02 Royalty X Assassin

Being the prince{ss} of the kingdom, [Muse A] lived in a life restricted by many factors, {s}he was protected and not allowed to see the world outside. Everywhere {s}he went, {s}he would be followed by guards. {s}He was tired of his/her life and the only happy moments when {s}he gets to read about stories about assassins and how knights come to save the kingdom. On the night of [Muse A]’s fifteenth birthday [Muse B] who was on a mission was badly injured and propelled himself into [Muse A]’s bedroom. A hand clasped over [Muse A]’s mouth, [Muse B] warn [Muse A] not to tell anyone that {s}he had been here. Having waited out his/her pursuers, [Muse B] left the palace with the only words, “I’ll repay you some day.”

With that, three years have passed and now [Muse A] is eighteen and his/her father (the king) is holding a ball and party to celebrate his/her birthday. However amongst the guests were some unwanted people – the assassins. They were here to get rid of [Muse A] and [Muse B] is part of the group of assassins. [Muse A] noticed [Muse B] amongst the assassins about to kill him/her and found him/her familiar. What would [Muse A] do when the tip of blade was pointed at him/her ready to stop his heart with a plunge?

||@CrescentHowler Which Muse would you like to play, and who do you wish to start? ||

The ballroom was large, filled to the brim with graceful dancers, moving to the steady beat of the waltz, and gaping passers by who would occasionally stop and congratulate them before moving onto the buffet table lining one wall. Ladies shoes could be heard clicking on the white marble floors, and hundereds of voices overlapped each other, thousands of conversations drifting around the halls. The palace was beautiful - anyone would agree, with it's delicate sculptures and inricate carvings. It was truly a sight to behold. Within the large crowds stood a young man, with pale blue eyes and raven coloured curls. His pale skin was flawless, and his face defined with high cheekbones and a strong jawline. Rowan Sadron, as he was known, scanned the room, occasionaly making eye contact with members of the party, but also members of the Brotherhood. The Brotherhood was a group of men - with the exeption of two dedicated sisters - who killed for a living. They were assassins. And today, their task was to wipe out the whole of the royal family. An easy enough task for such a big a group. With swift movements, Rowan began to make his way across the ballroom, weaving in between the dancers with such precision. His hands knew their way around a woman, as they crawled like ivy around backs, and seductively suggested more before he walked off, insistent on finding his star victim on the evening.

The ballroom was crowded more than it had ever been in the castle before, more people than usual crowding the rooms. Everyone was cheering and having fun, eother drinking their drinks or waltzing with one another on the dance floor. All except for one young girl, no older than the young age of 18. Her mother and father had arranged the ball, hoping the young woman would soon find a young boy to court her. Sure, there were plenty of young men around and plenty of them were handsome and rich, but none caught her eye, more or less boring her as she found the ball less interesting then she thought she would've. The young woman's name was spoken often around the small dancing room, everyone excited to be in her presence along with her parents. Princess Arianna Talon The Second, being named after her grandmother who had died while the young woman was still just a child. Her eyes lifted up off the table as she gazed around the room boredly, another dance starting to begin. One boy did seem to catch her eye, though her only having little glances of the male as he would disappear in to the crowd once she spotted him. This boy though, he seemed... How so familiar. She felt she knew the boy, like she had met him somewhere before but just couldnt prove her theory. She glanced away when she noticed the boy was moving through the crowds and straightened out her pure white and blue ballroom dress, the top fitting her frame perfectly and beginning to fan out once it hit her hips and frame. Her face was a good tan, not to dark or light with small, delicate lips and beautifully placed cheek bones. Her hair was curled and fanned out around her back, her long blonde hair being topped off woth a crystal crown to fit her head. The young woman's dress was strapless, with pure golden earings and some sparkly blue heels for her feet to top off the dress. She glanced around, her lips ruby red as she hoped the boy would ask her to dance or something, but choose to keep her silence as she looked out one of the windows dreamingLy.

