They were on a mission together and she had to rescue him, because he got ahead of himself and didn't think of a plan. SHe then jumped in and saved him

He was taken to a Catholic orphanage and cared for by a Priest, living a peaceful and happy life there. However, one night he stumbled in on his foster father butchering a child that had supposedly been adopted and learned he was being raised by a sadistic man. His father let him live however and Kudo had ran away and after years of living on the streets, and learning all the basic means of survival; he joined the Guard.

It is a mass version of when the blade hits the floor, instead it is done in the air creating cracks in the world itself. He and his older sibling both coped with the loss differently. , Enzu deciding to join the royal guard, where he honed his skills and became a sword fighting prodigy. While his sister shut herself away from the rest of the world, and began delving into research regarding every mperial arm that ever existed. It pained him to see her that way, but he became so occupied with his training that he rarely visited her, until one day she disappeared altogether. With no leads and going soley of of a hunch, he vowed to one day confront the members of Night Raid...for various reasons. Knowing that if he continued growing in skill, and rising through the ranks of the royal guard, he was bound to run into them sooner or later.
