Nadia Vorona
"The heart can be a prison; only through the will to break free can we truly live." Nadia Vorona
Name: Nadia Vorona
Nicknames/Aliases/Titles: The Marionette, The human puppeteer
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Panromantic Asexual
Species: Human
Allegiance(s): Revolutionary Army, Night Raid
Occupation/Rank: Night Raid Rookie, Assassin, lieutenant in the Revolutionary Army
APPEARANCEHeight: 5'7" (170 cm)
Weight: 130 lbs (59 kg)
Persona and background
Personality
Nadia Vorona is a pragmatic and resilient individual shaped by the hardships of her past. Quiet and reserved by nature, she speaks only when necessary, preferring to let her actions communicate her intentions. Despite her silence, she is far from passive—when Nadia speaks, her words carry weight, and she doesn’t allow others to push her around. She has a sharp mind and a knack for getting her point across clearly and concisely.
In stressful situations, Nadia remains calm and calculating. Her experiences have taught her to suppress panic, analyze her surroundings, and act with precision. This composure makes her an effective assassin and a dependable ally in high-pressure scenarios. She is the type of person who always has a contingency plan and rarely makes impulsive decisions.
Despite her hardened exterior, Nadia possesses a deeply empathetic side that she rarely shows. Having lost her own family, she sees herself as a motherly figure to some of the younger members of the Revolutionary Army. She offers guidance, protection, and quiet encouragement to those who need it, though she does so in her own subtle way.
Her time as a slave has left its mark on her. While she has recovered physically and emotionally, she remains haunted by memories of her past. This fuels her hatred for the Empire and her dedication to the Revolutionary Army’s cause. Nadia does not enjoy killing but accepts it as a necessary part of her mission. She views assassination not as an act of vengeance but as a calculated means of dismantling the Empire’s oppressive system.
Nadia is fiercely loyal to the Revolutionary Army and its ideals. She fully embraces their cause and is willing to sacrifice her life to see it succeed. However, her quiet nature and her lack of close friendships make her something of a lone wolf within the organization. She has no mentor, no rivalries, and no strong bonds with anyone in Night Raid—at least not yet.
As a relatively new member of Night Raid, Nadia is determined to prove her worth. She approaches her missions with unwavering focus and takes her responsibilities seriously. While she doesn’t seek validation from others, she hopes to earn the respect of her new comrades through her actions.
Nadia’s greatest strength lies in her ability to adapt. Whether in combat, infiltration, or everyday life, she adjusts to new situations with ease. Her years of slavery taught her to endure hardship, follow orders, and blend into her surroundings without drawing attention. These qualities have made her an exceptional assassin and a valuable asset to the Revolutionary Army.
BACKSTORY
Nadia Vorona was born into slavery in an Empire-controlled city. Her family, once free citizens, had been captured during a military raid on their village and sold into servitude. Nadia’s father was sold separately, sent to a labor camp where he eventually succumbed to exhaustion and mistreatment. Her mother and elder brother, however, remained with her, assigned to the same noble household.
The three endured years of harsh labor and abuse together, relying on each other for emotional strength. Nadia’s mother tried to shield her children from the worst of their captors’ cruelty, often taking punishments meant for them. Her brother, a few years older than Nadia, worked tirelessly in the stables, dreaming of someday escaping and bringing their family to freedom.
But as time passed, hope dwindled. When Nadia was ten, her mother fell ill from overwork and lack of proper care. Unable to perform her duties, she was deemed useless and was publicly executed as an example to the other slaves. Nadia and her brother were left to grieve in silence, knowing that any display of sorrow could lead to punishment.
Not long after, her brother attempted to escape, desperate to break free of their chains and find a better life for Nadia. The attempt failed, and he was killed by the guards as Nadia watched, powerless to intervene. The loss of her family left her alone in the world, and for the first time, she felt the full weight of her enslavement.
Despite her grief, Nadia resolved to survive. She became quieter, more observant, and more calculating. She learned how to navigate the whims of her masters, how to avoid unnecessary punishments, and how to blend into the background while never losing sight of the faint spark of hope that she might one day escape.
Her life changed again when she met another slave, a man captured by the Empire after surrendering himself to save his family. This man, a skilled fighter and strategist, noticed Nadia’s resilience and potential. In secret, he began teaching her the basics of hand-to-hand combat, passing on techniques that could help her defend herself or even escape if the opportunity arose.
