For a few minutes, it was quiet. No other projectile came her way but she kept her guard up, ready to shoot at a moments notice. She could still feel some kind of presence in the area. It was then she heard rustling of leaves from behind her and when she turned, she was greeted with numerous blasts. She used her limbs in an attempt to shield her vital areas and somewhat deflect some with her Imperial Arm. She staggered back. Was she going to die now? She can't use her weapon properly anymore with damaged arms. Just when she was about to fall to her knees, she heard gunshots. Her mind immediately thought of one name. Aero?


She felt someone grab her arm and pull her away. She was glad someone came to save her, but pulling her away would allow the guard to only follow them. With one last burst of strength, she shot an arrow opposite the direction they were running. 'Trump Card: Fire.' And once it hit a tree, the arrow and the tree burst into flames, affecting also those around it at a relatively large scale. She hoped the forest fire could at least stop the guard.


Later, they finally stopped running, much to her relief. Her legs could barely hold her up. She fell to her knees before leaning on a rock. Sure, she was hurt badly, but at least they saved Kiri. She watched the two hug with a smile.

Lori jumped up and ran over to Lyra "oh my gosh are you alright let me patch you up!" She pulled out her medical kit and in a couple of seconds Lyra was back to normal kiri glared at them both "what were you two idiots thinking I would've been fine in that Jail until the war was over and you could get me out?!?!" Her glare quickly turned back I to a wrapping smile as she hugged the two so happy to see them both again outside of the empire

Lyra sighed in relief when her wounds were healed. She swang her arms, glad she could move them normally again. She let out a light-hearted laugh when Kiri hugged them. She ruffled the girl's hair like she always did. "Can't take the chance. You know them. They could kill you any time they want. That aside, I'm just glad you're okay." She turned to Aero and Inou. "And thanks for coming for me."

Noel grinned slightly as Zenith gave her head a kiss. "Rushing into things, are we?" She teased, taking a mouthful of food and fixing her hat. She had quite the appetite and was eating much more than he had, washing it down with a drink every now and then. Not long after she finished the food on her plate and went back to her slouching form. "Hey, thanks for the dinner." She said softly, letting out a burp.


"Ciri! We have Kiri." Fujio called out, finally reaching the girl. "We are pulling back!" He was a little mad that they were pulling back so soon, seeing that he had finally reached the sniper person and now had to run all the way back. But from the looks of it, the guards were pulling back too so hopefully they could go in peace? "Let's go quickly!"





Alice was back at base with Aero, Kiri and Lyra. Her hands were clenched up into tight fist and her nails were nearly digging into her skin. She was holding back anger, sadness, jealousy, and other emotions. It was so unfair, This was almost a copycat situation that happened to her, but this time Aero and Kiri managed to make it out alive but Santios couldn't? It seemed as if the whole world was against her and was in everyone else's favor. She was sick of it. Without saying a thing, she walked away from the group and towards her own room. I didn't even get thanked. She thought and slipped into her room. Those two get to live happily ever after while I get to be alone for the rest of my life. Her arm was brought up to her eyes and she wiped away some tears. I'm lonely and useless.

The explosions had stopped almost as soon as they started, it seemed Krieg wasn't the target, on top of that the guards were retreating as were the assasins. Krieg glared across the battlefield and deemed the mission as over. With a grunt he ran back into the forest making a wide arc so he couldn't be tracked before finally heading back to the base. Aero, Inou, Kiri, and Lyra seemed to have already been there. He padded over silently before sitting down near them, he didn't recognize Kiri or Lyra in the least. Despite Lyra being a guard uniform he ascertained she was one of the ones on their side. He also assumed Kiri was the person they were after. "MISSION SUCCESS?" He asked, tilting his head at them slightly.

Zenith smiled and witty replied" I could bump it up to get the party fully going but i find it's much more fun to test older women like you and see how you react so far i'm enjoying the reactions i'm getting". The main dishes finally came along with one more fruit cocktail she put them down on the table in front of them both and the women looked and noel and teasing said"She has some good sized Fun Bags it's not often you women like her these days i'm sure you two will be busy at some point", she then playfully love tapped Zenith face before heading back to the kitchen.


Isaac's regeneration started to kick in at last and as he continues to dodge attacks when he heard the retreat call and said" Next time we'll finish it properly when i get to make full use of my ability's, even though i hate assassins and such i give credit where it's due and that was a fun fight i haven't been able to cut lose properly for a little while now".





Back at base spice began to run the bath for sera putting in some healing mix to help speed healing even more since it has only been half a day or so at most.


She couldn't help but be annoyed with herself as well yes she saved her best friend but she didn't kill any of the assassin which she really wanted to do. After a few minutes the bath was full and spice called out" Sera the bath's ready please spend about thirty minutes in there so the healing mix helps heal your wounds quick".

Noel's eyebrows raised a little bit and a small smirk appeared on her face. "Older women? God, you're making me feel like I'm 40." She teased, winking at him and before closing her eyes. She was exhausted, no doubt about it, but she still had a lot of energy left. However, her eyes shot open when the waitress said that she had "big fun bags." The hell? She thought, glancing down at her chest with a small blush. I guess she's right...

