- Description: Triana has a strong sense of adventure, wanting to explore the world and discover all that it has to offer. She can be a bit shy and guarded when she meets new people because she’s honestly used to having Pokémon as friends, not humans. But she keeps her mind open to the possibility of making her first human friend.

Backstory: Triana was born in the Kanto region in a cabin home owned by her parents within the Viridian Forest. Both of her parents were Paleontologists and held a strong sense of adventure, a trait Triana of course inherited. The two had taken their daughter on many digs throughout her childhood and adolescence, and she loved it so much she decided to get into the field herself. While she did attend school, she wasn’t able to make friends growing up, having a hard time being social with them – and it didn’t help that a group of bullies often pushed her around. The first friends she ever made were her Pokémon when she was a teenager – her Bayleaf, Leafeon and Grovyle. She trained with them every day after school and became very attached to them, considering them her truest and only friends.

When she turned 18, her parents suggested she apply to Seranova Academy in Seabreeze City in order to get her degree in Paleontology. At first, Triana was a bit nervous about the idea of being on her own in a city where she knew she’d have to mingle with other humans, and of course at this point she was hesitant to be around people given she tried to make human friends but couldn’t. Still, this was the promise of a grand adventure, and she couldn’t resist its call. With her Pokémon at her side for support, she set out to the Academy to get her degree.

  Many people would describe Camilia as "a model student." She's intelligent and well-educated, respects her teachers, and respects her classmates. She aims to be the valedictorian of this school, and she'll work hard to reach that goal. Usually, planning a hangout or even a date with her is challenging because of the amount of work she will take on, but she'll do her best to navigate around. Camilia also acts quite formally most of the time and will generally act formally with someone until she's familiar with them.
  
  She is also an optimistic and friendly figure. She's easy to make friends with, acts as a mentor to those who need help, genuinely cares for the well-being of others, and is willing to listen to other people's struggles.
  
  She can certainly be stubborn at times, however. In arguments, she takes a long time to back down and will continue to argue for hours upon hours upon hours in order to win. Additionally, she hates troublemakers - and has very little tolerance for their behavior.
  
  Additionally, strangely enough, she very easily develops crushes. Within a few days of knowing someone, she can genuinely start to develop feelings for someone. Around those people, she tends to act a bit more nervous and flustered and will struggle to strike up a conversation.
  
  However, everything I mentioned... is only half of who Camilia truly is.
  
  Camilia is very, very insecure. She's absolutely frightened by the prospect of another failure, and she doesn't want to ever think of disappointing her family once more. She stresses constantly time and time again, and she commonly experiences anxiety.
  
  She cannot live with another failure. This school remains her last chance.
  
  She wants.. no, she needs to be perfect at any cost.

  Background
  
  
  Camilia was born to a former Kalos Queen (for those not familiar with the anime, Kalos Queen is the title one gets for winning the Pokemon Performance Championships in Kalos) and a rich CEO from Galar. She has a younger female sibling who is four years younger than her.
  
  Being the daughter of two of the world's most successful people, Camilia's expectations were certainly high. Her mother aimed to have Camilia become the next Kalos Queen, and her dad also wanted her to inherit his huge business. As such, she was trained from a young age to become a Pokemon performer and even how to run a business.
  
  She hated both and found no passion in either. Over time, however, the discipline her parents taught her set in, and she worked to fulfill both of her parents' expectations. She actually became somewhat of a prodigy in both fields, becoming very talented.
  
  She also succeeded in school. Because of her intelligence, she moved up a grade and was always the top rank in her class. Camilia was certainly a rising star, and it seemed her rise was inevitable. She had a few friends growing up, but her main friend was her sister, who looked up to her. Camilia's sister wasn't as naturally talented as her, but she still had the determination to become just like her.
  
  Soon, as Camilia became a teenager, she began entering performances. Her first performances were beyond fantastic, and she quickly rose to fame as "Alyssa's (her mother's) daughter". In fact, she reached the Kalos Queen finals in her rookie season.
  
  But, of course, things didn't go well. Not only did she lose, but she lost in quite possibly the worst way possible. She tripped on one of her Pokemon, causing the whole performance that had been good up until this point to go absolutely haywire.
  
  It was embarrassing. Camilia walked off the stage, visibly holding back tears. To her mother and family, it was an absolute disgrace and embarrassment.
  
