Soooo..


As the title suggests, I am looking for a partner, or a couple, to roleplay with moi. ^^ Since..most of my partners are gone or disappeared without notice. *sigh* So, the search begins again.


I have many, many plots and double the amount in ideas. xD Every genre I list below has a plot. If you want, just ask and I will tell you.


Anyways, let's start off with the rules/guidelines. I know, I know. They're short though


Obviously the norm rules. Godmodding, powerplaying a no-no.


Literacy is a must. Grammer, and such a plus, definitely. Mistakes are normal, so not a problem what so ever. ^^


My writing style tends to be very descriptive, so most of the time my replies are more than five paragraphs. Usually. But I don't expect you to do the same, I would prefer if you replied with something to work with, rather than just..replying to what my character(s) said. It makes it hard, plus annoying when I feel like I'm coming up with the only..plot pushing posts. Nothing gets me telling you faster my discomfort when I type a seven or more paragraph post, and all I get is a few lines.


I don't expect you to reply daily, as life comes first for some. I do the same, but at least weekly or a notice that you're just busy. That's all fine. ^^


It's a roleplay, not a business meeting, so..if you want to get to know me, and I you, I do OoC while I post. Heh, get me talking on music, and prepare to hear some bands you might not heard before. C:


Limits:


Gore and Violence: I luff it. I mean, I'm not over-powered with the gore, but speckled in there is good. C; If you have a problem, don't hesitate to tell me. I tend to be descriptive, as explained above..soo..


Romance: Of course, romance is a must. Yeah, I'm a guy, but romance is like..the bread and butter of most roleplays. It pushes along a good story. If you don't want any sort of romance, just tell me ahead of time, if you please. ^^


I only do M/F. I double a lot, and I don't expect you to do the same, but it would be awesome if you did. C:


So! The genres is what you're looking for, right? Good. Here are the plots I have for the specific genres:


Medieval Fantasy:


Princess/Prince x Royal Guard


Arranged Marriage


King/Queen x Mistress/Lover (This is more of an idea, but it works as a plot too. C:)


Mentor x Apprentice (This does not have to include romance, unless the mentor and apprentice are close in age. xD If that makes sense)


Modern Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Slice of Life:


Human x Alien


Human x Gifted (this one, the human becomes 'gifted' later. I have another with a war between gifted and humans, sorta..a Romeo x Juliet except one of them can breathe fire. xD )


Human x Science Experimentee


College Professor x Student (Runs in the same as Human x Science Experimentee, except the Professor is a..well..professor in the field chosen. xD )


Anime/Games: (These will be Fandoms, so original characters with plot. C:))


Pokemon (More..mature acting version. Less..kiddy stuff. Hard to explain, but if you want more details, don't hesitate to ask)


Sekirei (Minus the buxom babes. Or not. It's actually not a bad story. xD )


Mass Effect


You have a specific genre you want to do? Ask! And I will be truthful, and tell you what I think. ^^ I'm always up for suggestions.

I have to admit, I was reading through, nodding and checking off my own mental list as I went, and then saw your link. I actually -sighed- and clicked it with suspicion, worried it was something horrible and my deal breaker. I also love music, so thankfully it's something I actually already know! Are you a huge Two Steps From Hell fan?


So a little about me. I've been role-playing for years and am a little rusty, but I think it's heavily engrained enough that I'll fall back into it with ease. I miss it dearly. My last two notable characters (notable, I say, because it feels like the last few attempts at RP, the partner flaked out or was horrible and the characters fell ultra flat) were Blood Elves in WoW. *waits for the rolling of the eyes*


I can play either gender equally well and usually end up playing at least one character of each in any RP I do anyway. (I've done many 1x1s.) My RL gender doesn't really mean anything to me. I feel like when people can't figure out if I'm a man or woman the RP actually comes out better somehow. Perhaps it's simply because I've always had partners that needed a deep OOC connection/friendship to have good IC. Perhaps not.


I have no limits. And I mean it. You're good to do what you wish, just know that if you dish it, I'll return it. I only have the following requests:


No person is perfect, even if in fantasy or sci-fi. No one. At all. For every bit of good, there is a bit of bad or the character doesn't make sense. Be it blinding pride or stubborn naivety, just know that I'll get bored of flat "overly Good" or "overly Evil" characters. Even the Gods of Light in Dragonlance have some darkness. The quote from DL is thus: Too much light and you are blinded and can only have darkness. Balance is all. I work hard to have a deep opposite side balance my characters and I'd like the same.


