Okay first off I wasn't saying that's my opinion. I was saying that's the opinion of the critics and they are entitled to thinking those things.
Do you have to agree? No.


But essentially you just jumped down my throat because I dared to say that opinions other than your own exist.


That to me is where the problem lies. With people that can't accept that other people feel differently or think differently to them.


Also just because people have opinions you don't agree with doesn't mean they have a bias and an agenda. These people are paid to review movies it's as simple as that.


And further more a movie is never made just for fans. That's ridiculous. A movie is made to make money and ( in the case of BvS ) it is made to intrique people enough that they watch other movies in the franchise.


And guess what most of the people who watch this movie aren't going to be fans. They might be somewhat familiar with the idea of Batman and Superman but they are very likely not going to know any of the insider information that diehard comic fans have.


And that shouldn't invalidate the enjoyment they can get out of this movie. And if some of those non-fan movie goers happen to be paid to write reviews on movies. Well that's their job and they ought to be allowed to do it in peace.


How would you like it if people came to your job and shouted at you about how you were doing it wrong or you had no right to do the thing your paid for because you didn't understand the process. That you were just being baised and carrying an agenda when you were going about your work day?


Now again. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with the critics. I am saying I respect their right to have an opinion and form my own opinion on my own feelings to the movie.

What do the developers care anyways? The critic reviews were trash, but in the end, the movie made hundreds of millions of dollars.

You are absolutely not understanding what I'm saying. The media, the numerous articles, the rumor spreading, the clickbaiting have NOTHING to do with your claim that "oh it's just their opinion" If you bothered to look you would have seen for MONTHS there was nothing but negative talk and rumor spreading about DCEU going to be a failure. And now that not only has it made money but people are DARING to form their opinions without paying any mind to film critics (which is a stupid and useless profession btw, you literally get paid to talk about movies, I have 0 respect for that kind of talent-less occupation that requires 0 hard work.)


The media and movie blogs are going full force with the bs spreading. "Suicide Squad undergoing re-shoots in response to BvS reviews!" "BvS underperforms! WB's DCEU is in trouble and our source says-"


They're spreading negativity, and btw, when a critic presents his 'opinion' as absolute fact, and starts acting snobby like some of the sites did writing articles like "BvS had a record opening, apparently some of you didn't read our review." that's when it becomes less of an issue of opinion and more of an issue of being a jerk.

First that is exactly my point. I didn't look into this so called rumor spreading hate filled vitrol.


I formed my opinion based on going to the movie and seeing it for myself.


Which I was under the impression this thread was about.


Not attacking people that may or may not have said things you disagree with or thought were inflamatory.


I'm sorry did you form you opinion based on that?


And I'm sorry but insulting an entire profession just because people "get paid to review movies" is exceptionally hurtful.


What if I were to say : oh well being an actor is a shit profession because you just get to play make believe all day.


These people do a difficult job. It involves a lot of people being shitty to them for no reason. It involves them taking a lot of time to watch numerous different movies and writing articles about them.


You think that's not difficult. Fine. You write a review about this movie. You get it published. Then you watch about ten other movies this week and do the same for them.


Then you can tell me that's not hard work. Otherwise have some respect for how other people make their living.


Now I'm sorry but I'm done talking here.
