There is always one upside to being home from school, away from all the prejudices and labels of the world. For Noah Oakley this upside is ebuddy online. Most people write him off as an up to no good delinquent so it was only a matter of time before he would want to find someone willing to look past his reputation. Using the name "Kobalt_Skies" he created an account where he could freely talk to others online. So taken by one user in particular, it became habitual to login everyday after school to chat.
Parking his beat-up Ford pickup, Noah slid off the front seat and landed firmly on the pavement of the sidewalk. After slamming the door shut and shoving his hands in his pockets he clicked his car locked, pushing the automatic button on the key. As usual there was nobody home yet and probably wouldn't be for some time.
Opening the front door, Noah stepped inside and slipped off his converse, shoving them in the corner by the door. Down the hallway he stopped at the second room on the right, pushing open the door to his very own bedroom, complete with his CD collection and old posters on the walls. Opening up his laptop, he waited for it to boot itself up. Like most days he set up his sound system, blasting his music as loud as he wanted to. Nobody was going to stop him let alone hear him, nobody cared. Typing in the password, within minutes Noah had the site up, ready to talk to the only person he felt might actually understand him.