Rowan smirked, his eyes finally finding his target, and locking on, like a prey finding his predator. Although that's exactly what it was. Princess Arianna Talon was the innocent, young, beautiful butterfly, stuck in Rowans spider web of manipulative lies, deception and illusion. His fingers brushed against the cuffs of his black shirt, fiddling with them before glancing up again. Within a few minutes, he was at the Princess' side, offering a slender hand, spidery fingers leaning out towards the young girl.

"Care to dance, Your Highness?" The smirk was still plastered on his face, playful as always. A ripple passed over his clothes as he wriggled his shoulders, slightly uncomfortable with the task ahead of him. Adrian has set him this task to prove his worth and loyalty to the Brotherhood. If only his victim was ugly, but no. Adrian knew Rowan had a tendancy to flirt, and so asked him to kill the Princess; the girl Adrian knew he had a past with, one that she was sure to forget. It did not help that Rowan allowed himself to love beautiful people, unlike his emotionless older brother, the infamous Adrian, or his unnattatched sister, Morgan.

The young woman heard the sound of footsteps getting closer and closer but thought it was someone who was just walking by to ask another woman to dance. Dhe sighed and glanced around the room before looking back out the windows and admiring the people who were outside as well. The stars shone brightly down on the path way and made the fountain glow a silverly white. Laughter filled the tightly packed ballroom, Men and woman dancing elegantly against the ballroom floor.

The young woman jumped when she suddenly heard a voice and pressed a hand to her heart. "Pardon my manner." The woman said with a gentle smile as she glanced down at his hand and took it into her own. "It would be my pleasure." The young princess said before following the male to the dance floor. She could smell the man's faint colone, something she had been smelling all night, mostly on other men.

His skin was cold, however his personality was not; Rowan was always calm and happy. Rowan reached the centre of the ballroom within a few seconds, Arianna a little longer, but people were pushing into him. This wasn't good. Despite his calm exterior, Rowan actually had a very short temper. Too many people or too much unwanted contact started to get him angrier and angrier, until he exploded into a state of pure rage.

He held one hand of the Princess' and the other hand rested on her waist, reaching round her back slightly. Rowan pulled her close, smirking coyly and looking down at her, icy blue eyes sparkling playfully, with a twinkle of mischief. The two danced, speeding up and slowing down, some movements long and elegant, some fast and passionate. With every crescendo and decrescendo, every rise and fall, Rowan and Arianna moved with the music, until the shattering of glass could be heard across the room. Then a loud scream. The scream was cut short, then followed by more screams, and the crowds rapidly parted. Another smirk. It had begun.

Rowan held the girl, his victim, close, hand gripping tightly onto her dress, whilst the other hand reached for his knife. His hand met the cold metal of his hidden dagger. The small knife, adapted to killing, had a jeweled handle and thin silver blade. It was beautiful, and yet used for such an ugly purpose. To help himself, Rowan kept repeating the same sentence in his head...

She's just like the rest she's just like the rest she's just like the rest she's just like the rest she's just like the rest she's just like...

But she wasn't. He remembered that night. She had helped him. She had offered him safety. More than that, food and shelter for that night, even despite his reputation. Either she was stupid... or she was pure. Kind. She was truly one in a million. To have found someone like her that night... It had to have been fate. And now, he had to kill her.

In this light, he knew he looked familiar. He was there just hoping she recognised him. Hoping that she would trade in that favour. She was too innocent to die.

"Or you're to weak to kill."

Rowan heard Adrians mocking words, jeering at him, underestimating him.

Now, the knife was placed directly above the Princess' heart, barely touching the skin. His hand did not shake, but it took everything in him to make eye contact.

"Any.... Any last words?" It hurt him to say, but he could not give up the one last chance he had to spare her.

Arianna could feel the man's anger rise as people crowded in, and she pleasantly followed right behind them. She followed his movements as they danced, scooting forward a bit as she felt his hand go to her waist, not used to the male contact she was receiving. She had a soft smike on her lips, her pink thin lips giving a soft curve to them once she had finally gave enough courage to look back up at the man.

The girl jumped as she heard the sound of glass and screaming, making her press into the male since the noises scared her. She watched the groups split from each other and was about to tug the man along until she looked back to him and he had his dagger pulled out. She gasped and let Out a startled scream as she was pulled close to the knife, it dangling at her heart.

