"Master Chen! Officer Shoza wants to see you." a young secretary said as soon as Changyu entered the office. "Thank you, Ms Mushong. I'll be sure to be there in a moment." He wondered what Shoza found out that was so important that he had to tell him in person instead of through the usual channels. Best not keep him waiting. The way they were meeting made him on edge, this was highly unusual for him to risk breaking his cover with the Triple Threat Triad. Changyu entered his office where he found Officer Shoza waiting for him. "Master Chen, it's so good to see you. I wouldn't come to you if it wasn't super big. This is bigger than anything I ever thought, it's a huge conspiracy. It goes deep, I can't trust anyone else with this, I don't know who else might be working with the Black Lotus." "The Black Lotus you say? Who might they be?" "Well, I don't know that much to be honest, but here is what I do know, they are a secret society of some sort, and they've got connections with quite a few powerful people and organizations, the Triads, the Government, the Equalists, the Police, and more. Like I said, the conspiracy runs deep." "Do you know what they are trying to do?" Shoza shook his head "No, but whatever it is, it's not good. I had to come to you before I found out because I couldn't risk being caught. The Triple Threat and the Black Lotus alike were getting suspicious of me. Do you think that you could let me lay low for a while? And just promise me that you'll look into these guys." "Don't worry Shoza you did well. Take a vacation, I'll handle the investigation from here."

Despite the fact that the pair's conversation was none of his business, Itsuki stuck around a bit longer than he actually needed. He didn't say anything for the few extra moments that he stood at the table, having glanced between the pair before turning heel to head back to his father. Itsuki was known for silently being incapable of minding his own business. Not that it mattered as it appeared it didn't matter to them.

Now, despite having gone back to the counter where his father was, Itsuki's ears were perked to continue listening in on the conversation about tea. With a sigh, he walked around the counter to help his father with heating the tea kettle. "I always wonder how you don't get lonely here. I stay for a few hours, leave, and you're alone. Even if these people hang around all day." The brunet noted, leaning against the counter beside the stove with a flame coming from the tip of his pointer finger. It seemed Itsuki may not have been one to notice or care about how lonely his father likely was during the days but he was. He paid attention more than probably expected or even needed of him.

Minding his business definitely wasn't anything that Itsuki ws good at.

Nonetheless, he awaited his father's answer just as three knocks came at the back door. Itsuki's gaze flickered to the door, then right back to his father who simply had a kind smile on his face. "Get the delivery, Itsuki. This conversation can be held another time."

Of course it could. But Itsuki would prefer to have it held that instant before one of them forgot to bring it up. Itsuki would try not to but he never did have the greatest memory of all time. Either way, he gave his father a nod and went to the back door to hold it open. Porcelain deliveries were normal. Which was how he knew the three knocks belonged to that of Tao. The girl who made the deliveries. "Morning." Itsuki greeted, a bit of a forced smile on his lips as he held his hand out for the package.

Palle might be many things but afraid was not one of them she didn't fear other benders or if they were after her she would take them down. Palle was not going to let another go into a fight that Apprently was hers and for all she knew Jade was just a normal woman a cute one but normal at best she was an earth bender against several men this was no fair fight. While a smart thing to do might be to run and get cops Palle still had the idea of personal justice over societal justice in her mind. This was her fight she would not let jade suffer for it.

The men were using metal weapons, swords which were just like mini lightning rods except they were grounded in human flesh. This was s fight Palle could win as they had no idea they were giving her a serious advantage. Palle would not run she couldn't and this would be to fun. She quickly got up from her chair and turned moving towards the soon to happen fight she raised both hands and unleashed her lightning which attached to metal would go for an jump between the swords likely paralyzing a few of the men but leaving the strong or lucky ones stand bit in a lot of pain.

"I don't let other fight my battles" she said her tone confidant she was sure she could take them.

Jade watched as the men closed in on her and for a split second she prepared herself to fight back but stopped dropping her stance in realization that if she fought back now then this life she had created would all crumble away.
The Drake smiled knowing that she had lost the will to fight.
This dancer would be his easiest prey yet.
That was until lightning erupted throughout the corridor striking all the men around him. The only reason the man stood unaffected being that the lightning rods that the blades acted as diverted the strike away from him.
Jade looked back to see who caused the lightning and noticed Palle moving between her and them.
"....Thank you..and be careful"
Was all she managed taking in the tone of a damsel in distress.
Palle would have to end this quickly before police began to arrive as the commotion of lightning strikes resounding throughout the bust downtown area was sure to bring them running.

