"This owl might look like an idiot, but he will be our flying aid. He scouts around in the air. Also, that spray paint won't work. Its really humid in the forest, so that stuff will probably be way too wet to be used. But you won't need it in the first place. If there are wires, you will see the mildew on them."

"Just stop being a prick and make sure that nothing snuck in by the training grounds, that's all I ask."

Kyou merely waved dismissively at Santios as he went out to thew training grounds "Anyone here who isn't supposed to be? You should probably answer...it could get messy~"

Arden didn't seem to notice Sin staring at her for the short few seconds for she was staring off to the side as she watch everyone wake up to either make or feed breakfast. I should probably go eat breakfast after th- Snapping out of her thoughts as she looked back up at Sin who asked her about what she'd been doing previous. Now that she thought about it, it had slipped her mind of what she had been doing before this.


"I was getting a glass of water because I felt dizzy.. Then I saw you on the couch and got you a blanket since getting a cold would be the last thing we need." Blinking twice as she looked up at Sin, the thought and smell of food made her stand up after she finished her sentence. "You should find more time to sleep, you don't know when it'll be the last time you'll be able to get sleep." Advising him with a blank stare as she picked up the empty glass, "Also," Glancing back at him, "you have soft cheeks." Feeling the need to mention as she continued to walk to the kitchen.


Once in the kitchen, Arden saw Santios preparing breakfast for everyone. Food.. As she put the glass cup away, Arden grabbed her serving of food, which was more of sweet then savory foods. She sat down at the table as she watched the lovers interact, picking away at her plate that looked too big for a girl her size. "Morning." Taking a rather large bite of a pancake, her blank expression didn't seem to change which was rather an odd sight to see, especially when eating as much as she did.

Polin grinned then said" Ok so we have an owl that's good and my spray isn't like others it's made from alchemy based chemical so while it definitely wouldn't be effective in a volcano or deep under water the forest isn't a problem".


That aside it can be used in a number of other ways as well, don't get me wrong sir it's just i like to be prepared so i always have a few items i make with me at all times".


In polin's mind for now i'll let you get away with it Tremki but i have a few inventions you'd be perfect for i can't wait to see how you react when i test them on you.

Sin was surprised at her answer..'Never getting to sleep again..' it was something painfully obvious yet Sin had failed to think that to himself..Ever really, his response was instantly interrupted after Arden left mentioning Sin's soft cheeks to him. Bringing up his right hand to his cheek he squished it himself; It was probably not the most 'normal' thing to do so he let go and got up. Joining the others at the dining table he got himself a pancake and starting digging in, moving from one pancake to the other it almost felt like there wasn't enough there. Sin enjoying every taste of it looks back up to Santios "You know what, If you're ever leaving you have to teach me how to cook first..I've tried before..." memories flashing back in his mind he seemed disgraced in himself "Did NOT end well.." he sighed and looked back up to Santios "Anyway, any important news as of late?"

Alexis nodded when Alexander handed her the paper, looking it over briefly and putting it in her satchel. More accurately folding it and crumpling it so it would fit in said satchel. It was at that point, against all her wishes, Tremki showed up. Sighing internally she waved at him, though didn't speak so as to not draw to much attention to herself.


When Alexander went over the plan for scouting, or rather the pairings, Alexis nodded in agreement. At-least I didn't get stuck with Tremki. She thought to herself. When Polin suggested to use animals to scout the area ahead, Alexis was going to say something along the lines that agreed, but as she opened her mouth Tremki had decided to open his and make his way over to Polin.


Alexis simply kept her mouth shut and watched the conversation un-fold, as long as they didn't decide to start murdering each other everything should be fine..she hoped. Thankfully, the conversation ended without bloodshed. Alexis had half expected Tremki to stab Polin or something.


Alexander then at that point pointed out that, Alzie would in-fact be the scout. Alexis stared at the bird, it did look kinda dumb, she hoped Alexander knew what he was talking about. Alexis flinched a bit when Tremki drew his dagger(I'm just going to assume he did since you used past tense), though, everyone in the room was armed so it didn't bother her much.


