Little Lady
the cookAdriel SteeleAdriel sat in his room, boredly throwing some of those sticky ball things up at the ceiling while he waited for his friends. Erik had gotten himself trapped into helping freshies, and he had no idea where Neyo was as of yet, and he also had no interest of following his thread so...throwing balls at the ceiling and waiting for them to fall was his plan. He had already unpacked everything, so he couldn't do that, and he had already been on his phone and caught up on the social media. He could go make something...a good grilled cheese did sound good but...conversing with the new roommate whenever they showed up didn't seem like something Adriel really wanted to do. So...he stuck to his original plan while waiting for his friends.

the nekoAkira HayesAkira was practically bouncing in her seat as their car pulled into a stop in front of her soon to be new home. She let out an excited, but quieter, yell as she quickly unbuckled and threw the door open. "Oh my god we're actually here!!" she giggled excitedly. She had barely been able to sit still and stay quiet the entire ride here, only stopped when her youngest brother-Austin-had grown tired and falling asleep. Even then, she had been nonstop texting her friends about her excitement. If there was death by spamming messages, they would've been dead hours ago. She helped her brother out, giving him a tight squeeze as he looked around excited at all of the new things. "You're sure you have everything?" her mother asked her worriedly. Akira laughed and kissed her cheek, "Yes mom, you went through my bags like 6 times before we had left. I have my pc, I have my school bag, I have my clothes, I have my decorations, I have my clothes we wore during the roadtrip, I have everything, I swear!" "Aki! Your charger!" Austin bounded up towards his sister with smile as he handed her the charging cord. Akira let out a sheepish smile as her mother had a mixed look of worried and slightly irked. "Now I have everything!!" she tried to joke, letting out an awkward laugh. She hugged her family good-bye again, even if she was a teeny bit jealous that they'd all get to go on another roadtrip back home. With a bright wave she quickly went to the entrance of the dorm building she knew she was at, got her keys, and went up to her room. None of her roommates were here yet, but she didn't mind! Then she could get hers all set up and be able to help them out if they needed it!!

the bratty princessAnastasia KnightStasia sighed as she listened to Axiom go on and on and ON about how to be safe and look out and be careful. “I get it,” she whined, “We’ve had this conversation soooo many times!! ‘What are you wearing?’ ‘Don’t trust people too quickly’ ‘Don’t go all goo-goo if you get a soulmate,” she mimicked him, “What im wearing is called fashion Axiom, and it’s not bad!” she had a coat on covering what she knew Axiom would throw a fit over, “And I can’t believe you said if!!” she pouted. Before Axiom had time to retort, their mom came out saying it was time to go. Even with their bickering, she gave Axiom a tight hug, which he protectively returned. He had convinced his mom to let him stay, but letting his sister go was going to be hard, “I’m going to be late,” she laughed. They finished up their goodbyes before bringing her towards the portal thing she’d go through to be at Horizon’s. One last wave to her family, she stepped through and was kind of shocked a to what was on the other side. It was…way different. All these students running around, some people were flat out making out! She immediately looked down at her hand, a pout forming as there was no thread, “How annoying,” she huffed and took off her coat so she’d be more comfortable. Luckily, they had gotten her bags sent over earlier, but she didn’t exactly feel like carrying her coat around, and also didn’t want to go to her dorm to drop it off when she needed to get to orientation. Instead she went to someone who looked like it was their job to help move stuff into different rooms, she made sure to put on her flirtiest smile and bat her eyelashes for extra affect, “Hi! I’m running a bit late, and I don’t have time to run back to my dorm to drop off my coat. Would it be too much to ask if you cold do it for me while I run off to orientation??” she had a slight pout, not wanting him to say no. Immediately, she could tell he became very flustered and just nodded a he took her coat, “I-yea, um, I can.” Stasia smiled brightly, “Oh how lovely!!” she clapped her hand together, “You are seriously the best, thank you so much!! It’s room 6F,” she told him and quickly walked off and towards where she hoped was the orientation building but...she wasn't sure honestly.