Their bond was a dangerous one. The overseers kept a close eye on the slaves, and any hint of rebellion was met with swift and brutal punishment. One day, their secret was exposed when a desperate slave betrayed them to curry favor with their masters. Nadia’s mentor was dragged away in chains, accused of conspiring against his captors.
Nadia never saw him again. Whether he was executed or sent to a labor camp, she could only guess. Though devastated by the loss, she never forgot what he had taught her. His lessons became a part of her, ingrained into her very being, and she silently vowed to honor his memory by fighting for her freedom—and the freedom of others.
At the age of 14, Nadia was sold to a new master after spending years in the same household. This master, a high-ranking Empire official, was known for his sadistic cruelty and delighted in tormenting those under his control. Nadia endured months of his abuse, her hatred for the Empire growing with every passing day.
Her chance for freedom came unexpectedly. One evening, alone with her captor, she saw an opening and acted. Drawing on the combat skills her mentor had taught her, she fought back with precision and ferocity, catching him off guard. Though he was physically stronger, Nadia’s speed and determination won out, and she managed to kill him with her bare hands.
Unbeknownst to her, the Revolutionary Army had chosen that very night to attack the estate. As chaos erupted and guards scrambled to defend their master, Nadia emerged from the shadows, bloodied but alive. The rebels, surprised to find a slave who had freed herself, quickly recognized her potential.
When the dust settled, Nadia stood amidst the wreckage, her chains broken and her captor slain. The Revolutionary Army offered her a choice: to live a quiet life far from the Empire’s reach or to join them and fight against the system that had enslaved her. For Nadia, the choice was clear.
Though malnourished and battered, Nadia’s body had already been hardened by years of slave labor. After receiving proper care and training from the Revolutionary Army, she quickly recovered and developed a physique built for grace and speed. Her combat skills, honed during her time as a slave, gave her an edge over many recruits, and her discipline and adaptability made her a standout asset.
Her knowledge of noble households and the Empire’s inner workings proved invaluable. She knew how to navigate their labyrinthine estates, how to blend in among servants, and how to anticipate the movements of Empire officials. This expertise, combined with her combat abilities, made her a natural fit for infiltration and assassination missions.
Over the next decade, Nadia became a trusted operative for the Revolutionary Army. Her unwavering loyalty to their cause and her willingness to take on even the most dangerous missions earned her a reputation as a skilled and reliable assassin.
Eventually, her efforts caught the attention of Night Raid, the Revolutionary Army’s elite assassination unit. Nadia was selected to join their ranks, replacing fallen members and bringing her unique skills to the team. Though she had not yet met her new comrades, she was determined to prove herself worthy of the mantle she now carried.
As she stepped into her new role, Nadia carried with her the memory of her family, her mentor, and all the others who had suffered under the Empire’s tyranny. Her resolve was unshakable, her purpose clear: to dismantle the system that had stolen her childhood and to ensure that no one else would endure the horrors she had faced.
Fighting Style
Nadia Vorona’s fighting style is a blend of speed, precision, and head-to-head confidence. She uses her entire body with grace and purpose, combining quick and deliberate movements with feints, dodges, and evasive maneuvers to create openings for her strikes. While she avoids direct confrontations when possible, she is more than capable of standing her ground and fighting head-to-head when necessary. Her style thrives in both one-on-one duels and multi-enemy scenarios.
Nadia’s movements are sharp, calculated, and versatile. She excels at maintaining a dynamic, fluid motion, constantly adapting to her opponent's techniques. Her attacks are precise, targeting critical areas and exploiting weaknesses with ruthless efficiency. She combines agility and technique to turn her opponent’s strength against them, using evasions and counters to wear them down while keeping herself out of harm's way.
Despite her focus on evasion, Nadia’s combat experience allows her to engage in direct confrontations with confidence. Her agility and tactical intelligence allow her to neutralize even physically stronger opponents by staying one step ahead, redirecting their attacks, and exploiting their vulnerabilities. Her adaptability and creative problem-solving make her a dangerous opponent, even in prolonged battles.

Teigu
Marionette of the Flesh
Marionette of the Flesh takes the form of a sleek black choker, adorned with subtle metallic accents. The collar is lined with delicate etchings that glow faintly when the Teigu is activated, serving as a visual cue of its power.
A series of hidden, near-invisible strings are embedded within Nadia’s body, seamlessly linking her limbs and joints to an unseen force. These strings are intricately woven into her nervous system, allowing her to manipulate her own movements with marionette-like precision and agility. Because the strings are directly connected to her brain, there is no delay between thought and action. The instant her brain signals a movement, her body reacts without hesitation, making her movements incredibly fluid, precise, and fast.
