Ancient Chinese Warlord Batman
King Aegon IV
King Viserys' legacy was no doubt wasted in his heir. Aegon the Fourth, a lecherous bastard of all things 'virtuous' the Targaryens were in possession of. They say that the gods flipped a coin every time another Targaryen was born, and Aegon was not any exception. Well, that is, his coin landed on the opposite side any normal man would want it to land. Aegon was plump, and dull. Though in his earlier life he sought to impress, and did do exactly that at any stylish banquet or grand hunt. This was far from what he was now, his prime had passed. Aegon's impulsive acts were his downfall, he fell to gluttony, and lust, and those sins only emboldened his rash style. The realm was certainly suspicious of Aegon for poisoning his father, and fathering multiple bastards who he'd claimed not his. The realm would also come to know a horrible rule under Aegon. It was clear that Aegon had not been a good leader. The old man that he was now knew no constraint. He legitimized almost all of his known bastards, and gave the Targaryen Valyrian Steel sword to not his legitimate heir, but another bastard. Daemon "Blackfyre". This would most likely cause more than just a little bit of trouble, but was the entirety of Westeros really about to let this happen? The day of the knighting would be a fortnight from today, and few agree with Aegon's ideals. "Why give a sword to a man not fit to use it?".
"Melissa.. Melissa.." - Overheard in a brothel room.
Aegor Rivers, Great Bastard
Aegor was ambitious, dangerously so. He wasn't so much as daring as the charming fourteen year old Daemon, but he'd beaten him in duels, and outclassed him in chess. Aegon IV had several mistresses, and Aegor was the result of one. A long story of dispute, and Aegon IV abandoning Aegor's mother lead to him being raised in the Riverlands. This was one of the only times he would ever be exposed to the beauty of Kings Landing, the capital of Westeros and its Seven Kingdoms. Daemon's knighting was a minor mental wound for Aegor, and he'd go on to be named Bittersteel. Multiple times, Aegor would also try to court Shiera Seastar, to no effect. The name Bittersteel was fitting, after Aegor's multiple misfortunes and troubles. But he had power that no one else would expect him to carry, it being the seed of doubt. Aegor knew the rumors of Daeron II to be a bastard, and as Daemon was legitimized, it'd make him the rightful heir of the Seven Kingdoms if Daeron was a bastard. Of course, not all of the realm would believe this, but it was the way to carve out power for Bittersteel's own desires. He'd wait for the perfect time to plant the seed of doubt into the realm, and his older half-brother would become king, with Bittersteel becoming regent. There was always one pain, one obstacle from Aegor reaching this. It was another one of his half-brothers, Bryden "Bloodraven" Waters. They both desired the same Shiera, and both wanted the same power. Bittersteel would not let this stand. An intricate plan was set in place, and Bittersteel spent every night before the wedding in planning, for the perfect time to strike. The Red Stallion of House Bracken, and the Deep Black Dragon Wings of the new House Blackfyre, the house name that Daemon took.
"Fuck off!" - Bittersteel to Bloodraven
Daeron II
Daeron I was a warrior. A conqueror, and he'd vowed to succeed where Aegon the Conqueror hadn't. He'd ride to Dorne with two thousand score men, losing a quarter of them. Daeron I then sent fifty thousand to hold Dorne, and they'd all perish under guerrilla warfare. It was a failure of a conquest, a conquest Daeron II proved to be inefficient and shabby. The new Daeron was by no means as a warrior as the first was, but he was a much better king, and a much better ruler. Or, he would've been, if not all of his rule been disrupted by the Blackfyres. Daeron was humble and erudite, just and kind. It earned him the name "The Good", and frankly, he deserved it. However, Daeron's claim was not the strongest that's ever been as the result of the rumors about his adulterous heritage. Even though, Daeron still proved to be a good leader when Aegon needed a regent. As a child Daeron would continue to be educated in court, at the while ruling from regency.
"Heir pisses me off, 'excuses' all my wenches!" - Overheard from above Aegon IV's chambers.
Who are you? Will you start the Blackfyre Rebellion? End it in gritty politics before it emerges through the destruction of Aegon IV's lecherous ways? Daeron won the first time, but it can be changed. Westeros' fate, lies completely in your hands.
Welcome to the game, where you either win or die. For those of you who do not know, this roleplay will be covering the Blackfyre rebellion, way before the events of Game of Thrones! Daeron Targaryen won the war against the forces led by the legitimized bastard Daemon Blackfyre, but this might not be the outcome of this roleplay! I expect the conflicts of the Blackfyre rebellion, to only be the beginning. So join us at the table! Let's see where you go.
