Luna smiles slightly and puts her, rather accurate snow copy of Levi next to the town "And finished!" she says. Gunther sighs "I think we can give up already... " he mumbles. Eren walks to Levi "I don't see you two together that often" he says and asks "How come?"


"Yeah, I still don't like the fact they tried eating Honey" Victoria mumbles and the one she's hugging licks her face "But they're so cute!"

Levi blinks and smiles a little what the girls make out of snow " well you guys are the winner" he said and looked at Eren " well I have a load of paperwork to do and she has to work of potions and stuff in her lab" he explained " so we can't always be together"

Erza smiled and sat down and petted the adult fox " they are cute..." she said softly. "so what did Erwin say about the blood on you clothes?" Mikasa asked " well, he just said not to get blood on my clothes again... I just said no promises."

Luna looks at Petra and says "Let's help the guys finish that weird Titan", she felt kinda bad for them. Eren smiles slightly "Even so, I rarely see you guys together at breakfast or dinner".


"He's just worried about you" Victoria says and she giggles as the small fox keeps licking her "That tickles" she says. "I wonder how Hanji's holding up, since we probably took the only two caves close to HQ" Christa says and she sighs.

Petra smiled and nodded " okie" she said as she went over and started finishin the Titan for them. She hummed a little. Levi nodded a little " that it true..."

"We're just really busy and I tend to skip meals when I'm working" Luna says and Eren thinks for a while before nodding, he then walks over to the others of the squad and whispers so Levi and Luna won't hear "We have to get them to spend some time together". Gunther nods in agreement and asks "But how?"


"Yeah, she's still crazy though" Victoria says and she sweatdrops "I wonder what she had planned next" she mumbles.

When the snow fell on Ken he let out a sigh and brushed it off. Standing up he made sure it was all off of him before he walked away. Sitting on a different dry area he brushed some snow out of his hair. "If I die of hypothermia, then we know who to blame." He muttered to himself. Having no new orders and nothing much to do, he took out his knife and picked up a thick branch. With that he started to make a small wood figurine out of it to pass the time.


Ryuu separated the berries into equal shares giving them to each recruit. Ken didn't go get his as he wasn't hungry and he was occupied by what he was doing.

"We walk off looking for food and have them spend time together?" Petra suggested and shrugged a little.

Erza took out a notebook and pencil as she leaned on the wall and started to draw something " well whatever it is it can't be crazy, since she will get in trouble with the commander" she said to her.

"We have enough food, that'd be suspicious" Eren points out and he sighs "This is harder then I though it'd be". Luna blinks slightly and asks "What do you think they're talking about?"


Victoria nods "But still, she has Ken in her group, that guy has a bad attitude and refuses to work together" she says.

Ken kept whittling at the branch which was starting to take form. As he did this he suddenly let out a loud sneeze dropping his knife. Sniffing a bit he wiped his nose. "I cant be catching a cold right? ..... Someone must be talking about me." He muttered as he picked up his knife and went back to what he was doing.

"Oi Ken, if you have time to sit around go do something useful!" Hanji yells before landing on her feet "And show some respect, you don't simply call your superiors by name and you don't yell at them" she says and adds "If I recall correctly I said I'd send you back if that happened again".

Ken looked up from his project and stood up. "I couldn't find you... So I had to yell." He placed his unfinished carving in his pocket and looked at her. "What needs to be done?" He asked in his usual calm tone.

" hmm...." Petra think and nods in agreement with Eren. She sighed, she can't think of anything.

"Yeah... him" she said with a softly sigh "well, he needs to learn soon or Erwin won't let him go on the next expedition. People like him will get us all killed" she said. Mikasa nodded in agreement.

"I've had enough of you for one week, go back to HQ" Hanji says obviously annoyed "You have eyes, you could have looked for me".


Luna sighs and she lightly pulls Levi along heading to the lake "They're a bunch of idiots" she mumbles.


Victoria nods "Wouldn't be surprised if he got send back already" she says and adds "I'm not surprised no one wants him in their squads, or why he isn't squad leader yet".

Ken blinked and looked confused. ".... Why are you sending me back? I did look but the snow was blocking my view. I had to yell, but I wasn't disrespecting you."


Ryuu was leaning on a tree and quietly listening to the two along with the other cadets who were quietly snickering.

"Ever heard of climbing the tree?" Hanji asks, glaring at him "And calling me just by my name is disrespectful, go back now!", she was just about done with him. Elena sighs "It's always like that, however, he can't go on the next expedition now that he's been ordered to go back, besides, yelling just attracts Titans outside the wall".

