Blue stood back from the crowd and Ari as well, smiling as he watched the interaction between Ari and her fanbase. The said brunette turned to Red, who opened his mouth to give a smart remark, only to realize his rival was deep in thought. He opened his mouth to snap him out, but the sudden sounds of the strong wings flapping above the large group made him shut up and bring his arm up to block away the sudden harsh winds as the Flygon, which Blue recognized before. When he opened his blue eyes and gazed at the beautiful Flygon that was practically glowing in the moonlight, his mouth was agape.

Not because of the beautiful flygon. But more because of the trainer who jumped off her. Her beautiful chocolate locks swayed in the wind created by her pokemon, shining beautiful in the sun. Her milky-colored skin glowed oh-so beautifully and her form in general was a sight to take in.

She was the most beautiful women Blue had ever set eyes on.

It was when the Flygon cried out, snapping Blue out of his daze. He quickly turned to Red, a bit dazed. "What?" he mumbled, watching Red affectionately rub the Flygon's nuzzle. A faint blush was on the gym leader's cheek but he played it off as the Hoenn's temperature.

Ariada, however recognized the girl and inhaled sharply, holding a quick squeal. She held her hand close to her, a big grin breaking on her face, "Raaaee!! I know you! I totally know you!!" she squealed like a little girl she was. She grabbed the beautiful model's hands with hers and gave her a cheeky smile, "It is such an amazing honor to meet you!! Oh my, gosh it's a pleasure! I'm so glad you like my blogs. You're really one of my inspirations! I have read and seen every video and documents you've been in!" she exclaimed, then gave a soft giggle. "Sorry, sorry. That sounded a bit creepy, but its' true!"

Ari laughed, still grasping her hands as her ginger locks swaying with her movement. "I..I don't know what to say. My, you're such a beautiful women in person. Stunning," she praised with a small wink.

Blue laughed as he watched his best friend and the model exchanges word, his eyes resting on Rae more than both of the actual two.

"Aww, thanks Ariada, that's so sweet of you to say." Her fair skin flushed a little, and even in the dark it was kind of noticeable.

Usually, Elesa was the one to receive praise like this, practically glorified by everyone she passed- Did she blush every time someone complimented her? Rae couldn't say she had. Then again, the gym leader was admirably modest and down to earth, perhaps the praise never went to her head.

"You're a knock out, really, you were just gorgeous on stage, as was your Ampharos. What a doll! And that contest was just foreshadowing what can you can do, I'm sure." She giggled a little as Ariada continued.

"Oh, not creepy at all. And I do love your blogs. I started modeling way before I took up the trainer title, and with my job, I travel, but not the same way a trainer does on their journey. I never actually went on one. I'm itching to, though. Even if I'm a little late."

She sheepishly smiled, "I envy all of your adventures."

The brunette was obviously thrilled to have some one on one with the blogger, despite the crowd of impatient people eagerly awaiting for Rae to wrap it up and go. Well known model or not, some people have celebrity preferences, and these ones appeared to be Team Aristarrr!

Red could hear Ariada squeaking excitedly and broke into a crooked grin. "I think we should go see what has Aristarrr so pumped up," he chuckled, gesturing for his rival to tag along into the audience with him. Had she by chance recognized that young woman to be someone Red didn't know? Pikachu stayed behind to further converse with the overly affectionate Flygon, but the raven haired male decided he should investigate the scene.

He pushed through and found the two women excitedly chatting, almost as if, for the moment, the other fans were hardly there. For someone to catch Ariada's interest to quickly, surely this woman must be of some significance.

"Hey, Ari," He said fondly, briefly touching her shoulder, their skin warn against each others. Words couldn't describe how Ari looked to the champion tonight, but amongst the ones that fluttered through his mind, captivating reigned supremacy.

"That's one Hell of a Flygon, by the way," He told the brunette beside them, his red eyes lit with appreciation. His team, Blue's and Ari's were the toughest he'd come across in a long while other than Levi's Linoone. He was, to say the least, impressed with the Dragon, and oh so curious to know if she had others.

"So you really are traveling with Red, the champion," Rae spoke in awe, instantly recognizing him, to which Red simply grinned at. "What an adventure! And the Viridian city gym leader, too? I haven't been back home in a few years, who's taken over the gym?"

"Blue," Red answered her proudly, introducing his friend, though Red hadn't the slightest idea the male was well aware of this woman's presence.

Upon locking eyes with the man Red introduced to be Blue, Rae nearly froze. Mentally, she scalded herself, speak! Say something! But that was a lost though in the ocean of 'Oh my God, he's breath taking'. His towering height, those vivid eyes, that smirk that made her cheeks red- she'd never seen such a handsome man. And Rae had been around crowds of male models.

She finally managed to remember to inhale and introduce herself properly. Never, ever, ever, had someone made her brain swim like that before. She put a hand to her heart discreetly and found it was thudding fast inside.

