Fantasy Amlein Episode One: Draconic Ambitions

Lol, well, that option seemed like the sensible thing to do. I'd even been typing it before I saw your reply.

You check the spell tome. Inside you find dozens of spells, but a few catch your eye thanks to the convenient Table of Contents.

Utility Spells

Invisibility- You know what this does.

Know languages- Understand and speak all languages for a 24 hour period.

Mend object- Fixes any non-magical object that's broken. I.e: Spears, swords, bows, pencils, and toothbrushes.

See through walls- See through mortal-made structures. Stacks with Detect Life.

Detect life- See life for 50 yards as long as they are in your line of sight. Stacks with See Through Walls.

Water breathing- Allows you to breathe under water.

Attack Spells

Lightning blast- A blast of lightning

Telekinesis- Hold objects and even people in the air and manipulate them in various ways. Examples: Choke people in midair or on the ground. Throw things. Hold things in place and stab 'em. Hold people against the wall and do things. Not weird things, get your mind out of the gutter!

Firebolt- Fire projectile

Acid splat- A small splat of acid, duh!

Ice Spike- Throw a sharp piece of ice at someone.

Which one do you want to use? Or do want to do something else?

2. Hunt

3. Gather objects

 a. Healing herbs

 b. Crafting materials

3. Look around

Do we speak any of the human tongues?

Also, might as well gather healing herbs in case things go pear-shaped in the village. You never know.

Information

You can speak the ancient language of Draconic and the other ancient language of Elvish. There is no Common Tongue as of yet as humans are in separate tribes with varying languages. Humans invented the Common Tongue for business purposes with other Races. With enough time you could learn these languages without the help of a spell.

You decide to gather plants to make specific mixtures for healing in case the villagers don't respond well to your presence. You learned a good one from an Elf Magi, the same one your followers swiped that Tome from actually. You look around for half an hour and find enough for 3 Healing mixtures. Since you don't have an Alchemy Table they're not as good as the could be, but they're good enough! You continue down the path. Any thing else?

1. Use spell. Specify which one.

2. Hunt.

3. Continue to village.

4. Write in!

You open up the spell book and wave your fleshy human hands in the spell pattern. You're not used to using fingers instead of claws. You don't feel any different, but press on anyway. Nothing like a field test right? As you get closer you see the village.

It's surrounded by tall vertical logs that make up the perimeter wall, sharpened at the top to discourage those who would climb over it into the fur, wood, and stone huts below. As you approach the gap in the fence that appears to be the entrance you see two huge Humans with two-handed clubs who seem to be guarding the entrance. They see you and hail you. "Who goes there?!" It seems that the spell worked. They tower over your human form and wear the skulls of different monsters they've supposedly defeated as helmets.

How do you respond?

1. "Help me! I've been attacked by

 a. Monsters!"

 b. Leo Versy!" (Check info below)

 c. Wolves!"

 d. Zery!" (Check info below)

 e. Nabeda!" (Check info below.

(Act helpless)

2. "Hello boys! I was looking for some strong men to help me." (Act seductive)

3. "Hello! I was sent by your brothers in the village not far from here!" (Act friendly)

4. Lead them away and kill them.

5. Run away!

6. Write in.

HP: 50

AP: 10 (Fur armor)

Information

There are three main human tribes, the Leo Versy: highly adaptable and intelligent. They can live anywhere. The Zery: the most adept magic users of the Human Variations. They prefer the solidarity of the mountains. The Nabeda: Cannabalistic savages with an affinity for Leo Versy meat making them arch enemies for years now. They live any where they can.

6. Maybe we can say we're travelling from far off? So, an "act friendly" response. I don't know how good an idea it is compared to the other options, but I'd rather we didn't get caught in a lie (especially given how little we know about the area).

(The parentheses were an indicator to what that option entails.)

You approach the massive guards. "Greetings." You find yourself speaking their language. "I have come from far away with gifts for your chieftain." They look at you suspiciously. They look at each other. They look back at you. "We take you to chieftain." They lead you inside and a surprising sight greets you.

You see animal skins stretched out to dry. There's the body of a Cave Bear that's been cut into for meat and skins. But what's surprising is you see human bodies on spits, roasting on open fires. And you see a statue made of human bones in the shape of a serpent. They lead you through to the biggest hut in the camp. Everyone is looking at you, your presence effectively halting village life for the moment. Several of the males are looking at you with lust in their eyes. The females are looking at you with envy, and you see they all have plain brown hair and eyes compared to your red flowing hair and striking blue eyes. A couple people look at you like you just stepped out of the Cave Bears mouth and started break dancing.