  Camilia reportedly stayed in her room for three straight days. Her parents didn't really care about her much anymore, only providing her with necessities and barely talking to her anymore. Her mother and father both started paying more attention to her sister. In fact, her sister began to distance herself from her despite their previous friendship.
  
  Camilia dealt with the incident for around a year. Her parents mostly ignored her, her friends left her, and her honor was destroyed. Yet, she managed to get through it. She picked up other hobbies, like crocheting and writing, attempting to create a new life. These hobbies not only got her back on her feet but kept her from giving up on her life altogether. She hadn't ever, however, picked up performing once more.
  
  A year later after the incident, her father had a serious conversation with Camilia. He practically offered her a second chance to become the Kalos Queen and the heir to his business, as he didn't see much promise from her sister. He told her to attend Azurecoast Academy—and he'd pay for her tuition as long as she managed to revive her career. However, he noted that if she failed to do so, she would be kicked out of the house and forced to drop the Chevalier name. This was Camilia's last chance to prove herself to her family, so she immediately accepted.
  
  However, Camilia had lost most of her will to even hit the performing stage. She didn't even want to major in it. So, she's trying to find a way out of performing. She's declared undecided for the time being, seeing if she can prove to her father that she can do something else. She hasn't told her father about that yet, however.

  Jack revolves his life around the world of battling and will train for hours upon hours. Literally, he doesn't think much of anything else. He is always strategizing his next battle, even in possibly some of the least appropriate moments. He doesn't care about any school subjects unless they involve battling - and of course, that means his grades are nothing short of abysmal (except for his battling grade, of course, where he always finds himself even surpassing a grade of 100). This also sort of applies to his social life, where his only friends back in Galar were, well, people who were also interested in battle. He's not easy to make friends with - in fact, he's notoriously difficult to get along with. He loves to get into trouble, especially since he has somewhat of a "security blanket" backed by his father.
  
  He only respects those who take either the Battling or the Performing/Coordinating major. He doesn't really regard the Performing/Coordinating major with a lot of respect, but because the girls there are reportedly "very hot" to him, he respects it a little. Jack can be a little flirtatious and teasing towards girls he likes, too.
  
  He's also quite overconfident and even a bit arrogant. He often introduces himself by his long, self-proclaimed nickname (see above), which always puts him on the list of the worst first impressions in history. Additionally, he's one for teasing and even manipulating at times.
  
  Jack also puts more effort into coming up with creative insults for people than into most of his schoolwork. He skips classes, intentionally gets bad grades, cheats on tests, puts no effort into his classwork or homework, coerces people into giving him answers, and even flirts with the teacher. Yeah, you heard me right.
  
  He also talks down to people constantly. He has an inflated ego that is brought to him both by his physique and battle capabilities. It's incredibly hard to break it, too, but a major battle loss could temporarily bring it down.

  Jack was born to a professor (his mother) and a trainer (his father). His father was a renowned trainer in the Galar League, and while he never managed to win a championship match, he was still rather respected and even was close to beating Leon, and Jack idolized him. His mother was a self-employed traveling researcher who often went away on research missions with her friends, and Jack wasn't really a fan of all of the times she had to leave. He found her research to be mostly useless, and he didn't really like his mother.
  
  As his father retired, he began to teach Jack the ways of battling, which Jack immediately fell in love with. Jack's main goal is to not only match his father's strength, but also to surpass him and even become champion. Jack, of course, would need to get an endorsement in the Galar League, which his father is currently working towards at the moment. For now, his father recommended he develop his skills at Azurecoast, and while Jack was initially hesitant, he did see an opportunity coming here, and decided to attend the Academy.
  
  He has never encountered any hardship in his life, and he has been given the best hand possible. Now, he aims to use this hand to become the World Champion. He doesn't care much for the Academy, but if it has the best facilities for battle, he's in for it.

