Ara's Kpop, Asian Drama, Anime Interests
Hello All, I'm Ara and I’m looking for some semi-literate to literate MxM Kpop and/or Asian Drama / Anime Rp’s .
I’m an idea person so I have a million ideas depending on which coupling you pick or if you want to do originals. I will share them with those who are interested once they tell me which couple they’d like to roleplay.
Check the tabs for Shows/Pairings I’d like to play in.
If you are Interested in roleplaying with me let me know and we'll talk details.
At the moment I will only roleplay on this site.
- I am over 21 and I have slightly over a decade of role playing experience.
~ I don’t double since I feel that it creates an imbalance in interest. I prefer playing a couple or couples (MxM only) in one thread that myself and my rp partner can fan over and enjoy together, giving attention to any character we decide to play and their romantic interest.
~ I also prefer when groups or multiple couples can be formed that we divvy up characters and play multiple characters in the one thread. It helps move the plot and is really fun in my opinion! I also like throwing NPC’s and whatnot for realism. You can see some of this in my Rp Example tab.
~ I really like the chase, even more so than the relationship since I can get bored unless a relationship has a really amazing spin to it. I also prefer love x hate most of all, so I’d like an rp partner who doesn’t want the relationship to happen right away, although there can obviously be attraction and fighting said attraction as early as you want lol.
~ Depending on the topic I can end up writing a lot, some people like this, others are intimidated by it. I don’t need someone to write exactly as much as I do mind you, although I do expect 3+ paragraphs most of the time, unless you are amazing at getting your point across in less. Some characters are more internal and others are not. I just want my partner to be passionate about the coupling / thread with me and if my character asks questions or does things a response to those things that’s all. If you tend to write a lot too I obviously won’t mind though, since I may do it to.
~ I love comedy and romance most. Lighthearted, fairytale, fun situations, driving my characters crazy or embarassing them are kind of my thing. I am quite willing to incorporate drama but I don't enjoy very dark things or constant angst so I won't play very tragic, angsty, or horror driven threads. But fun, romance, and definitely comedy are my style.
~ I enjoy chatting by DM and talking roleplay. I don’t expect a post a day, but if you are not going to post for a while please let me know and give me an estimate of when you believe you’ll be back. My schedule is pretty insane but I usually can slip in roleplays pretty quickly and if I can’t I’ll let you know why with the same courtesy ^^.
~ If you like any of these I’d love to roleplay or even just chat about these shows if you haven’t the time for a full out one. I love talking asian dramas and kpop especially. ^^

Not Currently Looking for:

- Book x Frame, (Prefer Frame)
- Boom x Peak
- Tharntype –
- Tharn x Type (I prefer Type, but am willing to try either)
- Champ x Techno
- For Kpop:
I am most comfortable and interested Original Kpop Groups.
~ Original – Our own Kpop Group. I also would love to do an original Kpop group. We can use face claims from kpop or actors and make our own kpop group. I have a plot idea for this so let me know.
Otherwise I would not mind roleplaying BTS. When I do I like to play the whole group and pair most of them up because its more fun and helps further plots along.
BTS Members that I’m confident in playing: Yoongi, Namjoon, Seokjin, Jimin, Jungkook.
Ones I’m more nervous trying: Hoseok and Taehyung.
~ BTS Pairings: I’m obsessed with Namjin, but the others are quite negotiable.
If we do something like a school or organization and want to add more members I’m good at playing Jeonghan from Seventeen, Jackson from Got7, Minhyuk from Monster X, and can try others if they come up.
That being said I love to use Kpop group members and play AU’s and sometimes crossovers, check out the Thread Ideas tab for some possibilities.
Not Currently Looking for but I have also played:
SHINee
SHINee members that I’m comfortable playing are: Key, Minho, Taemin.
I can’t play Onew and I’m uncomfortable playing Jonghyun (I’m never sure if its more rude to play him or to leave him out of it, so we’d have to discuss this).
~ SHINee Pairing: Minho x Taemin, otherwise I’m fine with whatever.
For Anime: (I prefer Asian Dramas and Kpop to Anime but here are a few I will do / Could get into)
- Naruto –
- ~ Kakashi x Iruka
- ~ Kiba x Neji
- ~ Gaara x Neji
- Kaichou wa Maid-sama –
- ~ Shôichirô Yukimura x Sōtarō Kanō
- Ouran High School Host Club –
- Tamaki x Kyoya
Thread Ideas
There are some couples, particularly those in the Asian Drama section that I have some ideas for already, if they are chosen I will talk to you via pm about them and we can decide there. But for some general ideas I thought I’d show some of my current rp interests:
Main Crossover ideas:
~ At Hogwarts! - I also am obsessed with Harry Potter’s Hogwarts as much as Asian Dramas, Kpop, and Anime so I am fine with putting any one of these couples or even original asian characters into Hogwarts.
