It might be me but I don't see a difference. If this is the update, bravo it looks nice and I'm not distracted by it at all and I actually think it looks very neat. That should be it.

You should see it on a computer though :D

Nice touch-up! I'm into both form and function and see nothing wrong with the change on computer or mobile. The bigger avatars look pretty, while the text in post is still able to be seen, like usual. It was a shock on mobile because of the different proportions, but you can still read what's posted, even without zooming in (my case at least).

There's nothing functionally wrong with the update, it's just not familiar aesthetically, to users who have become used to looking at what we had before. So, this update is welcome :5/5:. Good for ya'll, staff!

I am so glad this is optional.I already have a hard enough time telling how much I'm typing on mobile and the gigantic avatar on the left of the text box makes the box itself even smaller and dang is it distracting.Even in scrolling,I find it very annoying.I love the small avatars because they're there, but I can ignore them (especially on the more...questionable ones, haha) if I need to.It's impossible to ignore these huge ones and, frankly,I feel it looks silly.Avatars are supposed to be small little boxes IMO,haha!

Thanks for still giving us the option to keep with the small avatars!*Never* remove it,haha!

I'll make sure to make it so that avatars are tiny on mobile, for the most part they are still tiny.

I approve of the large avatars but won't mind if they don't stay. The old ones were big enough *woof*

Give it some time and see what happens.

You can switch back into them.

Yeah. There's Still Functional, and then there's Useful, which avatars barely are except as a tiny tag to let me know who made a given post.

So okay, they're really important to the million teenagers we imported when we started hosting RpN. Cool. Personal taste. Just so long as the opt-out remains.

I really like this feature as well as the freedom aspect of switching back and forth. Personally, I'm fine with both versions, though I find the newer (bigger) Avatars to be more visually pleasing... as I am a more visual person.

I also enjoy the fact that the dimension size of the Avatar photo (ex. 300 x 500, and so on) isn't limited to just a standard sized square. For instance, The Dark Wizard's Avatar isn't a square, it's a rectangle, whereas mine is still a square.

So we get somewhat free-form Avatars and optional sizes! All in all a nice update ^w^ Thank you @The Dark Wizard and anyone else who helped develop this feature!

[QUOTE="Matsuo Risa]Now people can see detailed pictures better! :)

Exactly ^w^ (Yaaaay visuals~~~~)

I, too, like that details are easier to see now :D

Aw, man, this is sorta.. Space-taking.

Also, I miss RpN 2.0, where I could do this:

Now, it just looks... Bland.
