Personality/History:
Nina was born in the Foggy Swamps and is the daughter of the chief. Growing up she lived a pretty happy life she was energetic and a hard working girl who was always practicing her bending. Her mother mostly taught Nina everything she knows. The tribe was very close, they were like one big family. Her father was very big on teaching her this and about staying away from the outside world. "Remember this Nina the tribe always come first. Everything we do is to protect the tribe our family. You must never leave this swamp. The outside world is a dangerous place and you can't trust anybody." Even though she was told this about a million times Nina couldn't help but be curious. All she had ever known was the swamp. She wanted to know what else was out there but she didn't want to disappoint her father. Besides, one day she would be in charge of the tribe, though she never really had the interest to. Nina could be a stubborn girl, she would be determined to do things her way or not listen. Sometimes she would end up right and other times she would be really reckless and up in trouble. Part of the reason why she was reckless was because she had a curious nature and sometimes she just couldn't fight it.

The Foggy Swamps wasn't a usual place people would enter but their were times where strangers would pass through. The tribe usually just kept hidden and stayed quiet whenever a stranger did happen to pass through. Because of this is it was unknown to anyone that people actually lived there. There were times Nina would want to show herself and talk to the strangers but she was good and never made herself known. That was until one day Nina saw a man, who was badly injured came into the forest. He seemed to be bleeding and was in terrible condition. She wanted to help him but the others told her told leave him. Nina thought that was much to cruel. She knew the rule was to keep their identity safe but to let a man was in serious condition just lie there and slowly die it wasn't right. Not being able to ignore it she made herself known and appeared before the man. Come to find out the man was a fire bender and a hurt solider. She helped healed him and started to become friends with him. Her father was furious at what she did and told her to stop seeing him and to make him leave but of course she didn't.

Soon enough she started to fall for him and it seemed like he was falling for her to. Nina felt like she was on cloud nine she was so happy. But of course that happiness wouldn't last. The fire bender told Nina how he wanted to stay with her and her tribe and wondered if he could meet them and the chief. Nina of course was happy about this and she ended up telling him where the tribe was and that she would talk to her father first before she brought him. Nina ended up fallen asleep with him but the next day when she woke up he was gone. She looked around and didn't see him anywhere and she assumed he went to find food for himself. So she went on back home when she got there though she couldn't believe what she saw. She stood there in shock and confused. The place had been completely burned to the ground and except for a few dead bodies everyone was gone. Her eyes then noticed him, the fire bender. She stared at him and asked him who had done this. Without looking at her he said the fire bender soldiers had done it. But why? Why would these people attack her tribe and take them? How did they even know where they were? Then it hit her. He was the one that told them and then they attack. She tried to get him to answer why but he just stayed silent. Tears started streaming down her face and she watched as he walked away. Then suddenly she yelled out. "I swear if I ever see you again I'll kill you!! You hear me?!" He stop for a moment. He looked like he was going to turn around but he started walking again and disappeared into the fog. Nina went around desperately trying to find survivors. But sadly there was none that is until she found her father breathing slowly laying on the ground. She ran to him and bent down crying saying she was sorry. He looked at her and gave her sad smile. Her father died but before he did he tried to console her saying not to blame herself and that it wasn't her fault but it didn't help. ina was now totally alone. There was nobody left. Her once energetic and happy self was now gone, full of anger and self hate. Her eyes had become lifeless. Never would she leave the forest and never again would she ever trust anyone especially fire bender. If she ever saw one again. She would kill on sight.

The swamps now are said to be haunted with ghost and monsters and anyone that goes in can never fully cross through cause they usually run scared for their life. They would never guess it was just a single girl controlling the swamp and making it come to life.​

• Personality: Initial impressions of Mari is of a wild, crazy woman. She jumps into the fray with seemingly no thought and a war cry. What people tend to notice after that is that she survives from those fights. A brilliant opportunist and improvised tactician, Mari knows how to manipulate a battle to her liking. She'll use theatrics and over the top actions to skew or distract her opponents perception of her true goal. She is stubborn and loyal. Behind all this is a side many don't get to see. After the loss of her parents and many friends, Mari is scared to get too attached to people for fear of losing them. She keeps everybody at arms length, using humor to mask some of her insecurities and brush off attempts to know her better.
• History (This will serve as a sort of writing sample. Don't stress it too much.): Mari was the result of a lonely Southern Water Tribe warrior falling for a rebel Earth Bender. Though unexpected, both parents welcomed the new life and resolved to raise her in the manner of both their cultures. Mari spent much of her young life on the move, spending time in the Earth Kingdom and the Southern Water Tribe. Things changed when she was discovered to be an Earth Bender. Spending more time with her mother for training purposes, she grew to cherish the times with her father, especially when they would go sailing together. With the threat of the fire nation looming ever closer, Mari was forced into combat early. The death of her mother hit her heard, but strengthened her resolve. She sought out and received training from other Earth Bending Masters, forging herself into a weapon against the Fire Nation. For the past few years, she has fought a guerrilla war inside Fire Nation controlled lands, gaining a reputation as an unpredictable saboteur. The recent death of her father has caused her to question whether what she does is enough.