~ For groups: As a Host Club (in school like Ouran High School Host Club)
AU’s:
~ Kpop or Asian Drama characters as Hwarangs
~ Ancient gods
~ Yakuza/ Mafia vs Police Style
~ Opposing Royal Kingdoms
~ Vampires vs Werewolves
~ Omegaverse
~ Family (As in the maknae line are kids and two single fathers may come together if BTS or so, as fake or real parents like with the show Hello Baby, etc..)
~ Arranged Marriages
~ High School / College (regular, boarding, private, etc.. Older ones can be upper classman or professors)
~ Kpop pair ups / variety shows
~ Kpop group: for original characters or asian drama characters (haha imagine Hwarang as a kpop group and BTS or something as Hwarang XD, that sort of thing)
~ Shipped version of We Got Married
~ Ceo Son x Rival Ceo Son (one or both perhaps under cover)
~ Ceo son x Delinquent
~ Historical – Emperor / Prince with Historian, Scholar, Doctor, Fake Eunuch, Male hiding as female, whichever
~ Time travel – (like Rooftop Prince, where a prince and his guards end up in the modern world and are helped by people living in modern seoul, etc…)
~ Shifters
~ Actor X Actor or model or director, etc...
- As Disney Characters or with Disney-esque plots
- Fairytale Plots [like a retelling of Fairytales ex. Taehyung as the Frog and Jungkook as the princess from the Princess and the Frog, etc...]
- Pirate x Pirate / Kidnapped Royal / Soldier / etc...
- Superheroes (original powers or they are other heroes ex. Jungkook as Spiderman, etc...) x Superheroes or Villians
~ Etc…
I also have ideas for most of these beyond just the pairing so if you pick one we can talk it over.
If we chat I can likely come up with more, but these are good for now. If you have any ideas let me know and I'll let you know if I'm up for it.

OC's for Kpop Group:
Leader / Rapper – Name: Kim Ki Moon, Stage Name: Ki-Crush
Playby: Yoon Shi Yoon - actor
Age: 23
Sexuality: Bisexual, but starts out in denial.
Languages: Korean and English
Personality - Ki is a very supportive leader who takes work very seriously and is generally able to be a peacemaker. He has a gift for finding the gifts in others and making them work. There are many different facets of his personality. He tends to embrace the cooler, more rapper-esque side of him more, but on occasion his cute side slips through. Somewhere between business-like and playful this loveable rapper knows how to have fun, but also where to draw the line. He’s very protective of those close to him, especially his group, which he views as more family than business partners, once he gets to know them.
Most people’s first impressions of Ki are that he can be a bit intimidating, but that is because he internalizes and analyzes a lot. It also doesn’t help that he has a bit of a rebellious nature, which is why despite going along well about some things, he still does things he probably shouldn’t, like ride a motorcycle when he needs to clear his head. But image wise he’s the ‘bad boy rapper’ type that the company wanted. Despite this he is still very kind by nature and has a great way of helping dispel tension.
A key flaw of his is that he tends to internalize and blame himself even for things out of his own control. Sometimes he’s able to channel this into making music, and other times he has to do something just to get rid of the tension. He doesn’t like talking about his feelings, preferring if he didn’t have any, so he tends to get into some trouble when he’s like this, unless he can figure out another outlet, like boxing or riding most of the time. He sees mostly the good in people so sometimes he ends up being friends with the wrong types of people or being taken advantage of. But he wouldn’t let that happen to the people he cares about, he only accepts if it’s happening to him.
History – Despite always wanting a younger sibling, Ki Moon was the youngest for quite some time before it actually happened. His parents seemed to be fond of leaving age gaps between their children. So his elder brother was five years older, but his sister didn’t show up until twenty years later.
His brother was the golden boy at school during his time, and although he doted on Ki Moon, he also made it hard for him without meaning to. Teachers always expected that Ki Moon would be just like his brother, but since he knew he couldn’t beat his brother’s scores at school he didn’t try. While he was in elementary school he got into sports, particularly Taekwondo and Kick Boxing. He was good enough that he got attention for that, and since his brother hadn’t cornered the market, he managed to stick with it throughout school.
But in High School although he still did sports he was able to get along with a lot of different people. Some of which were the kind that most of society would consider unsavory, but Ki could see the good in them. He got into the rebellious look and fell in love with rapping and American street culture at that time. He began to take his English studies in earnest and listened to English music, while also getting into mopeds, which would later develop into Motorbikes. He loved the drop of the beat, the flow of the words, and the more he understood of lyrics the more he felt they were poetry to music. In short, Ki was hooked.
With his cool persona, charismatic nature, fighting abilities, and natural born leadership abilities, Ki became the leader of his little rebel group. But he never wanted to hurt anyone weaker than him and in fact, generally used his status to scare off people doing bad things whenever he saw it. He wouldn’t tolerate bullying, but of course he had to know it was actually happening and believe it.
