"It doesn't matter about your childs gender. After all their your flesh and blood. You'd die to protect them, would you not?" Daniils lips curving into a smile

"Of course I would," said Cecilia. "But I'm sure many men would rather die to protect their sons than their daughters."

"It doesn't matter to me. If someone does anything to my family... well im a man who'd make them regret it" he said with a slight frown, creasing his brow.

"I'm the same way," said Cecilia. "I may very rarely get along with Mummy and Daddy, but I love them both dearly."

"Me and my father... have never been very close. My mother, really has been my constant support. My father lost hope when i didn't want to go into buisness, so he spends more time with my younger brother." He said, the frown lessening.

"I've never really been close to either of my parents," said Cecilia, "and I don't have any brother's or sisters, so Papa's leaving the business to my cousin. The only one I've every really been close to is my aunt, though I rarely ever see her."

"Well my brother through all the attention, has become quite the brat. The rest of my family, have all joined the colonies in India and Africa. Not to mention... me and my brother absolutely hate eachother. He may be getting the buisness, but i will always be the oldest" He said with a smirk

Cecilia let out a small giggle.


"I think it'd be nice to go into Daddy's business," said Cecilia. "I've even studied a few books about business. But Daddy won't hear having me go into business."

"Im sure you'd be highly capable of running a buisness" he said truthfully, with his handsome smile.

"You're the only man I've met who has faith in a woman running a business," said Cecilia, smiling brightly.

"Blame it on my mothers suffragette bringing up. She used to take me to her meetings and marches" he laughed

 

[SandraDeelightful]

"I wish my mother believed in that," said Cecilia, with a far off look on her face.

"Im sure, one day she'll realise that the suffragette movement is a blessing to females. By respecting woman, men will have a load lifted off their backs and who knows what woman could invent with free reign?" He said comfortingly

Cecilia smiled.


"Finally," she said, "someone who understands."

"There are others. Your not alone. " he smiled back

Cecilia looked at him and smiled.


"I know," she said simply.

"Good" was his reply. He looked at the afternoon sun, as it started to set. "Maybe its time to get you back"

Cecilia masked her disappointment well.


"All right," said Cecilia.

Daniil smiled "I'll walk you home" he offered

"Very well," said Cecilia with a smile.

He offered his arm with a mischievous look in his eyes "Shall we then?"

Cecilia's eyes had the same mischievous look in them.


"We shall," said Cecilia.

He started forward in the direction of her house, his stride military like after all some parts of the military training and actions where hard to get rid of

Cecilia looked at him, smiled and let out a small giggle.


"I can definitely tell you were in the military," said Cecilia.

He laughed "Some habits... just stick. Im not sure if thats a good thing or bad"
