In Character Personality: Miku's personality depends on who she's serving. She acts differently in front of different people, because so many people think of her differently. Usually she plays a sweet, mature young girl with childish quirks from now and then. She has a nice voice, and most people like her because of how interesting it is to see a robot sing so nicely.
Out of Character Personality: Miku is very immature outside of work, as well as a bit lazy. She is clumsy, so she has to try very hard while doing her job, so that she doesn't trip over, "invisible rocks." Sometimes she can get irritable and over-stressed with all the haters who consider her, "impossible," or, "just an instrument," and this stress caused the creation of a favored song, "The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku,"

John is exceptionally brave, not hesitating to throw himself into dangerous situations and craving the danger when it isn't present. Despite receiving a bullet wound to his shoulder, John misses the war in Afghanistan, making him eager to join in on dangerous cases despite his unwillingness to admit the truth about the matter. Additionally, John tends to be selfless, loyal to Sherlock under almost every circumstance. He's the more practical half of the duo, more apt at being political with people/clients. He's also highly sarcastic, his sense of humor tending to be unpredictable in nature.