His brother and parents began to get worried around the time that he started to stay out later and they realized just who Ki Moon was bringing home. They urged him to stop making unsavory friends, but he defended them saying they were just misunderstood. His older brother, who half the time acted like a second father…or mother, was especially concerned, not wanting Ki to get hurt. But Ki believed in people and because of it some people became better people for it, but he was not prepared for the betrayal of some who weren’t.
One day a few members of his group decided that they wanted a more dangerous leader. So a few of them got together and cornered Ki Moon on his way home alone. Ki was a good fighter, but he was not someone who generally condoned hitting friends, and the group took advantage. They beat him and called him names as they did it. Things Ki Moon shut out due to fear and anger. He toughed it out, allowing himself to be hit and only bothering to guard his head. The next day a new leader was named. Those loyal to Ki left the main group and joined with him, but he no longer wanted to be the leader of the group. But he ended up leading a larger group through the years due to his tenacity.
His older brother had wanted to sue the boys who attacked his younger brother, but Ki refused to name them. Despite the betrayal he didn’t want to stand in the way of their futures. And despite everything he still trusted wholeheartedly, which did get him into trouble from time to time, but also got him benefits as well.
He calmed down a little when his sister was born and he helped his parents take care of her. He treated her like his and was glad to finally be an older brother. But he also used that time to hone his skills.
When he gave up being the leader of the original group, Ki and some of his most loyal friends became a band. He began to write lyrics and raps, perform them on stages or in the streets, and became quite known at his school for it. Eventually he was seen by a talent agent at a bar. At first he refused to audition or be signed without his bandmates, but his friends insisted that they’d always done it for him anyway and practically made him try out. He did, his cool looks and amazing rapping ability got the attention of the judges, who signed him on as soon as possible.
His brother took the role of his agent and checks all of his contracts, having become a lawyer at a fairly young age. If every Ki is in trouble his older brother seems to have a sick sense about it and wants to personally deal with it, which may be how Ki ended up trying to hide such things in the first place. But now he’s somewhat out from under his brother’s thumb, and he plans to make full use of it. But of course, he also plans to occasionally sneak his sister into the dorms to watch her. He really is a softy inside after all.
Fears – Hurting the people he loves, something happening to his family, betrayal, failing, not being in control of himself, hitting friends, etc…
Likes – The good in others, his little sister, his bandmates, rap, Hip hop, looking cool, motorcycles, adrenaline rushes, boxing, Taekwondo, his friends, ramen, etc…
Dislikes – Accusations, when people are being judged by their looks, shallow lyrics, disrespect, harm to children, women, or the elderly, his own weaknesses, fighting between friends, regrets, words you can’t take back, the part of him that he hides even from himself, etc…

Dancer / Performer / Visual – Name: Phassakorn Anurak – Nickname: Pha or Korn
Playby: Max Nattapol Diloknawarit - Thai Actor
Age: 23
Sexuality: Homosexual
Languages: Thai, Korean, English
Personality - Phassakorn is an actor by nature, so his personality is a bit strange. When it comes to work he takes it very seriously, but he can play just as hard.
If roles were assigned to kpop groups he would probably be the older brother type. He is very protective of those he gets close with and has the muscles to back it up. He is fairly good at sports due to his build, but he can also be a bit clumsy when he’s in a goofy mood so it’s not a guaranteed win by any means. He is able to charm in many ways and has no problem with fan service whatsoever, often thinking up new ways to excite fans, which may be partially from his bl background to be honest. He is kind and caring, but despite his muscles can also get sensitive about things, which causes him to withdraw for a time. He is not particularly quick to anger, but once he is angry it is a site to behold.
When it comes to relationships he is a romanticist and believes that everyone has someone, which is why it is very hard for him to break away from relationships. In fact, he is a bit clingy even after it is over and it takes him a long time to heal. It would be impossible for him to cheat unless it was by force. It’s just not in his nature and he loves so deeply that he couldn’t give that much of himself away without being hurt by it as well.
Overall Pha is the cool older brother type, with big muscles and a heart to match. He can be rather clingy and possessive though, so those who crave freedom above all else would not find him a good match.
History – Originally from Thailand, Phassakorn Anurak studied at a performing arts school as soon as he was old enough. He loved two things more than anything, acting and dancing. He built his body up for both purposes as he studied multiple forms of dance including hip hop, traditional, ballet, and really any class that he could enter. Unfortunately there was not much call in Thailand for dancers, so although he loved it he had to do it as a pastime instead.
Turning his focus to acting worked out however. Right out of school he began his career as many Thai male actors do acting in Thai Bl dramas and quickly became so popular with his co-star nicknamed Knock that he became worldwide famous. Eventually on screen life mixed with real life and he started to secretly date his co-star, although due to the nature of Thai acting he didn’t have to hide persay, but he couldn’t outright admit it without implications to his career. Even in Thailand that kind of admission was a big no no. Eventually they both got busy and his boyfriend got scared they’d be found out so they broke up, but they still managed to stay friends and Pha was still very much attached to his first love.
