"Giovanni Edwindo Carter, Ethan Faust... please move to the battle arena." A short stout man in an arena staff uniform informed them.

When they entered into the arena, a the sound of water falling and bird calls greeted them. The tree cover above them was so thick, they could hear the crowd the cheered for blood. The arena was a rare and beautiful sight. The sight of a once proud ancient estate, reclaimed by nature itself.

As soon as they stepped through the gates, they shut with a loud clink and the crowd erupted in a loud roaring cheer.

"Round 3! Giovanni... Versus... Ethan!" The announcer said loudly.

Another loud cheer erupted. The announcer didn't even wait for it to stop before she spoke again,

"FIGHT!"

They had gotten his name right this time. FINALLY! And the best were now in this contest. Or moreso, the ones that showed up for a real fight had been pulled from the bunch of cowardly individuals to make their stand as the kings and queens of the battle. This tournament was about to get a big turn around. The blood and gore and carnage that had ensued already was about to get even more abundant. there were about to be signature moves and big combinations to be pulled out. The thought of having a worthy foe most likely soon made The Wickerolan almost shaky and shiver with anticipation as he heard the announcement for him to come to the arena.

"Giovanni Carter, please report to the arena for battle." It sounded to him almost like a promise for a battle of a lifetime in his opinion. He could only hope and pray for such. In this moment, Gio's attire had been pretty consistent in color scheme as of the last few matches. But something told him that this was a special occasion. Something that needed true regal fashion to it. The perfect attire came to his mind as he opened the small doorway to the closet to pull out the red long-sleeved shirt and matching yoga pants. The small crown that he had come with was perched atop his head after putting on the clothing. The weapons were where they were before. Two blades upon his hips, a handgun upon his rib cage, and a set of emerald eyes with glare set to daggers.

"Time to pay your dues to dance with The Devil...." Gio whispered to himself as he looked into the full length mirror to memorize his placements of weapons. And then the door opened to his room by his own hand. It was a very short trip to make it to the arena entrance. A small bubble-like object opening to allow him inside as it descended into the battle field. Ruins? These were new to him. Something that he began to instantly assess when the doors opened to reveal such a sight to him. A second of quick sighting, he stepped out. It wasn't too much different than the graveyard. Lots of cover area, many roots to burn possibly to close off the path. And then it hit him.

Like a blow to the head, the roar of the crowd hit his eardrums with a vengeance to spark that animal inside him. One weakness to Gio was the sounds of people cheering him on. It made him lose some control of his intelligence and made this monster come out of him. Such a sweet release of this side of him though, as he let out a fierce roar into the air. This primal scream, a sign of death and destruction to those that wished to take him on. "YOU COME TO DIE, ALCHEMIST! YOU SHALL BE ENDED WITH FASHION AND INTEGRITY!!!" And the crowd seemed to love such a yelling action, chanting his name as if the mantra of a gladiator or a killing machine.

Let the games begin!

The previous battle took its tole not for the physical but the mental struggles the young man had to face. His previous opponent was ruthless as he was cunning. His twisted acts only heightened by his sadistic forms of torture. If not for Ethan's cleverness with the poison glasses he would have never made it out unscaved. Still the poison was only a deep slumber and while his foe had drifted off the battle was decided. Soon Ethan was lead out back to a resting area where he was greeted with a fresh meal and drink. His body was looked over and after showing him the line up he was glad to see a moments rest.

Still an unsettling ember kicked in Ethan's core when he saw his next challenger. His face and name was burned into his memory "Giovanni Edwindo Carter..." looking back to his previous battles the individual didn't seem to show much and most of his opponents gave in to his might with little a fight. Still to face someone more beast of myth then reality was going to be trouble. Looking to his lists of approved potions he submitted his request to the young woman who turned it into the officials. One of the men looked over his list then back to Ethan curious of his choices still the young alchemist simply nodded "...If those can be prepared per my instructions then I am okay with these." as the man shook and agreement.

Ethan relaxed his body feeling the fatigue fade as his mind wander back to his home. The building here hid the sky and the sound of the forest with running rivers seem so distant. He looked back to his leader Skyre and how he would have enjoyed such a tournament or how the wild Desiree would have topped the charts with her control of the winds. It was then Ethan's eyebrow rose recalling a moment in battle they had once faced. Looking back to the parchment of his foe Ethan smiled "It just might work..." as he rolled the paper and prepared for the fight.

Time passed and soon the announcer's voice rang loud across the halls and waiting areas. "Ethan Faust, please report to the arena for battle." it echoed as Ethan tucked the last of his items into his satchel. Walking to the arena doors he took a deep breath as his fingers traced his master's emblem upon his bag. "We are so close....stay strong and wait for me..." as his hands pushed through the heavy doors. A bright light once more appeared and like before Ethan was surrounded and basked in a world unlike any he has seen before. Ruins of marble and stone stretched far and wide. All overtaken by the growth of nature, vines seemingly strangling the ruins as if to bury it from the world. The air was cool yet had a warm breeze from the west. The wind would whistle between the abandon hallways and arches.

