Anyone want to do a 1x1

Aslin continued running next to Malcolm like him maintaining her steady. " Yes, well that only is an if. Another if is that IF we don't maintain ourselves they probably won't take us over," she said with very high expectations in her country. She began picking up the pace a bit more turning around another corner " Now I hope that we don't have those gits on the field anytime soon. If a woman such as myself can run while maintaining her breath when a bunch of men are breathing heavy what faith should we have in them?" she said referring to the men around/behind Malcolm and herself.

(( The reason I said "around/behind" is because I don't know if we've out run them or not.))

@Nythil the Kuil[/URL] I'm very interested in starting an RP with you. What do you think it should be about?
I'm thinking maybe something along the lines of adventure/fantasy meeting at a choice battle. and going from there. The battle I'm thinking maybe a war being opposing sides and after a stand still, a stronger foe attacks we team up and defeat him together. After that maybe becoming a team and having them banter back and forth. What you think.

Malcolm chuckled at the statement about the others. They had all chosen to be field officers, but only time could tell if they could go out on the field, or if they were to be sent back into the war room. Malcolm started to raise his knees with every step, making sure it reached his waist, yet he still kept up with the others, and only now, his breaths began to be more heavy. "Nothing like some good old exercise, eh?" Malcolm yelled to the whole group, and a unison of groans could be heard in the formation.

((We are marching, so we stay in formation. I am sure that our characters could outrun them though.))

" I don't think they agree with that," Aslin said slightly letting out a laugh in the process. " So anyway, why're you here I mean we all have a reason don't we?" she said as she began breathing heavier and deeper. Something that she doesn't like about not feeling pain is that a lot of the time you don't know when you're pushing yourself to hard. Like when she can't feel her lungs burning from lack of air or from exhaustion. She can't say that she wants to feel pain though it sounds unbearable.

Malcolm ran with a slug smile, then said aloud: "To fight for king and country." A few gazes was sent in the way of Malcolm, and he just kept smiling. He continued a bit lower voiced, "that and I will show the Britts, that we are much more cunning. But I think it's best to show that through a common enemy." Malcolm said, putting his beret back in place, at it was falling down a bit.

"Well that's nice," she said looking over at him hearing him mumble on about the Brits. " I'm sure you are more cunning then those Brits," Aslin said teasingly before chuckling." I think you're more cunning than any Brit I've seen," she said looking away from him. He's an interesting one haven't met someone quiet like him yet. Aslin thought trying to steady her breathing.

Malcolm chuckled "Well, i may want to reconsider shaving then." He said touching the stubble he had on his chins, then laughed a bit, but turned blank when Mr. Atkins yelled at him. "So, what about you, Miss Lin? Who are you fighting for?" Malcolm kept a face turned forward, but his eyes looked at the girl running beside him, his breath getting steady again, as he had chosen to stick to just running again.

" Uh well I'm fighting for my dad. He was a great man good to my mother. He was a great father to me when my mom got sick he took care of all three of us real great," Aslin said looking down and she began watching her feet." I miss him and my mother I wish I could see them," she said with a sad smile on her face.

Malcolm looked at Aslin, and did not know what to say, but he tried never the less. "That is what I would call a noble cause. I am sure you will see them some other day again. I promise you that. We are gonna blow those Jerries to kingdom come." Malcolm smiled a confident smile at her.

Aslin smiled looking at him " Do you really think I can see them again?" she looked up at the sky bring up new topic " Have you ever noticed how boring the sky is? Like how it's only ever two colors." She looked over at him wondering what he thought about the sky. She was fascinated by the sky but the colors were so dull never happy. " I heard in America that it changes three colors. They usually have a happy blue sky. At least that's what my dad told me in his letter," she said the sky gaining her attention again.

Malcolm was about to answer when Mr. Atkins ordered a sprint. Malcolm turned to Aslin, mouthed "sorry" Then sprinted off. Most of the men was already dead tired, so they barely ran at a decent pace. This was gonna be an easy one, Malcolm thought to himself, as he passed several men on his sprint. He smiled to himself, feeling the wind grabbing his beret, he tug it a bit down around his head.

(Sorry for this late post, I was eating, and now I must go. I have to finish my school, it is graduation time.)

Aslin watched Malcolm sprint as she kept a fast but steady pace. I guess I'll never know what he thinks...She thought still watching him. She began running faster passing the men who had shaky breathing and were running at a slow pace. I wonder if we'll ever survive this war, Aslin thought looking back to Malcolm. "I wonder if I made him uncomfortable. Maybe I freaked him out?" she said thinking a loud once again.