She looked up at him, her eyes watery and scared. As he asked her words, the female gulped and softly said so only the male could hear. "Rowan.. please.." The female had remebered him from the first encounter they had, having saved the man until his intruders had given up on him and he had said he'd repay her somehow one day.

Well today was that day she hoped. "Please Rowan.. don't do this!" the girl cried, her parents and the rest of the people being cornered by the others. "I'll do anything just please! Spare them and take me! I'll be your slave I'll so anything you want!" She cried once more, collapsing in his grip.

When she spoke his name, he was taken back. She remembered. He bit his lip, refusing to give her the satisfaction of his weakness. It only took that, and Arianna was saved. Adrian was right. Rowan was soft, weak. It took him a few seconds to respond, eyes closed tightly, his eyes moving rapidly under their lids.

"I can't do that." His usually monotone voice sounded... pained. He wasn't used to how weak even his voice was. It was quiet, shaky. He knew he couldn't. He could save Arianna herself, but never her whole family. More screams echoed around the room, making his grip on her back loosen, and move along to her wrist, tightening once more. She felt so small, so delicate in his grasp, like a doll. He let his eyes trail over her. Flawless. Beautiful. Inhaling sharply, as if decided, he revealed his thoughts to her.

"Your Highness," It was almost sarcastic. "I can save you. Your family however," He gestured to them with the dagger. "They can't be saved. You can join them six feet under, or join us."

Another round of screams. Her parents were dead. Any siblings, younger or older, cousins, uncles, aunts, grandparents - all dead. Rowan knew there would have been no way to have talked Adrian out of this. He was much too determined. It didn't matter now.

Blood decorated the walls, small, thin trickles leading to streams and puddles collecting on the floor. The stench of death filled the air, filling Rowans nostrils, however not affecting him. At first, when he was younger, Rowan hadn't been able to stand the smell, but now he had got used to it. Death didn't mean anything to him. With a swift move, his dagger was in his belt.

"You know what? I don't even care. You're coming along with me." He tugged her wrist, pulling her - somehow gently - over to Adrian, who was standing over the body of the king. He muttered a rude remark under his breath, scowl upon his face. The brothers couldn't look more different. Where Rowans hair was black, Adrians was silvery blonde, Rowans eyes were blue, Adrians were green. They were opposites in personality as well.

"Couldn't do it yourself, huh? You want me to kill the brat for you, that it?" Adrian asked, his voice low and gruff.

"No. She wants to join us."

The young girl looked up at thr male as he began to speak about eother joining her dead family or coming along with the assassin's. She gulped, about ot give an answer before she was being tugged along. The screams had finally seized, everyone in the room having been murdered by the group. She glanced around the room at the blood before looking at the the wo men who were infront of her.

'Brothers.' She thought to herself before glancing between the males as their words were exchanged. she bit her lip, looking up as her mascara had ran down her cheeks slightly From where she had been crying. It was comforting to know he atleast remebered the what night as well.

"I would be delighted to join you and the rest of your people." She yanked her wrist away from Rowans grip woth a soft glare, Not a Fiesty one but a challenging one. "I suppose your the leader." She said, eyes flickering over the male infront of her, taking a step toward him.

"I can get you big things. This kingdom can be yours, having your own ruling empire to do as you please with it." Despite her having cried earlier, her voice was confident. "You can take down the other kingdoms as well. Scare the peasants into believing your ways. Have a large army to help you take over this whole land." The woman said as she took another step toward him, eyes staring into his as she had a look that said I dare you.

Adrian looked down at her, the height difference quite shokcing, his face morphing into a look of amusement. His eyes sparkled, and teeth flashed in a smile, but not a friendly smile, no. It matched a smile of a shark.

