Realistic or Modern Alone Together

Erin watched as her "friend" ran away from them, "whatever" she frowned, "come on, I have a friends house to stay at. It's a run down old building from 2000." She smiled and linked her arm through Chris'.

He was just doing his daily routine, walk around this city full of rich people and the other side barely being able to eat. It wasn't easy being in the other side of the coin, he had been on both, but, one was obviously better than the other. He looked up to see a group of girls, of his age, his serious expression changed to a smiling one, finally, someone he could be friends with! He ran to them and just said. ''Hi! My names Joshua, can i be friends with you girls?''

"Of course!" Chris says, smiling widely at the boy, Joshua, who had ran up to her and Erin. "I'm Chris!" She says holding her hand out for yet another hand shake. "This is Erin."

Erin smiled brightly at the boy. She looked him over and a flirty hint came to her smile, "uhm, we were just going to head to my friends house, I mean, he left it because he became rich, but it's a place to stay, would you like to join?" She tilted her head slightly

Upon seeing the others weren't running, she slapped herself and ran back. "W-wait! I though you were going to r-run away from the riches!" She looked visibly angry for the first time in front of them.

He shakes Chri's hand .''Yeah, i'd love to make friends with you guys! You seem very nice! I don't know if you're gonna murder me or something at that house, but i'll go!'' He said, in a joking tone.

"Great!" Chris says happily, putting her hand down. She then loops arms with him and smiles at Sammy. "We're going to Erin's old friend's house." She says happily as a toothy grin shows up on her face. She was very, very, childish for her age, but she couldn't help it.

Sammy smiled back. "That actually sounds very nice. It gives me a place to put my books." She looked around, breathing in the smokey air. "So, what's the best way to get money, you think? I typically break vending machines and get stuff from there. Easy with a club and low security."

"Steal and sell." Chris says, her innocent voice and those words didn't necessarily go right together, but she never figured it was wrong. "That's what I do to get money though."

Joshua just had a huge smile on his face, having new and kind friends was simply great thinking about, who knows, maybe he could start over. ''Uh....I stole a necklace earlier, i was a rich back then, so i basically know all the streets. This necklace easily costs 100-200 dollars, we can share it!''

She looks at Chris and smiles. "I don't steal directly. I mean, technically I'm stealing, just not in front of someone's face. Most of the time, that is. Now, on our way to that house we were talking about?"

Tuesday shuffles down the street making sure not to make eye contact with any of the riches. Her cigarette slowly came up to her mouth and then back down after she took a puff of it. The smoke left through her nose and floated off into the distance. As her head slowly tilted up, her eyes landed on a group that consisted of three girls and a guy. "They don't seem like riches, guess I could try and join them?" She said to herself but, more of questioning. Tuesday made her way to the group and looked around at them all. "Hello." She awkwardly said as she took another drag of her cigarette and blowing it out. They seemed rather nice so, it was worth the shot.

Chris's smile gets bigger when she sees yet another girl come and say hello to them. "Hello, there. I'm Chris." She says, extending the arm that was looped with Erin's towards the new girl for a hand shake. "How are you?" She asks the girl sweetly, her dimples showing on both sides of her face.

"Someday, everything will be perfect."

Oliver's dream was interrupted as he felt something thrown into him. He jumped awake and looked to see a few riches kids throwing garbage at him. "How dare you!" he cried out in a monster-like voice. He loved kids, no matter if they were riches or not. He made himself appear big and grabbed his toy sword from his belt loop. "How dare you!" he demanded, running towards the children like some sort of humanoid crab creature. The kids giggled and ran off and Oliver smiled, returning back to the little rut in the wall. It was where he always stayed. There was the whole stereotypical barrel with fire in it and some old newspaper lying around. He sat down again, slowly. His bones ached. His mind ached.

"I'm so alone, Vivienne." he whispered. "Vivienne." He closed his eyes and thought again of the smile of his sweet Vivienne. His eyes started to fill with tears and he blinked them away.

"There's some kids over there." he said to himself as he opened his brown eyes again. He tilted his head and watched them. The riches had started to ignore his presence a long time ago, but they seemed very interested in these kids. They must be homeless as well. A loud mew echoed around and Oliver's eyes widened. "Aberdale, you obnoxious beast." He reached into his shirt pocket a pulled out a tiny kitten. The kitten was just a little bigger than a soda can, but not by much. Her size had been stunted, and she was indeed a runt. Aberdale continued to meow, getting louder and louder, obviously demanding attention.

