Alright you heathens. [Age of Air]

Oh, I haven't got anything in mind at the minute. It just makes me generically sad when Merits and Flaws aren't used. Don't you trust your players!?

:P

Well, personally, I was thinking about taking every social flaw in the book and spending the points on melee specialties. Will that be a problem?

Now that you mention it, I could take a few more neuroses...
What? I was hopìng you'd let me take Legendary artifact... My character just IS NOT THE SAME without the eye of autochton!!

Yes, but what about all of your free daiklaives in the back courtesy of the fifteen undercover Wyld Hunt agents in the city? Errr... I mean puppies and kittens. For free.

Pfft. Nothing some Iron Skin Concentration cannot fix!

The one I'm only iffy about is Essence Waiting. Seems kind of broken compared to other excellencies. Mainly because of the whole, can't use other Excellencies to buy dice to save your ass if you've used a previous one with the other Exalts. It seems fishy unless you can find a way to clarify or fix it.

Well, I was kinda stuck for ideas. I figured I needed something like Essence Resurgent, but the powers in a path are supposed to be more powerful as you go along and Resurgent is supposed to be on par with Overwhelming. I was aware it was a bit strong, that's why I added the willpower cost. I suppose I could limit it to just the Breed/Favoured Abilities? I would be glad to take suggestions. No-one except me ever does anything with Dragon Kings... ;_;

Give me the new Fallen Races book and we'll talk :P I hate transferring things from one edition to another. Even if it may be easy. I'm a setting and story man, mechanics are important but not my fortee nor do I care. But I know them well enough that I can kick a player in the ass if they try to slide something by me. Like the jackass who thought he could make unlimited multiple actions in flurries. Egh, people.

Anyhow.

With that one...hmm, for now, limiting it to that is a good thing.

Note some of the powers they now have in 2nd Edition, thanks to Dreams of the First Age. These are generic and not well defined, but keep them in mind. For three motes they may add their essence to their Str., Dex., Stamina, Percep., or soak for a scene. Only one at a time. They automatically see dematerialized spirits and spend two motes to attack.

That's just a few of the examples.

I hadn't heard of that... sounds interesting, though the new powers may just be approximations of what will later be a revamped version of Paths. So, are you going to give me access to these new powers? :P

So, if we make a note of using the more limited form of Essence Waiting, will you allow use of the Excellency Path? I'll not likely take that many dots in it anyway.

By the by, it gives the numbers of DKs before and after The War. 150 million before the war, only 25 million after it. The soul-typhoon wiped many of them out, betrayed by a fallen Solar as they marshalled forces for a grand offensive.

Yeah, but in comparison, Chiaroscuro has 25 million people. One of many in Creation. They're a fading, dying race. And they know it. Their entire society is seeing an upheaval. Rathess is a broken reed, four factions are publicly fighting over the city. They get lip service from the Deliberative and their leader is none too happy with the current state of affairs. They're mostly a relic from how I read it.

Is calligraphy Linguistics, or Craft (Air)? Because Linguistics is the one with Charms like Flawless Brush Discipline, which is essentially supercalligraphy, and Linguistics is what sets your "Appearance" for social mechanics via writing; but the description for Craft (Air) includes calligraphy.
