Arranged Marriage (Closed)

Dylan had spent many hours prepping. Today was a special day. He and his family would be gathering at his Fiancé's home. Following tradition, his family and hers were arranging an arranged marriage for them both. He was rather nervous, and didn't know whether he wanted to, but went along with the family tradition anyhow.


His family was greeted by his fiancés mother, and were invited inside.

Aria sat on the couch, nervous. It had been a family tradition to be wed to Dylan's family, and she didn't want to disappoint them.


She greeted his family with a comforting smile and her mother signalled them to sit down.

 

[Narumi]

Dylan wanders over to the couch and say down, he fiddles with his thumbs nervously and glanced down as he mutters to himself. So far the family seemed friendly and warm, pretty decent. He would have much preferred to have the time to find someone to marry by himself, and not have someone choose whom he will spend the rest of his life with for him.

Aria looks down, afraid to say something in-case she made a mistake. She didn't even know him and she was being forced to spend the rest of her life with him. Her mother gave the family a comforting look, 'She's not usually this quiet, I assure you.'.

 

[Narumi]

Dylan watches as his family and hers stood up to take a tour of the house, leaving the two alone. He watches as they leave and looks up to her, staring her up and down.

Blushes and stares at him and looks away quickly, biting her lip.

 

[Narumi]

Dylan decided that he may as well say something and smiles lightly. "Hey" He says.

Aria looks up and Dylan and tries her best to smile, "Hey...".

 

[Narumi]

"Are you nervous?" He asks, trying to make conversation.

 

[RoyallyCaitlin]

"Yes...everyone expects so much of me - of us." She sighs.

 

[Narumi]

He nods lightly in agreement. For a guy, he was rather shy and didn't say anything after that, instead he stood up and wanders around, looking at some photos and ornaments.