Then turning point in Pha’s career came when he was invited to audition for a kpop group. They had heard him sing a little on his drama OST and they liked his looks and had heard about his background in dancing. Kpop was an up and coming scene and would make him even more famous in Thailand whether it worked out or not, and he would get to add more dance skills to his life, so he agreed. He went to the audition and showed off his dancing skills thus far. They asked him to sing some, and he felt he could do chorus work, but didn’t think he was good enough to be a vocalist. His rapping was also subpar. But thanks to his dancing, slight singing ability, and his body, he was in. Now he has moved to Korea and is ready to meet his bandmates.
Fears: Women who are attracted to him, dying alone, fire, that he will be caught as gay and thrown out of all entertainment industries or blackmailed, being turned down after falling in love, something bad happening to his loved ones, etc…
Likes: Chocolate, Korn, Dancing, attractive looking men, American superheroes, homemade meals, protecting his friends and family, spoiling maknaes, learning new things, etc..
Dislikes: Bigotry, sexism, bullying, rudeness, etc…

Vocalist / Performer – Name: Choi Ho-jun
Playby: Park Hyungsik – Actor and from ZE:A
Age: 22
Sexuality: Bisexual
Languages: Korean, English, some Spanish
Personality - Jun is a very responsible and hard working guy. He is so used to working from a young age that he doesn’t tire easily. He is pretty intelligent, enjoying reading in his spare time. He’s interested in strong personalities and fun people. Having a lot of life experience at a young age, he can come across as older than his age. He’s a caring guy and hasn’t really made time for relationships, preferring survival to hormones. Still, he has been attracted to both genders, aesthetically speaking. He can be a tease however, and playful when he's in the right mood. He can be a bit of a diva about things though.
History – Unlike a lot of other trainees and kpop members, Jun did not pick to be in a Kpop group because of fame or to follow a dream. He did it because of financial issues. His family had not been very well off to begin with, but they had usually managed. Jun was a bright child and exceeded in his studies, but didn’t have any particular interest in the performing arts. His mom liked to put the radio on though and he would sing along with her in the kitchen and around the house when he helped out with chores. He was told quite often that he was handsome, but he didn’t think much of it until things at home got worse.
Around the beginning of High School his father was laid off and was unable to bounce back. Jun’s family which included his parents, an older sister, a younger sister, and himself had barely been able to make ends meat for a while. As a growing boy Jun couldn’t take the lack of food more than anything. They each were eating like birds, but he was also too proud to ask his friends for food, so he began to use the little knowledge he had of music to sing songs on the street and collect money. Eventually this lead to learning the guitar which he borrowed from a friend, and then the piano at school, and by the time High School was over he was making quite a few bucks from it.
At first he gave the money to his parents, but his dad began to misuse some of it. His mom bought food, but more and more bottles of alcohol piled up and eventually Ho-jun put his older sister in charge of the part of it for groceries, and began to make an account in her name and one in his own. He knew his mom would end up giving it to his dad, and his dad was currently beaten down by life and thus not making the right decisions.
After High School, which he’d paid for himself he knew he didn’t have enough money to essentially support his family and go to college. Some of his friends at school convinced him to try to become a model, so he went for it and did that for a time. But the modeling was freelance, so it wasn’t consistent and didn’t get him quite enough for his family to live off of comfortably. But they got by between that and his singing.
One day while he was out on the street singing a talent agent handed him a card and asked for him to audition for X company. At first he turned it down, thinking that Idols do not make tons of money and he has a family to feed, but he put it in his pocket to be polite. When he got home he overheard his parents arguing. His father was angry and Ho Jun could smell the liquor from down the hall. He was glad his younger sister wasn’t there, because he didn’t like her seeing such things although she was only a few years younger than him. But soon he wished he had not been there because his father told his mother that if they had less mouths to feed then everything would be alright. Said he found some work, but there were too many of them and he wished there would be fewer. His older sister was working hard trying to scrape enough money to get herself through college to become something of herself and his younger sister was only in High School. He knew who his father meant anyway, even though he had helped with finances he’d always gotten the feeling that his father resented him for it.
He checked the internet for the legitimacy of the talent agent, called the company, and set up an audition. Somehow he managed to squeak through and ended up on RI8T with seven other members. Idols were not paid much, but he was smart enough to have a decent contract, and at the very least he was promised food, drink, transportation, and housing, so all in all it wasn’t a horrible deal. But no matter what happened he would probably always be nervous about money, as most people in his place would probably agree.