the prophecyCeleste RossiCeles fidgeted as her mom messed with the skirt of her outfit, “Did you sit down? Or walk funky?? It’s all folded!” Celes was reaching her end point, she was so close to freedom from her parents, but they were prolonging it!! “Mother, I believe that’s just the skirt, but I do need to get going. What if I’m late??” she feigned worry, she pretty sure orientation has already started, or at least was close to. She was debating going towards the library anyway… Her mother sighed, “Alright, just be careful, you may not be known at Horizon’s but still act like a proper lady,” she said going into her spiel again. Celeste only nodded, she could recite everything by heart now. Don’t slouch, hold your her up high, hands folded nicely in front of you, smile, not too bright!! It was like a mantra she had to repeat every day, multiple times a day, her entire life. She couldn’t wait to get out of her. “Where’s father?” she questioned, already knowing the newer but hoping otherwise. “He’s much too busy for something as trivial as this,” her mom sighed, as if disappointed Celes would even ask. The pang in her heart was easy to ignore and hide, something she’s done for many years now. She only nodded and walked to the portal, she could tell her mom was scrutinizing her steps, so she made sure it was all perfect as she walked through. As soon as she was through, she looked around, taking the gloves out of her little bag and sliding them on. She could tell right away that she was incredibly overdressed compared to how everyone else looked….but she wasn’t even sure she’d like their clothes anyway. Some looked very nice, but definitely went against what she was always told. She looked for signs, seeing one way was to the library and another was toward the orientation building…should she just skip orientation? It can’t be that important, right? Her thoughts were interrupted by someone walking up to her, “Hi! You look lost, are you a first yea?” they asked. Shocked by the sudden talking, she could only nod, “No biggie! Orientation is right that way! Just follow the crowd!!” she lady smiled at her as she pointed. But it was a different smile, it seemed…genuine. How nice. “Thank you,” Celes spoke quietly, for fear of being too loud, and headed off in the direction. Obviously ‘fate’ wanted her to go to orientation, so orientation she’ll go.

the drowElerra NaerthElerra had had a bit of a rough morning. First, one of her secretaries had made a mistake and scheduled a meeting today, today! Of all days!! She's had this whole week blocked off for months now. It was continously said. But, the meeting had been too important to reschedule, so she suggested they meet earlier in the morning, so that she would have enough time to get herself situated into her dorm and with her classes. She couldn't help but glance down at her hand, where she saw a bright blue thread on her finger. She had made a promise to at least interact with her soulmate this year to her grandparents, and Elerra kept her promises. Did she actually want to? Not really, she wanted to focus on her studies to graduate and go back to her company. The start of the school year was always stressful, as her clients often worried their different projects wouldn't be getting enough attention. She felt she didn't need another thing added to her list. She decided that if she happened to see them, she'd introduce herself, but she didn't exactly feel like going out of the way to do so. So instead, she directed her bodyguards, that she swore she didn't need, to her room. She made her way to her room, glancing down at her phone to answer an email as another client was being whiney about not meeting with her the next few days.

the shy oneEloise Hart
You'd think after being in college for a while she'd have gotten used to the amount of people. But it seemed like there was double the amount. Which could've been true, with all the people that had some sort of relative or friend dropping them off. "Stop worrying!" her father bumped his him into her, knocking her out of her anxious thoughts. Eloise looked a little sheepishly at her father, who just smiled and hugged her, "This is the last box, so I think you can handle it yourself yea?" He had tried not to go this year, thinking Eloise needed to just be pushed into this year, but was quickly proved wrong when she quickly spiraled at the thought. So, he agreed and thought maybe next year. Eloise on the other hand, had maybe acted a bit dramatic on purpose, she probably would've been fine. "Yes, I can do that," she quietly told her father and took the box from him. Her roommates weren't there yet, so she had a bit before that new interaction happened. She hoped that her roommate was a more quiet person like herself, or at least super kind. With one last wave she said goodbye to her dad and carried the box up to her room.

