"Oho, it is on," Lucy said. Growing up with two little brothers didn't let one be soft. She ditched her bag and sprinted after them and tackled the first boy she reached onto the grass from behind. "You think you can mess with me when I'm twice your size? Say uncle and I'll let you go." She had the smaller boy pinned beneath her by sitting on his legs, and she was using her arms to hold his hands down.
The boy struggled and tuurned to try and break free but to no escape, he let out a few groans of struggle before giving up. Get... Off... of... me....

"Promise me that you're not gonna go around throwing toilet paper anymore and I'll get up," Lucy said, stubbornly refusing to budge.

Oww, Oww, ok ok. Groaned the boy painfully.

Lucy let go of his arms and got up from him.

"Now run off and go home. Your parents are probably worried," Lucy said, shaking her head a bit.

Casey huffed as she came up beside Thuy,"He's not precious, and I only came cause if we're stuck her with no parents I'd like us to not hat each other. So, yea, can we not hate each other?" She asked, trying to turn the door knob to the house they were currently trying to get in.
"Locked. You think someone's inside?"
Thuy raised an eyebrow at Casey's first comment but nodded. "Alright, I'll try to get along with you. But my parents are still at work. Probably. I'd have to call them to be sure." She paused. "And of course it's locked. If someone's inside they'd answer by now, right? Do you know who lives here?" She rang the doorbell again for good measure.

('s my turn right? if not, sorry for the awkward interruption *concerned grin*)

Wade was dozing off into dreamland before she was awakened by a sudden noise.

DING DONG!

That sound immediately made Wade tense up, she jerked herself up from her sleeping position and pondered what to do, then she heard the doorknob rattling and voices spoke behind the door.

Wade had rarely heard the doorbell rang; the only person who ever dared pressed that button was kind ol’ man Darby who lived next door, and that couldn’t be him or even his wife because they had passed a few months ago, sad news really. And her sister would’ve just entered because she always had the key, the extra key and the extra-extra key with her. The people outside could be anyone that she never known before so she stayed on guard.

Slowly and silently, she approached the front door and probably had a few cardiac arrests along the way. Her heart was beating so hard and sweat began to trickle down her face. She was only a few feet away from the door before…

DING DONG!

…another unexpected doorbell rang and scared the crap out of Wade. She jumped, slipped on nothing and fell on her back.

OUCH!!” she shouted out in pain.

Casey's head shot back to the door when a loud "ouch" eminated for inside the place. She reached her hand out a jiggled the door knob again,"That sounded like a kid." Casey pressed her ear against the door, listening for any other sounds that might come. When none did, she decided to speak up to whoever was inside the place. "Hey! Are you alright? Can you unlock the door?" Casey tried opening it again, making sure it was louder this time.

"I don't know if they'd be alright after that," Thug said worriedly, and began to frantically knock on the door. "You okay?" She called out, louder this time.

Ouchouchouchouchouchouchouch……..’ she thought while facing the ceiling ‘….oh lord, how improper of me….

She heard the strangers outside saying something but it was unclear. She hurriedly got up and stumbled towards the door.

"Hey! Are you alright? Can you unlock the door?" the voice sounded like it belonged to a young woman.

….Ah…..I,” Wade couldn’t even speak up, her throat felt so dry from two days without any nourishment. The girl struggled to reply the stranger.

"I don't …if they….lright after … at,” another voice spoke up” You okay?!"

Ah! Halt!(Aah! Stop!) She was scared, what if the strangers were trouble….she had to make them leave, “What are thou intentions, which brings thou upon thine home? There be not a thing worth your time beyond the door, nor is the lady of the house in at the time, so please leave....!(What do you want with me? I don't have anything! And the owner isn't in so please, leave!)Wade said with hints of fear.

(if too weird, will change, I was trying to go for the home-schooled weird grammar girl, apologies)

Casey made a confused face,"What the hell? She's talking like she's from medieval times." She ran a hand through her hair, reaching down to jiggle the door knob again. "Umm...everyone's disappearing and we were just seeing if anyone lived here. We're not gonna hurt you, I'm Casey and the other one with me is Thuy. You said the lady of the house is out? Did she happen to spontaneously disappear?"

@Neko Mimi

'.......Disappearance of Needmore residents? What does that all mean......' She thought for a while before eyes widening. The doorknob still continued rattling.

"What doth thee meant by 'disappear', are the missing people in peril? Has my sister, too, vanished? Oh I implore thee, Misses, what has occurred?" (What do you mean by 'disappear'?!? Is my sister gone too?! Please, tell me!!) Wade clutched her hands together.

Casey groaned, I have no idea what she's saying. "Uh..okay so, it would probably be easier to tell you what's happening if you'd open the door. Please, I swear on my mothers life we're not going to hurt you." She released the door knob, rocking back on her heels and awaiting an answer from the girl inside.

