Ren stood, with half on his energy left, slightly disappointed that his move didn't fully hit Scyther. "Darn, I couldn't time his speed with his time on the ground correctly." Ren said to himself. "This battle is still not over, so I still have to give it my all." Ren told himself trying to encourage himself to keep fighting. Instead of going for another hit, Ren decides to use Growl. He prepares for the attack and then releases the Growl once it is ready.

 

[Miyuki]

(Sorry for the late reply, got dragged into other things .-.)


The Scyther had regained the ability to use Agility, and had used the time to boost its speed with it a few times, now moving quite fast. The Scyther was right up in front of Yuki by the time Ren used Growl, about to hit her.

(You're fine, it seems like the other people disappeared)


Ren could barely catch up with Scyther's speed while using the Growl. Ren didn't notice Scyther's position until after it was in front of Yuki. "What th-" Ren says surprised. Knowing that Yuki would not be able to withstand a hit, he had to think quick. With little time to think of a plan, he decides to take the hit for Yuki since they were not that far apart. Trying to go as fast possible Ren tries to jump in front of Yuki.

 

[Miyuki]

The scyther spins, rather than using Quick Attack or any kind of move that actually requires such close range, it used Vacuum Wave again, the attack just barely before Ren gets there. The Scyther was delayed from having used that attack, open to be hit if he can be slowed down. Yuki gets hit, sent flying back into a tree a little ways away. The Scyther pushes off the ground to jump away, using Agility to raise its speed just enough to get away before getting hit, should he manage to do so. Once again, Yuki had used Disable, which caused the Agility to fail, it not able to get that last bit of speed to avoid any attack from Ren.

Realizing that he was too late, Ren had to think of another plan. In an attempt to match Scyther's speed Ren had to use his fastest move. Knowing that Shadow Sneak has a +1 speed priority, he uses the move to attack Scyther before he could get too far away.

 

[Miyuki]

Scyther tried to leap up in the air to avoid the attack, but he was already too late. He got hit, making him lose his balance completely. The Scyther stumbled back to its feet, beginning to walk away. Yuki, on the other hand, couldn't just stand back up. She had hit the tree pretty hard, leaving her unable to move all that well. She was lucky to be conscious.

 

[Polo]

Ren now had the decision to either keep attacking or go help Yuki. He couldn't let the Scyther get off lightly from the way it attacked Yuki and him. Plus, he was also embarrassed of how weak the Scyther made Ren look. In the end, Ren's pride overpowered him and he decided to use another Shadow Sneak at the Scyther.

 

[Miyuki]

The Scyther turned back at him, angry that he wants to fight more. The Scyther flies at him with Quick Attack, swinging right at his neck, going to grab onto him and throw him as hard as the Scyther could at a tree. Yuki just watches, her now returning to her scared and shy self, curling up as best as she could.

 

[Polo]

Ren manages to dodge the Quick Attack with the shadow sneak and is now behind the Scyther. He proceeds with the Shadow Sneak that he started and goes straight towards Scyther.

 

[Miyuki]

The Scyther wasn't actually aiming for Ren, but keeps flying straight at Yuki. Yuki manages to move off to the side slightly, causing the Scyther to ram into the tree. The Scyther falls to the ground, Yuki backing up as fast as she could, scared that it might attack her again.

 

[Polo]

"What a coward!" Ren says to himself, referring to the Scyther. With Ren's Shadow Sneak in place he decided to head towards Yuki instead of Scyther. But not to attack, only to get near her. The move stops once Ren is 2 feet away from Yuki. He then walks toward Yuki and stands near her to make sure the Scyther doesn't come back to attack.
