News Avatar Changes

[The Dark Wizard]

Hey all, due to feedback we have tweaked the Avatar size.


However we were going to leave it to a site poll in the development zone which was briefly opened up for users to poll.


However we have discovered how to do both.


You can switch back to regular sized avatars at the bottom by switching to the RpN 3.0 style with regular avatars. (This style might not exist forever).

I don't really like the huge avatars. They take a lot of excessive space even when there's little text. I'll be using the old one and can only hope the huge avatars won't take over.

Doesn't seem too distracting from the text and you can always make them smaller.


Way too many people are happy about this larger avatar change.

I ran into the issue on my Surface (Windows) where, because of the avatar sizes, any LONG text doesn't wrap ... and I have to scroll to read it >___<

Always? You just mentioned that version wouldn't stay there for long so I and probably some other people as well will have to simply get used to the larger pictures. Oh, well. I guess I'm just not into changes.

When I mean't it wouldn't stay forever I mean't that after a few years it might go away. Most likely not. That is just there in case anything happens so it doesn't catch anyone off guard.

Print screen and upload the file to RpN in a post.


Should be on your small keyboard or the digital one on the screen.

Yeah - I don't have a print screen button on the keyboard like normal keyboards. Buuuut I just switched back - might've been another glitch. They're roughly 1/6th of the screen, now.

Numbers are my weakness .


I'd need some sort of screenshot. Would really like to make sure its working for you and any one else using a surface.

Unfortunately, it's hard to get the actual idea with the screenshot, cause it's not really showing the scale of my screen xD But basically, it's livable - just... squished feeling?

Idk if you figured it out yet (and sorry if you did already and I'm just needlessly running my mouth), but if you hold down the windows icon on the Surface itself and then press down on the volume button, that should take a screenshot. *u*