While this power is primarily used to control Nadia's own movements, she can also manipulate others by making physical contact. Once Nadia touches another person for at least a solid second, the strings latch onto them, allowing her to control their movements. This control lasts for a duration of three seconds per touch, for the stronger individual this duration is shortened to sometimes just a single movement. However, Nadia doesn’t need to activate the strings immediately after contact—if she chooses, she can wait to initiate control, as long as she hasn't made contact with another person in the meantime.
When her strings are controlling someone else, a faint, almost invisible string-like aura is visible, connecting her and the target. This connection is vulnerable to external interference, and the strings can be severed if cut by a strong enough attack, causing the target to regain control of their own body.
Abilities
- Instantaneous Reaction: The strings are connected to Nadia’s nervous system, so the millisecond her brain signals for action, her body reacts with no delay.
- Body Control: Nadia can extend her strings to control other people, allowing her to manipulate their movements for up to 3 seconds after making contact.
- Manipulation of Body Movements: Nadia can manipulate the posture and actions of those she controls, using them for combat or to disarm her enemies.
- Self-Enhancement:
The strings extend from the choker into her body, supporting her movements and allowing her to perform actions that would otherwise be anatomically impossible. She can twist, leap, and contort with precision and grace, turning her body into a weapon of fluid motion.
Trump Card(s)
- Marionette's Mastery: When activated, Nadia can fully control her own body with complete precision, making every movement flow perfectly without any resistance and enhancing her strength to new levels. This ability makes her quicker and more agile, allowing her to execute techniques that would otherwise be impossible. The more prolonged this ability is used, the greater the toll it takes on her stamina and health, limiting her to short bursts of activity.

BACKSTORY
Viktor Gellian was born into a family of modest means in the Empire's capital, growing up amidst the grandeur of the Emperor’s rule. From a young age, he displayed a natural aptitude for combat and discipline, quickly rising through the ranks of the Imperial Guard. By his early 20s, Viktor was already recognized as a prodigy with the staff, combining unparalleled skill with unwavering loyalty to the Empire.
In his mid-20s, Viktor married his childhood sweetheart, a kind and intelligent woman named Anya. Together, they had two children, and for a time, Viktor’s life seemed perfect. He balanced his military duties with his role as a husband and father, finding joy and purpose in both. However, tragedy struck when his family was killed during a raid on a supply convoy resupplying one of the empires War fronts. The loss shattered Viktor’s heart, leaving him a hollow shell of the man he once was.
The death of his family sent Viktor into a spiral of grief and rage that defined the next two decades of his life. From his late 20s to his late 40s, Viktor became a man consumed by his hatred for rebellion and disloyalty. Anyone who dared speak out against the Empire, no matter how minor their dissent, was met with swift and brutal punishment. He personally led purges in villages suspected of harboring rebels, ensuring that not even a whisper of insurrection would go unanswered.
During this time, Viktor’s once measured and disciplined approach to combat was replaced with a relentless brutality. His staff, once a tool of precise strikes and counters, became a weapon of overwhelming force, breaking bones and morale in equal measure. Stories of his ruthless efficiency spread throughout the Empire, earning him both fear and admiration.
Amid the chaos and destruction of his crusade against rebellion, Viktor came to what he believed was a revelation, as if the gods themselves had whispered into his ear. The way to end all wars, to bring peace and stability to the land, was simple: all must follow the Emperor’s will. It was only through unwavering obedience to the Emperor that conflict could be eradicated.
To Viktor, this was not merely a strategy but a divine truth. Rebellion, insurrection, and even dissent were nothing but obstacles to this vision of a unified and peaceful Empire. Those who refused to serve were not just enemies of the state; they were enemies of peace itself. He saw himself as the Emperor’s chosen instrument, wielding justice with an iron fist to crush anyone who stood in the way of this divine order.
This conviction fueled Viktor’s ruthlessness during his campaigns. His faith in this "divine mission" allowed him to justify every atrocity he committed. Civilians caught in the crossfire, villages razed to the ground, and even former allies who faltered—all were necessary sacrifices in his pursuit of absolute order.
At the age of 50, Viktor was offered a rare opportunity: the chance to wield Eternal Hour - Tempus, a newly discovered Teigu. Though reluctant to accept it at first, Viktor realized that age was beginning to take its toll on his body, and the Teigu offered him a means to continue serving at the highest level.
