The Duck Overlord
Hello hello! I'm so sorry if this is a "just me" thing or a "just you and the 5 other people you talk to" thing, but I'm afraid that something has broken some excellent BBCodes on the site.
It was first brought to my attention via this placeholder code by xayah. Now, the play button on the music player used to be centered, but now it is skewed right for reasons unclear. The "best" solution at the moment is to add a pause icon and hope it doesn't look too weird, but otherwise nothing fixes the alignment. The post has not been changed; the code has not been changed. Yet when you load the page with the code, that button jumps to the right
(I can confirm that I have tried it on Chrome and Firefox.)
Next up is one of the lovely codes from the nine lives cafรฉ. (First link is the original code post, the next one is an example of it in action where I noticed/investigated the problem.) The scrolly bit in the second tab, specifically near the bottom, refuses to scroll on Chrome and on Android phones. Firefox and iPhones seem to have no issue. (It's a small part of the code, but it's very confusing.) The code itself has not been changed since 2021, and the lovely Gao has confirmed they have not done anything to the code to cause an issue with the scrolling. What's really odd is how it seems to be Google-based browsers/devices having the issue with this one.
So I guess the overarching question is: was there an update to BBCode itself? Or to the site's structure? What would cause issues like this? Are all BBCodes in danger? I thought it would be best to bring this up before more and more of our wonderful members' codes start to bite the dust. Thank you for reading through this, and thank you in advance for any insight!
