Ace of Hearts1
Alcoholic Duck.
Name: Arsene Salazar.
Age: 24.
Appearance:
Arsene stands in an 5'10 and weighs 140 pounds, and is of a thinner build. He is athletic to the point of being quick on his feet and rather acrobatic. He's strong enough to carry himself over walls and climb up rope, but can easily be outmatched(in terms of strength) by warriors. He has ear length wavy brown hair that leads into prickly stubble across his jaw. Arsene suffers from complete heterochromia iridum, or the having of two different eye colors. One is green and the other is a greyish color. This is due to a lack of a certian pigment in his eye.
Location: Perennon Forest.
Class/Weapon: Gentleman Thief: Arsene carries his own bow, fashioned from the one of the finest trees within the Perennon Forest. He is a skilled Archer, well versed in both Short and long bows. In his line of 'work', he's prefered he non-lethel approach (unless dealing with monsters or bandits), prefering to subdue rather than kill. Aiming for the legs would be a fine choice. the better case scenario, use some of his custom arrows. Those of which are: Noisemakers, Fireworks, and Sleepers. Noisemakers are attached with a small Music box, which lures guards or monsters where ever it's shot. Fireworks hold a small amount of black powder, which can be used to stun or for sabotage.
Sleepers are dipped in a non lethel posion which knock out the target. The downside to all these are: Noisemakers are faint and can malfunction if not handled delicately. Fireworks have fuses of varible lengths, and Sleepers may not affect larger, stonger creatures/people. One larger shared downside is they all cost a pretty copper piece to buy, and he rarely carries around more than 2 of each. He also has a grappling hook to help him scale things, and can also be used as a last resort close weapon.
Personality: Suave. Deceptive. Methodical. Arrogant. Many words describe Arsene. Foul or complimentary is dependent on who is actually speaking. Charms and wit are tools of the trade of the thief, just as greed is. And Arsene has these in the tenfold. He does not believe in loyalty to any single cause or man, instead owing his allegiance to himself and the pursuit of gold. No Gods, No Masters. However, if he ever decides you're worthy of his admiration, you'll have a bow covering your back forever
Bio: Born the only child of Corn farming parents, Arsene was a little less than content. Granted, his father often took him out hunting, where he learned how to handle a bow. Many things often came up missing in their house, often found in Arsene's room. Often times, they'd find things they didn't even own. Going into a teenager, he became quite skilled with a bow, and that's when his parents saved enough gold for the trip to the Perennon Forest, where he lived for some time, training in the arts of shadows and persuasion. Being one of the few humans in the Forest, he learned the language of the Elves.
He worked as an apprentice under Vyria Ellamas, Lady of the Shadow Weavers. The Shadow Weavers are an order of thieves who wield the darkness through magical means to distract and mesmerize, in order to augment their physical skills. He worked with long time partner Bernadette Mirell. While Arsene didn't posses any magical talent, Bernadette did, and it is common for Shadow Weavers to work in a partnership like that. For 6 years they worked together, from age 14 to 20, until on one heist gone wrong Bernadette left a wounded Arsene for capture. When he escaped, he went back to Vyria, ashamed to have failed her. As fate was cruel, Bernadette was there, who had decieved Vyria telling that Arsene and his incompetence had almost gotten them both captured. Arsene pleaded his case, but was cast out of apprenticeship. He now worked on his own, alone and bitter.
A few years had past on his own and luck shoud have it, he had met two adventurers, Brol Askerad, 3st son of Rigar Askerad, and 3rd in line for the Ironsplitters tribe Chieftain, and Calisa Ednias, Elven mage and recent graduate of Anorgath. The three of them traveled across the land, doing odd jobs primarily. They had a good balance, and they mostly got along. Sure, Calisa had to lock Arsene mouth shut with a spell everytime he made a pass at her, and they had to carry Brol out of taverns. Sometimes more than once a day.