The Teigu granted Viktor the ability to manipulate time, enhancing his reflexes and speed to supernatural levels. With it, he could anticipate and counter attacks with precision that seemed almost preternatural. However, the gift came with a price. The Teigu accelerated Viktor’s aging, taking days from his life for every use.
Over the next five years, Viktor’s reputation grew to near-mythic proportions. His enemies spoke of him as a phantom, moving faster than the eye could see, while his allies revered him as an unshakable force on the battlefield. By 58, the toll of the Teigu had aged his body to that of a man in his late 60's, but his mind and spirit remained as sharp as ever.
At 58, Viktor remains a cornerstone of the Imperial Guard. Despite his aged appearance, he is as fearsome as ever, his Teigu ensuring he can still perform his duties with terrifying efficiency. Among the lower ranks, he is both feared and respected, known for his harsh discipline and unrelenting standards. However, to those who know him well, Viktor is a surprisingly jovial and kind man, who values loyalty above all else. For him, the Emperor’s will is absolute, and he will stop at nothing to see it realized.
Personality
Viktor is a man of contradictions. On the surface, he exudes the persona of a strict, no-nonsense leader. He is highly disciplined and expects the same from those under his command. His approach to leadership is straightforward: it’s about order, structure, and unwavering loyalty to the Empire. He has little patience for failure and no tolerance for disobedience, instilling fear in lower-ranking soldiers who recognize his ruthless efficiency. He often leads training sessions himself, both to maintain his own combat skills and to keep his subordinates in line, though some say it’s more about avoiding the tedious paperwork that comes with his role.
Despite his strict demeanor with subordinates, those who are close to him know that Viktor has a sense of humor, albeit one that’s often dry and blunt. These moments of lightness, however, are fleeting. In his heart, Viktor is lonely, burdened by the weight of the role he’s taken on and the sacrifices he’s made along the way. Viktor's jovial and talkative nature, especially around those he considers close, is his way of hiding the loneliness that has come with his ascent in the Empire. He surrounds himself with others, whether they be soldiers or high-ranking officers, in an attempt to fill the emptiness left by the loss of his family and his own humanity. His rambling speeches often serve as a distraction from his growing isolation, a way to avoid confronting the true cost of his choices.
The loss of his family in his prime turned Viktor into someone who believes that the harshest measures are the only way to ensure peace. The death of his children especially hardened him, turning his heart into a fortress. He no longer feels the pang of grief as others might, as the pain has been buried deep under layers of duty and obligation.
Viktor is consumed by the belief that total obedience to the Emperor is the only path to peace and stability. To him, all rebellion and war are the result of people failing to accept this singular truth. He sees himself as a divine instrument—chosen to deliver peace through control and unwavering loyalty to the Empire. His belief in the Emperor's will is absolute, and he has fully embraced the idea that all those who oppose it must be crushed without mercy. To Viktor, the idea of "peace" is not one of harmony, but of absolute, unyielding order. The Emperor’s will is the law, and anyone who refuses to follow it must be eliminated.
Despite this rigid belief, there are moments of doubt. He can feel the weight of the years, both from the physical toll the Teigu has taken on his body and the psychological toll of his actions. As his body ages prematurely, Viktor finds himself slowing down, a reminder that even the strongest forces can be undone by time. This reality leads to internal conflict: while his mind is as sharp as ever, he can feel the loss of his physical power and stamina. He is no longer the man who once wielded his staff with unmatched skill. The Teigu, though a means to prolong his usefulness, only accelerates his aging, and Viktor wonders at times if he is becoming a tool, a mere weapon of the Empire rather than a man with his own will.
Though he remains a force to be reckoned with, Viktor’s internal conflict manifests in brief moments of reflection, where he questions whether he has become a slave to his own power and obsession with duty. Deep down, he fears that his desire for peace—his belief that crushing all dissent will bring stability—may have blinded him to the true costs of his actions. He doesn't often allow himself to dwell on these feelings, but when he does, there’s a flicker of doubt that keeps him up at night.
In combat, Viktor is an unstoppable force, not because of his speed or strength, but because of his singular focus. He is relentless in battle, using every ounce of his remaining vitality to crush his enemies. There is no room for hesitation, no space for second-guessing. He fights as if there is no tomorrow, because, to him, the future is nothing more than a series of victories or defeats in service of the Emperor.