(I'm back after a week or so, I've been pretty busy lately)

Iris still curious on what was going on, sat down and was watching the situation unfold across the street. Even though she couldn't hear them and she usually ends up becoming a spectator, watching everyone around her live their lives like a never ending movie. Iris didn't really care much about the overwhelming emotions from events happening, all she really cared much for was if it was entertaining enough to write down for a future novel she had been planning to write for ages now. Iris stood up, using up a good portion of her daily pre-breakfast energy. Being on her feet again, she decided to walk across the street to investigate.

Well that's...weird. Does she think this is a ren faire or something? "We really aren't going to do anything to you. We're your neighbors, I swear we're not selling anything. Something strange has been going on, so we just want to see if everything's alright."

((@Neko Mimi I, personally, find it unlikely that anyone in this day and age would ever speak like that even if extremely isolated. Unless Wade's family only spoke like that around her and everything she was exposed to (books, TV, games, etc) was in Middle English, I don't think it's even possible. Of course, the decision is ultimately up to you.

@Iskolde ))

If you're in a hurry or don't give shits, don't read the rambling below, ignore the red and just read the green (quick translates). Sorry having a really bad headache right now.

yeah, I probs didn't emphasize the total isolated thingy enough huh, apologies, also I'll added the translation shit or i'll just change her dialogue from the next part, although I'd thought another type of dialogue'll be more interesting in a way, pity.I wanted to make the sister the super possessive like Mother Gothel type-ish, not letting her out, educating Wade herself, etc. Wade and her sisters’ age is an 8 years gap. As for the Middle English thingy, it has many flaws but I intended that, also the difficulty with her communication skills, doesn’t fit in and all, and it may help out or piss off a few people too, what I mean is, I like to make interestingly twisted I guess, or it’s all just in Wade’s mentally-challenged mind. I’d just thought that she’ll be learning those from her sister and they like them fancy Shakespeare ways, her sister wouldn’t even mind the weirdness because she doesn’t even plan to let her out anywhere. However, I plan to make Wade slowly learn to speak more....modern. But I think I’m just reading too much comics and should probably change that huh, sorry again. (T⌓T) btw, forgive me for my crude writing, I’ve just run a mile and a half race involuntarily today and tbh, I feel like shit and my mind can’t think straight anymore.)

The two girls outside sounded so sincere Wade’s little doubt were immediately swept away. They could be trusted, she noted. The door, however, was still an obstacle….

…thou voices are music mine ears hear, though why hear'st thou music so sad? Wishing me could be there to take both yours’ pain as mine, but alas, only my mistress has the key, these doors locked forced me from freedom and from thou kind maidens.” *trans:(I wish I can......but the door is locked, and only my sister has the key to it.)

Wade saddened, she looked around the house which has too less furniture in it, nothing that seems to be proved useful in the situation. She glanced again and was about to give up hope till she spotted the small but sturdy-looking stool sitting near the dining table. Suddenly, she had an idea.

She turned to the two strangers hidden behind the front door and said a bit louder this time, “How fortunate, a solution so clear just betwixt mine eyes! Rejoice, I hath found another way out of thy solitude. However make haste, with thy parlousintent , I wish no harm so should thou oft best not to near the window left.” (I have found another way to escape!...But it is risky, so please! Be careful not to get hurt and stay away from the window on the left.)

After that said, she jogged to the kitchen doorways and lifted the stool using both of her arms and brought it near the window. She stopped and stared at the duct tape covered window, she hesitantly lifted the stool above her. For a while there, she was unsure of her hastily-made decision. But something about what the girls had said triggered her desires, she wanted to know, she had to so badly. So she took a deep breath, took her position and swung the stool full-force towards the window, shattering it.

Casey jumped when the window shattered, as she was still trying to process what the kid had said. "Woah, holy shit. Well...I guess that'll work too." She turned to the girl and glanced her up and down. The way she spoke wasn't the only weird thing about her. Casey shook it off,"So..hi..uh, what your name?"

(I don't mind the whole Middle English. She's your character and I feel that's completely up to you. It doesn't keep me from understanding her or anything, so it's fine with me. :) )

Wade froze after throwing the stool, still in shock of her actions. ‘Dear Lords, how I fear, a mistake so grave! What hath overcomes me to act as such?’ She thought as she looked out the window to finally see the two strangers. What she saw left her quite speechless.

"So..hi..uh, what your name?" the first girl spoke up.

She stared at the stranger for a while before speaking, "...greetings, mine name is Wade, bestowed upon me since birth by the Worthingtons," (Hello, my name is Wade Worthington, may i know your names too?) A small smile barely noticeable appeared on her face, to meet with people, other than her sister, and outside, this has been such a day.

(thankies so mushhh!! orz......Sorry for the confusion, i just want to write without care now, to succeed you must first try try and try! And i plan to do so, a lot. Anyways, what's next actually....)

Casey smiled and brought a hand to her chest, referring to herself,"I'm Casey Johansen, I lived down the street with my grandmother." She straightened her t-shirt awkwardly. "Well...I did, anyway, until everyone went missing." She shrugged and turned to look at the garage again,"Should we keep going or take her back to the garage and wait for Zach?" Casey questioned Thuy.