the readerErika King
Erika sighed lightly as they got closer to the academy and played with the her skirt. She loved car rides but not with her grandparents. They were slow drivers, so she was ready to get out of the car. "Are you ready, Hun?" her grandma asked excitedly as she turned to look at her. "Uh, yes, but I'm also kinda nervous, like nervicited," she joked, causing them to let out a small laugh, knowing that she'd be just fine. She purposfully packed her espresso press thing last night so that she wouldn't use it and be shaking from all the caffine and her nerves. "Don't be! You're going to do great in school and also meet your soulmate!" her grandfather said excitedly for his granddaughter, "Plus, we were able to send the mini fridge early so you don't have to wait a whole day for your coffee," he joked and Erika laughed softly, already feeling a little less nervous. Both of her parents had met at the school, and while it wasn't this one, she still had wanted to go in hopes of doing something similar as her parents.
They soon got to the entrance of the school and parked the car near the dorm building. Her grandparents and her got out and helped her grab her bags. They gave her tight hugs and she smiled as she hugged them back, she was definitely going to miss them, but they were only a call away. Possibly facetime or skype....but she doubted that they'd be able to do that without her.

the emotionless plantEvie CookEvie had gotten to her dorm room fairly early. She wanted to get all of her plants all situated and take a small nap before the rest of her roommates had gotten here. She also wanted to get her room done in case Nina needed help with anything. She had already gotten a talking to about...the bear situation at her old place, so she wondered if Nina would get the same thing. The alarm on her phone woke her up as she sat up groggily, ugh, it wasn't quite enough sleep, but it'll have to do. She got up and fixed her clothes and hair before grabbing a snack from one of her cubby holders. She slowly ate, relaxing on her bed for a bit more as she waited for her roommates to show up. But it wasn't long before the fell back into sleep, growing all of her plants so quickly does that to her.

the artistHazel VaroHazel signed as she backed into a close parking spot and put her truck into park. A gift from her parents a few months before she left was the truck she was looking at buying. It was 8 years old, but the owner also never drove it, so she was happy to work for it and very surprised when her parents handed her the keys one day. She hopped out and grabbed a couple bags, probably too many, as she walked to the woman at the front of her dorm. "Hi! I'm Brittney! The leader for this dorm, what's your name?" she asked. "Hi! I'm Hazel, oh, Hazel Varo," she smiled. She was so excited to start school and possibly meet her soulmate. She almost started zoning out before realizing that she had said which room she was in. "Oh, I'm sorry. What room again? I'm just really excited," she laughed softly. The girl repeated and gave her everything she needed before letting Hazel go up to her room. She went up the stairs, wanting to avoid as much people as possible with all of her bags. She stumbled on up the stairs and turned the corner, where she then ran into another girl, causing them both to tumble to the ground. "Oh goodness I'm so sorry! I should've been paying attention!" Hazel quickly said and helped the other girl up. They both talked and apologized as Hazel quickly picked up her things again, so much for going quicker, she thought and laughed lightly. She got into the apartment style room, looked into the room that had her name on the door. She was very excited, as the room had a big ass window right where her art desks were. She was the first one in right now, and there was no thread on her finger, but she was ok with that. She didn’t want to start worrying about having a soulmate or not, as she knows some people don’t meet theirs until much later in life. She went back to her truck to grab some more things, almost running into someone else on the way again. She should probably start paying more attention, but she just was too excited and nervous about meeting her possible soulmate and roommates!

the shockerLana Warner
Lana pushed at her brother, 'gently' waking him up. She had been nice enough to let him sleep on her, but he started snoring, plus they were pulling up to the front of their dorm anyway. Callum barely woke up, looking a little confused, but still laying into her. Now, Lana loves her brother, and she also loves cuddling with him, however, she loves to bother him at the same time. Their mom looked back towards them both, again telling Callum that it's time to wake up, but sees Lana smiling and her hair raising with electricity. "Lana-" she warns, but it's too late, Lana touches her brothers ear, causing Callum to yelp and wake up with a jolt, literally. He glares at Lana and rubs at his ear, "Jerk." "Ass." "Lana! No swearing in the car," their dad warns. Callum sticks his tongue out at Lana, causing her to roll her eyes. From her seat, she could see the small smirk of both of her parents, causing her own smirk to appear. The family was soon parked, letting the twins out of the car.
They both hugged their parents tightly, Callum was meeting some friends to go to a nearby college, so Lana hugged him tightly as well before going of to the line in front of her dorm hall. She got her key and quickly went up to her room, absolutely loving how nice her room was all set up. She glanced at her hand, half disappointed to not see a thread there yet, but she just had to have paitence. It was only the beginning of the day, how did she know if she'd have a soulmate or not??

