Fantasy Animals at Heart || Casual || Accepting

As she perused the bottles beneath the counter then hurriedly handed the bottle with the medicinal herb concoction she was looking for to Ayize, she heard the dog-Raan’s kind words and felt her heart warmed slightly by them. Never in all her days had she heard such kindness pouring from anyone. Once she’d brought it to him, she turned around and stood guard over the two vulnerable Raan, her stance poised for battle. She was ready to fight off any approaching rogues as best she could with her bostaff, though without time to shift into serpent form, she would certainly be outmatched if ganged up on.

Ayize’s questions caught her off guard slightly, though they were very good questions. Still facing the commotion before her, she spoke up just loudly enough for him to hear despite her back being turned. “The antidote iss a universsal cure for all but the raresst poissonss. If she were affected by one of thosse, she’d already be dead. Poissonss are a very large part of Sserpent-Raan culture. We learn of different typess and thier affectss as part of early education. Being ressisstant to them, they are very effective weaponss for uss to usse, even for hunting. And it makesss killing in Jul form eassier.” Finishing her explanation, she kept vigilant guard over the shopkeep and the Dog-Raan tending to her.

Her tail lashes out, only once, but it was enough to send the two a message that she was annoyed. Though nothing else gave away otherwise that she was annoyed with the big tall wolf next to her. She listens to him and the other talk, glad that they were all on the same page of forming a team. Brejvarr didn't agree on who to be on his team and it made her more upset. Talk about judging someone by their looks, she thinks to herself but doesn't say anything. She listens for both males to be done talking and her ears slightly perk up when Mariq defended her. Well at least not everyone was so judgmental, she thought but now she would have to prove her worth. She was absolutely terrifying of doing so, what if they didn't find her useful? She would have to do everything she could to convince them to let her join. She wanted to join, she needed the extra money, and had been dying for an adventure.

"Yes, I am small," her tongue became a bit more sharp as she stated the obvious, she wasn't going to let Brejvarr's comment slide past her completely. She had waited for Mariq and Brejvarr to say their piece before explaining more about herself. "I will admit, I'm not a fighter. I wasn't born a fighter. However, I don't care how big or brave or strong you are, you're going to need more than strength to defeat the Transcendence," she pauses in her speech, trying to find the right words. What could she offer them? "But I'm fast and stealthy. My small statue can be of use in this situation," she says with a side glance at Brejvarr before continuing. "I often go unnoticed, I can fit through the crowd. I usually get underestimated, which means others are going to overlook me. I think this would be useful in a mission like this. We don't just need fighters, but a variety of skilled men and women." She was hoping that they would take up on her offer and they would find her skills to be useful to them. Nihear Yhri
Location: Kynear Inn
Form: Jul
Nihear grinned as she took away a mug from a customer, an older giraffe gentleman by the name of Kris. He was talking about his grandchild again today and looking so proud. The panther stood to listen to him next to his table. While she was only mildly interested, Nihear felt it was rude to walk away as he was speaking. Her thoughts were more focused on the room that she still needed to turn over because the guest decided to have a late start. And by late start, it was seven in the afternoon by the time the panda left.

Finally the story Kris was telling was coming to an almost end. Nihear dismissed herself before he could get started onto another one about the story of his grandchild's birth. That she had heard seven times. As much as she loved the regular, he could be rather long winded. Nihear heaved a sigh before escaping into room at the end of the hall.

A few people had already checked in, but the busiest time of day was only just about to begin. She suspected it would be a bit busier considering the King's call. Even if there were a few that actually were called upon, there were many wondering who would actually go which meant a lot of travelers. Nihear wished that she could have joined them but only remembered her lack of sensible skills when it came to a fight and her own cowardice. It was times like these that she wished she were more like her brother. Thinking of him only made her sad, so she tried to think of more positive things, like the possibility of him being avenged.

A thought that was only cut short by the ring of the bell set on the front counter. Though there was still work to be done in the room (the panda had left quite a mess), Nihear rushed towards the sound.

Mariq Zemaat - Goldenhill - Palace Courtyard

Mariq was intrigued by this woman. He took notice to the signs that said she was irritated by Brejvarr's comment. Her tone changed and her tail whipped out. He would pay attention to what she had to say next with a grin across his face. She went on to list the strengths she had. Fast, stealthy, an underdog above all. Exactly the kind of person he needed. Her persistence was what really had him hooked. The fact that she didn't just give up after Brejvarr put her down is what Mariq liked about Farren. Brejvarr on the other hand was fed up with her. With a scoff, he walked off, annoyed by her determination and persistence. Mariq watched the wolf as he walked away before looking at Farren. He nodded with an even wider grin on his face.

"Typical Fo'Sahsun warrior, simple minded, seeing physical strength as the only strength a person can have" he said. He then flipped his staff up onto his shoulder once more before continuing. "Ms. Farren, I have to say well done. You didn't crack when he insulted and underestimated you. You stood strong and listed how you could be useful in a team. That shows you may not be physically strong, but you are strong at heart and mind. You are exactly the person I want on my team" he said confidently and honestly. It was true, she was someone he wanted to team with. Intelligence is what he felt was most important in a group. He held out his free hand, offering a handshake. "You have my interest. Ms. Farren, you have yourself a team" he said with a smile.