" You could run, i do want to try for a moving target" Palle said as she got close the lightning crackling between her metal clad fingers a rather large smile on her face, she hadn't expected it to get all but one that had been better than anything she had hopped and just made her so pleased. Palle didn't know what kind of bender the man was but given the black and red he dressed in she guessed fire bender, that made things even better fire and air had no way to stop her lightning like water or earth might.

Drake of course was rather surprised given his men had just been taken out in one go and likely was glad he hadn't been wielding his sword. Still someone that controlled something that only the greatest of fire benders could was not something he was likely really ready for not having believed some drunk rambling from his underlings about a tattooed girl shooting lightning. Still there was no way someone like him would run or think he could lose in this situation he was a skilled member of the triad and this was just a girl there had to be a trick to her.

Palle moved between jade and this man her hands emitting small but harmless arcs of lightning. " Not running good" Palle said as she brought her hand up for another blast of lightning having to keep it somewhat controlled because Jade was here. Still before she could get of this shot fire came at her and she quickly dodged and retaliated a second latter with her lightning, soon an odd bender duel would start between fire and lightning, eating up time and causing one hell of a scene.

The drake of Ling Wu parried a further lightning strike deftly ducking before springing high into the air as he inhaled deeply and while mid side spin launched several fireballs from his mouth towards Palle and Jade.
The dancer fell backwards dirtying her dress but nonetheless alright.
The firebender landed taking a arcing wide stance before kicking forward a few times and finishing with a fist each producing hot infernos blasts as he ensured to keep his distance from the mechanical wielding lightning bender.
He made a tsk noise by clicking his tongue at the roof of his mouth before spitting on the ground. A sign of disrespect.
"Is this all you have girl, why don't you take your parlor tricks home and let me fight the one im really here for"
Jades eyes went wide at the words of the man as he readied himself to face Palle once more.
He had been sent for her? Not Palle?
How had they found out about her cover? And who exactly was trying to off her?
She had not broken any of the tenets as far as she was concerned and there was no indication that she was being targeted.
So why was the triad sending a contractor after one of their own?
In this moment it did not matter, she would continue to feign innocence as she could tell more than The Drake of Ling Wu that Palle was more than capable of taking him down.
The firebender began another onslaught of bursts and fire balls and Jade calmbered against a stack of crates containing alcohol.
The idea struck her and she pulled the crates over smashing them against the alley way as liquid began to flow against the cobbled stone.

To many what drake said might have made them suspect that jade was not telling her something that there was some higher reason for this, but to Palle from what little she knew this was an insult and an attack on an innocent woman Drake wanting to fight a seemingly none bender over her was and insult and what he called her lightning hands was a far greater insult there was no way she could stop fighting him simply out of pride. In truth Palle had several ways of taking him down he didn't realize she didn't have to move as much as he did and her lightning worked point blank his fire would burn him as much as it did her if he tried it close. She also had only been using what could be called half her skills in this as she wanted to use her invention not her bending right now , well she could combine it though that wasn't as much fun.

" I guess i'll be serious" Palle said honestly which might insult drake that she had not been fighting seriously he was fighting likely to kill but she was just testing her toy.

Still Drake would soon learn why a waterbender with the power of lightning was a bad thing as she brought the water around her hands and formed thin ropes, they wouldn't actually knock anyone around or hurt them, but that wasn't why she made them. instead she would whip at Drake missing a few times and even forming one into a shield from the fire blasts until at last she managed to get around his midsection. The water soaked into his clothes and got onto his skin only then would the fire bender realize what palle was doing, then he felt the great full shock run through his body carried from Palle's hand to his body via the water whip. The shock would be enough to knock him out but likely this fight meant the cops had time to arrive.