Ciri only got more made when he continued to dodge her attacks, even further when he started regenerating like her. She gave up trying, however, when the call for retreat was given by the guards and Fujio. She glared at Issac momentarily, "Next time I'll beat that smart ass attitude out of you." She told him bluntly before turning and running back towards Fujio. Snatching him up onto her back as she passed him in one fluid motion she made her way back towards the base, "Sorry that you didn't get to fight too Fujio-Kun, at-least you're alright." She told him as she ran.


"Everyone else make it out okay?" She asked, slowing down as they reached the outside of the base and putting him down. To her knowledge, though she didn't really pay attention at all, no one got wounded badly..aside from her dress.

Sera groaned as she forced her body to move from her chair against its many painful protests when Spice told her the bath was ready. Shedding her clothes outside the door to the bathroom she tossed them into the hamper, she grimaced as she looked at her naked form in the mirror. She was more beat up than original thought, small cuts and bruises as well as several puncture holes lined her body alongside exsisting scars.


Could be worse, could be dead. She thought, shrugging. She wasted no time to get into the tub when she entered the room, not that she particularly cared if Spice saw her, but mostly due to the fact the quicker she was in the quicker the herbs would take effect. Relaxing more once the warm water hit her she let out a small sigh. "Guess you win." She told her, grinning. "Oh well, even if I lost I still have you to take care of me at-least. Though, I kind of feel useless. I served to be nothing more than a bullet sponge and a pin cushion." She added, sighing.


Though, with this over, she was going to definetely put in for some off time. Several would-be major injuries should be enough to get at-least a few days off, right?

Outside of Alice's window, the wind was heavily blowing, the tree just outside of her window being pushed to the side as the wind violently shakes the oak tree around. On the most mid level branch, however, there was a small, silvery feathered owl peering into Alice's window. However, Alice wouldn't be able to see the owl since it was so far hidden inside the tree.

The mermaid and boy plummets towards the canyon floor. Avyn screams her master's name but the boy is unresponsive and continues to fall head first towards the ground. The Teigu scowls and kicks her tail to a faster fall. Water stirs below but with the river clogged, the water she is able to gather under Katsudou will not be enough to break his fall at the rate he is falling. The girl grabs his leg and she yanks Katsukou will all her might upward and lets go of him. Her back arches towards the ground with her attempt to slow down Katsukou's fall. Her body cuts through the pool of water and her body breaks upon impacting the canyon rock. Katsukou falls into the pooled water and sinks into the weapon's limp, open arms.


With Katsukou safe in the liquid's grasp, the water darts away from the scene. Her master's unprotected face is red and black and angry blister decorates the boy. His eyes are nearly burnt shut and what orange iris Avyn can see is unfocused. His long black fringe is burnt short and so is his mask, leaving his bottom face of his face and neck red. They need to get to the Night Raider. That is all Avyn can rationalize as her water escapes.

Spice kissed sera softly and then pulls back and playfully grinned as she was told she won even though deep down she didn't feel like she won much of anything but kept the bad emotions hidden this time not wanting to put anymore pressure on sera seeing how down she is, then said" Next time we'll win and don't worry about the bet i wouldn't feel right doing that to you in you condition also i hear isaac ability will help speed up the recovery so i'll ask him to make something for you because i want to see that beautiful smiling face of your because it really hurts when i see you like this".





Zenith smiled widely as he saw noel blushed then said"All that aside for me it's not about age but how well i get on with them, i've often found young girls with the exception to the rule are far to much maintenance in more ways that one and i can't love a girl or a woman that tries to chain me down before i know what my true feeling are for them maybe i'm old considering what age i should be acting" Zenith went silent and started eat his pie and in between slowly eat his pie and other vegetables. she's a free spirit like the wind up till recently i wasn't sure what it meant to be free and even though my sister sometimes annoys the crap out of me i can always count of her to have my back.

Fujio shrugged his shoulders as Ciri hustled him back to base. He was very grateful to have someone who would carry him such great distances. He just hoped it didn't tire her out. "No, it's fine. I'm glad that you were safe. Was it a fun fight?" He asked as he was dropped off, climbing off her back and stretching his arms.


Noel nodded and began to work at the main course, eating in silence. The speed she ate at was insane, and she would soon be finished with her food. She listened to Zenith talk, her eyes looking into his. What a great guy so far. I just hope he can keep up with me... Noel was a fast girl, always looking for new jobs and new places to be. But if things got serious between them, then she would ace to tone it down. Not long after she had finished her food and her drinks, and was officially stuffed. "Damn. That was good."





Alice kept crying, completely oblivious to the owl outside. Right now she felt so lonely and useless. I'm sure Night Raid would be better off without me. She thought, nodding slightly and placing a hand on her hip, gripping the handle of knife. Her negative thoughts were corrupting her mind, and everything within her was saying to to off herself. Besides, if she did such a thing then she could finally be with Santios again! Alice drew out the knife and held it by her neck, but hesitated in moving.