Romance doesn't come easily. I want characters to work for it. Even in a world where love at first glance COULD be a thing, it doesn't mean things are any easier. *taps finger on laptop to think* My favorite author is Mercedes Lackey. There is a quote (and I'm paraphrasing it horribly) that goes along the following: A couple that is life bound (soul mates) has their fair share of hardships, like any other couple. The life [they had] before them [their partner came along] is ruined and a new one is forged, causing trouble. And after that, it's keeping the new life together while still having two functioning independent minds.





I personally like Fantasy the most- medieval is best of all. But I'll do almost anything so long as there are not zombies or aliens.

Wow. This post, I got it to my phone and was not expecting such a detailed reply. xD That's a good thing.


So, to start off, I can understand the horrible link part. Usually I don't trust going to links other than Youtube too much, but it's a good composer/band I think some people would like to hear.


And yes, I am a huge fan. *points to avatar* C: Along with Immediate Music, Position Music, Audiomachine, among others. ^^


Oh you and I will get along fine then. Reading your requests, I have the same things. For instance, I excel in the cold, unbiased characters. And love deep and subtle messages. Anyone that deviates from the normal goody-two shoes character or the 'Hey I'm evil because I am' (unless they're like super awesomely demented like Joker in the Batman movies/comics/ect.) Characters that have a reason to act 'evil' because they're being told by a higher power to do so is soooo delicious. xD


And, not to sound noobish, but I have played WoW, but not a Blood Elf, so I'll save the eye rolling for later. xD If it's any consolation, I usually like to go with half-elven/half-human characters that are not..whiny 'woe is me' emotional crybabies. And yes, those are annoying too.


Same with the romance aspect. Creating one that's...cutesy is all fine..but it doesn't interest me at all. Strife and arguing please! With a side of opposite views!


No zombie or aliens. Gotcha. I can hold back on those *Hides undead and extraterrestrials*

Hey, I'm interested in rping with you. I'm definately down for gore and happy to give you a meaty reply. I'm pretty flexible myself. Is there anything your absolutely craving? I will warn though, I'm not much for romance but as long as it drives the story and does. Not become mundane (like all about the romance) I'm down. I certainly would love to play multipul characters though.


I could go for one of your experiment roleplays, the perhaps the mentor and apprentice, or some kind of Romeo/Juliet thing cause I can see where a good plot could take rute. I'm kind of craving an asylum rp myself though.
 
Hi, although I am new I would really actually want to do a slice of life--I just, want to do some kind of rp that is fun and keeps my mind off of my actual problems about life and that kind of thing. I am a Chinese/English bilingual speaker, so I do make mistakes in word usage/grammar from time to time, but I'm sure that should be fine ^^. On top of that, I really am a driven writer--so I wouldn't mind writing large chunks of story if that's what you would like to discuss and such ^^.


I don't really have a lot of expectations or experience roleplaying... buuuuut I believe I can apply my own life experience and make really compelling characters ^^ also, I wrote lots of poetry (in Chinese) and spend lots of time translating Chinese, so I think that could make for some interesting experiences as well? I feel like I'm trying to sell myself really hard... but I just spent the last year buried away in the library hunched over texts and am kinda starved for some human interaction lol...
 
Ahh I see. We'll sadly I don't do slice of life simply because they don't hold my attention and don't tend to last long. I'm sure your a great rper and I wish you the best of luck in your search

I have been role-playing since 2011. I find myself to have excellent grammar and I love being detailed. Ah, and the gore and romance. For what is a roleplay without it? Well. I feel like I am about to babble. Which is bad.


If you are still indeed interested, I would love to do a Princess x Royal Guard/Servant roleplay, or even an Arranged Marriage. All set in the past, of course. Unless you want something more futuristic, which is something I am abysmal at. Woops.

Anyways, I would love to start a roleplay up with you! I agree with all the aforementioned points - by both you and Vondrike- and I've really been looking for another nice steady rp partner. Since this seems to be the request of my dreams, I figured I'd give it a shot and see what can come of it :)


For a little background info: I've been role-playing for a few years now, not as long as some but I'm certainly not New to the whole idea, and I would like to think I'm rather literate (I plan on changing my major to English). Aside from that books and games are my greatest passions, and I have a wide variety of experience with different plots, settings, and tones (though fantasy still remains to be my best writing).


I would be looking for something fantasy medieval, or sci fi for the most part- but if you had a plot ready that you really wanted to do I would be more then willing to give it a shot!