"Sh, Ab. Here," he said, grabbing a can with a little bit of kitten food in it. "Morning grub." he announced as he poured a little onto the ground and set Aberdale beside it. He watched as the tiny creature munched. Hopefully, the little beast hadn't attracted any attention.

Looking down at the girls hand that had been extended towards her, Tuesday moved the cigarette from one hand to another. She grabbed Chris's hand and shook it with the tight grip she has. "The name is Tuesday," she let go of her hand and replaced it with her cigarette again taking another puff. The girl's cheeks slowly caved in as she smiled. "I guess I'm doing okay. What about you guys?" Tuesday smirked as she rubber her arm with her empty hand and then adjusted her backpack. Her eyes scanned the surroundings of everyone and everything around the small group. Almost all the riches had gotten to work and their kids were outside playing. She smiled a little and thought to herself, "I won't forget you, Cecilia. I love you baby sister, even if you're rich now." Tuesday's smile slowly faded away as she adjusted her beanie and shuffled her feet on the ground.

Erin looked at her new group of friends, but her gaze lingered on Joshua for a little longer than the others. He was good looking and Erin wasn't about to deny that. She flashed him a brighter smile then nodded "Tuesday should join us." she smiled "come on" she led her group down the sidewalk, went a few blocks, when down a back alley, turned a corner and slowly pulled open a old rusted door. "welcome." she giggled and gestured for them to go in.

Joshua simply followed the group. He just looked at all the buildings, places he went when he was actually a ''richie'' He giggled at how Erin greeted them into the house, finally, a place where i can sleep without thinking someone will kidnap me. I sit on the ground, seeing the house. It was obviously very dirty, and not very nice, but it was better than sleeping outside. ''Hey, Erin, how are we gonna settle in? Like where are we gonna sleep n' all that?'' He asked, curious, since he really desired sleeping on the couch, a soft and warm place.

I posted by accident, tried changing tabs and i clicked. I'm editing right now! Sorry, :(
Edited!

Erin smiled at Joshua, "well I'm pretty sure the couch is a foldout couch. And we could take turns, since two people could fit on it. And tomorrow we could steal some stuff, like blankets and sleeping bags." She shrugged and pulled out a blanket from her backpack. "someone can use this" she smiled brightly

Tuesday giggled as she was greeted into the group. They all began walking towards an old house, Erin pushed the doors open and welcomed us all into the house. It seemed rather nice, at least nicer than where Tuesday usually slept. "There are beds here, right?" Her eyes scanned the room that the group was standing in at the moment. "Really, I don't care where I sleep or who I have to sleep with, just as long as I can sleep." She smiled and began playing with her hair.

''Stealing is not very necessary right now! I have 53 dollars, maybe that'll get us some food and some pillows. I mean, split it up, we're now a group after all!'' He tells the group, with a giant smile. The feeling of being able to be with more people without the fear of being back stabbed was beautiful. Maybe i could stay for a while, maybe forever, or i'd hope so.

Tuesday dug around in her backpack to see if she had anything. She pulled out a five granola bars, two gatorades, and a chocolate bar. "Got these from the grocery store the other day." She set them on the table and continued to dig around some more. "Shirt, shorts, underwear, cigarettes, lighter, matches..." She spoke to herself, "Ah, here we go!" Tuesday pulled out a few crumpled up dollar bills and some change. "I have, lets see here.." She counted the money, "Four dollars and twenty-two cents." She then sat it on the table with the rest of the things she sat down on it.

Erin dumped out her backpack contents "well I guess we could share everything, girls with clothes, and all of us with everything else. She saw dressers and folded her clothes tucking em in the dresser then setting the rest of her things on top of it and counting her change "I have 10 dollars, but sorry if this sounds selfish, i would like to save it for smokes." she blushed and looked at her feet, tucking her other small contents into her backpack again

Chris smiles and pulls off her own bag. She pulls her clothes out and sticks them in the dresser as well, then pulls her money clip out. "Um, could somebody count these for me?" She asks, putting the money on the table. She then pulls the knives from her boots and puts them on the dresser. Some would think she was too childish and innocent to carry knives, but it's a hard world out there. The money she had put down consisted of three fives, six ones, and a lot of quarters.