  • Personality: Elsie is seen as a charismatic and compassionate girl to everyone she meets even if they're strangers to her, this includes any Pokemon. She's very loud, talkative, goofy, always making jokes and is blunt, she will say her opinions right to your face, and she doesn't like sugarcoating anything as that doesn't resolve anything. Once you get her talking though, she will not stop, and can talk your ear off about whatever it is she's going on about. Very hardworking, her schedule always ends up filled completely, she's the type of person to say yes to peoples request for help even if she has other things to worry about. Elsie is altruistic, and can be seen as motivational for others, she cares for those around her wanting them to succeed, constantly pushing them towards a goal, which can make her seem pushy to those who doesn't seem to see her good intentions. People who are friends with her often go to her for unbiased advice since she will give it to you straight even if it means hurting your feelings. She's quite the daredevil always jumping into anything, risky or not, she does not care about the consequences and is described as being fearless for doing something others may see as scary. Elsie is incredibly vain caring too much about her looks, though she doesn't go around making it obvious. She wakes up early in the morning, sacrificing sleep just to make sure she looks pampered, and is the best dressed student at the academy, this fact ties into her competitive nature. She hates when people get ahead of her, whether it be school work, battling, anything, she's envious, always wanting to one up them or be like them, turning anything into a competition, no one really knows she's extremely competitive though (and deeply insecure).

    • Elsie was born to two working parents, both of them working corporate office jobs in Lumiose City, resulting in the two always being away on business trips, with no time to spend with Elsie. That left young Elsie in the care of her grandma in the hidden yet beautiful Laverre City, one of the most mysterious in the region. As she was growing up, she watched all of her childhood friends get their own Pokemon, of course being only a young child Elsie was saddened as she was left out of all the fun her friends were having. Elsie’s grandmother had seen how upset her granddaughter was, as Elsie moped around, and slept all the time. So she had suggested to Elsie that maybe they could both go to the local Pokemon Center to see the trainers who were stopping there to rest and prepare to face the gym leader that was in their city. They can introduce themselves and maybe even get to meet some of their Pokemon, or Elsie could even ask Nurse Joy if she needed any assistance in caring for the Pokemon. Instantly perking up at her grandmother’s suggestion, Elsie had happily followed her grandmother to the Pokemon Center in their city. Once they had arrived, they were greeted by Nurse Joy there, where she had shown Elsie around the facility. The girl had never stepped foot in a Pokemon Center as she hadn’t had a purpose to before, but now that she has, Elsie found herself enthralled, wanting to learn everything she could about being a Nurse. This went on for hours, Nurse Joy showing Elsie the basics of healing and taking care of injured Pokemon. She even had the chance to meet trainers and their Pokemon who were passing by, and got to watch Nurse Joy treat a few. By nightfall, Elsie had to go home, but going to the Pokemon Center to volunteer and help out became a routine for years to come.
      
      Elsie had volunteered at the Pokemon Center for years, the whole town dubbing her the Lil Healer for her innate talent for caring for Pokemon. Along the way she picked up the love of battling as well, she never actually acted more on this hobby though wanting to continue focusing on her dream of becoming a Nurse. She's dreamed of opening her own Pokemon Center to help those in need even if she isn't part of the Nurse Joy family. Her grandmother pushed her to join the academy to better her skills and gain new ones, Elsie was hesitant to leave her grandmother but she couldn't just pass up on an opportunity like this.

  Overall, pleasant! Kind! And just an absolute delight to be around!.. Until you bring out the pokeballs. Then his other side comes out. The extremist revolutionary, pokemon freedom, team plasma was right side of himself. Depending on your reaction, it could either be very good, very awkward, or. . .
  Lets just say you might want to have a receipt for those pokeballs.
  
  He hates battling. Absolutely despises it. So why is he studying it as his major? Well. Because his Pokémon love battling. The idea of becoming the champion was actually brought up by one of his companions, a Kirlia named Beth. Due to the convincing of his friends to try and become the champion to change the system. He reluctantly said yes. Quintin invested every spare minute he had studying it. He trained right along side his Pokémon, getting stronger. Strengthening their bond.
  He still rarely battles. Only doing so when necessary. If possible he'll take care of any other aggressive problem with a punch to the mouth. I would like to say that he isn't inherently a violent person. He just cares a lot about his friends.
  
  If you should happen to become friends with him. Then consider yourself lucky because he's one of the most loyal people you'll ever meet. Almost to a fault.

