Fantasy Anything Goes

Tsatsu had no need of sleep, and there was not enough drink in the world to intoxicate him. He and Aileada had stayed up well into the night conversing and trading bits of wisdom. When she could keep her eyes open no longer, he'd carried her off to bed and tucked her in, and then departed with a rather cheery look on his face. The moonlit night found him sitting on the patio of the cafe, dressed in a rather business-like attire as black as the coffee he was drinking. With his massive katana propped against the table and a simple tobacco pipe in his hand, the ebony-eared wolf sighed contently as he watched the world drift by around him. Where was that Hunter fellow? He felt like sparring with someone who would actually serve as a fair opponent. With a pleasant smirk on his lips, he finished his drink and took up his sword, sniffing the air in search of the young man.

Hunter was walking around town killing time because, he was used to staying up late and tonight was clear, perfect for star gazing.

Victoria stirs in her sleep, in the midst of a nightmare. Just before she is about to die (literally), she wakes up screaming. Sweat beads on her face and her hair sticks to the back of her neck. She throws the blankets off and hugs her knees to her chest.

Tsatsu spotted Hunter from across the street and quickly approached him. "Mr. Nelson. I've been looking for you." He called out as he approached. "I wish to challenge you, good sir. A contest of strength. The first to yield. I've no interest in killing you, but merely to better know you, sir. Do you accept?" He said as he stood before the man, anxiously awaiting his reply. Tsatsu jad heard his brother think of this man often, and wanted to know why this one occupied Shinu's thoughts. If his sibling took interest in this young fellow, then perhaps he should as well.

"Mistakes have taught me to always second guess myself." Aileada let out a yawn as she set the bottle of alcohol on the small, dark wood coffee table. After more conversation her eye lids suddenly felt incredibly weighted. She fought to keep them open, but in the end lost the battle, falling asleep. She awoke late the next morning, looking around her room with a small smile. "I always seem to end up back here."

Hunter turned around as he heard his name get called and saw a man he had never met asking for a spar 'telpathy' he thought "sure, what are the rules? And please don't use your telepathy."

(Screw it, we're gonna say it's daytime xD )

Tsatsu smiled humbly as he bowed his head. "You honor me, good sir. As a duel between gentlemen should be held, the rules are simple. No magic, no guns, no killing. Just you and I, and our beautiful blades. The first to forefit, essentially." He explained as he hefted his katana. "And you have my word that I will not disrespect or dishonor you by using any of my gifts. If I am to challenge you, the least I could do is play fairly, yes?"

Hunter shrugged "ok but I gotta warn you the blades I use give me a power up, and I'm not the best with them yet either" he said as he materialized his swords out of instinct his eyes turning their respective colors and the swords energy released itself in a black and white aura around the blades

Tsatsu smirked as he held up his empty hand. "Not here, my good man. Let us go to a peaceful place, yes? Somewhere with plenty of open space, where there are no innocent bystanders." He said as he gestured for Hunter to follow him. "There is a field just beyond the edge of town. Flat land, with soft grass and nothing to stumble upon. You should see it. It's absolutely beautiful. There's even a river to drink from when we're finished."

Victoria gets out of bed and walks into the living room, still wearing her shirts and tank top. She runs her hands though her hair and opens a window in an attempt to cool down.

Hunter shrugged "sure lead the way" he said as he seemed to sheath his swords on back and they disappeared as so as he let go.

Shinu slowly opened his eyes and found himself laying on a carpeted floor. Slowly rolling onto his back, he sat up and groaned with pain. This whole sleeping wherever he could business was getting out of hand. After a few moments, he began to realize where he was. He'd fallen asleep at the foot of Victoria's bed, curled up in the floor like an infant. He slowly layed back down and returned to sleep, not wanting to move or do anything that involved being awake. The change had always left him exhausted, even after a few days of resting.

Meanwhile, Tsatsu led the way out of town, humming and singing softly, if his deep and growling voice could ever produce anything that remotely passed for singing. It was as if he didn't have a care in the world at the moment. "But it's just the price I pay. Destiny is calling me. Open up my eager eyes....." He turned to Hunter with a delighted expression, walking backwards as he belted out the last part in a voice that more resembled Shinu's than his own, with an unusual amount of talent and passionate joy. "Cause I'm Mr. Brightside!" He simply could not contain himself any longer, and so he continued singing in a rather pleasant tone as they journeyed to the field he'd spoken of. Holding his hands out as he stood beside Hunter in admiration of the field, he spoke in his normal growl of a voice. "Is it not wonderful, sir?"

Victoria takes a deep breath and looks around. This place was a wreck. She sighs and begins to organize the clutter. She leaned all her canvases against the wall in a corner, put all of her paints in a clear tub, and put her brushes back in their jars.

Hunter gazed upon the open field "it's something, but hard to compare to the aurora borealis during a phoenix migration" he said in a slightly bored tone his usually up beat nature gone with the wind

(I love that song!)

Eventually mustering up enough energy, Aileada climbed off her bed. She looked out her window and smiled. The weather was amazing, possibly one of the last good weather days left before winter. "Time for a swim." She chimed gleefully. She quickly changed into her swim suit and slipped on a large shirt and shorts. She scooped up one of the towels folded in the bathroom, slipped on her shoes, and headed for the door. On the outskirts of town was a river where, if followed, led to a large lake. Growing up Aileada would jump in the river and let it carry her there. And that's what she planned on doing today.

Tsatsu nodded in agreement as he stepped a few paces away, casting off his peacoat and fastening the sheath to his belt. The young man seemed a bit distracted, but he hadn't denied Tsatsu's challenge, at least not yet anyway. Unsheathing the five foot long sword, he held the blade at his side and gave Hunter one last look, examining his opponent. "As a warning, yours are not the only blades imbued with power. Are you ready?" He asked, his voice suddenly full of cunning seriousness. He'd told the truth when he promised not to kill the young man. But he would not hold back either, out of respect to Hunter. Taking a ready stance with both hands gripping the handle, Tsatsu squared up with his opponent and prepared for what he hoped would be a decently lengthy fight.

Hunter readied his swords and stopped restraining their power, to put his full focus on his opponent, the earth started to shake from the swords energy " before we start can I get the name of my opponent?" He asked with a smirk on his face.

Tsatsu paused for a moment and considered Hunter's request. Being the kind of traveler he was, with the sort of title and reputation he carried, his name was indeed a precious thing to him. "If you defeat me, honorably, I will tell you." He said as his sword began to glow with a visibly black aura that seemed to dance like fire. "For now, you may call me....Wesley." He said with a sinister grin. Did Hunter know what he was doing after all, or had the question been asked in pure curiosity?

After Victoria deems her house clean enough, she goes into her room to get dressed. On her way over to ther dresser, she nearly trips over Shinu. "The floor can't possibly be that comfortable," she mutters. She pulls the comforter from her bed and gently covers him with it.

Hunter paused for a moment hearing the name before settling into a swords stance that he knew from instinct and waited for his opponent's move.

Tsatsu seemed to disappear from sight, only to appear in front of Hunter a moment later, slashing downwards with all his strength and roaring like the demon he was. His eyes held an inhuman fury that burned with all the hatred of the Circle of Wrath, and he locked his gaze with Hunter's as he delivered the first attack with full force.

Finally out of the town a smile stretched across the young female's face. The sun beat down on the dry ground, raising heat. Quickly skipping the towel around her neck, Aileada began swinging her arms, almost skipping. She stopped when she finally noticed two figures of in the distance. She squinted, they were both men, one blonde haired, one dark haired, but outside of that she couldn't see any other distinguishing details.
