Heya. So here is the plan.

Every post will feature several paragraphs of IC writing accompanied by an illustration (drawn by you). Kind of like this:

“War has changed. It's no longer about nations, ideologies, or ethnicity. The age of deterrence has become the age of control," she said.

This is open to artists of any skill level and artstyle, but limited to digital art only
(no photos of pencil drawings sorry).

As for the setting,

In this rp you play as a VR junkie traveling through the Wish - a virtual world that warps itself to suit desires of its inhabitants. Returning to the real world every morning is just a sacrifice you must take to sustain the fantasy.

Inside the Wish anything is possible. Servers give shape to fantastical places - landscapes of impossible geological formations, kingdoms and cities you could only ever visit in a dream.

Many users travel through these worlds in search of items - artifacts with wondrous abilities. The Wish generates them spontaneously and most are merely strange objects with quirky effects. Very rarely though, the effects can combine in ways that imbue these objects with great power. They highly sought after both in the Wish and the real world.

Since the early days of the wish there have been rumors of a special item. An artifact amongst artifacts. An object that could, uh, grant a wish but in the real world.

It is a such a silly little thing really. You never gave it much thought until you saw it on the news. They found a carcass of giant winged fish stuck between two buildings.

While the reporter was excitedly bouncing between theories of an unknown species and an alien invasion, you couldn't help but think that you had seen it before. It is called a sky whale and it is from the Wish.

So once again, you can draw in any artstyle you are comfortable with. I highly recommend to keep your character designs simple, but it's up to you really.
Every character sheet will need to include at least 3 depictions of your character.

- Close up of your character's face
- Full body front view (color)
- Full body back view (color)

Plus the usual cs stuff.

Post freq will depend on the group, but do warn us if you are not gonna be able to reply for more than a week.

What else... eh. Might set up a discord server for ooc.

Just a quick question, in the Wish, do our characters appear the same as they do in reality? Also is the real world the same as ours(modern) or more advanced/futuristic(flying cars/teleporters/lasers etc)?

Glad to hear that!

Most users of the wish look human. Some might have an artifact that changes the way they look: A glove that turns your hand into tentacle, a headband that gives you cat ears or a helmet that halves your height. Stuff like that.

(limiting that to one physical alteration per character at the start. If you want something crazier, ask me and Ill probably ok it)

The real world is near future. Things are similar to the way they are now but tech is a bit more advanced. I might post a paragraph or two on that later.

Mmm, lets see. The only real rule for that is that we need to be able to understand what is going on.

- Color and shading are not required!
- Sketches are fine but try to remove your guidelines (and any shapes that help you draw your poses)

"You can have any number of items - ordinary objects with simple functions (clothes, armor, metal weapons, simple guns etc.). And then you can have one artifact - a special item that can do unusual things like magic and stuff. I will post more details in the CS thread later."

I may be interested! I mainly do traditional art because it's more convenient for me, but slower post times and a tiny bit of lower quality (I'm... Not that good with digital xD) shouldn't be too bad hehe~
Edit- Are some chibis allowed as well? Sometimes it's easier for me to portray something using chibis :')

If you can scan your artwork and make it look clean, that's alright too (but I imagine that will be a lot of extra work). Chibis are ok but I also recommend to watch out for the mood of the scene ^^

((Another little thing, I find it easier to upload pictures on my phone and type things out on my computer, so I may not have the pictures up the second I post my reply, but I’ll probably send up the pictures relatively quickly.. should I just do it all on my computer though?)

Aye, I like your artstyle (even if you say you don't have one) but Id prefer if you at least put it through a levels filter and limited the width of your images (its huuuge on pc : D ). I see you've joineed ooc, gonna talk to you about it there.