"I'm Rachel, but... I go by Rae," She told them with a half smile, bashfully. "I'm a huge fan of Ariada, I read her blogs and found out she was here, so... here I am. Fangirling, I guess."

"I'm glad you enjoy the show! I'm feeling confident, I'm gonna knock everybody off their feet," she laughed, winking at her as she twirled around. However, once Rae had mentioned she never been on an actual pokemon journey, the girl inhaled a sharp gasp as she grabbed the model's hand and stared up at her with her blue orbs, "You never been on an adventure?" she gasped out loud, but before she could say anymore, a soft gentle touch on her bare shoulder made her turn to look at Red. Instantly, she felt the tip of her ears turn red at catching his beautiful crimson gaze.

She smiled as she greeted him back, "Hiya Red~ Yep, that's Reddie the champion of Kanto," she laughed as she grinned at Rae and Red. She just realized...out of all them, Ari was the shortest...The girl was signafiately shorter than Red, Red was slightly taller than Rae whilst Rae is slightly shorter than Blue (making Red and Rae the same height)...then there was Blue, who towered over all of them with his height. She pouted for a moment, crossing her arms.

Blue, who was too busy taking in the sight of the beautiful model in front of him saw that, and turned to Ariada with a small laugh. "What's wrong Ari?" he asked, glancing over. However once she did, he caught the beautiful green(?) orbs of the model and instinctively looked away, a blush flushing his cheeks.

Now it was Ariada's turn to ask, one of her eyebrow rising, "What's wrong Blue?" she flipped the question onto him with a curious, yet mischievous snicker in her voice.

However once Rae formally introduced herself, all three of them turned to the girl. Ariada smiled, "Nice to meet'cha in real life, Rae!" she laughed. "I'm glad you like my blogs," the girl said with a gentle smile. Blue grinned.

"I haven't formally introduced myself, have I? Name's Blue. Blue Oak, grandson of the Professor Oak," he boasted with a huff of his chest. "And I have the amazing title of Viridian's City strongest trainer, known as the gym leader."

"So much ego in one..." Ari commented under her breathe. And that somehow reached Blue's ears as he shot her a glare, which in reply Ari gave him a nervous smile. "You didn't hear anything."

(Rae has topaz-brown eyes. But that's okay xD )

Red caught sight of Ariada's sudden shift in mood, wincing as he tried to figure out what might have caused that. He gently placed an arm around her waist, of course he had to duck a little to do so, giving her a squeeze of a side hug, but leaving it there afterwords, her warmth meshing with his comfortably. Red's face grew prickly with heat as he realized just how easily she fit beside him in that moment, the whole height concept just made it cuter to him.

"Nice to meet you, Blue," Rae responded sweetly, her voice complimented by a glacé smile. Though his titles were impressive, they didn't give her chills like his eyes did, like his grin could. Man, what was wrong with her? Rae didn't blush, at least not often... "I've attended your grandfather's seminars, he's lovely. Oh! And.. I was born in Viridian. Too bad we haven't met before." She grinned a little.

She then took a moment to look at the whole group, feeling a little bit of envy towards Ariada, not necessarily the bad kind, but, oh, how Rae wanted a friend as ambitious and jubilant as she was. And then to have the companions she had? And all the adventures Ariada got to go on, from region to region, catching pokemon, earning badges, collecting ribbons, meeting new people, observing variety of culinary and diversity within lifestyles, all the beautiful landscapes she and her companions must have scoured...

For a moment, words welled up inside her she never thought she'd consider saying. What with Elesa's constant training and all the traveling Rae's lifestyle required. But she was currently on vacation, and what if... What if this was her only chance?

She pursed her lips, grabbing Ariada's hand with a hopeful look in her big, topaz-brown eyes.

"Can I ask somethin' crazy?" She blurted out suddenly, shivering a little as the air dropped a few degrees, it was getting awfully late, after all. "I don't want to keep you from your fans... And I especially don't want to intrude..." She smiled nervously at the three of them, her eyes meeting each individual gaze baring apprehension.

"I'm on vacation for a few months out here in Hoenn, and... I..." She was losing her nerve, but she had to ask! Even if they rejected her, she had to try!

"Can I tag along with you three? Please?" Her voice was a bit of a whisper, her breath seemingly knocked out of her as she worried about hypothetical responses. "I swear I won't hold you back. I've never had a journey of my own, my Pokemon hardly battle outside of what Elesa organizes, she organizes all my challenges, I've never gone camping, or fishing, or stayed in a Pokemon Center... I've challenged gym leaders, but they were friendly battles, not for badges... I don't even know if I want to collect those... I might just go to travel, ya know? And we're really strong, a while back, Elesa held a get together for all her colleagues, and Wallace was there-"

"Wallace?"

"I call him Wally, but, yeah," She laughed a little, as if the blue haired man was just your average person. "And I didn't win, no, but I was awful close! So... please?" She begged with beckoning eyes, momentarily flickering them towards Blue.