Before Ethan could revel further the loud cheers of the audience and the announcer started the event broke out like thunder. Soon after a roaring voice reverberated over the cheers, deep and full of power it claimed the life of the young alchemist. Ethan's heart raced for a moment from such a fierce voice but his wisp stood in front of him humming rabidly. The young man smiled at the ball of light and nodded "Your right she's waiting and this is no time to be delaying..." as he gripped his strap and climbed up to the top of a tower staircase that was exposed to the world. From his experience with his first opponent and the cruelty of his second Ethan realized simply walking out in broad opening would be too much a risk, after all a true battle must include not only strength but cunning and this for was going to be testing both to the limits.

Ethan clasped his hands as he began to control his flow. His eyes started to turn blue resembling the stars of the sky. As he finished he turned to his wisp grasping her within his hand. The light flickered as the pulses went faster and faster. Then quickly with his other hand he slammed it between his palms. The wisp erupted into small balls of light, like fireflies they spread around the alchemist. Separating his hands and directing the small sprites the little lights flew out across the ruins. Hoping that someone of such grace and age would see them only as bugs it would be the best chance to net in his foe's location. Looking up to the sky he took one last pray as his eyes once more fell to the battlefield. "Yell and roar all you want Great Giovanni but I vow today even a mighty creature like you can't escape fate." his voice traveled like a whisper across the stoned rubble walls as he removed the first vial flowing of silver and black from his bag. "...I will not be denied mine." as he held his promise close to his heart.

What was this? His opponent had shown up, and apparently with a promise of some nice show. Oh glorious greatness! He was actually going to get a fight. FINALLY! The Wickerolan was ecstatic this moment as he watched Ethan take to the stairs with some sort of quickness. What was the rush? Now that Gio had a battle, he was not about to have it end so soon. He wanted to truly please the crowd now. Wanted to make it an exciting display for the patrons of the stands and VIP sections. A good champion was to be crowned at the end of this. One with style, grace and ruthlessness. And that king was Giovanni Edwindo Carter.

With a smile plastered on his face, he quickly reached toward his hips and drew the dual blades slowly in a reverse grip. The blades were pointing downward at the time, giving Giovanni a good close quarters weapon with the hilts of the blade and nice protection for his back too. But as he looked up at the many fireflies and such scoping and spreading throughout the field, Gio knew something was up. Why would he simply do such a thing, for display himself? That was not about to be allowed, thought Gio as he knelt down in the slightest to build up some energy. And with a quick extension of his legs the energy took Gio into the air right toward Ethan. A hop, to suffice.

With inhuman speed and strength, Giovanni was just a few feet from the one most seemed to call 'The Alchemist' with his weapons drawn, and the winds of his propulsion blowing away the little bugs to wipe them off of course. A glimmer or spark of excitement seemed to burn in Gio's emerald eyes as he brought his arms forward in a pair of fists just inches apart. One aimed well for the chest and the other just below it toward the gut.

"What makes you think you can battle with me, kiddo?" Came the roar of the Wickerolan as everything seemed to subside, and Giovanni's bodice appeared to be perched on the railing on top of the stairs. But why just be so straight forward and such? There was no need for such. And so Gio grinned evilly as he started to feel the wind pick up to blow shoulder length platinum locks from his right to left as a gale force breeze swept up the staircase. A force that could take a man well off of his feet or send them high within the air. So what was it going to be, back a bit more within the doorway behind Ethan or mayhaps something else that was up the sleeve?

Ethan watched with amazing focus to the sheer force the individual brought. This man like creature was faster then his first opponent but from his eagerness and wicked smile he was as smug as the former prince. Ethan could tell from the speed and distance his strength was of no comparison, like a bug the creature could easily split him in two, and so with a smirk it was time to play the mouse in this towering power. His hissing words where all that was needed as Ethan simply smiled back "Your right what makes me think I can...?" as he slammed the dark vial into the ground as the firefly sprites flew up quickly from the gust of wind Giovanni had brought with him. They ignited the dark cloud causing a fire fierce and wild roar of heat and black mist. Ethan had dropped from the stairs using his boar skin to protect from the intense heat. Rushing to the window ledge he pulled upon a vine sliding hard to the bottom of the tower.

Ethan knew the fire would do little and even the supplier looked at him bewildered to why he would ask for such an item let alone two more of the same brew, but still he held fast to his plan hoping it was enough. The small sprites reformed near his shoulder as the wisp took form once more humming fast. Quickly he dashed to the hallways removing two more black and silver vials setting them upon cracks and holes found along the way. Splitting his wisp into four smaller sizes they dashed in different directions as he held unto his dagger calming his breathing and heart rate. His voice echoed from the wisps to confuse his location "They say a kingdom no matter how great if built upon sand will still crumble...you are not the first to make their stance using power." as the wisps spread far across the ruins. Ethan hid among the vines and foliage watching carefully the smoke and black mist of the fire disperse.

Ethan had bet on this fight going in two ways. Either he would have ended it quickly or aimed for a true fight to fulfill his need of pride. It was a huge gamble but his hunch was right, Giovanni's previous battles where lack luster and in each case his face looked disappointed and resentful. For now his plan was working but how long could this hold off. He held his dagger close as he kept himself pressed to the stone wall and vines as his eyes continued to glow.

Ethan stood silent still waiting on his opponent curious of the silence of these ancient ruins. Not even the wind moved as if waiting for the silence to break between the two players in the arena.
