Other Any Quizillians?

Was anyone here a member on the Quizilla forums?  I was a dedicated roleplayer there before it was shut down.  I have to say, I had not found a happy RP home since, until I stumbled on RpNation.

At one point, my username was FireVeela09... and then I changed it to something... Miss something or other... I can't remember.

I was on Quizilla back when it was quizzes?  We used to make choose your own adventure things, or just let people react using the options.  I know they later changed so there was a story format.  I never knew they had forums, though.

They did, and the roleplay section was huge and active.  They actually had it divided into casual, advanced, and epic (or something like that) and you had to "try-out" for the most advanced section.

Oh.  That's.... weird and elitist.  I saw another forum like RPN that did the same thing lol.  I find the idea of length = talent to be very strange, personally.  Then again, if I'd been RPing there in uh *looks at writing on hand* 2006, I would have been a weird elitist, so.

Yeah! I was there several years ago, and it's where I got my start roleplaying. It was only 1x1 through private messages for me, though, because I never experienced the forums.

Same, I guess I left before the forums happened. But yeah I was all about those quizzes ^.^ It was kind of annoying though—you could only get two or three sentences in those boxes, so trying to tell a choose-your-own adventure type story was so tedious!

Huh..... I don't remember that being a thing at all, but then, I don't really remember how much I was writing back then.

I think I recall paragraphs, though?

I definitely agree to a point.  I mean, usually if you are being descriptive and moving the story along, your posts are going to have a bit of girth to them, but I always try to be somewhat concise.  When I used to have to write abstracts for my psych research papers, my professors would tell me, "This isn't nearly long enough, but you've said everything you need to say, so I don't know what do do about that."   :P

I've always said if someone can move the plot along with one word, they're welcome to make that one word their post.  It has yet to happen, but I'd be fine with it.  The idea of length = talent just annoys me because I could write much more than I do, but I have no interest in doing so, yet there are plenty of people who wouldn't want to rp w/ me because of my shorter posts because they equate length so concretely to substance.

I could write 200 words or 800 words and the story would be moved along just as much in either, you know?

For sure!  I really only have a problem with short posts when they feel abrupt.  I am all about time skips, but they should be discussed, you know?

I began role playing on that website! I started during 2006 and I was heartbroken when the forums vanished. I went through many usernames but I think my longest used was GothicPandaChan...

I think I actually remember seeing that name around.  I'm still trying to remember what my main one was that I used for awhile... It was miSTRESS somthing...

I remember quizilla. It was full of fanfic, quizes about wat cupcake you were. It was... home.

But one day, it disappeared, and i was recked

I lived on the forums.  Role plays and role play partners everywhere.  Always active.  Had a lot of good RPs on there that I will never read again, because they tore it all down.

I never joined Quizilla, but I think I've been on the site a few times.

I used to be a member on a related quiz-based website although there was barely any RPing. Most of the site's members were either trolls or emos and it was basically a version of 4chan for teens (minus most of the gore and extreme stuff).

Oh man, the Quizilla days...

I used to make weird quizzes about the kind of sadness you feel or what kind of tableware you are...