Ken was silent for a bit and took a deep breath before looking up at her once more. "Squad Leader.... I'm sorry about calling you out by your name, and yelling. My foot was aching and I didn't want to risk climbing a tree in fear of making a worse injury on myself and being a burden to the rest of the team. I apologize for calling you by your name, but I had gotten little sleep last night so I was a bit grumpy. Please squad leader give me one more chance. I swear to you, I won't disrespect you again." He said in his calm voice as he gave her a salute standing at attention.


Ryuu was quiet and looked at Elena. "I don't know the guy... But sending him back because he called her by her first name is a bit harsh isn't it? And this is just a training exercise... Hanji and some of the other cadets were yelling at him earlier right? I just think it's a bit... I don't know harsh. He obviously has a lot of pride and wants to be recognized by his skill... But from what I hae seen everyone is kind of treating him like dirt." He said giving him his opinion on the mater.

"He doesn't work in teams and it wasn't just that, he had been rather annoying already, he has too much pride and though he's good with skills no one likes him, he doesn't open up to anyone, blackmailing for his own gain and that stuff. You must know that one fatal error in teamwork can cost us many lives out there" Elena says and she sighs. Hanji keeps glares "You seemed to be walking just fine, I said go back, I can't handle you a week, no one can. Your blackmailing reputation is what caused you to have no friends, and your attitude as well, you keep pushing us away, even Elena, who tried becoming your friend. I will not risk anyone dying because someone works alone" she says and adds "Do not make me repeat myself and just go".

"No one has tried to be my friend." Ken whispered as he let his hands fall to his side. "... Elena, that's the girl talking to Ryuu right? You want to be my friend? Don't come to me asking if the rumors were true and then going on telling me a bunch of bull crap I heard a million times. How about something simple like 'Hi I'm Elena, I would like to get to know you before I judge you on you past.' " He said before looking back at Hanji. "And you don't know shit about the blackmailing. Because of it I saved lives! I never blackmailed a good person in my life! I saved people because of what I did!" He shouted suddenly losing his cool. He was just so sick of hearing all of this about how blackmailing is wrong and how he was a terrible person because of it. He was so tired, he kept calm and level headed wanting this to blow over, but it was evident they had no plans in letting it go. So he just snapped a bit


"I'm sick of everyone saying it's my blackmail reputation that is ruining my ability to make friends! Because if that's the case you are all ignorant!" He said as he balled up his fist tightly. "I saved five girls that were sex slaves to that disgusting pig of a noble, I found and turned in a murderer who was a high ranking officer in the military police! I uncovered a plot of treason!! But all you guys know is I blackmail people so I must be fucking bad right!?! Maybe you guys should ask why I blackmailed instead of coming up with your own bullshit!!!!" Taking a deep breath he turned on his heels and walked away tossing the half carved branch behind him which was the unfinished symbol of the wings of freedom. Not giving anyone a chance to talk to him he ran back to the main base knowing which way to go with ease. As he ran there was a small limp in him from his hurt foot that may have gotten frost bite.


Ryuu just stood there and blinked not sure what just happened or what to say.

Petra turned and saw Levi following Luna to the near by lake. Levi looked at Luna as he walked with her " what's wrong?" He asked her.

Erza sighed as she remembered some of the stuff she in the file. She finished her drawing and stsred at it for a bit thinking ' i should ask Levi...' she thought to herself. She looked st the sky 'blackmailing...' she thought to herself.

Luna sighs "Just s small headache" she mumbles and sighs "I guess it's a bit of everything that had happened" she says looking down. "Wonder where they're going" Eren says.


Victoria looks at Erza "Also, I tried talking to him, but he either completely ignored me or pushed me away like some useless trash" she says and sighs. "I get the feeling I'm only getting in the way when I'm around him".


Elena glares and yells after him "I tried, but you just ignored me! And people say that they're scared of you!", she really hated that guy "Whatever, he can die for all I care" she says and walks of, angry. Hanji sighs "It's his fault for never talking to others or trying to open up".

Ryuu scratched his head as he watched Ken walk off. "I still think you guys are being harsh with him." He said as he walked over and grabbing the unfished carving. "He has a lot of passion about this, not to mention his determination is no joke. Sure he may not be one for tea parties and he doesn't want to talk about his past or open up... But you know, it could be because his past is too traumatizing." He said as he looked at the carving.


After a small bit he put he carving in his pocket before walking off to Elena. "Hey are you okay there? " He asked her.