(( Sorry for the late post really I fell asleep.))

Malcolm just ran, his breathing had become quicker, but he did not care about that. He just ran, thinking back to the times he ran away from the bullies when he was little, and that made him smile.

A sharp whistle pierced the air, and Mr. Atkins yelled at the men once more, this time to the relief of most of them, as he gave them permission to stop. Malcolm stopped as soon as he heard Mr. Atkins, and laughed a bit, sitting down in the grass looking up in the sky a bit. "I guess she is right, it's not like the sky at home. I have only seen this as a grey mess at daytime." He said to himself, smiling a bit.

Aslin looked forward and continued running until she heard a loud whistling sound pierce the air. She stopped dead in her tracks her knees giving out seconds after. " Okay Aslin next time you need to slow yourself down just a little," she said before rolling on to her back. She took a deep breath " Come on get up Aslin I know you can," she said talking to herself again. A lot of the time when she would talk to herself when she was a kid her the people her family stayed with - while her mother was sick - thought she had gone crazy because her mother had gotten sick.

After some minutes of regaining his lost breath, Malcolm stood up and looked around, seeing if he could find someone. Seconds later, a man that was a tall as any, came over to Malcolm and slapped his back. "Well if it isn't little Malcolm gregs." The man said to Malcolm, who quickly hit the man back. "Patty O'Brian, of all places in the world, you came here as well." Malcolm said with a huge smile on his face. Patty and Malcolm came from the same town, and Him and Malcolm had been friends since pre-school. "There is someone I would like to introduce you to, Patty." Malcolm said "I don't think I have seen any one else run as good as her." Malcolm began walking towards Aslin, but were stopped by Patty, as he pulled his sleeve. "Sorry pall, but I've got classes to do. Tell you what, meet me in the cafeteria when lunch break hits. Then we are really gonna have a talk, I might even be able to sneak in a beer or two." Patty said patting Malcolm on his shoulder. "Make that three." Malcolm blinked and waved goodbye. As he walked back to Aslin, it did not take long before the next bell rang, it was time for the firering range.

((Sorry, had some work that needed to be done.))

Aslin stood up after recovering and turned around seeing Malcolm talking to a rather unfamiliar face. Well almost every face was unfamiliar to her she didn't pay attention to them to much unless she was talking to the person of course. When she talked to people she tried to capture an image of their face and match it to their name. She waited as Malcolm walked over to her " You're fast runner Malcolm. Who was that you were just talking to? Do you know him?" she said after the bell rang.

((It's alright I understand and I'm sorry for any absence I have over the next few days.))

Malcolm smiled a smile full of nostalgia. "That was Patty, Patty O'Brian, he and I grew up together, and I honestly did not expect to see him here." Malcolm paused for a moment. "Would you like to eat lunch with us today in the cafeteria? I can introduce you two, from what I have seen from you so far, I think you will like him." Malcolm turned his voice a bit down, making sure Mr. Atkins could not hear him, "And he might be able to get us a beer, something I have not gotten since I got here to the academy." Malcolm smiled at his inside joke, then jolted back to the conversation, "That is, if you want to come along. I understand if you got something else on your mind." Malcolm pushed a bit to his beret, so it was tilted slightly to the left.

Aslin smiled at him " Eating lunch with You and Patty would be nice." She looked at -Mr.Atkins who was talking to a student- and she lowered her voice leaning in a bit " And I think trying a beer for the first time would be good," she said before turning around and starting to walk off the track. " Come on we've got a class to get to," she said looking back at him.

"Ah, good to hear. And you are right, we need to get to our class before the last call." Malcolm said setting into a stroll, and not a fast one. "Classes are important, but stress is never healthy." He said chuckling to himself. "So I chose the right line of work, as you may understand."

Aslin smiled again " Yes I understand that much," she said picking up the pace just a little bit as she hated to be late for anything. Ever since she was little she was on time for everything " Hey Malcolm how good are you with a gun?" she asked looking at Malcolm.

Malcolm grinned. "I used to hunt wild game back in the Eire, so I am fairly good with a rifle, but I don't know about the newly created full automatic rifles I have heard about. How are you gonna control the fire when the kick from the shot is gonna make you all wobbly. I have been very curious to this part of the training." He said scratching his chin. "How about you? I would not think you have even shot anything above one handed weapons, with those arms." Malcolm said and pinched Aslins arm to prove his point, laughing a bit in the process.