Fighting Style
Viktor’s combat style blends the fluidity of Bartitsu, a martial art with emphasis on both armed and unarmed combat, with the precision of his cane fighting. His Teigu, Eternal Hour - Tempus, amplifies his skill and speed, allowing him to execute strikes and parries with the speed and agility of a much younger man despite his physical aging. In battle, Viktor remains calm and measured, using his cane as both a staff and a weapon, employing a mix of strikes, sweeps, and thrusts to disarm and incapacitate his enemies. His movements are graceful, yet deadly, combining the principles of Bartitsu's close-quarters fighting with the extended reach of his cane. While Viktor can engage in prolonged combat, he excels in controlling the flow of battle. His tactical mind is always at work, analyzing the battlefield and adapting his style to exploit the enemy's weaknesses. His Teigu allows him to speed up or slow down time within a localized bubble, making his attacks seem even more sudden and unpredictable to his foes.
Skills and Talents
Master of Cane Fighting & Bartitsu: Viktor’s background in Bartitsu gives him an eclectic fighting style that incorporates both hand-to-hand techniques and the use of his cane as a staff or striking weapon. He can engage in close combat, trapping limbs, delivering quick jabs, and using leverage to subdue opponents, while also utilizing his cane for defensive maneuvers and as a weapon of surprise.
Tactical Genius: As a General and Guard Commander, Viktor’s battlefield tactics are almost legendary. He excels at manipulating the environment and terrain to his advantage, using well-thought-out strategies to outmaneuver enemies, even in the most complex situations.
Leadership & Intimidation: Viktor is an intimidating presence both on and off the battlefield. While he can be jovial and talkative in informal settings, he commands absolute respect in his role as Commander, with a reputation that precedes him. His leadership is built on a foundation of strength, discipline, and unrelenting force, but he can also inspire loyalty through respect for his experience and wisdom.
Psychological Warfare: Viktor has a natural ability to read people and break their morale. He uses fear and psychological pressure to demoralize his enemies and maintain control of his forces. His very presence on the battlefield is enough to make many of his enemies hesitate.
Experienced Combatant: Viktor’s years of service in the Imperial Guard have honed his instincts and combat reflexes. He can assess an opponent’s strengths and weaknesses quickly, finding ways to exploit vulnerabilities with minimal effort. His ability to react and adapt in the heat of battle is unmatched.
Equipment
Signature Cane: Viktor’s cane is a deceptively simple weapon. While it doesn't hold the powers of a Teigu, it is carefully crafted to resemble a normal walking cane, with a stopwatch embedded in the top, creating the illusion that it might be the source of his Teigu powers. The cane serves multiple purposes: as a weapon for close combat, a tool for defense, and a subtle means of distraction. Viktor can use it to strike at his enemies with quick, precise jabs, swings, or sweeping motions, and its unassuming appearance helps him catch opponents off guard. The cane can also extend to form a longer staff when needed, giving Viktor more reach and making him more versatile in combat.
Imperial Guard Armor: Viktor's armor reflects his rank and experience within the Imperial Guard. It’s less elaborate than that of some of his subordinates but provides him with the essential mobility and protection he needs. Made of durable but lightweight materials, the armor allows him to move fluidly and react quickly in combat. The design is sleek, adorned with Imperial symbols to signify his status, but it's built to be practical, with no unnecessary embellishments. His uniform also has hidden compartments, one of which holds the pocket watch, ensuring that the Teigu remains concealed and out of sight.
Teigu
"Eternal Hour - Tempus"
Viktor's Teigu, takes the form of an unassuming pocket watch that grants him control over the flow of time. It allows him to manipulate his own perception of time, enhancing his reflexes and precision without altering the world around him. He can also accelerate his movements to overwhelming speeds, create afterimages to confuse opponents, and even distort time within a localized bubble, disorienting enemies while strategically adjusting his own pace.
Abilities
-Perception Shift:
When activated, Viktor slows his perception of time, allowing him to see everything around him in slow motion. This enables him to react with extraordinary precision, as he can easily analyze and anticipate the movements of his enemies. His actions appear lightning-fast to others, but within his own perception, everything is slowed down, allowing him to avoid attacks, dodge with ease, and counter with incredible accuracy. This ability doesn't increase his physical speed but gives him the advantage of processing the battlefield in a way that makes him seem faster and more aware than his opponents.
-Accelerated Time: Viktor can speed up time around himself for a short period, greatly enhancing his personal speed and reaction time. This makes him significantly faster and more agile, allowing him to overwhelm opponents with rapid, precise attacks. While this ability does not increase his raw strength, the increased speed of his movements makes his strikes hit with greater force, as the speed at which he delivers them amplifies their impact. However, each use of Accelerated Time accelerates Viktor’s aging process, causing him to age faster with each activation.
