Fantasy Apocalypse: Not your typical 'zombie'

Lilly sat down. "Guuuys? Can you hear me?" Charlie sat down as well.

David felt instant relief that Roxanne hadn't been paying close attention. His face doesn't really lighten even though he had nothing to be stressed about. Only now did he realize that the person was a girl. He had nothing wrong with girls.. they just kind of... scared him. Other than his sister of course. "I um.. I'm David.." He winced at how pathetic he sounded. Back the firehouse Addie was deep in sleep.

Felix- I hear faint yelling from the firehouse and run to it, once I reach tbw hole I say into it, "Hold on one sec, I'll get some rope." I then go upstairs, grab rope and throw one end intovthe hold, holding onto thw other end.

Lilly climbed up with her hair in her face and Charlie followed close behind. When he stood up he said, "Human and friendly, so don't shoot me." Lilly got her hair out of her face and looked at Charlie in shock. "Char-Char?"

Felix- "Char-Char?"

 

[Blomst]

"Lilly? The um, the girl who chased me down when I took her food?" Charlie asked. "That's me. Char-Char."

 

[Blomst]

"Charlie, his name is Charlie. But, when we met a long time ago. I called him Char-Char."

 

[Sea Jelly]

Felix- "How long did you stick together?"

As the guy revealed his name to be David i smile and say "that's a cool name. So what are you doing out hear i have been fallowing you for a while and can't figure it out."

David scratches his head. He knew he couldn't straight out say 'oh yeah, well I turned into a zombie, so I'm staying away from the people I care about for a day and a half so I can learn to control urges'. He tilted his head and spoke, but it came out more like a question. "Scavenging...?.." He felt like hitting himself, feeling absolutely stupid.

Scavenging? I thought why is he saying it like a question. So with a confused look on my face i ask "Do you not know what you are looking for?"

David nodded his head slowly. "I think so..." He scratched his head again.

I let a small giggle out and then say "well i don't have anything better to do mind if i tag along?"

The delicious scent grew stronger and David takes a step back. "Better not..." He didn't know Roxanne that well, but he didn't want to be anywhere near her if he couldn't hold back his new zombie urges to eat.

With a disappointed look on my face i say "ah come on why not?"

David hesitated and closed his eyes. "Promise not to freak? I'll only tell you why if you don't instantly try to kill me.." He opened his eyes, glancing at her.

Wondering what he thinks will freak me out sparks my curiosity and i say "Okay deal i wont freak out or try to kill you."

David took a deep breath, wondering if he'd regret telling her. "Good. I don't want you following too close because, well... very recently I kinda started.. um, turning. I'm new to it, so I have no clue how to control urges if they get strong. And my scent is all screwy: tasty food smells awful and people smell amazing..." He glanced at her nervously.

Hearing that he is turning sorta of mesmerizes me and i say "well that does sound like it sucks. But i have never seen someone turn before so to be on the safe side for your friends. I am going to stick around and help you no matter what you say." As i am saying the last part of my sentence i get close to David and point my finger in his face with a defiant but hart filled smile on mine."

David took a step back as the delicious scent was inches away from his face. Her look seemed to be kind and helpful, but he had a horrible feeling that he might end up being the end of her somehow. "If you're so sure you want to.. Just stay at least a few feet away at the very least.. Please." He sighed as the scent made him even more hungry, it was already making him have a bad headache.

"Alright deal." I say with a grin of victory on my face. "So where should we head to?"


(I have to go for a while i will be back on later.)

David shrugged and took a moment to see if he could smell any food for the group back at the firehouse and especially for his sister. He caught a whiff of a new person at the firehouse and decided if it was someone bad, Felix could handle it, and if it was someone good, there'd be nothing for him to worry about. He also smelled some more cotton ball scent coming from a nearby grocery. David pointed to it. "I guess we head over there."

"Alright let's head to the store." As we head over I ask "so how long have you been with the group from the firehouse?"

 

[Blomst]

"About. Um.. i'd say.. a day and a half. I'm sad to say I got the crap beat outta me by her and her brother, Logan. Speaking of which... Where is he?" Charlie asked. Lilly didn't answer this. "Oh. Oh i- I'm sorry."