  Quintin Blake was born and raised in Unova. His father was a berry farmer and item seller while his mother from the Kyoto region was a nurse. He spent his childhood learning the different kinds of berries and how to take care of Pokemon. Two Pokémon grew up by his side. A Ralts named Beth and a Zoobat named Johto for that's where his mother got him from. Everything was good. Until Team Plasma formed. Quintin encountered the group and absorbed all their truths and ideals. He shockingly announced to his mother and father. "The Pokémon must be freed.

Personality: Annika is an Introverted person that keeps to herself a lot and often is around usually to draw or reading in her spare time. She possesses a keen intellect, showing a natural aptitude for learning and problem-solving. Her intelligence allows her to grasp complex concepts quickly and excel in academic pursuits, Despite her intelligence, Annika often grapples with fears and worries. She tends to anticipate negative outcomes, and her mind can become a labyrinth of anxieties, making her cautious in various situations and very much worried on other's opinions a lot. Backstory: Born from a Former Coordinator from the Sinnoh Region and a Former Island Kahuna in Alola on Melemele Island, She grew up as the youngest child out of five within the family with her Shinx given to her as a gift by her mother for her birthday. She stuck by the pokemon's side. Aside from her parents, She knew her siblings had already aspired to become something from a young age, Each all following their own dreams of becoming Pokemon Trainers, Professors, Nurses, Or even a Coordinator. But young Annika didn't know what to do as the younger Alolan child would be confused on what she wanted to learn on what to do.

Her siblings overshadowed her and she was jealous, but she wanted to figure out on what to do as of often during her time in Melemele Island, She would help out others around the island and visit others on other Islands around alola to get their advice on what to do as she grew up, while during that time her own Pokemon team grew, and her Shinx finally managing to evolve into a Luxio for which she was glad for, since it was her first time of one of her Pokemon Evolving including her Ruckruff Stone, Evolving into his Midnight form later on. During those events, She would be amazed by the Island Guardians and their battles, and was often Enthralled by her mother's stories of Pokemon Coordination, as well was often jealous of her siblings own jobs.

She hoped if she can find with what she wants to do, and she thinks that Azurecoast is the best Academy if she wants to learn something.

  Personality:
  Pear is, as many people are, a person with two sides. Most people know them as being a very unassuming person, one who doesn't stand out much in any major way. And this is by intention. Pear learned early that standing out would only make more problems for them, and thus takes pains to not be noticed much. They wear simple clothes, they don't talk much, they keep mostly to themself, and that's about it. You're most likely to see them somewhere off to the side of the action, hanging out with their Pokémon and texting on their Xtransceiver. Most people would find little reason to be interested in them, little reason to bother them, and little reason to think about them once they're out of sight.
  
  Surprisingly, though, Pear does sometimes show moments of extreme assertiveness and aggression, which seem to come spontaneously and unexpectedly. They've stood up to bullies, stuck their neck out for people in need, and lashed out at friends and enemies alike. What all these moments share, though, is that even Pear doesn't know they're coming until they do, and they shock even themself.
  
  These incidents start to show Pear's other side, one that is surprisingly comfortable and self-assured. When on their own or around people that they are comfortable with, they are actually quite talkative, assertive, and jovial. They love poking fun at their friends and helping them out in any way that they're able, whether that be on assignments or just with life stuff. They'd also be happy to take some pictures for you, whether of your Pokémon of you yourself, if you ask them; they picked up photography when they first got a Pokémon and found it so adorable that they had to take hundreds of pictures of it. Friends know that Pear is someone you can always rely on, whether for support or a silly pun, and they'll come to value their presence as a loyal and stalwart ally.
  
  However, Pear does have their faults. They tend to avoid problems rather than face them head on, at least until they are confident enough that they can solve them to take decisive action. They can be flaky and indecisive at times, especially when they are uncomfortable, while sometimes overaggressive when they are. They have a tendency to lash out when they are frustrated, and friends and allies can get caught in the crossfire.   Pear doesn't have much of an interest in Pokémon battles or contests, but also won't shy away for them when standing up for something they believe in, someone they want to protect, or a friend that needs support.   Pear (born Marissa) was born in Nacrene City in the Unova region, and had a rough early life, owing largely to a father that made their life miserable. From a young age they learned that acting out meant angering him, and when he was angry he would take it out on Pear's mother, both verbally and physically. So they did their best to remain quiet and unassuming, to give their father fewer reasons to act and keep their mother safe. He would also disappear for days to weeks, taking their mother with them. Pear had no idea where they went, and they knew better than to ask her father. Their mother just whispered something about "business trips" and wouldn't say anything more. While she tried to make sure the apartment was always stocked in case they had to leave, sometimes Pear was left without much food or attention, not including when they would avoid asking their father for food and go hungry. As a result, they physically developed at a slower rate, and ended up stopping at only 4'8".
  
