Goddamn, I swear you people are reading my mind. There is some killer dope! Azae has a herb called "Pashush" whose leaves are dried and smoked. It is illegal in Roadalia, Indoria, and the T'Odis Lawful Lands. It is frowned upon in Kildra, but legal in Pashum & Libertia (it's mostly found growing in the rainforests in both Libertia and Kildra). Think of it as something similar to Skooma in Skyrim with effects similar to marijuana and mushrooms from our own world. There is thriving smuggler's market for the stuff and can easily be bought when asking the right barkeeps or bar wenches in the right taverns all over Azae.


Now we definitely have pirates of all sort! There are much more dastardly pirates like you mentioned and ones with more of a moral code (the johnny depp kind) I should make note for everyone to read that World Map will be updated with more cities when I get the chance. One of the cities I would like to add to Kildra is called, "Ocean's Wake", Kildra's first & failed attempt at a port city. It now appears to be a ghost town, but under the ground is found a Pirate's city. A meet-up/hideout/hang out for all the local pirates of Azae.


Update: I have added all the flags that Dirk wonderfully made to each nation's description spoiler. Keen eyes will noticed I have a header for that fabled timeline I keep talking about. Dirk and I will work on it tonight, but it probably won't be finished for a couple of days. Everyone will get a sexy update when we do though!

@noremac @Crucified Fear i figured while we're ahead a bit we could discuss interwoven backgrounds. I've read both your character sheets (Kudos, by the way) but in case you haven't read mine here's the deal. I had figured Noremac's character and mine would have crossed paths a time or two in his younger days, seeing as Jason was a mercenary for a large portion of his life. If not having had Jason served under Adam for a good few years. I feel Adam probably would have seen Jason as annoyingly honorable.
As for Kael and Jason, i'm not sure how the time lines would match up but the two likely would have heard about each other if nothing else. Both warriors with renowned stories, however different they may be. Just something for a connection later in the story when they meet really. Maybe Kael began his piracy near the same time Jason got bored of it, if you are going to accept a role in Adam's fleet that is.

Now this is what I like to see. The more communication we have pre-IC the more smoother things will go over. What I like to do in the past when I've GMed large scale travel/group RPs is to encourage people not to band up if the narrative doesn't call for it. If two-three-or four characters meet up and don't have a plot reason to stay together, there's no reason for them to not go their separate ways only to hopefully meet up again later on down the road. The key words here are: "Character Progression"


And it's always fun to have two or three, sometimes four different groups doing different things at the beginning, only to come together as a whole in the end (maybe even on opposing sides).

Finished my T'Odis character @KingAdrock ! I took some liberties with the lore in his history, let me know if I need to change anything. I have an idea of a new religion to play a part in his story, not sure how you feel about that. Also not sure if he'll be in the first arc of the RP, I think I might introduce him later on.

She is also very selfless and modest, as she puts herself at colossal personal risks to help fellow comrades,Rather sceptical about her ideals. She is very sarcastic and has an erratic sense of humour. She is also very religious knowing every scripture and prayer from the holy book of Azae.





Though she shows selfless personality traits she is still manipulative, devious, enigmatic, and clever. Sera can be ruthless, cold and fierce at times but showed emotional intelligence towards the likes of certain people.On certain occasions, if A person seems worthy she would flirt with them out of boredom but would never want to go far with their relationship.

BACKGROUND

Seraphina was born on a cold winter night, Crying like a Banshee as a typical newborn would.Her mother holding her firmly in her arms with a gleaming smile, her father nowhere to be found. She was born into the noble family of Aeritheos which was well known for their breeding of desired horses and warriors. When she was young she would ask about her father and his whereabouts only to find out that he is Normisdae combatant with untrimmed hair. After many years of wondering why he never returned her mother only replied with a simple question. "Why would a man stay to be rules by a woman, if he could control them elsewhere?". That was one of the few times she saw her mother. Though they stayed under the same mansion, she was raised primary by servants, having rare encounters with her mother for training purposes only. Conditioning since she was old enough to stand on her own, she was prepared to be along with 12 other girls of an honorable lineage selected by the high priestess at the age of 7.