"Aside from the pairing, what's the plan, sir? Just a simple scouting mission or are we to engage targets when we see them?" Alexis asked Alexander.

Santios slides over the papers to Sin as he smiles.


"Teach you how to cook? I'm sure we can find time to do that. Anyway, apparently some of us have been spotted. Three sightings, no more, no less. Not only that, but the East Mountain needs to be quickly excavated. They might need our help later. And we still have that one Imperial Arms, Sin. It's really powerful, and its dangerous to have it here. What do you plan to do with it?" (He is referring to Ìguru)





Alexander looks at Alexis, and says only a few more things before he walks out of the room.


"Engage immediately. If there are more than you and your group, stall for the others. Before I leave, Alzie will drop off a flare for all of you. Your mission shall start now."





And with that, Alexander walks out of the room as Alzie drops down a flare for each person before following his master.

Kyou walked back in and tried to walk to his room without being noticed, mainly because he didn't want to deal with anyone...it was becoming too much work. ESPECIALLY since Santios had mentioned that some assassins had been spotted

Haru woke up to the light entering the window. It was now officially morning. The sun was already up in the sky, signifying that she had overslept but the throbbing in her head told her she still needed sleep. She dismissed it, being used to lack of sleep already with her lifestyle. As she got up, the first thing she looked for was her katana, which had been in her hands throughout the night. Next, she searched for Kyou but it seemed she was still alone in the room... or so she thought. She could feel someone else's presence inside. In fact, the person didn't bother to hide the evidence of their presence. The door of the restroom opened. Haru was ready to strike the intruder but when the person exited, she realized who it was.


"Master?" she uttered, surprised that she was found quickly.


"Ah, Haru. You're awake. Took you long enough." The younger one could feel the venom in her voice.


"I'm sorry for not returning. I couldn't do so."


"That's alright. Looking at your wounds earlier, I figured you were drugged. Now... How did that happen? You trusted someone, didn't you?" Haru flinched. It's true that her misfortune was caused by trusting someone to tend to her wounds but her mind also thought of Kyou. She nodded ever so slightly. Her master grabbed her by her shirt. "You really want to die, don't you?! If you want to live, then follow what I thought you. You. Can't. Trust. Anyone!" And with that, she let go. "I got you another request from a civilian. Fortunately for you, the person he wanted dead is neither an Imperial Guard nor a member of the Night Raid. Just another civilian. Your target won't go anywhere so take your time." The brunette would rather not move too much right now, but she nodded, accepting the mission. She was given information on her target, as well as her kimono to change. Having done her duty, her master left without another word.


"Don't trust anyone." she repeated. Her hand ran over the hilt of her katana down to the rose.

Kyou got to his room and sat on his bed, suspended in the air by wires "....Ah screw it!" Jordan jumped out of bed and shot wires at the window and used them as a slingshot to fly out of the hideout and swing off towards where Haru was.

Haru opened her eyes, believing she had enough rest to move. Kyou said all she needed was enough rest and food. As for the food, there should be plenty downstairs. She changed into her white kimono with her katana placed at her side. She took the necklace from the hilt and wore it around her neck, her fingers lingering around the rose. She was glad her master failed to see the necklace, else she would never hear the end of her reprimanding. She looked back out the window. Kyou assured her that they would meet again but he never told her when. He had his own duties, she had hers. She left the room and went downstairs.


Whispering started once she arrived at the bar. She could pick up a few of their conversations and she knew they were mostly about her, but she paid no heed to them. All she knew is that these people were just the same. She sat at a more isolated area but someone came up beside her. "Hey, was this the one you were talking about? That blood-covered one brought here last night by the boy? You never told us she was pretty." the person asked the bartender. It didn't take a genius to know who this guy beside her was talking about. She scoffed and left the area but before she could get far, the man took hold of her arm. "Where are you going miss?" His grip on her arm was tight but she made no effort to escape his grasp.


"Let go." she commanded but he only laughed at her.