Fears: Poverty, starvation, getting kicked out of the group/ company, becoming an alcoholic, being unwanted, etc…
Likes: Money, food (and he’s not picky about it), presents, feeling wanted, etc…
Dislikes: Rich people problems, alcohol (which is difficult in Korea), too much fighting, etc…

Vocalist / Visual / Maknae– Name: Moon Young Hee
Playby: Yoon Jeonghan (From Seventeen)
English Name: Yo
Age: 19
Sexuality: Homosexual
Languages: Korean and English, although he can say hello and I love you in multiple languages
Personality - Young Hee is a bit of a prince or princess. Since young he has been spoiled since his family pretty much treated him as not only the baby, but the girl they never had. He hides parts of himself even though he gives the appearance of being very open. A flirt, Young Hee will pretty much tease and seduce to get what he wants. If he realizes that won’t work then he’ll turn the cute act or helpless act. He has a weak body due to being spoiled too much and due to childhood illness.
He often acts as a prince or princess. He also pulls a great angel act, even though he’s more like a mischievous fairy then an angel. Despite his looks he hates his real weaknesses showing so he hides a lot of himself.
In love he would be adorable and possessive. He is used to getting what he wants so he’d also be petulant and high maintenance. He would definitely flirt and pull stunts for attention as well, but he’d also leave cute notes and want to give his love a lot of surprises.
There is a vulnerable part to him that he hides with bravado. But all he wants ultimately is for everyone to have fun in his presence and give him things of course. Time, objects, attention, and more than all of it love.
History – At the time of his birth Young Hee’s parents desperately wanted a girl. They’d had boys already and everything pointed to a little princess, but when the time came their darling Moon Young Hee ended up as a boy. Yo’s parents were disappointed at first, but the baby was so beautiful that they decided that he was just as good. From then on Young Hee was spoiled and pretty much dressed as a girl until it was time for him to go to school. His older brothers didn’t know what to make of it at first, but since Yo was so cute they eventually decided that it was fine and became protective of him. Especially after he had some health battles when he was young.
Not that many people attempted to bully Young Hee when he was young. In fact it was quite the opposite. His beautiful looks made him popular, with boys and girls alike, until about puberty and he was beginning to make people uncomfortable. He wore whatever he wanted when he wanted, which sometimes included the female uniform, rarely did people mess with him due to his father being very powerful and his own charisma. But with puberty came bullying for a time. Guys who hated the idea of being attracted to another guy began to take it out on him. His father and brothers intervened sometimes, but Young Hee began to feel like something was wrong with him. He stopped wearing whatever he wanted, but still couldn’t bring himself to cut his hair. So he somehow muddled through for a time, wondering if his interests in guys were such a bad thing and deciding to take vocal and dance lessons in his free time. Eventually when he was old enough his parents begrudgingly sent him overseas to a performance school in New York, America.
In America, or New York rather, things were different. People around him didn’t care whether he was gay or not, so a little bit more of himself came out. But he still feared dressing up as he once did, so he put that away for now. But he did embrace his androgyny and used it to his advantage. Although he was not attracted to women, he still knew how to talk to them, if anything they liked him better than many of his friends. He learned to manipulate to get what he wanted and was once again pampered and spoiled. Men were better at it then women. Men were used to paying for dates if they were the aggressor. Yo liked that and casually did whatever he wanted for some years while learning to sing, dance, and perform. He was best at singing and got quite the reputation for being something of an Angel – his face and voice. Although he was more mischievous than such a nickname would suggest.
Eventually he modeled with some friends and his pictures got out into the public. X entertainment saw them and asked him to come audition. He decided that although he wasn’t about to shout his preferences to the rooftop, maybe he could help someone else that had been like him if he became an Idol. He agreed, returned to Korea, and preformed a song for his audition. They called him back the next day. He was in.
Fears/ Embarrassments: People finding out about his past/ having to dress up as a girl for fan service and having people find out he doesn’t hate it, heights, isolation, being ignored, people leaving, etc…
Likes: Attention, his hair, being spoiled, the finer things in life, compliments, cats, dressing up, teasing other members, flirting, etc…
Dislikes: Bullies, not getting his way, haters, etc…

Playby: Byeon Woo Seok
Stage Name: Jack
Real Name: Jung Yong-Sun
Nickname(s): Appomma (Because he’s like both a Father and Mother)
English Name: Jack
Date of Birth: October 31st, 1999 (Earth Rabbit, Scorpio)
Age: 25
Nationality: Korean
Languages: Korean, English
Orientation: Homosexual
Position in Group: Leader, Main Rapper
Personality:
Jack is very much like a parent. Being both the oldest at home and the leader of the group he is a very responsible person. But he’s also sensitive. Like most parents sometimes he’s good at putting his foot down and other times he can be lead somewhat by the nose. He’s weak to weakness and cuteness, but also sometimes spots it for what it is and if so then he won’t budge no matter what you do.
When push comes to shove Jack on average comes through, but at the very least he will go to bat for the people he cares about. He takes his role very seriously and does his best to be a go between for his group and the company, generally via the manager. He often looks like a cool guy, but he also has something of a glass heart, and is pretty sensitive, even though he does his best to hide it.
History:
Jung Yong-Sun or Jack grew up as the eldest son in a lower middle class family. Having three younger siblings naturally to begin with, he was quite used to chaos by the time he ended up in his own kpop group, and in fact, he actually can’t take order so he’s right at home in most entertainment industries.
