Oh man, Ein just might be the next to faint but from fear at the sight of an undead army, haha. (Not really tho, we don't need more craziness)
 
I'm waiting on Kuro to respond to Gwen's speech. I'm still kind of on pins & needles, waiting to see his reaction to her attempt at gentle persuasion.

I have a few possible plot threads with the villains in my mind. In one, Gwen gives herself up to them and negotiates a truce or alliance against the demon king. In another, she whips up the town into battle mode against the invaders.
 
Btw Atticus is going to keep on charging until something stops him, and I don't want to clog up the RP with full description of every tree he chops down.

As long as you know that if Gwen gets caught they are not going to be nice and civil, I wrote these villains to be the most evil persons I have ever written, so think before you commit to surrender. If you want to do the last one, you better be quick about it, cause people are going to die in about 2 in-game minutes.

You could accidentaly attack Obsidian's men and thusly open up an escape route for the group. Or fight with one of my demons, it's all good for me.

I'd say about as strong as regular people without muscle inhibitors. So pretty strong, but not supernaturally so. I think the pyschological damage they can inflict is their best asset. Not to mention they are mostly there to keep the guards occupied while the human army gets in a favorable position without casualties on their side.

That's a good idea. Why didn't I think of that? Well, since Atticus is such a volatile character, how about I decide where he ends up charging to with a dice roll?

Gwen is the only seer in the world besides Winter (who is already taken & paid for), which makes her unique and valuable. Furthermore, her body is just an avatar; she can replace it if need be. So if the bad guys kill her, she can just get a new body and they'll never find her again. If she's trapped, she can still voluntarily leave her body and find a new one. Basically, they don't get to touch her without her permission. So despite all appearances, she's really the one in control.
 
Just go ahead first, Katsa, I can't think of a response. Mostly because I don't I should respond.
 
Well, just have her stick around next to Fern or something. She's not gonna leave a source of dough alone.

You have to kill Gwen's original body in order to disperse her soul and prevent her return. The one you see in-game is just an avatar. So in a sense, she can't die. But by the same token, she can't kill anyone either, not because she possesses a physical inability to, but because her deeply-rooted beliefs make it unthinkable for her.


She has no such compunctions about zombies or demons, though.
 
Ah, alright, that makes sense. Would a demon be able to harm her more than, say, a mortal would because of their evil nature, and the fact they are also from another plane of existence, in a sense? If we're thinking in terms of 'spirituality', I mean.


Sorry for the questions, I'm just curious about her character ^^;
 
Hm. I wonder. Would Fern mind too much if MercLucia just dragged him off for his safety, leaving everyone else to die? They're not paying her, so their lives are forfeitable if it means that her client lives.

Fern himself is hardly a fighter, the only reason he'd participate at all would be if he thought someone needed his help. The only thing he'd be against with this action is losing the group and unable to get his "story", though it's not like he'd try too hard to get away from Lucia. It'd be interesting to see what happens to them, too, if the enemy ended up surrounding the town and figuring out how to get out, and I wouldn't worry about them being separate from the group for long as Fern is greatly interested in sticking close to them, so will put all of his effort in finding them again if they ended up getting too far. He knows where they're going now, after all.

Spirits are kind of like manifest thoughts. What you think and what you remember make you who you are. As such, they cannot be 'harmed' in any physical sense of the word. The only way to assault them is with thoughts of your own, preferably rational ones that call upon a higher authority. They can be manipulated and relocated, but changing their nature, including destructive changes, require a miraculous act of a higher power that does not currently exist in the story.


Since human souls are immobile, relocating them from their bodies results in their dispersal, otherwise known as 'death.' Both angels and demons possess the ability to relocate other spirits, which makes them impossibly deadly to mortals.


Gwen, however, possesses a mobile human soul, so she is not so easily destroyed on the spiritual battlefield.


EDIT: It's important to note that dispersing a spirit doesn't mean it's destroyed. It means that it is no longer an actionable entity able to influence or react to the universe around it.


 
For the purposes of this story, though, the physics of spiritual interaction are necessarily different. Unless Kuroakuma says otherwise, I think angels and demons would be incapable of relocating other spirits, or else there'd be no point in having demons take physical form or in having our heroes try to kill them.