-Quick Recovery: Viktor can rewind his own body’s time to restore themselves to a state where they were uninjured or less fatigued. This takes time to do and the user cannot move for several seconds while it take place.
-Temporal Afterimage:
An advanced version of Accelerated Time, Viktor can create multiple afterimages of himself while using Time Distortion. These afterimages move in perfect synchronization with him, creating the illusion that he is in several places at once. This confuses and disorients enemies, making it extremely difficult for them to predict his movements or land a hit. While Viktor remains in one location, the afterimages serve as deceptive decoys, overwhelming opponents with the illusion of constant motion and unpredictability.
-Temporal Bubble:
Viktor can activate a Temporal Bubble around him, distorting the flow of time within a localized area. This bubble can either speed up or slow down time, affecting everyone within its range, including Viktor himself. When the bubble slows time, Viktor is also slowed down, which can make him appear more sluggish than usual. However, he can still use Accelerated Time to speed himself up, though it won't be as fast as if he were unaffected by the bubble’s distortion.
The key advantage of Temporal Bubble lies in Viktor’s ability to control the shift in time. He can alternate between speeding up or slowing down time at will, creating unpredictable changes in the flow of battle. While his enemies struggle to adjust, Viktor is able to anticipate and adapt to the shifts, making it nearly impossible for opponents to predict when the tempo of the battle will change, giving him a strategic edge.
Trump Card(s)
-Reversal of Fate:
Viktor taps into the immense power of his Teigu to briefly manipulate the flow of time, rewinding a specific moment in battle to undo a mistake, misstep, or lost opportunity. By rewinding time for a few seconds, Viktor can take a different course of action, correcting errors in real-time. However, the cost is immense: each second of time rewind consumes two month of Viktor's remaining lifespan, accelerating his aging further. While this ability provides an invaluable edge in critical moments, the consequences of overuse are severe, shortening his life at a catastrophic rate. Once this ability is used it leaves Viktor exhausted he has so far only been able to use it twice in a row for a total of 20 seconds before it left him near passing out, needing to retreat to rest.

Backstory

One fateful day, the Empire’s forces attacked the village without warning, seeking to assert control and eliminate any perceived resistance. The once-quiet settlement became a battlefield as the villagers, led by Haru’s parents, fought to defend their home. Haunted by the loss of his family and home, Haru vowed to honor their sacrifice. Over the years, he trained relentlessly, mastering the abilities of Mirage Aegis and the combat techniques his father had taught him.
Haru’s journey is driven not only by a desire for vengeance but by a commitment to carry forward the dreams of his parents and the villagers who gave their lives for him. Mirage Aegis, forged with his mother’s love and sacrifice, is both his weapon and his reminder of the responsibility he bears. With every step, Haru inches closer to dismantling the Empire and ensuring no one else endures the same tragedy he faced.
Fighting Style:
While haru is calm and composed, his aggressive pole fighting style is a relentless, whirlwind-like assault designed to overwhelm and dominate his opponents. He channels his anger toward the Empire into explosive, precise attacks, blending speed, power, and unpredictability. "Storm Fang" reflects his desire for justice, delivering brutal yet controlled aggression in battle.
Skills & Talents:
Hand to hand and pole combat specialist
Able to cook
Able to play musical instruments
Teigu: amour of Mirage Aegis
Mirage Aegis is a sleek, form-fitting suit of light armor made of an otherworldly metallic material that shimmers like liquid silver under light. It features intricate glowing lines that pulse faintly when activated. The armor is minimalistic, covering the torso, arms, and legs while maintaining agility. It comes with a hood and a half-mask that can be drawn up for additional concealment.
Mirage Aegis can create realistic, fully functional 2 duplicates of haru that mirror his movements and attacks. These duplicates are physical and can deal damage.
The creation of duplicates puts immense strain on Haru's mind and body. Every time a duplicate is formed, Haru experiences "Echo Resonance"—a phenomenon where he feels a portion of the pain and fatigue that his duplicates endure. This connection amplifies as the duplicates sustain damage or perform prolonged actions, leading to disorientation and physical exhaustion.
Additionally, maintaining duplicates requires a constant drain on Haru's stamina and focus. If Haru overuses Mirage Aegis or pushes its limits, the mental and physical strain can overwhelm him, causing him to lose consciousness abruptly. Passing out in battle leaves him completely exposed
Trump Card: Resonant Eclipse
When Haru activates Resonant Eclipse, Mirage Aegis channels its full power into a synchronized assault using him and his duplicates. The duplicates become fully autonomous for a short period, able to fight with advanced coordination independent of Haru's direct control.