Ken headed back to the HQ, however he didn't go back right away. He stopped at a tree when he was a good distance from everyone and pulled out a necklace from his pocket that he kept hidden. He looked at it and sighed. "You know, I don't get why you have so much faith in people... Three years I have been here, and they are still the same... They keep judging me about my past, and not even the good part!" He said to the necklace as if he were talking to another person.


Still looking at the necklace he starred at it for a good while before closing his hand and placing it in his pocket. "I really don't understand you optimism brother.... Faith in humanity? Ha... Every day that goes by, I'm starting to lose more and more of it." He muttered still walking back. Soon he stopped in his tracks when he heard a cry, it wasn't a human cry, but it was still loud and a bit sad. '...That sounded like a bird.' He thought as he walked toward the sound.


In moments he saw what was the matter. On the snow, was a beautiful flacon that couldn't get up, it kept letting out desperate cries but it all seemed futile. Not far he saw a few things move the bushes and he heard a snarl. 'Wolfs.' He thought as he crouched down, holding still so they wouldn't hear him. 'That falcon must have been a late hatcher... It doesn't even look like an adult.' He thought as another cry left the poor bird.


Ken stayed hidden and watched unsure as to what he should do, the bird was so helpless and was being toyed with by the wolves. But if he went out there to help it, the wolves would surely attack him, and he had no clue how many there were. After another cry left it, the bird tried to stand up only to crash once more to the ground and at the same time two wolves appeared in the clearing. Ken still didn't do anything as he came to reason that this was the way nature worked so he shouldn't interfere.


The wolves now closing in on the bird, the falcon saw them and stopped letting out cries for help. Instead it once more tried to stand up despite it's injury. The wolves were circling around the falcon at this time seeing the pray helpless so they took there time. As they neared the falcon tried harder to get up and soon it did. But it wasn't able to spread both wings to fly off. One wolf decided to stop playing with it and pounced upon the wounded creature. The falcon used it's one good wing and was able to move to the side before it was eaten. The wolves growled at it and the flacon glared back, the two predators let out a loud bark trying to intimidate the falcon. However the falcon let out a loud screech, not one asking for help, but one of determination and really it sounded like it was planning to eat the wolves.


Ken kept watching this from the sidelines and he couldn't he but smile. 'That bird, is going against nature. It's wounded and bleeding, it's alone, it should know it won't survive.' He thought before letting out a sigh. "I'm an idiot." He mumbled as he stood up. He then got up grabbing a few near by pebbles. Standing tall he let out a growl himself towering over the wolves and making him self look intimidating. The wolves looked at him and growled back though slowly backed up. When one wolf moved forward and growled at him. Ken stomped on the ground and growled right back at it and glared at it with one of his scary glares that usually frightened away people. And it worked just as well on wolves from the looks of it as moments later, the wolves ran off scarred of him their tails between there legs.


When they were gone he let out a sigh he walked over to the falcon. Kneeling next to the animal he smiled softly at it (something he hasn't done in a while). "I'm not gong to hurt you." He said as he slowly reached out to get it. Of course the falcon still attacked him as he had no clue who he was and he didn't understand what he was saying. It nipped Ken and scratched him, however Ken didn't stop till the birds was safely in his arms. He covered the creature with his cape and quickly ran back to HQ with the wounded falcon in hand.

Elena sits against a tree pulling her legs to her chest "Even if I try to be nice, it doesn't change anything" she says and sighs, she had tried talking to Ken several times, even two weeks ago, but he completely ignored her "I'm not as good as everyone else, no one would notice me" she mumbles and gets up again, maybe she should quit and go live with her grandfather, no one would ignore her then, she hears growling, but doesn't try getting up, she didn't care anymore, she was a loner, but still worked together.

Ryuu went over to Elena and looked at her. "Hey you don't have to be down. Maybe you approached him the wrong way? Or something could have happened during those few weeks that made him unresponsive." He said giving her a nice smile. When he heard the growling he looked around and was quiet for a bit. "Elena we should head back to the group..."


Shivering a bit Ken soon arrived back at HQ. When he got there he went to the infirmary to get checked up quickly. Seeing as everyone was gone he didn't have to wait long for a doctor to come to him. "Oh? A falcon?" She asked as she looked at the wounded bird that he showed her. "Yeah... Do you think you can see what is wrong with it?" He asked as he shivered so much that his teeth were chatter. The women looked at him and nodded. "Sure thing Blackend, but I'm going to do a check up on you first. I saw you were limping." "Stop calling me that...and yeah. It's noting I just hurt my ankle when I fell the other day." "Well Blackend, still going to check." She said with a smile as she carefully took the bird placing it on the counter behind her.