"That's rude miss. I only wanted to talk. Now sit down." He pulled her small frame easily, forcing her to sit back down. She was losing her patience with him. If he doesn't stop soon, she'll end up killing him as well. "What brings you h—"


"I said let go, you scum." Her threat only managed to anger him. He stood up, his grip on her tightening painfully but as retaliation, she unsheathed her sword and placed the sharp edge on his arm. "This is my last warning. Let. Go." Much to her dismay, she was attracting too much attention on herself.

Kyou grabbed the man by his shoulder, the sharp fingertips of his gauntlets digging into the man, puncturing his skin "Pardon me good sir, but you seem to be bothering the lady, you should leave before I really get angry~"


Kyou's voice was polite but his eyes were dark with malicious intent, confirming that he wouldn't hesitate to kill this man if he didn't leave. Kyou dug his fingers deeper into the man's shoulder just in case the man was too stupid for subtlety.

Finally, she got the reaction she wanted from the man. As the sharp blade threatened to penetrate his skin, his grip on her loosened. Someone else threatening the man was the final push that got him to let go all together and he walked away with a heavy gruff. Haru quickly recognized the person who helped her... again. "Well Sir, you just saved him his arm." she said before walking past him. She gave the people still watching a cold glare, enough for them to look away.

"Yes, that's a fine idea." Megumi said, giving Alexander a quick nod. "I say we all get some breakfast and set out. There is no telling how long it will take to find them." She stood up from his seat and looked over to Alexis and nodded to her. "Shall we eat?"

Polin nodded then said humorously "ay Tremki you little git if you try and steal my food i'll cut your fingers off i hope you went doing something you weren't meant to be doing" Even though polin was putting a joke for them the other half isn't a joke when he's hungry it's hands of you mongrel and you'd have to have a death wish to test your luck.

Takume carefully got up putting his empty plates in the sink "santios I know how to cool but not nearly that good...thank you for breakfast" he leaned on the counter to support himself you could tell he wasn't fully recovered "anything you need me to do today? chores, training, perimeter check, ect. ." He seemed eager to get back out there and help

Kyou followed after Haru, he smiled at everyone she glared at because that was just who he was. He then addressed Haru saying "That's a cold reception....and I even managed to slip away to come back and see you~"

Polin laughed it off then said" Nah i'm closer to that of a big cat that a dog speaking of which have you ever heard the saying don't stick your head in the lions mouth it's a saying that far to many people don't learn soon enough" In polin's mind it's fun to have a kid with some spunk but depending on the level i might have to rough him up just a little for him to come back to reality and learn not to mess with others.

She also turned to scowl at him when he smiled at the watchers. "What's the point in smiling at them? What do you expect to gain in such simple actions?" she asked him. She doubted she'd interact with those people again, and neither was she planning to do so. It felt like him smiling at them was a wasted effort. "I also didn't ask you to leave your duties and come here. I can handle myself. In fact, I didn't expect to see you again this soon." she continued before pausing and leaning on a pillar. She rubbed her arm unconsciously. "But I guess I don't mind seeing you."

Kyou replied to Haru "People respond better to kindness than fear...most know that I am capable of wiping them out without a second thought, but they also know that I will not attack unprovoked~." Kyou listened to her words and smiled at her last sentence. "You didn't have to ask me to leave...I WANTED to see you~"

"I was taught that relationships were only a bother, so I never made an effort to maintain any connections." She returned to her walk out the inn, allowing silence to reign over them before she spoke again. "Is that so?" she replied, referring to him actually wanting to see her. Her heart throbbed painfully again. She wasn't quite sure what brought his interest on her, but she didn't want to ask about it either despite wanting to know what was so interesting about... her. Her thoughts returned to the mission. If the information was right, her target should be out chopping trees at this hour. That should make her job easier and even though she never told him about her actual job, he might have an idea about it considering their conversation last night and her past with him gave off hints.

"You're right about that. He may be new, but this powerful of a Teigu can't just be roaming around. I'll keep an eye on the kid, don't worry."





Santios turns over to Alice, tilting his head.





"Hey, do you wanna come into the forest with me later. I found a location that you might really like."

Alice looked up at Santios and gave him a quick nod. "I'd love to come with you!" She said happily, standing up from her seat with her plate in hand. "When are we leaving?"
