What Does Art Mean To You? What inspires you? What styles do you like? Do you do art? What do you like to draw? Do you express yourself through art? How does role playing influence your art? To me, art and writing go hand in hand. A piece of art can tell a story, and as role players we typically use art in our stories. So, why not offer art for your role playing services as well as talk about it? What is this crazy lunatic offering? Friendship and commissions! If you do not know what that means, then what it is supposed to mean is you hire me and tell me what art you want, how you want it, and all of that jazz. What do I get out of it? Practice and the joy of knowing I made someone happy. IT IS FREE! I am not profiting off of this. I want to be able to help incorporate art into writing. . I'm new to this site, so I'm sure things work slightly different here... may i know what you define as a character sheet?

( I haven't had any art made for my OC yet... just a collection of images of character he'll look similar to.... )

A Character Sheet is generally a set of text that defines what your character is. It'll usually have fields like name, age, personality, etc.

Oh okay. Now that I think about it, I do have a character sheet, just that.....

It's ponified. I'm in the process of converting a pony OC into a human OC. It might not fit in to this site... It was crafted in a significantly different environment.

Anyway, I'd like a custom painting in the digital medium and anime and manga style.

Name: Ray of Gerhard

Age: 17

Class: Prince, a class capable of wielding both swords and C-rank staves.

Appearance: Ray is a young man of average height, standing at around 5'9". His physique is powerful and lean, not being too bulky while simultaneously showing off the results of his arduous physical training. He has short, straight black hair that is always neatly brushed. His eyes are a light baby blue and are indicative of his stern personality, seeing as how very rarely he relaxes them. He wears an elegantly made white breastplate with shoulder pads. Behind it, the symbol of his nation is depicted. Underneath it is a blue shirt made of silk. His pants are similarly made of silk and are as white as the very armor he wears. Other than that, he wears brown, leather boots and keeps a sword in a sheath by his waist.

Personality: Ray is a man prideful of his lineage, but never lets it get into his head. He treats all those around him as equals and refrains from using his title as leverage against others. He takes his role as prince very seriously and tries his hardest to live up to the title. As a warrior, he takes it upon himself to protect his homeland from bandits and brigands looking to harm his people, refusing to let anyone who would dare attack them escape from his clutches alive. Ray tries his hardest to be the ideal ruler for his kingdom and has devoted as much time to academia as he has to swordplay.

Ray expects the absolute best from his soldiers and has never been known to tolerate intolerance. This attitude applies both on and off the battlefield. While he certainly lightens up considerably when not in battle, he has no problem berating and insulting others should they display foolishness. He finds it hard to keep his mouth shut when he feels strongly about something and speaks his mind regardless of the scenario. That being said, the only one exempt from this behavior is his father, a man he respects above all others.

All the same, he cares deeply about the lives of everyone in his group. No matter the situation, he strives to keep casualties to a minimum. With this in mind, he makes sure to unsheathe his sword as a last resort. He is fully aware of how his brash behavior could affect the lives of those around him and keeps it in mind when it comes to diplomacy and decision making. For that reason, despite his no nonsense attitude, he generally keeps good relations with his troops and is able to serve as an perfectly fine leader despite his blunt behavior.

Other: Ray is the crown prince of his nation and has been groomed from his childhood to become the ideal ruler. While swordplay was the focus of his combat training, he took it upon himself to find a priest to teach him the ways of healing as a means of better supporting his subjects in battle. Although he did not have the greatest magical talent, he was nonetheless able to utilize basic staves Upon hearing about the turmoil surrounding his kingdom, he requested to lead the Sapphire Mercenaries and eradicate the demons plaguing his land.

Thank you for that! Haha I didn't know a section like this existed on this site, so forgive me for being all silly with where I posted it. Anywhales, I will find some of my work and post it haha. Just give me a bit. Sorry for the late reply, I had a long day.

Well, I don't do MLP, I am sorry about that. If you want a human personification, I may be able to do that. I just am a little iffy on it.

What Does Art Mean To You? : It's a fun hobby that lets me put my imagination on a sheet of paper

What inspires you? : Cartoons, both eastern and western.

What styles do you like? : Have you ever seen Shimada Humikane or Null's work? While the latter is quite lewd, I like how they draw girls. Then there's also the epic style of Murata Yuusuke, Hetza's dark and gritty art, Shibafu's military work, Sarako's pencil drawings, and a lot of others >w<

Do you do art? : Yep! Since 2014, so I still have a long way to go before my stuff looks good, still have problems with coloring.

What do you like to draw? : Military and mecha musume girls, or generally anything that seems enjoyable for myself.

