Silber glared at the guildmaster's back until the man was gone, leaving him standing alone in the clearing, surrounded by smoldering splinters of wood, poisonous smoke, and spikes of bamboo. He let go of his astra, and everything he had dragged along its timeline was suddenly pulled back to how it was supposed to be. Bamboo shoots shrunk down into the ground and returned to the seeds he'd scattered, as did the tall grass he'd caused to grow. The ivy around his feet returned to seed as well, but what had already been burned did not. It would have taken more energy to return something so thoroughly destroyed to haw it had been, and he really didn't care that much about a few seeds. For the same reason he left the blasted apart tree he'd felled.
The drahkin walked to the edge of the clearing and found an old tree he could rest against. Using his claws he carved a note to himself, reminding him that he hadn't yet settled matters with the butcher. He then sat with his back against the tree and stared up at the quickly darkening sky. Staring up at the sky through the trees, he could almost fool himself he was back home in the gray woods. He released the technique that he'd used to make himself older and stronger, his body shrinking back to its child-sized form. His turquoise eyes saw the sky. Beautiful. It reminded him of home. He wondered how the fight had gone. Had he won? He didn't remember any of it. Hopefully his future self had remembered to leave a note this time... Silber fell to the side and passed out curled up on the forest floor at the base of an old tree.