  School wasn't too bad for them, in general. Like at home, they kept to themself and avoided drawing attention, and overall it worked out well. They had some friends here and there, but they came and went as friends do. It wasn't until middle school when they saw a classmate of theirs being shoved up against the lockers by a group of bullies that they felt a sudden impulse and threw their whole body at the leader, knocking him off balance and allowing the boy to slip away. They got a good kicking for interfering, but they never regretted the unexpected energy that pushed them to act. After meeting up with the boy later to check on him, who went by the name Treble, "because it sounds pretty nice, doesn't it?" they ended up hanging out, and over the course of the rest of the year they became very close friends.
  
  Pear's first close encounter with Pokémon was for their 14th birthday. They had admitted to Treble that they hadn't really celebrated their birthday before, and they ended up inviting them over to a surprise birthday party at his house with his family. There he gave them their first real gift: a Pokémon egg. Treble said that everyone deserved a Pokémon to call a friend, and together (keeping it at his house to keep Pear's parents from knowing) they cared for it and kept in comfortable and happy until the day it hatched into an adorable baby Corsola. Corsola because Pear's first partner, and they were a much happier person having her in their life. Pear say Corsola as being the key to their happiness, and thus nicknamed it "Key".
  
  Several years later, with the pair closer than ever, Pear finally opened up to Treble about the situation at home, how their father acted, and how they were afraid of him and what he did to their mother. They also admitted to him, as the first person they really felt they could trust, that they didn't feel like a girl, and wanted to be referred to with neutral pronouns. They wanted to stop going by "Marissa" and pick a new name, maybe "Peri" because of their middle name, and it was Treble that jokingly said that they should just go by "Pear" instead. Treble also secretly told what Pear had said about their father to his parents, who contacted the local authorities. Things began to happen behind the scenes, and soon Pear's father was arrested for domestic abuse and removed from the life of Pear and their mother.
  
  Things finally began to get better in Pear's life with their father gone: they could be themself at home, and they gradually began to open up to their mother about themself and who they felt they were now that they didn't worry about how their father would react. They two grew a lot closer, and Pear didn't have to keep Key a secret anymore, preparing their father's old room into a big playroom with a pool and toys for the Corsola. When they graduated high school, their mother even recommended that they take an internship at the nearby Unova Pokémon Daycare because of how much it sounded like they loved the process of caring for Key before and after they hatched. Nervous though they were, they decided to apply, and soon they were playing with the baby Pokémon at the Day Care and caring for the Pokémon left there by trainers from across Unova. They even adopted a little Cleffa that had been abandoned, naming it "Mento" because "clearly it mento light the day care on fire with that metronome attack" and "of course they mento spit poison in the day care worker's face with that metronome attack". By the time their year of internship ended, little Mento had evolved into a Clefairy, and the day care coordinator recommended that they apply to the Azurecoast Academy program for Pokemon Breeding to nurture their clear interest and investment in the practice.

The type of person to get permanently stressed out about deadlines, exams, class ranking, and really anything to do with school--as well as anything that doesn’t do with school, come to think of it. Her constant neurotic worrying certainly carries over to other aspects of life, and she’s in a constant state of anxious overthinking-about-everything. Of course, there are upsides; such a nature translates to great meticulousness, making her a fantastic student and highly reliable in general. Most of the time, she’s sharp as a whip, but when it comes to people, there’s no doubt that she’s a bit of a mess. At best, she comes off as awkward, and at worst, haughty or standoffish.

Backstory:
The night Laurie was born in her family’s little home in Dendemille Town, Kalos, her father proclaimed that she would grow up to become a great Pokemon battler. This proclamation, unfortunately, turned out to be completely and utterly false. Oh, it was a reasonable assumption. Her father was a highly respected tournament battler in his heyday, and now her brother--fourteen years her senior, and a prodigy by many accounts--seemed in every way poised to become one of the hottest rising stars in the region. Surely, the latest and greatest model would do the same, maybe even better.

