Totally human, I swear!
Annus Horribilis, 2035. Though not without backlash, it is becoming more and more common for people to unironically and openly identify as Evil, and there are even clandestine schools where the curriculum instructs students on how to be the best at being the worst. One such high school, the Tudor Lestrange Institute is beginning another school year, as usual bringing in students from many walks of life, from aspiring mad scientists to hopeful dictatorial conquerors, from malevolent magic-makers to thieving con-artists..... to those who are only there because the school needed casualties and abducted them.
So here we are, in a little corner of Ohio where despair and arrogance reign. Will you partake in the vicious activities, leaving a terrible trail? Or will you do your best to fight for good?
Newcomers and returning roleplayers alike are welcome, but bear in mind that there are gonna be some updates to the rules, lore, and character sheets.
This rp will contain potentially objectionable content, such as violence, imprisonment, and other sensitive topics such as both fantastical and real world bigotry. Please don't join if you condone these behaviors in real life. RPNation rules apply.
All threads will be onsite.
This thread will be updated whenever this rp is rebooted or re-opened.
Meanwhile, some basic information about playable characters and plot modality:
Some (Non exhaustive) open character ideas:
And some bullet points about the GMO bird people like Malice and Vex (Left out of the lore because I'm not yet sure where to place it.)

Meanwhile, some basic information about playable characters and plot modality:
- Students are the lifeblood of this rp. They come in four main types: Unranked, which are mostly newcomers to the Institute; Villains, to be trained mostly but not exclusively in administration, planning, and public relations; Henchmen, who get most of the hands-on training; and Expendables, who are the victims in training exercises. Expendables are always needed.
- Teachers are playable, and I think self-explanatory.
- Miscellanious staff are also playable, which can be nearly anything your heart desires, from medic to janitor and beyond.
- Parents, siblings, and other characters that aren't students or staff may also be played.
- No set list of needed characters, but if anyone asks for suggestions, I've got some up my sleeve.
- The setting is what the Tropers would call a "fantasy kitchen sink," which basically means that magic, sci-fi, and combinations thereof are all normal parts of the world. Magic does not always work the same way for everyone, and nonmagical science, or "idemscience" as it's called in the rp, is limited only by what can be explained in a nonmagical way. So think biopunk and cyberpunk, but no time travel for idemscience.
- The very beginning of the rp will focus on the day-to-day workings of the school, but there's more in store, from school events to government raids.
Some (Non exhaustive) open character ideas:
Student - Wants to bring back circus freakshows, and is serious about it. Everyone thinks they're crazy.Taken!- Student - Legitimately evil, but does not want to be at the TLI and looks down on fellow students, thinking them to all be low-life ruffians
- Teacher and/or student/misc - A teacher who is only teaching here because one of their loved ones is being held hostage. The hostage may be on campus, or a different location
- Student and misc - A kidnapped student and their younger sibling who followed the kidnappers in an attempt to rescue their older sibling
Misc faculty -Someone on the board of directors who spends more time at TLI than any of their colleagues and generally makes the staff's life miserableTaken!- Student - Was supposed to attend a different Evil school, but got kidnapped for TLI.
- Student - A bird/human GMO from the same project as Igor, Vex and Malice. There may be multiple of these.
- Student - A member of Cedric's vampire posse. Multiple needed!
- Student- An expendable. These are always needed!
And some bullet points about the GMO bird people like Malice and Vex (Left out of the lore because I'm not yet sure where to place it.)
- They are part of a privately funded project, but the project is affiliated with a pharmaceutical company called Archer Solutions. The project is called "Peregrine," after the first bird used in the project.
- This is the first generation of bird-human GMOs. This means that their parents are human, not counting the various birds that they're spliced with.
- The goal of the project is to create a nonmagical species superior to humans.
- None are older than 16 at this time in the rp.
- They have 48 chromosomes, and theoretically cannot produce fertile offspring with humans. Therefore, they are discouraged from considering humans as romantic partners nearly as much as with species associated with magic.
- Each one is modeled after a specific species of raptor-type bird, but are designed to be genetically compatible with each other.
- None of them have magical powers. They might be able to use ritualistic magic, but are forbidden from it.
- Some of them are raised in a compound in rural New York specifically for the project, others are raised outside the lab by involved scientists. They all visit each other when not in school. There are also human siblings for some of them.
- They have all the limbs a human has, plus wings large enough to fly with. Their fingers and toes are like a human's, but with claws, and have locking capabilities much like the birds they're spliced with.

First and foremost, I want prospective applicants to know that there should be as much humor and lightheartedness as foreboding and drama. Classes include Calculus of Doom and Everything You’re Not Supposed To Do, after all. This doesn't mean there won't be violence, references to sensitive...