Special Attack: Eclipse Barrage
Haru and his duplicates execute a devastating chain attack, striking the target in perfect harmony. Each duplicate focuses on creating openings while Haru delivers the final blow. The coordinated assault overwhelms even the most formidable defenses, bombarding the enemy with an unrelenting flurry of strikes
Activating Resonant Eclipse drastically accelerates Echo Resonance, leaving Haru in an extreme state of fatigue after the technique concludes. His physical strength, reflexes, and mental clarity are significantly reduced, making it difficult for him to continue fighting effectively. While not entirely incapacitated, Haru becomes vulnerable and must recover before regaining full combat capability.

NAME: Yvonne Sabasa Havasu
AGE: 25
GENDER: Female
SEXUALITY: Undetermined
SPECIES: Human
ALLEGIANCE:
Revolutionary Army, Night Raid
OCCUPATION/RANK:
Former Communications Officer and Attaché to the Ministry of Truth
Current spy/intel analyst/communications officer for Night Raid
PERSONALITY & BACKSTORY:
The story of Yvonne Sabasa Havasu is a story that is not at all uncommon in this world. Born in Sabasa, a settlement to the south of the Empire's walls that had been incorporated by the current Emperor's predecessor, life for Yvonne was rough and rustic, but peaceful. Of course, peace rarely lasts for a lifetime, and trouble came sooner rather than later. In her teen years, resistance to the Empire from the other Southern states grew, and the people of Sabasa became increasingly targeted as Imperial collaborators. It was not any kind of coordinated resistance that came to menace them that day, however. What showed up was a band of young rebels, numbering no more than twenty, their numbers having dwindled from a greater total and the bodies of the survivors battered from an earlier skirmish with Imperial patrols that (un)fortunately were able to call for backup.
Despite their injuries, the rebels were not too wounded to stand and raise their weapons, "requesting" the contributions of the people of Sabasa to treat their wounds and replenish their coffers. Some cautiously complied out of generosity, but the second-in-command of the rebels got into a shouting match with Yvonne's father, deriding the Sabasans for submitting to the Empire, and assuring them that once the resistance arrived in force, the Sabasans would have to choose to fall in line with them, or be treated as traitors should. This rapidly erupted into a brawl between the rebels and some of the more belligerent Sabasans that seemed poised to end in bloodshed on both sides.
If not for the Imperial officer and their guards that swept in, using the power of a Teigu to rapidly neutralize the rebels. Some were taken in for...questioning, others laid on the ground, with no further purpose than to feed the farmlands of Sabasa. To many of the older citizens of Sabasa, this incident was a sign. Sabasa was soon to become a flashpoint, and they didn't want to be in the center of it. Some made plans to leave Sabasa and go into hiding, or join up with the resistance and try their luck, out of loyalty to the other people of the region.
To the young and naive Yvonne, however, this incident was inspiration. She wanted to be someone who was brave and strong like that, who could serve in the name of the Empire that had given them so much. Instead of traveling further away, she headed straight to the Empire, enrolling in their military academy. As the years passed, her passion drove her to train and serve with distinction, and a head for numbers and a certain talent for subtlety eventually led her to be assigned not to the front lines, but to the position of Communications Officer, guiding the armed forces, gathering information, and making sure everyone knew exactly what they needed to know in order to hit at their enemies.
Eventually, this extended to work with the Ministry of Truth, where she remained under the watchful but distant eye of Regulus von Marshtal, the Minister of Truth, disseminating information about successes both military and domestic to the citizens and motivating them to consolidate their loyalty. It was good work, and she was satisfied.
One day, she was called upon to make contact with and coordinate several agents who were carrying out an intelligence operation, investigating several noble houses under suspicion that they may be collaborating with the Revolutionary Army. One agent in particular was assigned to monitor H. McCarthy, the second son of the McCarthy clan, a family with close ties to the throne. What the agent found was not a collaborator, but something equally terrible. McCarthy's snooping around and financial vanishing acts were done to enrich himself, by way of smuggling both foreigners and impoverished Imperial citizens within the breadth of the Empire to serve as slaves, experimental subjects for the unethical, or worse.
