An odd alert bug I just received. Apparently after posting on someone's profile and them liking the post it decided to send me an alert that I liked my own post. No issues with functionality but certainly weird.
 
I don't think I saw this listed. But on iOS it crashes when I try to post a new thread. It loads and lets me type in what I want but as soon as I try to post it, the whole app force quits, I lose all of my content and nothing has uploaded to the forums.

I use android. Even if I put in the right user name and password nothing happens. It's like the button to log in is broken.
 
Android:

- Crashes every time I open messages in inbox
- BBcode (you know)
- Crashes when I scroll too quickly on practically anything
- Theme annoyingly bright
 
It would be very helpful to have a search function or another way of accessing threads you have created. Also, the ability to edit posts. Is that not a function as well? Please feel free to correct me if I'm missing something similar already in the app. I use Android, version 5.1.1, by the way.

I have logged out, forces closed, opened, logged in. That process still crashes me. I also logged out, logged in, force closed, and also logged out, turned off phone, turned on phone, logged in, then checked inbox. Both still crashed.
 
So here a few comments after using this app since it's release.

First and foremost, I am grateful to the staff for their hardwork in making this a reality. It's not a perfect app, it needs a lot of work, but goddamn it you guys are amazing for putting so much time and effort into this cause it's gonna put RPN to the top once more ;)

So here are issues I noticed that should be worked on.

- Often, when choosing an actual thread (in private workshop, new notification and other threads in forums.) the whole app freezes and my phone just freezes as well. After 10 secondes of me panicking, i manage to just close the app and restart it.

- when pressing on a notification that usually directly brings you to that specific post that was liked or posted on the website, well, it doesn't do that on the app. It usually freezes and if not, then it just brings you to the first post of the thread and you have to scroll down to the new reply (which is impractical when you have over... one page)...

- Older notifications are not even selectable most of the time. Even if i press on them, it is just highlighted and nothing happens.

Overall, my issues surround opening threads in forums and opening notification. The app simply always freezes when it comes to this.

That was the negative review. On the positive side, conversation and push notification works fantastically. The conversations always open and redirect you to the last message (althought i cant see pics sent via PM) and you always get the notification the moment something is replied in a watch thread (but i cant open it in app so i just go on the browser version xD).

So just a recap:
Issues...
- threads always freeze
- notifications dont redirect you
- can't see pics sent via PM nor have i seen bbcodes so far.
- no cover page display on my profile (but thats not important honestly. Just figured id put it out there.)

Stuff that work...
- conversations open and are redirected to the latest messages
- the app actually opens
- the app looks cool
- it's organized and SIMPLE (doesnt feel clustered like on the browser page)
- the push notification is faster than emails so thats awesome for speed roleplaying >:) although, i havent seen any red badges on the app... maybe i disactivated it without realizing.

Anyways. Awesome job guys :D

Forgot to mention, im using the app on an iPhone 6s.
 
Oh just in addition to this... it's a bit more on a consumer side and maybe not as pressing of an issue, but the app consumes about as much as facebook when it comes fo data which makes a small dent on data consumtion. I don't know much about apps nor do I know if it's normal, but figured i'd say it. I mean i opened the app maybe 3 times and it took 4mb for like... nothing xD
 
Not sure if it's been stated, but I can't seem to tap the "login" button when the app initially opens, though it does let me make a new account. This is on Android 7.0
 
Hello, I use an IOS and I thought it strange when I was in my inbox, scrolling through my messages, I saw an old friend I forgot to re-add. I tried to click on their name, but it didn't direct me to their profile page. Instead, it just showed me our messages. If it is possible to add the feature to see people's profile's wherever their name is stated, I think that would be most beneficial.
 
Hi! I am having the same problem as deer deer on Android. (i.e. "Caragia likes your comment on your profile" instead of "Lucy345 liked your comment on your profile".)

Also, it'd be great if you could carry over the dark theme from the site to the app. It's a little difficult to see contrast let alone the arrow submit button(s).
 
I'm not sure someone has pointed this out yet or not (I didn't see it on the list but i'm sorry if its there and I just didn't see it Dx) On the app, I can still see the comments an ignored user leaves on my status'. I'm not alerted to them, but I can definitely see them despite the user being on my ignored list. :c

(Oh oops! And I'm an Android user)
 
Hey guys

Several updates have gone out to iOS and Android since the app has launched, including many fixes for crashes, improving the iPad experience and just slowly becoming something better.

If you haven't already try updating them!

Feel free to continue using this thread for feedback/issues.
 
Ah, updates! Finally~
I have not been able to use the app other than an occasional PM if it works. But I will admit it's been useful for notifications since it stopped on my web browser via Mobile. (Still works on Computer) Just get tired of opening up my web browser on my phone all the time, going through my million tabs because I forget to close them and so forth.

So thank you for the updates! Keep them coming and making it a glorious app!

I have a problem with the fact it dosen't delivered you to the post it notified you about. And that you have to scroll down from the beginning to the very end. This is a HUGE pain in the butt when your RP has 4,000 posts and counting. That's why I don't even use that app, I only have it on my iPod passively so I get notifications and know when I need to get on the safari browser instead for the site

Hey! Loving the app so far, love the convenience of the notifications and being able to check threads on the go. I did find a few minor issues though and I wanted to toss them out here to make sure it wasn't just me having problems with it:
  • Each thread's first post is blank in the app, only showing the author's profile picture and a blank white post space, though the posts after the initial one show up just fine.
  • Entering a thread or tapping a notification to a post automatically places it at the top of the thread (probably a feature not implemented yet, but having the ability to go to "Last Read/Most Recent Post" would be convenient/helpful in some of the 10,000+ post threads I have seen.)
  • Some Notifications in the app show my own username next to a notification someone else posted (e.g. "Stickdom liked your post" next to someone else's profile image and the notification leads my own posts that they liked.) Not a huge issue, but it shows a glitch in the notification system. NOTE: Tested again, this only happens if a post is "like"d, any other notification (replies, quotes, mentions) work as intended.
That's all I've noticed so far, but overall the app is a huge benefit, I can really see this becoming a useful tool to use once the majority of the bugs are worked out.

EDIT: Just saw some of the previous recent report posts about these same issues, I will test them out again and see if they've resolved or if they are in fact still an issue on my end.
 
Loving the updates!

But my original complaint/concern wasn't really addressed, it seems.

In a PM with multiple people in it, there is no way to tell who is actually talking.

Ignoring how bb code is broken in chats, it's annoying not being able to tell what messages are being sent by who.
 
Hey,

When I am looking through my posts, instead of going to the most recent post, I have to do A LOT of scrolling to get to my recent posts. I have an iphone.
 
I love that the notifications on this app are so rapid. I know who's replied before the computer website even has registered the notification. I do wish that the loading times were more rapid as well. The app still freezes when you try to scroll to the bottom. Even scrolling at a moderate pace as it tries to load the posts and private messages. iPhone 6s Plus iOS 10.3.2
