A World At War

(Interest thread created and written by @Rengar)

"A quiet peace has reigned over the beautiful, colossal continent of Zeldwa for just a few short years. Zeldwa, which covers over half of the planet's surface and is home to the vast majority of the planet's population, is split into five nations..."

The T'Odis Empire

A shrill and cold land, governed by strict laws and harsh living conditions; it sits on the northern end of the continent and is protected by the Great Ice Mountains.

T'Odis.jpg

The Holy Queendom of Roadalia

a kingdom whose cold climate and its land is protected and isolated by mountains and walls. The Great Ice Mountains protect its borders from the North while the remaining land is kept safe by the walls they have built.

Roadalia.jpg

The Kingdom of Kildra

spanned by green, hilly fields with a few mountain ranges, this kingdom borders the Dark Seas on the east. Its land is vast and open; it has a wide variety of terrain.

Kildra3.jpg

The Free Republic of Libertia

a land with untamed rainforests and ancient cities; the exotic plants and wildlife sated by the river veins found throughout this kingdom.

Libertia2.jpg

The Iron Kingdom of Indoria

A kingdom of baron land with a dry and warm climate; its climate’s only divergence is the oasis, nourished by the River of Life.

Indoria3.jpg

The Fishing Island of Parshum

An island separated from the remaining kingdoms by the Dark Seas. Its cool and crisp air is home to aquatic hunters and ports of ships for trade. This is the sixth nation and is not part of the continent of Zeldwa.

Though currently in a state of peace, this region's volatile history and tendency to attract danger threatens its current condition. Hidden forces, unseen to most, threaten to tip these nations back into the brink of war and violence; this brief respite finding itself threatened by servants of an evil and powerful entity known as Engriact. Who are these instruments of evil? What devious plans have they conceived? And when do they plan to unleash their cruelty and malice upon the people of Zeldwa?

Quick questions

I would like to know is there a prejudice between the nations?

What era it is in? (I'm assuming medieval or something similar)

What would the nationality called for citizens under each nation?

Thank you for your time.

Yes very much so. Within the RP is a thread with a detailed historical timeline that chronicles the tension between the nations/races.

What era it is in? (I'm assuming medieval or something similar)

The science and technology in the world is comparable to the late medieval period in Europe, particularly the 15th century. The melee weapon of choice is the Longsword and there is no Gunpowder. Plate armour is worn by the wealthy, while poorer combatants rely on Mail (armour). Crossbows are still in wide use.

What would the nationality called for citizens under each nation?

It can get a bit complicated. I still have to make a new thread that details the physical descriptions of each race.

Kildra - Kildrans - Resembles Light skinned Anglo-Saxon races. Red, Blonde, Brown, and Black Hair.

Roadalia - Kildrans/Nomasdae

T'Odis - T'Odis - Almost white/powder like skin. Stark white hair (rarely black) Light Blue eyes. Almost Albino-like. Almost always 6 feet and taller.

Libertia - Kildran/Nomasdae

Indoria - Nomasdae - Resembles Mediterranean to African races. Olive to black skin. Dark colored eyes. Black curly hair.
Parshum - Parshumian - Resembles Asian races. Light to olive skin. Dark colored eyes. Tend to be shorter then their counterparts.

Although every nation has some of every race, the countries that have two races listed have large populations of both races.

I sent a join request for the roleplay. :)

That's awesome! Can you handle 3-4 detailed paragraph responses? Only 1-2 times a week though? We do A LOT of pre planning of posts in PM.

I usually do 1-2 paragraphs alone, so 3-4 with planning should be possible.

This can be a VERY detailed RP and some of our joint/collab posts ( posts created in PM between 2 or more participants) can reach to be over 2000 words. These can take up to a week to create depending on everyone involved's schedules. That sound like something you can handle?

We'd love to have you! But can only accept you if you are going to be dedicated. Can't work a character into the plot only to have the participant stop replying a couple of weeks later. I suggest checking out the posts in IC in the RP first, and checking to see if you can handle those kind of posts. 3-4 paragraphs is bare minimal, but some posts, especially further down the line, will require more. Let me know if you have any questions!

@Princess Ami @Sammv

And of course anybody else lurking in the shadows of this topic  :)

Take a look at the RP and if you think you'd like to participate just make sure you're going to stick around so the RP doesn't have all these characters that are in the world then disappear.

Feel free to ask more questions if you have any!

I would love to join if possible?

Well damn these notification bugs.

Yes! We'd love to have you! what kind of character do you enjoy playing usually?

And can you keep up with 1-2 per week three paragraph minimum posts? Meaning you would only post once or twice a week but they would be at least 3 paragraphs or possibly more.

I would be thrilled to join this RP, the lore seems so fascinating.
There seems to be a huge potential to have characters with deep histories and relationships as well.

I'm the type who tends to write quite lengthy posts so this seems like something that I would definitely be interested in.

May I ask if you've gotten much interest in the past as well?

I usually enjoy playing unconventional characters. There is always an abundance of combat heavy or magic heavy characters in these kinds of things, so i tend to make characters that make the role-play less combat and action heavy. Characters like Merchants, alchemists, shop owners, miners. I can and love doing combat and action scenes with these characters but they shine in non-combat moments.

Yea I can handle that.

The RP is already going with a core cast! I just love adding new characters all over the world and am a skilled GM at keeping all together if I do say so myself. The update was a big blow (for all of our RPs I'm sure) and we had a few people never sign on again, so I'm beefing out the cast section. We'd love to have you. You sound like a perfect fit!

That's actually awesome and you would be a huge asset to a RP like this.

Hi, I'm still rather new to this site, but I would love to try something like this. I really enjoy reading the lore of fantasy worlds and I think I can length that you want for posts.