As it turned out, Laurie did end up getting the same smarts and excitement when dealing with Pokemon that characterized her family. Her temperament was different, though--less sure and steady--and her wit wasn’t the light-footed kind that made a great battler. That was okay, though, since it was discovered early on that Laurie had an aptitude for academia. She seemed to have a strong grasp for the sciences in particular, an observation made by an old neighbor who happened to be a seasoned Pokemon researcher. At some point in Laurie’s childhood, the old man began allowing her to wander about in his home--which was outfitted with all sorts of lab equipment and specimens--and observe his work. Why he did this, he never explained. One could surmise that the old man, having had no children of his own, may have been appreciative of the opportunity to pass his knowledge down to a young mind, something he’d never been able to do in the past.

Whatever the case, Laurie was able to excel academically as she grew older. Her parents were certainly proud of her, though certainly in a different way than her older brother. He’d become one of the most formidable tournament trainers in the region, as destined, and Laurie always harbored the feeling that she was…less. It wasn’t a feeling of envy or hate--no, she loved her brother very much--so much as plain old inadequacy. Because what was being top of her class compared to being renowned and idolized by millions? Whatever her own destiny was, she hoped she would realize it as she entered her next academic arena in the Seranova region.

Personality: A girl who greatly values her independence and believes she can forge her own path all by herself, Aurora isn’t someone that’s familiar with cooperation. Driven by a desire to be the best performer she can be, anyone else around her is an enemy that she has to surpass. She doesn’t typically allow herself to get close to others, only really keeping her pokemon as company. Deep down however, she harbors growing feelings of loneliness and self-hatred, something that Aurora believes only performing can fix. Her sharp tongue has often kept people away and at times she’s had a tendency to lash out, especially in moments when things haven’t gone as expected.

Backstory: Aurora was born in Lumiose City in the Kalos region. Both her parents were researchers who worked at a pokemon research lab in the southern half of the city, which unfortunately usually meant they were quite busy. There were a couple times where Aurora got to visit the lab and watch her parents work, but it didn’t happen often.

For much of her childhood, she was in the care of her uncle, who also lived in Lumiose. She got along well enough with him for the most part, but the same couldn’t be said for other kids her age. Aurora never seemed to be able to keep friends and as such she often played by herself. Her uncle must have noticed this, as one day he surprised her with a gift – an Eevee. It’s a gift her parents had also agreed to beforehand, perhaps as an apology of sorts for being away often. Aurora wasn’t sure what to make of the new companion at first, but slowly warmed up to it after about a week. After that, the two were inseparable.

As she grew older, Aurora found herself at a crossroads. She was never really interested in things like battling, unlike some of the other kids. She also didn’t care much for researching pokemon, like what her parents did. She was at a loss. There had to be something out there for her, right?

It was around that time when she stumbled across a pokemon performance that was being shown on tv. She immediately fell in love with it the moment she saw it, being completely in awe of the performer on screen. Aurora knew that this was it – she wanted to perform too. She wanted to be seen. To be acknowledged.

After bringing it up to her uncle and parents, and properly discussing it, Aurora was given the okay to take part in an upcoming performance. She practiced a lot with her Eevee and studied other past performances she could find. She put a lot of work into it, and yet, she still lost. Her performance itself was okay, but it couldn’t compare to everyone else. It just wasn’t good enough.

Aurora was devastated. But she was also angry. She wanted to scream and cry at the same time. She wanted to yell at the girl who beat her. Instead though, she hid away at home for a while. If she tried so hard, why didn’t it pay off? Why wasn’t it enough?

Time passed. Eventually, Aurora returned back to her daily life. But even after months passed by, the disappointment still lingered. She still wasn’t satisfied. Picking up on this, it was her uncle who brought up Azurecoast Academy. He said that if she really wanted to pursue a career in performing, and improve, perhaps she could figure it out there.

At first, she rejected the idea. She didn’t want to leave Kalos for some region she didn’t know to go to some unfamiliar academy. But after considering it for a bit, she ended up deciding to go for it. This could be her chance at a do-over. She really did want to perform, in a way that would truly outshine everyone for sure.

If the academy could give her that opportunity, she simply had to go.
