He's independent, quick and quiet. But this is all just a facade, a mechanism to deal with his gruesome past.

He was born and grew up in a middle class family in an important city, he lived out of trouble until he was about 13 years old, but at that point things changed.

He lost his brother in a suspicious accident and was now alone, miserable and abandoned. With a couple of friends he had to survive in a criminal world. But with his persistance and determination, he managed to reach full potential and crush all that's in the way. This has turned him into the man he is today.

With the lessons of the past, he now works as a sailor. By doing so, he hopes to support a new, honest life and finally find stability and security he has never had.

History; Ellis was an orphan from birth, and after she finally found a home misfortune always seemed to follow. At the age of seven, her third family enrolled her into martial arts which she excelled at but had little interest in. She wanted to focus on her education, wanting to be a teacher when she grew up. At eleven, she had already been through five families and stopped bothering to get attached. She lost some hearing in her left ear in a car accident, and once again got put into foster care. She kept studying and eventually after time passed made it to college. From there she discovered her ability to manipulate sound and her body, allowing her to hear a bit better and helping her focus by tuning out the unwanted sounds. She studied until she got her degree in music and English education, and started taking jobs as a substitute until she found out about a place with rumors to have people with gifts. She applied and managed to get accepted as a teacher.

But when he went to Alcatraz, he was able to convince everyone there he had security experience and was the new chief orderly, a talent from his salesman days. Dr. Howard knows the truth but is letting it slide for now.

Personality: He is very confident, almost to the point of cockiness, this trait carries over no matter who he thinks he is. Currently he believes he is an actor who is just doing research for a film.

Teleportation takes up a lot energy. Especially, if telsporting to far distances. Mika must know how the area looks like before teleporting to the destination. She also has a developing ability to feel other people's emotions. This ability is stronger through touch.

Appearance:

History: Mika was born along side of her twin brother on December 28. Her family was reowned for knowledge in martial arts and blacksmith. They were also known for their ranging psychic powers. She was raised to uphold her family name, but Mika had intrest in other things than swordmaking and fighting. She studied in psychology over the years as well as strengthened her psychiatric powers to become a psychiatrist at the asylum. She found the job to be more intresting than her life back at home. It was also a place where she could escape the constant bickering of her family.

Personality: Mika is usually serious and rarely let's her guard down, especially around the students who lives in the asylum. She does relax and open up to people she truly trust. Mika can also hold a poker face very well. She tends to not let emotions cross her face, but her eyes can be a dead give away. Mika is also parental. She sometimes babies those who she is very close to.

Anything else posed as useful: Mika is skilled in close combat and knows how to use weapons very well.

She has a taser and she isn't afraid to use it.

Reason sent to Alcatraz: Numerous attempted suicides, most of which ended up with him being comatose. Attempt at murder, although not successfully. Paraphrenia.

Knesis/Psychic Power: Hydrokinesis (has it's limits over the amount of manipulated water). Atmospheric Adaptation paired with Anaerobic Respiration (both have a time limit of about 10 hours, and that was discovered... by himself).

Appearance:


History: His history is quite blurry, mainly because he doesn't like to remember anything. He was born to a pair of pretty normal parents, but whom were considered dangerous to the society. At the age of seven, his father was falsely accused of murder, and he was left alone with his mother, who wasn't strong enough to both keep her work and keep her son out of the trouble. As a result, Martin became a "dummy" at his local school, being to scared and bright to tell about this to school authorities, or even the police. But he wasn't scared enough to not attempt suicide, at which he discovered small portions of his powers.
At later years of school, he was considered a strange pupil, with his father still not out of the prison and his reputation sharply dropping.
He was quite determined to follow the "status" he was assigned, attempting to kill a teacher and another suicide. Guess that was over the limit, was it?

Personality: Optimistic and pure, probably because of his false belief that everything that happens is good, in a way, and that people around him are caring and kind. Although he was shown otherwise many times in his life, he still keeps that belief close to his heart. He is relatively smart, but not outstanding, and quite strong, not physically, but mentally.

Anything else posed as useful: He isn’t capable of a full murder, as much as he tries. He is a good swimmer (if you can call that a result of regular "swimming" in the local lake).

History: Henry was born to a family of success and influence, he wanted to be great and felt inspired by those like Mozart and Bach.He learned all about music in an attempt to deal with his wife’s death, and he spent every waking hour and minute practicing and learning. He knows how to play countless instruments, and has a bachelors in teaching. He wants to share his knowledge with other people, and children specifically.



While he is teaching others how to play instruments, he is also teaching himself how to use his recently discovered powers. They showed up one day when he was practicing and Henry is nervous to use his powers, and highly cautious.



Personality: Henry is a man of high expectations, and sometimes he forgets that children are not copies of his younger self. He tends to set the bar extremely high, and he loves the students that practice. He is typically a serious person, however he tries to not be so uptight all the time.