the bakerLillian BlackthornLilly was holding many different trays in her hands, being extra careful to not bump into anybody to knock them or the trays over. It was times like this she wished she could teleport, or fly, or have telekenisis. She cheerfully said hello to the people she knew, wishing them a good year for them or congratulations if they were near their soulmate. She quickly went up the stairs to her room and started plating all of the sweets. She had sent a message to Cassia, asking her if she could find out about her roommates to see if they were allergic to anything. She probably could've figured it out on her own for her one roommate, Rosalia, as she was a model apparently! That'll be so fun to ask about!!! But a quick glance on her social media, she saw that she'd posted a few times about blueberry tarts, so of course, that is exactly what Lilly decided to make!! Her next roommate, Cass wasn't able to find anything on, so Lilly wondered if she was from a completely different world-how interesting!!! And her third roommate, while they shared a very similar name, she also couldn't find anything on her either! Maybe this new world was just better at controlling all of that or something. So, she decided to do small platters of a wide variety of different desserts. She set it all up on one of the tables that you walk right into. She made sure that it at least looked nice...but it was such a hodge podge of many different treats that it couldn't really look...unanimous. But she didn't care all that much, as long as they hopefully liked it! She also made sure to write what treats did or didn't have nuts, and even included some dairy and gluten free options as well!! She knew there was no way that her roommates and her would finish this all, but she was more than ready to give leftovers to the rest of her dorm hall mates!!!

the pirateLyn HuntLyn walked towards where her and Osian had agreed to meet. Lyn had gotten here earlier, wanting to see the campus without a ton of people. She wasn't used to places like this, and also didn't want to get lost. There was too may people, and she's already been cut off by way too many people making out, nervously greeting one another, or just walking. Do people pay attention? With a sigh, she walked up and stood beside Osian, "I thought we agreed on toning down on the pirate-esqe outfits?" Lyn glanced down at herself, "This is toned down. I don't have a hat," she said matter of factly. With a slight chuckle and smile, they both made their way up the stairs and to their separate dorm rooms.

the assassinOpal VoidOpal sighed as she entered her dorm room. She glanced around at the rather large room, it was much larger than she was used to. The phone that Alya had gotten her was now on, and she looked at it confused...what was this for again? She slipped it into her bag, deciding she can figure out all of her things later. She looked at the doors of the other room, they all had names on them. And she was surprised to see the name Ophelia on one of them, is that the same one she met before? That'd be interesting, and Opal wouldn't mind that very much either. Another door said Zenaye, she'd never met anyone with that name. And the last said Ruby...Huh, she's only ever met one, but she's not even sure where Ruby is right now. She assumed that she's probably still in the old world, but there was a very small chance it could be her long last friend.
Deciding to push away her thoughts of her new roommates, she went to her room and started to undo the very few boxes that she had.

the asshole princeOsian AestraOsian stepped out of his, new, Bugatti Chiron. Did he get it just for school? Yes. If he has to be around these people for the next 9 months then he's going to look his best and do and be in things that he wants. One of those things just happened to be a car. He smirked at some of the stares and could tell who actually knew cars. He had already had his things sent to his room, which is where he found out he didn't have his own room, he had a roommate. How that was messed up he had no idea, but he wasn't all too happy about it either. Normally he'd argue and get his own room, but he didn't want to deal. Hopefully his roommate will just keep quiet around him. He glanced around, looking for Lyn. It wasn't long before he caught sight of her, of course glaring at someone who happened to cut her off. "I thought we agreed on toning down on the pirate-esqe outfits?" Lyn glanced down at herself, "This is toned down. I don't have a hat," she said matter of factly. With a slight chuckle and smile, they both made their way up the stairs and to their separate dorm rooms.

the witchRaven StatenRaven was practically skipping along as she made her way towards her dorm. She had come in the day before, but she was just so excited to see everyone coming in! She had went into the city to stop at her favorite thrifting boutique, her outfit just wasn't perfectly right yet. It was just her luck when she not only found new earrings, but the most ADORABLE shoes ever!!! Not even fully planning it, her entire outfit was now sun and moon themed, her favorite!! She couldn't believe her luck! She kept looking down at her hand every few skips, thinking this year is the perfect year to meet her soulmate. I mean, how could she have this totally fated outfit and not meet the person she's fated to be with?!?! She smiled brightly as she'd stop and chat with people she knew, keeping an eye on that hand off hers.
