Anybody want me to draw their character?

I want to take 5 requests or so for the next week to practice characters out of my comfort zone. Some of my art is on deviantART as 'shadefeather413' (shhh, I made that username when I was 13!) or on instagram, which is more frequently updated, as artsyrodent. I have a tumblr as well, but there's hardly anything on it. Anyways, I'll take anything from dogs to monsters to humans(preferred) of either gender to weapons. Could you draw her? Her tentacles are about as thick as her wrist. She'll be in vaguely medieval clothing but I'm not too worried about accuracy, I just like seeing how people interpret her!

@Anomaly Yes, I' love to! I'll try and do it well to represent all those pretty words in that description.


@Mayhem Half opacity basic, round brush and more of a direct painting technique. Which is where instead of solid, flat coloring styles, you do it more like an oil painting. Underpainting was blue, and then I built it up from there. Instead of just directly painting the flesh tone I picked out, instead using the half-opacity gets interesting mixes, and then you can color pick those colors and throw them down in other places. If you're like 'Hmm... this spot specifically doesn't look right. It needs something new' then I throw some atmospheric color, or like. Purple, if I feel like it.


'Keep experimenting' is the best advice I've gotten for coloring. The looser the process, the funner. I can't stand doing all of that lassoing, bucket tool coloring.

@TheGhostKing It does help, I do feel my colouring process is too stiff (if that makes sense) so I'm always trying to learn something new! Also, can I make a request as well, if that's okay?

@TheGhostKing Can i join the waiting list if you ever get that far? I'm not sure the two characters i would like would be outside of a comfort zone for you as your anatomy for basic humans looks pretty refined, but artwork of anykind is always awesomely appreciated.

Hello, sorry to bother you it seams you have a lot on your plate. But I was wondering if you could do a couple of female characters for me? You can take as much time as you like and I'd love to get to know you as an artist as I my self do art (such as my PF picture here) and I would draw my own characters it's just I prefer other people's art work and would rather they did it(I just don't think my work is good enough for it). Another factor is I don't have time to do it in between exams and actual art course work. I shall follow you on Instagram.