Growing up Jung Yong-Sun was introduced to rap, pop, and hip hop at a fairly early age thanks to having a friend that transferred from America. While a lot of kids in his class didn’t know what to make of the other boy, Jung Yong Sun decided to befriend him. Because the boy was originally unfamiliar with a lot of the Korean language he gave Jung Yong Sun the nickname Jack, which JYS keeps even now.
Jack and his American friend Ben became best friends and did a lot of culture sharing. So while Jack got Ben hooked on Bulgogi, Ben got Jack hooked on Hip Hop. Thanks to Ben Jack was often at the forefront of the American music scene and he also learned a decent amount of English.
Ben’s family was wealthy so when Ben went back to America they even paid for Jack to come visit during his break.
But sadly as time went on, it became difficult to keep in touch. Jack eventually became forlorn over it, only realizing a while later that Ben was likely his first love, but not having the guts to tell the other so, and feeling it didn’t matter much since they were fairly estranged.
Jack turned his pain into productivity as he began to learn and write music. He skipped classes and busked for a bit in late middle school and early high school, until some of his school friends convinced him to go on auditions.
He did so, and although he was turned down by a couple of the major companies, he was eventually scouted by View. He trained until he was picked as a member, and was even made the leader by the time it was time to debut.
Dreams: To become so famous that his first love Ben hears his song and realizes his feelings, even if they never meet again, and to take care of his group and reach as far and high as they can.
Fears: Silence, Ghosts, Goodbyes, Forever, the Future, etc…
Embarrassments: Public crying, Fan Service, Flirting, Red ears, etc…
Likes: Chaos, Noise, his family members (home and business), spicy food, coffee, cars, etc…

- Being calm, cool, and collected in chaotic environments.
- Deep understanding of human psychology.
- Great cultural understanding, particularly about America due to his first love.

- Too Softhearted.

Playby: Joshua of Seventeen aka Hong Jisoo
Stage Name: Si / Simon aka Song Lim
Real Name: Lim Song-Jin
English Name: Si (said Sci) / Simon
Date of Birth: December 12, 2001 (Metal Snake, Sagittarius )
Age: 23
Nationality: Korean American
Languages: English, Korean
Orientation: Confused – Originally believed he was Straight, but after Fan Service he’s left unsure. (Eventually Bi)
Position in Group: Dancer, Entertainer, Vocalist
Personality: Song-Jin is a pretty complex character, but upon first appearance he comes off as sweet, energetic, dramatic, and bubbly and he is those things sometimes, but like everyone he also has his more introspective sides and can be emotionally self destructive at times.
Song-Jin is a perfectionist, who has a decent amount of talents but if he feels he can’t do something perfectly he’d rather give it up. He can be mischievous at times, in the right company, but overall despite acting like a total rebel, he’s really a good man at heart who’s let his previous home-life issues take up too much of his life focus.
Despite the fact that he’s very sensitive, on average within his group he brings energy, fun, laughter, and mischievousness. He might drive some people crazy with his endless energy and plots and plans, but if anyone ever needs him if they know him well enough they know that he’ll come through for them, even if it’s 4 am on the night of a concert or flight, because Song Jin is exceptionally Loyal.
History:
Lim Song-Jin aka Song spent most of his childhood in America in business middle to upper class family until his father got transferred back to Korea when he was ten years old. Although he was originally considered pretty smart in his school in America, Korean schools were exceptionally different causing him to flounder for a while and his mother to worry and his father to start getting annoyed with him.
Simon thought it was lucky for his father that Song Jin had an older sister and eventually a younger brother, for his father to fall back on. And to be fair the younger brother really was more mature than him on average despite being quite a bit younger than Song-Jin.
In the beginning Song-Jin worked hard to adapt to the new environment and especially the new school, but with his father constantly yelling at him at home as if he was rebelling and the students around him looking to him like robots, Simon eventually gave up on that idea. If he was being treated as a rebel, than he might as well act like one he figured.
After that Song-Jin moved his originally anxious energy into productive energy. He joined the archery and then basketball team until his grades revoked him of those rights, then he decided to put together dance group with some of his friends.
Having lived in America Lim Song-Jin had learned quite a few dances in the heart of some of the biggest places of hip hop legend. He’d always enjoyed dancing, but had mainly just done it for fun when he was younger and more studious, due to not wanting to disappoint his father at the time. Now that disappointing his father was inevitable he decided to jump right in to it.
Eventually he and his dance group began performing on the streets and being recorded by various people. Of his group Simon was still the most eye catching. He had endless energy and loved to do his best to defy physics and gravity. Thanks to this people urged him and some of his group members to go try out at various companies.
Originally though Song-Jin actually went to the auditions more as support for his friend, but surprisingly he ended up as a trainee for View Entertainment.
Dreams: To Defy his father and defy gravity.