"Master Chen! The Triad Strip Club has erupted into violence!" Changyu almost shook his tea at the sheer shock of the news. He took a small sip of his tea to calm himself down. "Yes. I'll be right over." "You mean, personally?" "Why yes. I believe that it deserves my full attention, now please ready a squad. Tell them to catch up." Changyu got into the Supercharged Satomobile that served as his personal vehicle, and triggered the police sirens. He had his mechanic keep it in top condition and top performance. He was at the Strip Club in moments. He knocked the door down with a kick. "You are all under arrest, I would say do not resist, however I do not think you will comply. Nevertheless I will give you time to stand down." Chen was surprised when the waterbender wearing strange electric gloves did not take the opportunity to attack or flee.

Palle might not have taken the time to run but well the other patrons had, most had been to shocked to actually attack when Palle had taken out so many in such a short time not to mention taking down drake. Still the cop showing up had brought them back to their senses and his announcement pushed them into action as even the innocent patrons that were just here for a good time and nothing illegal panicked at having something like an arrest on their record.

" COPS EVERYONE RUN" Someone shouted and a stampeded shouted as people screamed and any and all exists soon had people rushing towards them, one man could never handle the great number of people that would be trying to get out the second he decided everyone was under arrest. Still the triad members would rise up and of course push back against the lone law man coming into their shop and trying to arrest them.

" i'm not the bad guy they are" Palle said as chaos erupted " i just saved Jade" She continued them a bit of floor sailed over head, they had earth benders.

Inuii sighed in relief as the last enemy fell before Palle more so the fact that she herself did not have to resort to fighting.
She turned to thank Palle but then the real commotion started. The cops flooded in arresting people left and right, dancers ran or hid. Triad members tried to fight back but were quickly detained by the police force.
Changyu the inspector from this morning now stood before the pair and Jade had a choice..either run or submit. Neither was a great option but seeing as she could play the victim here submitting was the easier route.
"Inspector...She was only rescuing me from the evil tendencies of cruel men. Please we will come quietly, isnt that right Palle?"
Inuii gestured to the female beside her even giving her a comforting nudge to show it would be okay.

"Well now, I did not expect to see you here, I do wish that you had confided in me about your predicament Jade, or that I had been able to see that you were in such a situation. My apologies for not coming to your assistance earlier. I was waiting for an opportune moment. Nevertheless, the both of you will be in good hands at the local precinct. Meanwhile, I have some degenerates to apprehend." Changyu swiftly ran after the fleeing criminals, overtaking the vast majority of them and disabling most with a single thrust or series of jabs. Some tried to fight back with panicked bending but they too were quickly dispatched. Chief Inspector Chen was severely disappointed in the quality of the catch, nary one of them put up even a semblance of resistance and there were few members that had any substantial worth to the triad. The vast majority of the ones he caught were street-level thugs. Which meant that either all of the high ranking Triad members had successfully escaped, or were already gone by the time he mounted a strike. Changyu ordered a search of the entire strip club, perhaps there was a secret escape route that the police had simply missed. If there wasn't, they had much bigger problems.

Palle didn't fully get why she or jade had to come to the station neither of them had done anything wrong. Though as it seemed the inspector knew jade and Palle trusted jade she figured it would be fine. She also didn't want to leave jade alone right now after all some other bad guys might come after her.

"I'll go though only to make sure jade is okay and the professors said to do as cops said" she explained sounding not at all pleased but not hostile about it.

Inuii simply gave the police officer a small nod accompanied with "Thank you for our hard work"
She then heard Palle's words and to that placed a gentle hand upon her arm rubbing it slightly before bringing her hand back.
"It's alright it will just be a formality...and thank you again"
she expressed sincerely but inside her mind her thoughts were clouded with doubt.
So...he had noticed her just as she had him.
She wondered if he deducted anything or if he was all action and without any actual clue to her true identity.
Still now that she was being herded to the proverbial wolves den and she was nothing more than a sheep but in fact she was also a wolf...only in sheeps clothing.
Inuii allowed the other men to escort them to the station but she never strayed too far from Palle's side even brushing against her a few times to ensure she was still present not wanting to drop the innocent victim facade just yet.

Palle would comply even if she didn't see the point though she did realize one thing that might be an issue. These people they must know where Jade lived she worked for them or likely they enslaved her so she must have no where else to go. There was only one good solution to this and that was to give her a place.

"You know these people know where you live they might cone after you so you should stay with me" she explained as they were escorted to the station.
