Alright, I have a mission trip starting tomorrow, until the 8th. Most likely wont be able to get on, but there is a tiny chance, no way to know until I get to our center. If I can, I will do my best to post in the evenings. If not, I'll be back next Saturday ^^'

Well, on this particular mission trip, Im headed down into the Appalachia Mountains, specifically Kentucky, to do home repair on houses for people who cant do/pay for it themselves. Its mostly doing floors, siding, roofing, retaining walls, wheelchair ramps, that kind of thing- the motto of the organization is "Making homes warmer, safer, and drier." We're not trying to turn them into dream homes, just make the lives of the people living there easier by doing the necessary repairs.


We also support the local economy by going out and getting ice cream at least three times during the week.


In general, mission trips are just groups of people going and doing something for people in need, like home repair or teaching kids. I dont know what you know about Christianity, but Im a Methodist, which is less pomp and circumstance in church and more service and fellowship oriented, so we do a lot of mission work. But I dont know if the term "mission trip" is a just church/Christianity thing, or if non-church groups also use the term for similar trips.

Wow thanks! Like really lol Honestly, its just a blast to go, even though its the work is hard, showers are cold, and the food is usually not great xD the people we work with and for are awesome, its usually the best week of my summer


Im totally gushing to you /.\ sorry, its one of my passions lol


Long story short, if you ever have a chance to go on any mission/service trip, I would 100000000% recommend it, theyre amazing experiences

The important thing is that you are telling people, and that is probably the most honorable thing that you could do. That is really como and i hope you have a great time on your missión trip @Flutterby

Sylvie sat down on a bench to eat her food, her eyes looking up while the fireworks went off. Then she heard Ren running around like an idiot and screaming her name. Sylvie let out a loud sigh and threw her trash away. She crossed her arms as well as her legs. She moved some of her green hair away from her face as she waited for him to find her because there was no way in Hell she was going to find him since he ditched her. When he found her he took her hands in his. Sylvie raised a brow and inhaled a sharp breath.
"What in the world is going on?" she asked softly, her head tilting to the side. When he started what seemed like a confession. She felt herself begin to blush all over, her hands shaking. Just as she felt her heart to melt, it quickly stopped. At the sound of him resembling her head to a potato, she lost it. Sylvie snatched her hands away, standing up and glaring down at him.


"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!?!" she yelled at him, raising her hand and smacking the side of his head. She turned her back to him and grabbed her toy, turning back one final time to glare at him. She turned back around marching away.


"And don't follow me!" she yelled back at him, causing people to look from her to him. "I have never been more embarrassed in my life." she mumbled to herself, her head shaking as she walked. Her heart was racing at both the thought of "almost" being confessed to and being embarrassed that her head apparently looked like a delicious potato. If her head looked like a potato, what did the rest of her look like? Maybe like a carrot? Or even a cucumber? Hmm, she looked more like a squash.


Sylvie shook her head at the ridiculous thoughts, rolling her eyes. It seemed that being around Ren for so long was starting to effect her.

You're lucky. A friend of mine calls her friend bread-face/pan(bread in spanish) because her face looks like bread.