"How about you? Our task was to kill you. Seeing as my idiot of a brother couldn't even manage that, we have to make you disappear. Fake your death. You up for that, Princess?" His stare was certainly intimidating enough to scare even the bravest of men. He almost laughed at her offerings. They didn't need that. They never stayed in the same place for long, so things like land were of no worth. Armies however. That was tempting. Adrian stood, silently debating, whilst Rowan stood behind Arianna, a worried expression on his pale face.

|| Sorry it's short, I'm in a bit of a rush! ||

((Don't worry your fine! :) ))

The girl had to look up at the male to be able to see his face, her height being short yes but her kicks and punches were easily hurtful. The girl looked up as he had the nerve to call her princess and not by her full name bit answered his question other wise. "Yes indeed I would. And your brother isnt an idiot, he's actually quite smart for himself," Arianna said as she places a hand on his shoulder, wondering if the older brother of the two knew about the night that happened exactly three years agO.

Arianna looked up at the males expression, reading his facial features easily. "Land is something you wouldn't want I can tell. But still I have no need for this castle if I'm going to be leaving or be dieing soon enough." The girl said with her hands now on her hips. "You could probably scare the peasants though. Some strong man who jusy took down an entire ballroom is surely enough to scare them into joining your group."

Rowan shrugged her hand off uncomfortably, muttering something about unwanted physical contact. He needed to know when he was going to be touched, and he couldn't stand being surprised by it. "Sorry..." He whispered. When Rowan was around his brother, his whole personality changed. It wasn't that he was scared, he just knew how capable he was.

"The Brotherhood needs to more members, Princess." The brother in question taunted again, watching her every reaction. "We just want fame, nothing more, nothing less." Adrian was still smirking as he stepped closer to her, and wiped a blood splatter from her cheek with his finger. He lifted his finger up to the light, as if examining the crimson liquid dripping down. Then, his eyes went back up to hers, and he kept eye contact as he licked his tongue over the finger, drinking the blood.

"You think your going to creep me out? Well you have a long way to go. I don't scare so easily." She smirked and put her hands on her waist before looking back at Rowan and giving a small nod to say it was fine. She then looked back at the man who had stepped closer to her and stood up, her heels making her seem taller just by a tiny bit. She wasn't scared easily as the books said, having seen plenty of wars in her life time, along with tons of blood come off their greatest warriors. She did give. So do smirk though when her cheek was touched and some blood was moved to his finger, eyeing the male infront of Her. "Looking for fame yes? Well fame is what your going to be receiving. You just knocked out and killed a whole ballroom of kings and queens. Nice job." She smirked.

Adrian sighed, clearly bored now.

"Yes, I do know of my achievements, I have no need of a Parrot to repeat them back to me. No need to be so cocky either..." Aridan muttered the last bit.

Rowan just rolled his eyes at him and his short attention span. He grumbled a little under his breath, walking over to stand next to his brother. Only when they were close could you see similarities: the face shape, the stature, build.

"Adrian. The others are waiting. It would be wise to return before they all start killing each other." Rowan advised his older brother, and the brother in question looked down at him, reading his facial reactions before nodding in agreement and turning back to the Princess.

"Come on, Princess. Time to meet your new family." Rowans voice hadn't lost its previous charm, but he face had lost its previous smirk.

The girl glared at the older brother, muttering something under her breath quietly, enough so only herself could hear. She glanced back at the other people when Rowan had began talking and looked back at the other two when she heard Princess. New family eh? She thought, her eyes soft and a small nod, not feeling like speaking to eother of the brothers at the moment. Her eyes had f added from her lake blue colored ones to her pine forest green ones, it being usual for her when they changed colors. Her eyes represented how she felt, each having a great deal of emotions in both colors.

Lake blue meant she was cocky as the other male had muttered, meaning she wasn't going to stand for this and to show her strong loyalty to the kingdom. But pine forest green meant different. Not much of a difference you could say, but one enough to tell. It was a sign she had backed down, showing she was beginning to get scared. she wasn't to know what to expect.

The girl gulped softly, her heart beat picking up it's pace. What if they kill me in my sleep? What if they never get to be okay woth me there? I've got no other place to run to...

Numerous thoughts like these flooded her head, making her green eyes appear more outstandingly one would say. She wasn't scared, but God did that Adrian boy have a certain aurora around him that made her want to run for it. But Rowan.. he seemed fine to her. Or atleast she hoped that's the way it would stay.