Shocked by this report, Yvonne rushed to deliver the information to her immediate superior, only to be intercepted by an assassin of Night Raid. They revealed that the agent who was investigating McCarthy had already been murdered, and Yvonne likely would as well in order to avoid ruining the business of a nobleman. Knowing the value of good intel and a skilled spy, they offered her a choice: join the Revolutionary Army and get a chance to properly destroy the Empire that was corrupt from within, or stay and die while holding on to the immediate truth.
She accepted.
Despite the recent shocking twist in her life, Yvonne remains a bright and optimistic person. She understands the value of a few well-placed words, and has a habit (for better or worse) of trying to tailor herself to whoever's present, while also sounding like a cheerful phone operator or disc jockey over the radio. In the end, her sense of morality is stronger than a fixed loyalty, and if she did not see a chance for victory, she would have chosen to give her life rather than join the rebels. But now that she's here, she will help them to win.
FIGHTING STYLE:
Imperial Army Training: Yvonne has no specialized weaponry or fighting style, but is trained to a commendable level in the general infantry combat techniques of the Imperial Army, which includes proficiency in operating and maintaining rifles and pistols, as well as the use of either a baton or combat knife in close quarters on top of unarmed combatives. As a whole, one might say that she has a good chance of killing or subduing any one unenhanced individual, but is unlikely to hold her own for very long against a user of any combat-focused Teigu or Shingu without similar assistance.
SKILLS & TALENTS:
- Military training including combat, athletics, and survival in wilderness environments
- Operation and maintenance of advanced (by this world's standards) electronic systems, specialized in communications infrastructure
- Disguise and impersonation
- Information analysis and dissemination
- Motorcycle riding
EQUIPMENT:
- A pistol and a baton to serve as a basic complement of weaponry
- A modified personal radio that can coordinate with Revolutionary Army frequencies while tapping into any Imperial frequencies that are anything short of highly classified and encrypted
- Several stolen Imperial uniforms and sets of patches and other paraphernalia that can serve as disguises
- A heavy-duty motorbike that was previously deployed by the Imperial Army
TEIGU: (Two ideas right now, I'll lock in once I'm accepted)
After joining the Revolutionary Army, Yvonne was temporarily granted custody of a Teigu retrieved by them for monitoring and safekeeping. Due to it unexpectedly accepting her, she has been given permission to use it at her discretion, though she doesn't rely on it except in emergencies.
Velvet Shell
Quicksilver Cocoon - Velvet Shell
Velvet Shell takes the form of a glass syringe containing three balls of gleaming metal, though there appears to be room for at least three more, totaling six. When the needle is pressed into a living being's body and squeezed, one of the balls rapidly liquifies and coats the injected extremity in a dull metal coating that notably increases its durability and strength, up to a factor of five. This greatly increases one's effectiveness in physically taxing situations, but in the case of only one leg being encased, the recipient must consciously compensate for the altered balance, potentially causing complications. Furthermore, if a severed limb is held to its stump before injection, the whole assembly will function as normal for the effect's duration.
The injection can also be delivered to a recipient's torso (providing a thick layer of armor) or to a recipient's head (the coating completely encases their head, blinding them and muffling their hearing while preventing speech, but also allows them to breathe normally and even inhale toxins without harm).
Without fail, exactly an hour after injection, each individual unit of coating disperses, and the corresponding ball reforms in the syringe.
Trump Card: Full Cowling
At some strain to the user, they can inject all three balls into themselves or a recipient, fully armoring their body at what would usually "cost" five balls. All other limitations still apply.
Snowdrop Storm
Petal Barrage - Snowdrop Storm
Snowdrop Storm takes the form of a brooch worn by the user that resembles a flower with gradually shifting colors. It allows the user to discorporate into a cloud of petals with color of their choice that flies freely as they wish, carrying the brooch with them. While converted, they can move with a high level of freedom and fit into/through any space the brooch itself would. The petals are also invulnerable to physical attacks. Only the brooch itself can be shot, hit, or slashed and it will not be destroyed, though all damage inflicted in this way reflects on the user once they reincorporate. They also maintain a normal level of vulnerability to energy-based attacks like fire or electricity, though hitting the petals to begin with may be easier said than done.
Furthermore, separating/capturing the petals without using energy to harm them does nothing to diminish the user: it is as if their being is centered on the brooch while discorporated, and the petals are merely a projection.
Trump Card: Thousand Cuts
At the moment of discorporation, the user can choose to activate this trump card. For the duration of the transformation, the petals feel solid to living beings, and can severely lacerate anyone the cloud passes around without appropriate protection like sealed armor.