Though her training was relentless, she managed to complete it at the top of her class, receiving as a reward her mother's love that she gained when she earned it. She served the queen without questions even making her an idol. That soon ended when a Normisdae woman appeared at the gates named Miranda.


Miranda soon became favorable by the queen,postioned as her personal advisor. Making her Knights and shield maiden no longer needed. She soon feel into insanity visioning herself as a prophet after executing the priestess that 'defied' her. Sera could only watch as Roadalia fell into Chaos, as the wall were built and the executions elevated. She found herself calming weekly riots and being people forth on the charge of treason.


Sif began to question her allegiance and the people that she served, keeping her opinions buried within her. She continued to follow her duties and stay optimistic but how long would it take for her to break?

Oh man, just spent several more hours on the timeline. So close to being finished! definitely in the last few decades now as I'm on the birth of Indoria. Once I'm finished I will go back and re read it to make sure there no inconsistencies (point em out if ya sees em'!) and over time I will probably add more and more events. If you have idea or want me to add something to the timeline let me know! its ready for browsing!


If I haven't been getting back to anyone right away it's because I've been focused like a cocaine fox on this timeline. once it's prim, proper, and finished, I wont have much more to do before I begin the IC.

I dunno if other people feel like I do but I feel like the IC history (especially when written by a character instead of "word of god") having small errors just adds to the "realism" of the world. How many times did we have to change our own history books? Kinda what I'm getting at here

yeah i agree with Lakita. It's almost like... the Kildrans are full of themselves... and recorded all their history without any regard to other cultures...

Although the Kildrans are easily described as being full of themselves, their Timeline mostly includes information about them because they had very little contact with T'Odis before they opened up trade, and pretty much zero contact with Parshum until their ships showed up at Yensa. What little important events they know about have been recorded and noted.

I meant that like I would post her history from her POV, and describe how she leaves T'Odis looking for a cure. That way I can start in the same place as everyone else and not have to waste like 1-3 posts just detailing how she leaves.

But I'll try and shoot up a CS for my Shield Maiden here today. Surely I don't need one for Queen Dasa eh? We all know she's a Holy Death Machine with a crazy, fanatical mind.
Also could my Shield Maiden chara be the one the Queen is grooming for the next Heir in Roadlia? Dasa is 50 now and would probably be looking to start that process over 10years ago when she were sane (making my Shield Maiden 25 or so?)

Gayana was about 50 before. She is now about 60 to fit the timeline (not much of a difference there though)


Remember, I am still new here! I'm still learning the ropes. This whole "Tabbing" business is brand new to me. I've never seen it used before at any of the forums I've been a member at so I'm still figuring it out. I have not seen any Interest check threads with tabs yet. I was assuming I would make one with the IC thread (you have to sort of "Apply" for it, correct?). Any and all lore for this RP will always be edited into the third post of this thread if that helps at all. My plan is to put all that information into the lore tab of IC. I still consider this RP open and accepting thus an Interest Check (Would love to see @Lord Zanicus join us tomorrow). I will probably close it and begin IC by mid-end of this week coming up. Does that sound right? If I'm doing things wrong/confusing way, please don't be afraid to let me know.


No CS is needed for Queen Gayana. All pertinent information for her is under her character spoiler, under the Queendom of Roadalia header. And YES! I was hoping that would be your plan, for her to be next in line to rule. It would create an interesting dynamic between your, @LeSoraAmari character, and @Robyn Banks character. They need to figure out what to do about Queen Gayana, and the strange Nomasdae woman named Miranda who showed up in Ashah 9 months ago, and has been influencing the Queen to become even more violent and fanatical, feeding into her delusions .
