I've been REALLY busy with work and will endeavor in the future to let people know ahead of time. The game is alive and well, I just need a couple more days to grade an insane amount of stuff. <3
 
That's what I assumed too I just needed to get it verified. Heyitsjiwon Heyitsjiwon Now that I have you here let me ask another question. Are there cart/riding animals in the colony—like horses, mules, or oxen—or does everyone have to walk everywhere?
 
There's a few. The Highborn, Fennec and Tyren recently tamed a bunch of giant runner lizards. Attolians have a few warhorses, and stone constructs. The dwarves have some.... weird things.
 
You can spend wealth to get some runner lizards, otherwise you'd have to import horses, which may not be long off.
 
Think of it as putting money into getting your own stable. You wouldn't be buying them from say, the tyren... you'd be expending resources to acquire your own.

Though public use of runners has been consistently on the rise.

I don't think they'd perform well in the cold and rocky Shearcliffs. Especially during the winter. I'm looking for a warm-bloodied furry beasts of burden. As of right now, it sounds like the Gewgaws will be footing it everywhere.

I will also be introducing a new mechanic when winter is in full swing -- Colony Fear level. If things like fisher mother, the frozen Nerid, The undrowning one, the earth serpent, and other beasties are left alone too long, fear will rise in the colony. It will easily effect morale, but high fear can cause negative modifiers to orders and projects.

(Fear level and what is causing it will also showcase points of interest in the world and further incentivise dealing with threats in the world)

To answer ones question, because taming, capturing the Runners did take time and resources are already tamed and being bred. They are to my understanding for sale.

Rather, I should say that the Highborn (assuming the Tyren, Fennec) are willing to sell them to the Attolians (or trade them, barter ectera) and others. The Dwarves were intending on breeding their Steeds as well.
 
Could someone explain to me what the role of the Mage Guild is? Are all the factions apart of it or just the more magically talented ones? I ask because the party has a project they'd like to bring to the guild for assistance and expertise, assuming that's basically how the guild operates.
 
It's basically a center where all the colony mages collude on problems and share solutions, if not so much secrets

Hold up. So, the gew gaws have a charter? Welp, Attolians don't have a complaint then if they wish to join the Colonial Government.