Personality: She carries herself as one would expect from loyalty: calm, taciturn and confident never showing much emotion which can come of as arrogant and aloof. Indeed she us slow to trust but when she does a different side to her appears, her calm and quite demeanor hides a humorous, fun loving , jovial even miniature side. Not above pranks or getting dirty. However recent events, have left her little and smile about, feeling response for the events of the northern water tribe and helpless to change them have left her depressed and confidence shaken. She is not one to give up easily though and knows her duty to her people and those close to her, given the chances she is determined not do fail though unsure how to do it.
History: Takkani was born the only child of the chief of the Northern Water Tribe. She was a sickly baby who, despite the best efforts of the healers of the northern water tribe, was thought would not live to her first year. In desperation at what seemed to be Takkani's last moment, her parents took her to the Spirit Oasis and prayed to the two spirits to preserve their daughter. The spirits listened, the moon spirit giving part of herself to heal the babe and leaving Takkani with pure white hair.

She grew up to be the pride of her parents, intelligent, caring and strong if a little wilful and immature. She was found to be water bender at a young age but as per custom and despite her wishes only trained in healing. Often though she would often sneak from palace and watch the boys train with the master water bending instructor and imitate their movements. In one such outing she ran into one of the student, Taku, a young son from a minor nobler family. The two became close friends and as they matured became a couple in secret.

Soon though she came of marrying age and question were made of who work be her betrothed. After long arguments with her parents regarding arranged marriage, she was given the unheard of ability of choosing her own betrothed but from a select set of suitors. In the selection was Taku and so the decision for her was clear. However one of the suitors was a member of a powerful families and was the original favourite for her hand, neither he nor his family appreciated the loss of their bid for the chiefdom. The son decided to take the crown by means outside custom and law. With his family s influence and funding and arms from the fire nation, lead a coup to take over the tribe.

The coup succeeded, killing Takkani's family and her betrothed with Takkani barely managing to survive thanks to the quick thinking and sacrifice of her father. She managed to get a ship to the earth kingdom, during the journey Takanni would see Fire nation ship move towards the capital of the north. Takkani had little in terms of supplies and exiled in a strange land. She happened upon a wondering performing troop who took her in and helped her. Seeing few options she joined them becoming a dancer and singer, sometimes a healer, under the alias Susi.

Name: Akihi-to "Hi-to"

When firebending she ties her hair into a puff/ponytail in the back, otherwise she wears it down most of the time. She is slightly muscular from her firebending training but from her lack of motivation and missed lessons she's not as buff as she would be. She tries to wear light clothing she can move around easily in but still wears clothing that fits her Fire Nation attire, she often has a cloth wrapped around her wrists.​

Personality:
Akihi-to is a very carefree rebellious girl. She is very stubborn and determined to do things her way, even is she's not always right. Akihi-to tries to make the best out of every situation no matter how terrible it may be. She tries her best to make people smile and have a good time. Akihi-to is pretty reserved and doesn't often trust people. If she does open up to you she becomes like a friend, mother, and sibling, all wrapped up into one. When she's scared she tends to make a lot of jokes or light of the situation. She's pretty smart and can handle herself but sometimes needs someone to have her back. Akihi-to is a very kind and caring person but if you mess with her or her friends she will not just sit there and watch.

History:
Akihi-to almost from birth had her entire life planned out. Her family was wealthy and influential in society, born into nobility Akihi-to was to go to the Royal Fire Academy for Girls she refused though, saying the girls were too "stuck up" and she felt that she didn't fit in. Even though being strict her parents obliged this request and got her a private tutor and firebending instructor. Her parents wanted her to propel her family as close to the Royal Family as she could, whether it be working with or for them, either way, their family would be propelled even higher in society and that was all they cared about.
However, she had other plans, Akihi-to wanted to travel the world, to meet different cultures and benders. She didn't know how people would feel about her, especially being a firebender and her nation not being the most favorited. Akihi-to wanted to hide her bending at first after her first encounter with other benders, they were cruel towards her, calling her names such as, "murderer" and "nation burner". She felt ashamed of her abilities but instead of hiding it or pushing them away, she looked for ways they could be used for good and useful purposes and not harm. She did not find much and she didn't dare ask her family, she tried the library but they just had ways to learn firebending. So Akihi-to decided she would indeed try to excel in firebending and fine her own purpose in using her skills. As soon as she turned old enough to take care of herself she would leave, not leaving any traces behind.​