Do you express yourself through art? : I'd like to say I do, but I really don't xD

I just draw stuff I find interesting.

How does role playing influence your art? : It sometimes helps me know my character before I draw them.

Could you do a drawing of this girl? One of my visually favorite OCs:

I'd like to see how your style would look with her, any medium you see fitting is just fine (colored preferred), and I just want to see her however you want to express her. For me, she's a depressed character, a veteran airborne soldier who's had her comrades pass on before her, also considering that the casualty rates of the airborne are high for their branch.

What Does Art Mean To You?

Art is... Well, some I like simply like the drawings. But some can be a form of communication. Of self expression. An escape. Something to channel your feelings into.

What inspires you?

Other drawings, other ideas. Something random I've seen or thought of. Though, I'm more often inspired to write than draw but if I do feel the urge, it's often the urge to draw comics or the like. Which I have no talent for, of course xD

What styles do you like?

I love manga and anime styles. I appreciate the more realistic styles though.

Do you do art?

Erm, a bit? Like I said, I have very little talent when it comes to artistic abilities, though I have drawn a few things.

What do you like to draw?

Anime and manga. OCs. I'm better at simpler things, like chibis.

Do you express yourself through art?

Tried a few times and failed miserably. I'm better at words than pictures, no matter how much I like to admire other and better artists' work.

How does role playing influence your art?

So far, it really hasn't. It's influenced what art I look at, as I'm almost always looking for pictures of OCs. But it's really my stories that I draw for because that's what I'm in for the really long term since rps seem to die pretty easily.

I really like my OCs being drawn. I have done three commissions for them so far and I always enjoy and get inspired by the artist's interpretation of them. I still have yet to post my main story online since I want to get to a certain point before sharing. I have many, many scenes written but I seem to have trouble writing in a straight line since I still have yet to complete the first chapter.

What Does Art Mean To You? It's a way to express myself in a way that writing doesn't do justice to, it means the most to me in dark times, and it's a way to vent out frustrations.

What inspires you? Other people, seeing art that others make always makes me want to become better and create just like them. Also music, it just gives me a nice flow, I even tend to do an exercise I call 'A song, a face', where a song must inspire the way I draw a character.

What styles do you like? I tend to lean towards less realism, so I like Japanese Manga styles, and Western cartoon styles, and tend to have more realistic body proportions, I think I try too hard to do realistic and yeah, turns out bad, but I'm learning.

Do you do art? Yes, I tend to sketch a lot, even if I don't have anything fancier than notebook paper and those horrid, horrid plastic pencils.

What do you like to draw? People, characters, and cute animals. I tend to suck at anything background related and am currently trying to learn anatomy (and hey! Finally getting the hang of it!)

Do you express yourself through art? It's the main reason for drawing, so yes, of course!

How does role playing influence your art? Characters, I draw characters, short comic strips, write small stories, because RPing has inspired me to write more.

What inspires you? What inspires me? Thats a tricky question. I am inspired by the most simple things. I love music, but that is so cliche. I think trees, water, and earth is the most inspiring thing ever.

What styles do you like? I love all types of arts, like I said I love anything that puts a idea that is in your head into a real life thing.

Do you do art? No I hate art......Just kidding of course I love art.

What do you like to draw? Anything in my head, it makes me sooooooo sad I cant draw......

Do you express yourself through art? Yes and no, I love to express myself with art but I suck at it.

How does role playing influence your art? It gives me the ideas, be it characters, settings, storys, to put on paper.

What I want done: I want a Oc Po trait. Maybe of a couple I have in mind!!!

Date of Birth (& age): In this picture I think it be cute if they were that would be Gwen 19, and Mikey 18.

Place of Birth: If this matters, Gwen was born and was brought up for 8 years of her life in Sweden. Her mother traveled alot, and was born in Jersey, and her father was born and raised in Sweden. So her mom stayed, and they stay there for 8 years till she was brought back to New Jersey with her mom when they got a divorce, and Mikey was born and raised in New Jersey.

Gender: Gwen is Female, and Mikey Male.

Social Class/Community Status: Gwen is Lower middle Class, and Mikey is Middle Middle Class[/b]

Language: Gwen speaks English, French, Some Spanish, and Swedish. Mikey speaks English, and some Spanish.

Family/Friends/Pets/Etc: Mikey has a brother Gerard, and his Mother Donna. He has no pets. Gwen has a mother who she lives with Marie. She is always on the road. She has a father in Sweden. You should work more on the structure and proportion of human body before you get to the step of coloring. The basis is just important.
