[Athamar: Quests from Lorana] Event RP for the month of October

So we have months in advance for this, but I figured I'll make the post now, so we can discuss this possibility.


How would all of you feel to have a Halloween themed RP for the month of October? It'll be a short game and will have nothing to do with the main storyline.


I don't have any distinct ideas yet, but necromancers and an army of the undead fill my head so far.

Does that mean non-canon (like involving current characters outside of the main narrative, who cares, lol) or more like a side-story?

I guess it's non-canon? I'm not too sure, I'm not familiar with those terms (and I've heard it so many times lol). It will involve our current characters, but in a totally different storyline.

Non-canon means it didn't really happening. Think of it like Alternate Universe.

Speaking of Undead Nightmare.


Luth you know that whole army that is going to be in my short story and how they make their very quick and unexpected end.


What if for an idea that whole invading army's souls were left in anguish at the site of their camp outside the city always waiting for orders to march back on the city. =D

I know I might be asking too much, but are we talking about legit ZOMBIES (Slow walk, biting) or something different?

Something different, so they are not the zombies we are used to seeing. I will elaborate more later on.

Darn, I was hoping for classical zombies to give it a very heavy "Halloween Special" feel, like Sneaky said. Still, it lends itself to some terrifying possibilities; Zombie Mages, Zomibe Giants.


ZOMBIE DRAGONS OH GOD.

Zombie dragons, hmm...


Cthulhu does have this idea in mind. If you read his story, it'll be a lot clearer for you guys. But in his story, there is this war with an opposing nation (the Tala-Urr), which are pretty fierce. Anyway, after Elenia (Ialia's mom) dies, Luvon (her father) goes mad and makes a deal with a demon to give him extra power and destroy the Tala-Urr. Unfortunately, every deal comes with a price. Luvon's soul is bound to the demon and he can never rest.


I think that's about sums it up, but correct me if I'm wrong Cthulhu. In relation to this Halloween story, we can have this opposing nation rise from the dead ready to attack once more. How did they come back from the dead? I'm thinking some crazed Necromancer or even Ace's lich character if that's a possibility.


I'm also thinking there is some curse or disease, perhaps in relation to the god: Aevio, in which it causes the human to deform and become corpse like. So Ace, we can have your "classical" zombie! =D


My mind is running on a tangent here, but do feel free to post ideas of your own.

So looks like we will have a Halloween event RP! October is on Monday so in a few days (and when I'm not overloaded with work), I will work on the IC for it.


If you have any last minute ideas or suggestions, do let us know!

So I want everyone's input with this. It won't give away any ideas, but I need to know:


Would you want to start off immediately with action or build up?


This is actually very important, as picking one or the other will lead to a different IC post.

I think an important aspect is whether or not it will last ONLY for October. If so, I believe it should start up quick, or at least with very little build up. Like, say it's the day after the day in the current IC, after we all got shitfaced we wake up to the City falling to whatever you have in store.


Just my opinion, however.

Sounds good. I do expect the Event RP to last until early-mid November, but if it ends earlier even cooler.

Since the clock is ticking, how about limiting it to one character per player?