Fears: Goodbyes, Homelessness (although his siblings would never let it happen anyway), needles, Moving, Change, etc…
Embarrassments: Tripping, Falling, Fan Service, Aegyo, etc…
Likes: Heights, Roller Coasters, Bread, Flirting, Sports, etc…
Dislikes: Coffee, Awkwardness, Silence, etc…
Pros:
- Exceptionally High-Energy
- Talented Dancer.
- Can pull off both Cute and Sexy styles.
- His natural abilities / talents.
- His helpful nature.
- His flirting when he’s not embarrassed about it.
- Loyal.
Cons:
- Gives up easily when he’s not initially great at something.
- A Perfectionist.
- Easily embarrassed.
- Weird Sleep schedule / Habits.
- A bit Dramatic.
- Too Sensitive.
- Goes out of his way to make his Father ashamed of him at this point.
- Emotionally Self- Destructive.
- Doesn’t take criticism well.

Playby: Dex aka Kim Jin Young
Name: Kim Min-jae (김민재)
Nickname: Manager-nim
Job: Manager
Date of Birth: June 4, 1994 (Wood Dog, Gemini)
Age: 30
Nationality: Korean
Languages: Korean, English, a little Spanish
Orientation: Bi
Personality: Kim Min-jae is a pretty serious person with a hard working down to earth personality. Although he can joke upon occasion, particularly with sarcasm and wit, he takes his job and his role seriously.
History: Growing up Kim Min-jae came from a lower middle class family, who put less emphasis on school work than the average Korean household and more on hard work, despite his mother being a teacher by profession. Min-jae even went along with his father to a couple construction site jobs as a kid and tried his hand at it to the point the year after graduation to make a few bucks while he tried to figure out what his dreams were until a talent scout spotted him and his good looks and tried to recruit him. Min-jae took the information, but surprised the talent scout by not showing up for auditions, but rather for any open positions. The talent scout tried to convince him at the time, but he wouldn’t budge. Because of this Min-jae went back to construction work for a while until eventually View Entertainment hired him on as a camera man / driver / then errand runner for a couple of years, and finally they eventually gave him a shot to be the manager of Picture Perfect.
As an only child Min-jae got a lot of attention from his parents, but was also somewhat isolated. Most of his friends had siblings and he didn’t so he couldn’t relate to those kinds of things. Due to this he is mostly an introvert, but he always wanted siblings. Because he got enough attention at home he was actually not too fond of it in school or elsewhere. Due to his good looks he was popular just existing, so although he was pretty sporty and had wanted to join the basketball team he was already getting too much attention just sitting in class so he gave it up.
As time went on, and friends started making career plans, Min-jae was pretty stumped on a life plan. When he heard others being so passionate all he could ever think was that he loved to see that passion and rather than find out his own career he wanted to help them with theirs. But of course people have to have a job eventually so he basically went with the flow until that recruiter came by and gave him the idea.
Min-jae thought that it would be cool to be able to help a musical group. He enjoyed playing the guitar himself although he only did it solo in his room. In the beginning he wasn’t sure how he wanted to help, but eventually decided to work his way up to manager or producer, but preferred manager since most people at the time weren’t really familiar with managers but producers names at least were put everywhere. So he worked his way up until this point, and now he is Picture Perfect’s Manager-nim.
Dreams: To help make the dreams of others possible, currently his current group especially.
Fears: Personal Fame, being forced in the limelight / on stage, getting fired, etc…
Embarrassments: Sometimes his group, getting his picture taken while with the group, etc…
Likes: Making dreams come true, Coffee, Motorcycling, Bubble Tea, Strawberry Cakes, playing the guitar in private, risks, etc…
Dislikes: Loud noises (except for motor vehicles), obnoxiousness, rudeness, cameras turned on him, getting confused as a soccer player because of his name, etc…
What he is known for: Being funny even when he definitely isn’t trying to be, keeping people in line once they hit his bottom line.

Personality:
Kim Min-Hyuk is a lot of things: Talented, Rebellious, Stubborn, Cute, Sexy, you name it and he probably has it. Overall though he’s extremely sweet, funny, outgoing and warmhearted. Although he grew up rich he also grew up playing many roles which allowed him to put himself in the shoes of many kinds of people, so he’s a pretty compassionate guy. That being said if its not a part of a role he’s played and because he is rich he can sometimes be oddly or cutely out of full touch with reality. And in fact because he’s been acting since he was 4 he also sometimes wonders if he’s actually his own person or just a collection of characters that has become one. Because of this and his sometimes method acting once in a while he acts like one of his characters specifically and has to come back to himself, or what he believes to be himself. But overall he’s a truly nice guy, with a warm heart who just wants to thaw the inner parts of himself that seem to be trapped in ice due to his family situation.
History:
Kim Min-Hyuk was born a into a very wealthy and influential Chaebol Seoulite family as the youngest son of a union of two upper-class families. His mother’s side being the most influential and having ties to royal lineage, and his father resenting that but being from a top tier family himself and clearly having chosen his mother for more than her stunning looks.