On the outside of the window, the owl hoots once, twice, three times before she grabbed the knife, but quietly enough so she couldn't hear the owl. Suddenly, outside, the clouds start to clear up as the sun brightly shines down onto her window, as if a holy spirit was watching over Alice. Suddenly, the window bursts open as a large ray of light shoots into the room, illuminating the entire room, even the cracks that are under her door. A gloved hand grabs the knife covering the blade and pushing it away from her neck. The owner of the hand was a cloaked figure, now standing right in front of Alice. The cloaked figures other hand brushes her tears away as his hood slips off his head, revealing a head of familiar golden blonde hair, two familiar emerald like eyes, and a smile that could never be mistaken with anything else. It was Santios.

Gilroy was still nowhere to be seen, until suddenly...


Out of nowhere, a huge cloud passes in front of Francesca, and Gilroy steps out, looking at her.


"I guess we need to look like we're fighting to not blow your cover?"

Francesca stopped. The cloud, this person is also the one who created the fog. One of a Night Raid members, definitely. And he knew who she is. There isn't many people inside the Rebels who know about her unless they have an important mission to do... Or an important position.


Francesca replied with a nod, clutching her fist and raised it under her chin.


"I won't hold back." Francesca warned. "And i hope that you won't, too."

Zenith smiled softly after he finished his food and as noel looks into his eyes keeping his cool then said" Thanks for not getting all weirded out from that sometimes the stuff i say can be misunderstood and yeah the food's great here and i like them". Zenith motioned one of the big sisters over and she came with a piece of paper then said" Oh yeah i almost forgot we forgot to pay you for the hunting job last month it was thanks to you that we don't have to worry about the meat for a while, but i still have to charge you for the drinks i'd get my ass handed to me by the manager if i didn't i'd rather not deal with that"


She wrote down the amount for the drinks and placed it on the table and kissed the top of zeniths head the smiled softly then stood back up.


Zenith looks at the bill and takes out a small pouch and hands it to her and then gets up and downs his drink then waits by the door so he can open it for noel.

Kiri wiped her tears away as she looked up to her big brother and best friend "painfully right as always...." She grabbed her imperial arm and turned around "anyone need a medic?" She asked everyone


Aero smiled that was his little sis always trying to help he turned to Lyra laughing "so I guess your cover is blown huh Lyra? Oh well you never fit well as a guard anyways" he laughed "so you going back to hq?"

When everything had been payed for and they were ready to leave, Noel took the last sip from her drink and walked over to Zenith. Instead of letting him open the door her, she just walked out and didn't even bother to hold the door open. She didn't know it was rude to do such things, and never really was one for manners. "What now?" She called out, waiting for Zenith to come out of the pub.


Alice's eyes widened as the window bursts open and the light shined in, though she didn't once look back. As amazing as the sight was, it didn't really seem to phase her. Maybe this always happened to people who knew they were going to die, the mind playing tricks and trying to calm you down. Seeing this as a sign she brought the knife closer to where it was touching her skin, but before she could finish the knife was suddenly taken away, and Santioswas there. She let out a gasp of surprise and shock, and stared up at him. Was this the real Santios? But he was killed! Maybe it was some sort of terrible joke, an illusion, or maybe even someone sent to kill her? But none of that mattered, as it was still Santios. In one swift motion she leaped up and wrapped her arms around him tightly, her sobbing face pressed against his chest.

"Unfortunately, yes. I was planning on going back and be a spy for the HQ but I'm afraid things didn't go that way. After all, saving Kiri was more important, right?" She stood up and dusted herself, laughing along with him at the thought of her being a loyal guard. Afterwards, she sighed. "Yeah, I'm probably going to go back to HQ. My report to them was long overdue. Besides, I don't think my presence here is required." she smiled sadly before glancing at her best friend. Kiri would most likely stay with her brother now. Her? She had responsibilities to fulfill back at the base or at least, that's what she tells herself.

Santios smiles again as she jumps into his arms. He was so glad to have her again, her soft skin, her beautiful silvery hair, everything about her. He looks into her eyes, his emerald eyes having something a little different about them, as if there was a fire right behind them, illuminating his eyes even more. Also, his head was perfectly fixed and set back on his body. Something else be as also different. Underneath his shirt, there was light glowing from his chest, but from what?


"Looks like I came just in time, huh?"

"How are you still here?" Alice asked, staring at him in awe. "I saw you killed! Your head was cut off!" Her eyes caught notice of his chest and the glow that it was emitting. Her hand found its way there and she pressed her hand against his chest. "And why are you glowing? What happened to you?"

Zenith sighed as he exited the pub knowing it was pointless to get angry after all most pirates don't have manners but as least she thanked him for the meal that would of really cheesed him off, he thought about noel's question then took advantage and playfully wraps his arm around her waist and uses the other hand to put the necklace on and says in a smoky voice to tease her" Yep blue really does suit you down to the ground i wonder what you look like in a dress", Zenith stays there and see how she reacts wanting to capture the mood from before.

"Well, my sister was very angry that I was killed. So, she forced Alzie to go and retrieve the necessary equipment to make a human corpse into a Teigu. And so, he did, and he retrieved the gem for me. The phoenix danger beast, one of the 12 most ancient Danger Beasts. And now, I'm your Teigu Alice."
