Shadow Cursed
Novala Cinder
Novala shook her head. "If you get cold, I'll just keep us warm. This area's going to be a wild party by the time I want to go again, so you'll probably want to dress a little bit in the fashion for partying in this world." The dragon smiled as her feet came to the ground and she set Celeste down. "Do you just want to meet up when the stars are out? Or would you prefer to spend some time together at the party? You don't have to, obviously. I know I'm being a little wild and carefree."

Nicolai Morozov
Nico was thankful that was how she took him saying he wasn't performing anymore. It was legitimate conclusion, although entirely wrong. However, it was her thoughtful process about what to tell him for the color that made him feel worse. She was being considerate and completely trying to decide on something from the way she chewed her lip. And the heartfelt response she gave made Nico feel more like shit. It had to be something other than white. She looks so forlorn over the fact of trying not to put me out. Nico smiled and put a hand on her shoulder. "I'm fine with just hanging out from time to time. Us artists can tend to find inspiration in one another. Who knows? Maybe you'll inspire my next favorite composition." He gave a light chuckle while stifling some of the pain he was still feeling inside. "But for now, I think I'm going to rest. I know I mentioned accompanying you to go....thrifting? But I'm now really just wanting some quiet time. How about we go out tomorrow and do that?"
With her answer acquired and her presence no longer in the room, Nico returned to his bed and the darkness befall him again. This time his mind swirled with a twist of thoughts and emotions other than anger and loneliness. She's nothing like what I expected of someone meeting their soulmate. So.....pure. So gentle. Her thoughts never seemed to be about herself, but rather my comfort. How does someone like that exist? Nico paused before mumbling to himself. "You were like that once too Nico. Then she came and ruined it. For years now, you've wallowed like this." He leaned his head against the wall as he began to hum the piece he'd shown Hazel minutes earlier. "Maybe just try to have fun tomorrow and not get so bogged down in yourself." Those words were the last before the tired boy slipped off to sleep.