While children loved him to tell them what they were thinking, everyone else saw him as a freak of nature. When the local gang decided to attack his brother, Act decided to get some revenge. That "revenge" turned into overkill. having an out-of-body experience right after didn't help convince authorities he was sane. Although they were grateful for getting rid of a good portion of the gang, they sent him to Alcatraz to prevent any more "incidents."

Personality: Atticus is actually quite kind, mostly to young children and those who don't acknowledge him as a freak. Practically the embodiment of "treat others the way you want to be treated" - treat him well, he will do the same to you. He will ignore fellow classmates/patients if treated in an unkindly manner and even some faculty.

Anything else posed as useful: Act knows how to shoot a pistol with pristine accuracy. He also knows how to knife fight. Both a pistol with several empty cartridges and a knife were found at the scene of the gang murder.

Sexual Preference: Honestly, right now he doesn't care. He wants to be left alone.

Student/Patient: new patient

Reason sent to Alcatraz: They found the house on fire. His parents and siblings dead in there beds. They found the boy asleep in his bed. Matches on his bedside table. No sign of smoke inhalation, an almost impossibility. They think he set the house on fire. Waited. Then went to bed to kill himself. He swears blind that he Didn’t do it. But the matches found by his Bedside say different.

Knesis/ Psychic Power: Jason’s sleeping mind is much more powerful than his conscious mind. It has the ability to kill those who hurt him. They have to have physically hurt him over a long period of time, or have emotionally hurt him. They have to be within a distance Jason’s body can physically get to, and they have to be the recipient of a deep seated hatred. Jason cannot magically kill. He can only kill if he he the right tools at his disposal, just like a conscious killer.

Jason can also lead his physical body when he’s being hurt. He can’t use doors or move objects, but can see spirits when he’s away from his body. He finds it stops the pain.

Appearance:
A tiny little blonde sprout of a boy. It's obvious that he doesn't fit in here. His blue eyes are a picture of his innocence. Yet he's angry he's angry at what's happened. This resonates on his bewildered face. He's short and skinny. He bears the bruises all over his body of his step fathers belt.

History:
Jason lived a happy life with his mother until he was around 12 years old. His mother met a man who seemed nice until she married him. Then he turned evil. His mother was beaten into such submission that she started to believe Jason needed beating too. The mother and step father had two twins. The step father was loving and doting to them, but would treat Jason in the opposite manner, beating he and his mother to within an inch of their lives. Daily, weekly, ,monthly.

Jason grew up to be a timid and fragile adult, still stuck in that house. Unable to move or run away. He grew up scared and angry. That was when the house burnt itself down. Jason can't say he's not a little pleased it did, but angry that he's being blamed.

It’s transpired that Jason had done it in his sleep. Completely out of character, and he didn’t even wake. He doesn’t even remember doing it. He struck a match or two and set the house on fire, before meandering back upstairs to sleep, his room being just far enough away from the smoke. He’d always had powerful dreams, and he’s always sleep walked, but only now has it lead to murder. His sleeping mind is a powerful being and one that needs controlling. If the institute can’t help, he’s scared he’ll be facing Death row on four counts of murder.

Personality:
Jason is nice when he's happy. He has a kind heart and an innocence that surpasses his crime. But, when he's angry, there's a sarcastic unruly side to him that comes in outbursts. He just wants to be loved, and is fragile, meek and scared. If he's not having an outburst, he's submissive and overly obedient. It's as if there are two people in his mind, that comes from his neglected life.

Children are only admitted into Alcatraz if they have powers and have committed some form of a crime, are a danger to society, parents simply don't know how to deal with them, etc.
It's advertised as a facility that specializes in educating, managing and researching the kids, though it's more oriented around actually experimenting on the children and their abilities, so you can't get in if you've got no power or an undocumented one. It's fair for the character not to know their limits, but he has to have some form of an established ability.

Yeah that's understandable sorry I misunderstood well it's edited now. He can cause harm and even kill with his mind. Problem is, he doesn't even know he's doing it.

Also...hmmm... you're going to have to be a bit more specific there ability wise since that's both an incredibly vague, broad and dangerous ability, especially considering his lack of control.
How is anyone supposed to restrain him? Why would the facility be willing to admit someone like that? How does this ability even work? Since that vague line doesn't even answer how he does it. Hell, that could mean anything from exploding their veins to causing tissue to rot to just straight up frying the brain using electricity. It's just way too OP and broad. It's fine for your character to be unaware, but the ability needs to have clearly established limits.

I just want the RP to run smoothly and for the character's abilities to balance each other out a bit. Killing and harming others with your mind without any limits is just...it's so vague
We just can't allow that, since it would ruin and totally shift the balance of the RP.

Edited again. So I've taken out that He does it with his mind. He sleepwalks. And he can commit the most TERRIBLE arson when he sleepwalks. He needs locking up at night. And they need to find out how he can control himself. The facility wants to help him because he needs it. He needs the help, or he'll be facing death row on four counts of murder.