Iris stood up, using up a good portion of her daily pre-breakfast energy. Being on her feet again, she decided to walk across the street to investigate.
A boy was walking down the street other side of the street, about 5 years of age carrying a red wagon with what seemed to be a mountain of plush toys on it. It seemed heavy for the ginger child but he looked determined but sad at the same time. He passed Iris while looking at her before continuing on.

The window shattered while Thuy was still processing what the girl had said. She screamed and jumped back about a foot, landing on the street. While the strange girl...Wade? and Casey chatted, Thuy slowly got up and dusted herself off, trying to calm her nerves. Her heart pulsed way too loud to be normal and she was still shaking. "I think...you all...are crazy..." she said, panting. "Ohmygodohmygodohmygod." Once she had finally calmed down enough to speak like a proper human being, she responded to Casey. "I need a moment to calm down. Umm, how about you go back to the garage ahead of me...I'll call my parents and then join you."

@Neko Mimi @Iskolde

Casey gave Thuy a concerned side glance,"I don't think it'll work, my phone wouldn't work when I tried to call Zach this morning." She looked back to Wade motioning for the girl to follow her,"Come on, kid. We're going to the garage." She began walking off, but before walking away she turned back to Thuy and gave her a smile,"Don't run off, okay? We've gotta stick together." With that she shoved her hands in her jean pockets and strode back toward the garage.

"Yeah...alright..." Thuy said as she watched Casey head off down the street. Maybe she isn't so bad after all. With a sigh, she pulled out her phone from her purse and dialed her mother's number. It went straight to voicemail. She tried again. And again. And again. And... Giving up, she then began to call her father. Same result, no matter how many times she tried. Her parents always, always picked up the phone. Even if there was an emergency, they would answer her. Is something really wrong after all? Thuy hadn't really expected there would be an issue. She thought she would be able to call her parents, and then everything would be fine. Should I be more worried about this...? she wondered. Maybe it's shock. It's been a confusing day and my brain just can't deal with this right now. In any case, she decided to rejoin her...acquaintance and walked over to the garage. "They wouldn't pick up," she called out once she got there. "Also I think I'm in shock since the window shattered and now my parents and pretty much everyone it seems are gone and if I randomly start to freak out later blame my brain and I'm rambling someone help me I don't know what to do. What are we going to do what if nobody comes back can we even leave the town what if it's the apocalypse? What are we going to do then are we even okay I don't know anything at all how are we going to get food and water and oh, oh, the TV didn't work neither did our phones what if electricity is gone. And--" She cut herself off by slapping a hand to her mouth. Thuy sighed. "Sorry. I'm...stressed. But back to normal now, I hope."

@Iskolde @Neko Mimi

Wade stared at Miss Casey as she conversed with the other girl who has yet told me her name, "Should we keep going or take her back to the garage and wait for Zach?"

So, there's another, a person named Zack?

"I need a moment to calm down. Umm, how about you go back to the garage ahead of me...I'll call my parents and then join....."

Wade stopped listening there and ran to her room to get some stuff. She snatched her tiny strap-on pouch, a small charm, and old goggles that she had gotten from her sister many years ago. She then headed back to the window.

"...don't think it'll work, my phone wouldn't work when I tried to call Zach this morning."

When she arrived, they have finished with their small talk. Miss Casey then turned to look at Wade.

"Come on, kid. We're going to the garage." She told her.

"O yes, Miss Casey, verily....we shall venture to the ...'garage'."(Yes, Miss Casey ma'am! Let's go!! To the....uh...'garage'!) Wade tried to speak all the while struggling to climb over the window. She managed to succeed but with a bruise on her rear.

She walk behind Miss Casey, and stayed a distance behind. They walked for a while, then suddenly, Wade remembered something.

She steadily jogged up to Miss Casey's side,"Miss Casey, mayhap I question thee something?" (Miss Casey, can I ask you a question?) Technically, that is already a question, so she just asked ahead, Miss Casey seemed nice anyway.

Flashback, "Woah, holy shit. Well...I guess that'll work too." Miss Casey had said.

".......could our excrement really be sanctified by the fellow priests?"(....... can our shit be blessed??? [Jesus, i mean no offense, amen]) I asked.

Casey laughed slightly under her breath at Wade's question. "Just call me Casey, kid. And no, I don't think so. It's just something someone say when their surprised, I guess." She shrugged and glanced at Thuy when she came running back up to them, the girl was rambling about her parents not answering and the apocalypse. "Woah, hey. I don't think it's the apocalypse, we're gonna be fine. We'll figure out something, okay?" Casey reassured Thuy with a smile as they walked, presently they arrived back at the garage and Casey opened the door for all of them to go into the small lounge room next to the garage, where Zach had gotten that little girl a shake earlier. "Zach should be back soon, so I guess we can just chill until then." She shrugged absentmindedly.

Lucy brushed herself off a bit, heading in the direction that she had seen the other boys go with the intention to give them a scolding. Getting revenge was bad enough, but she refused to stand for them causing mischief to innocent and univolved people.