Perhaps because the marriage started off loveless to begin with, the household and his parents in particular always felt cold. The only one besides himself inside the household who was actually warm to him was his older by about one year sister Kim Mi-Ran (who looked like she could be his twin). Because of this Kim Min-Hyuk grew to be something of his sister’s shadow whenever he got the chance to be. Rather than their parents the one devastated when Mi-Ran went to school was Kim Min-Hyuk.
In fact, it was thanks to his non-stop antics that not even his nannies could quell that his mother decided that if he was going to be so dramatic he might as well get paid for it. Being a chaebol came with many perks and his mother came from one of the top families of Seoul. In fact, one of the many things that her family owned was an entertainment company, so with a fairly short conversation with one of her parents who were happy to be able to see their grandchild on TV, if even just for fun, his first role as a young crown prince was secured.
Interestingly enough, although the whole thing had been set up as a one off lark, Kim Min-Hyuk actually took to it, to the surprise of his mother, the director and cast who had been forced to have him because of nepotism, and most of all himself!
His mother quickly began to get phone calls from her friends and other upper elites, causing her to suddenly preen at the thought of being the mother of a star. So she decided to foster her son’s gift, even bringing in tutors and acting coaches. And because everyone wants to get close to stars his mother started to treat him exponentially better.
But although things seemed to be looking up there was one particular person who completely disapproved, his father. For a while, because the man barely checked let alone cared that he had children, figuring that they wouldn’t be useful to him until they were at least in High School, he was honestly one of the last people to know what his son was up to. It was actually another CEO during a business meeting sardonically congratulating him, which of course he found to be a great humiliation, that he found out.
That day he had stormed home and began breaking everything he could see in the house until he found Min-Hyuk hiding behind is Noona who nearly got beaten up herself when she spit at their father and told him that he was having a tantrum like a toddler. But being his actual favorite despite her gender Ceo Kim merely pushed her away and grabbed at the boy.
Min-Hyuk, who barely saw his father and considered him to be more of a stranger than a parent bit him on his arm causing the man to toss him against a wall. Luckily for Min-Hyuk his mother came home at this moment and pulled rank, shooing the children away while she loudly argued with their father.
Both children could clearly hear the whole thing. Due to her family’s status and the fact that her family was quite willing to back her up in everything their mom ultimately won. But having lost Ceo Kim all but disowned his son, and made an agreement with his wife that if she got to decide what happened to their son, then he got to make all arrangements for their daughter. Their mother agreed and Ceo Kim soon officially made his daughter his heir, in an unprecedented move considering the general nature of Korean society.
After that although the parents didn’t divorce it certainly mostly seemed like it to the children, except that they all lived in the same house still. But most days Min Hyuk went with his mom to act, and Mi Ran studied and interned with their father. When they were lucky they got to hang out together, but it was a lot harder than prior. Still if anything it just strengthened their bond.
When Min-Hyuk finished high school his mother asked him if he wanted to continue acting or choose another career. Because his mother’s family got to see a lot of him on Television and he was one of the only male heirs they were particularly fond of him, and were willing to put him in any field that he wanted. Min Hyuk considered things but decided to continue acting. For one thing it was one of the only things he really knew to do outside of his own personal hobbies, and for another it was familiar to him. In fact, acting was often easier than not in his own opinion.
But truthfully on top of that perhaps he really mostly continued acting because by this point he was resentful against his father. His father hating acting for whatever reason practically to the core of his being from what Min-Hyuk could tell rarely lost, except against his wife and his wifes family. So there was something satisfying about rubbing his father’s nose in his success. And the more successful he was the more billboards and commercials and shows he was on, all the more for his father to be able to see, and even possibly one day have to beg him to be a brand ambassador. And so that’s how his epic acting career and his personality came to be.
Dreams: To get so popular that his father has to beg him to be a brand ambassador, or at the very least can’t escape seeing his fame all of the time until it drives him up a wall.
Fears: Having to “go crawling back” to his father thus failure, being washed up, being abandoned, etc…
Embarrassments: Red Ears and Face, when his father is brought up, etc…
Likes: Acting, Music, his sister, sweets, etc…
Dislikes: His father, coldness, bitter tasting things, rudeness, snooty people, etc…
Pros:
- Excellent Actor
- Warm-hearted
- Is good at understanding people
- Can see from other people’s perspectives
- Can play a wide range of character types
- Has a plethora of connections and resources from his mother’s side
- Daddy Issues
- Rebellious
- Stubborn
- Sometimes accidentally ends up playing a character rather than being his authentic self
- Has rich people problems upon occasion
- Because his dad and mom have split the children his mom only claims him and his dad only claims his sister, so when the siblings are out together and because they are close paparazzi does not know that they are actually siblings and constantly makes up dating rumors which their mother has to then quell.