They shove you rather forcefully into the hut and you see before you a large man, approximately 8ft. 6in., larger than the two males who brought you here. Next to him is a Dire Wolf, a large wolf that is just the same height as the male. Normally a Dire Wolf would tower over a human.

"What is this?" he asked. The guards respond. "She says she carries gifts. Do we eat her?" The chief looks at you for a moment and smiles. "No. I'll listen to her. Leave us. Return to the gate." The guards leave you with this imposing man. "Speak."

1. Bow to him and say "Oh great one. I bring gifts from the

 a. Leo Versy."

 b. Zery."

 c. Elves."

2. Claim to be sent by their God.

3. "I'm in charge now!" Attack him!

4. Cast a spell.

 a. As an attack.

 b. As a show of power.

5. Write in if you have a better idea.

Sorry, thought I replied.

Anyway, gross, don't really care for cannibals. How about 4b? We can force-choke somebody with our telekinesis or something (and let them go before they die). This might be a very bad idea, haha.

(Don't worry. You can get rid of the Cannabals when you take over. It's your empire you're founding.)

The words barely escape his mouth when you thrust out your hand and invisible fingers wrap around his throat and hoist him into the air. The Dire Wolf lunges at you. Oddly enough, you hear it speak. "Unhand him!" Quickly! What do you do!?

1. Snap the chief's neck.

2. Throw the chief at the Wolf.

3. Hold the Wolf too.

4. Drop the chief to attack the Wolf.

 a. With your sword.

 b. With a spell.

5. Cast a spell.

6. Write in.

6. If we can understand the wolf then we can speak to the wolf. "Why do you want to protect this weak fleshy one?" If we can flash some teeth or claws or make our eyes look reptilian something to show the wolf that we are actually the strongest of beasts, if our shape shifting doesn't allow that that's fine. Continue on anyway. "You are strong with teeth that rip and tear why stay with these things of weakness and flat teeth?"

Sorry for my absence. Thanksgiving and all. As a prize, we'll do both. Kinda.

You throw the Chief towards the Wolf, who nimbly dodges away. When you speak you shift your eyes from pretty blue human eyes to reptilian blue dragon eyes. He steps back frightened by your appearance. "I wasn't expecting a reply." You hear his voice, growly and deep. "He is not a fleshy weakling. He has proven himself to the Alpha. I am Derst, ambassador to the humans of this tribe. The Chief honored us by learning our tongue. Unfortunately humans are easily swayed by those with magic prowess." He looks back at the Chief, who is looking at you in awe. He speaks. "Did the Serpent send a warrior to us? The shaman was right!"

1. Inquire about shaman.

2. Inquire about Serpent.

3. Inquire about Wolves.

4. Claim Godhood.

5. Claim to be sent by a God.

6. Turn into Dragonform.

7. Write in if you're smarter than me.

2) I would like to learn more about this serpent before I go claiming anything.

Turn to the chief and narrow our reptilian eyes. "What would you know of the serpent, one of flesh?"

"I am mortal. I know only what Shaman Turst learns from his visions. I merely worship the goddess of power, death, and lies. It is said she spoke to the Patriarch and showed him the wisdom of eating the weak, turning their uselessness into something useful for the strong."

1. Inquire about Shaman.

2. Inquire about Patriarch.

3. Inquire about Wolves.

4. Claim Godhood.

5. Claim to be sent by The Serpent.

6. Kill them.

7. Dragonform.

8. Write in.

Information

Wolves live in packs, sometimes numbering in the hundreds. They have an Alpha, who leads them into battle and makes decisions with the help of the Beta, the second in command, and a group of senior warriors: those who are still alive anyway. Pack life is hard. They hunt daily for food for the females and pups. They also protect them from the creatures who wish the pack harm. They have fun too. Every year they hunt for as much as possible and everyone feasts. One way to prove themselves is solo hunting for the pack. They are reportedly descended from dire wolves. The current Alpha is over 9 feet tall.

Because I'd feel bad about leaving this behind, I'll toss in a random vote without much context to turn back into a dragon. Let them draw their own conclusions. IDFK.