"...Hmm. I guess that's impressive." Red bared a little, teasing smile, clearing approving. Why? Well, for one, everyone deserved to have their own journey, he'd encourage anyone to travel. And her eagerness kind of made him sad, he could only imagine how he'd feel if he'd been denied his chance to go. Where would he even be? But honestly? He wanted to see her team, to understand how she raised them and what she did to keep that Flygon in grandiloquent shape.

"Ari? Blue? What do you think?" He asked them, clearly waiting for their input. Ariada's especially, considering it was her that initially strove to get them together. If she said no, then so would he. He never once noticed Blue's blushing complexion, far too focused on Ariada, both due to her herself, and upon waiting for her approval. He could imagine the two girls being really close friends.

When Red flushed his body against Ariada, the girl couldn't help but blush, her face instead was red. She didn't mind the side hug, and she absolutely didn't mind the fact that he didn't pull away. The girl glanced up at Red with a gentle smile. Ari loved being close to the Kanto champion, it felt...right. Like she was meant to be the male.

However, during that moment, Ariada and Blue started bickering, once again. It was an often occurrence when around these two. They're total opposites, they can't help but bicker. However, once their names were mentioned, Ari and Blue looked over to catch her gaze, making Blue once again go into a blushing mess.

"What was that?" she asked sheepishly, rubbing the back of her head. "I was playing a game of glare with Blue," she grinned. "I obviously won."

Blue scoffed as he crossed his arms, but a smug smirk made his way, "Shut up Ari. We all know you lost."

"Not all of us! They were even paying attention to us!" Ariada shot back, glaring at Blue.

"Wanna go again?" the gym leader challenged, shooting a glare back at Ari's presence. However, they were unable to because of Red who sighed to get their attentions. Blue snickered at Ari's pouty face then turned to Rae and Red, "So what's going on?"

Ariada, who actually knew what Rae's and Red's conversation about broke into a big grin, "You said you haven't gone on an adventure, correct? Of course! Every trainer that classifies themselves as a trainer must go on an adventure of some sort! Rae, I would love to have a girl companion! It'd make my life so much easier..." she laughed sheepishly, leaning against Red.

However, Blue stayed quiet, because his mind was trying to wrap around the fact that Rae, a beautiful model who he fell for at first sight was gonna tag along with the three of them. Deep in his heart, he knew that a relationship between the model and himself with bloom into something big. A smirk made his way onto his face, "If Ari says yes, then I have no objections," he replied, winking at the model.

"It's settled, then." Red told her with an approving nod, not fighting the bright grin on his face. He agreed, Ariada having a female companion would be a first in a long time, and although they'll surely having big differences, he could see them getting along like sisters, even. Blue, however, caught his attention- that reddish glow on his face, notable against th contrast of his skin- Surely that was due to his frustration with Ariada? Blue didn't crush on anyone, it was always the other way around. He'd never completely returned a fan girls affections.

Rae wiped her index fingers under her eyelids, two shimmering little tears dotting the corners. She'd been so nervous by what their answers could be, she was nearly crying in relief. She'd hoped she wasn't the reason Ariada and Blue had started to argue, but it seemed like Red had intervened and ended it, somehow.

"Oh, thank you! You don't know how much this means to us," She told them, her voice a little too loud, but very genuine and sweet, referring to her Pokemon as well. The pokeballs that were nestled in her purse vibrated enthusiastically, and from a few feet away, Flygon was cooing in appreciation. The brunette giggled at Ariada's confession, "It'll be great, Ari!"

Red lightly squeezed Ariada again in acknowledgement, thankful that Blue wasn't teasing them for the proximity.

She offered Blue a bashful smile, her heart fluttering a little at the sound of his voice. Surely it was just a celebrity thing, he must flirt with his admirers all the time, and they, of course, fawned over him. Still... Arceus he was handsome.

"We leave Slateport tomorrow, Blue and I want to challenge Roxanne at the Rustboro gym. I think we're going to head back to the 'Center, now, it's late. Well, once Ari finishes up here." He smiled at her for a moment. "We'll meet you near the shopping center tomorrow, alright? We'll probably walk half way, and fly when we need to. I'm assuming your Flygon has you covered."

"Yeah," She nodded, and yawned lightly. "I think I'll head back to the Hotel, then. I'll see you guys tomorrow then, okay? And thanks again!" She started back towards her Flygon, winking at Blue in the process. "Bye, Blue."

"She seems like a sweet girl," Red nodded, but soon his stomach was growling and all thoughts of her vanished. "Lets grab dinner and head back, alright? Long day tomorrow." He nudged Blue successively, his voice mocking that of Rae's sweet one.

"Bye Bluuue~" he grinned teasingly at him.

Ariada's face broke into a large grin as she hugged Rachel, "You know it'll be great! And stop crying, we're not that cruel," she laughed gently as she stepped back into Red's embrace. She flashed the girl a bright smile, "I know this will be one of our greatest adventure, don't cha think so?" she asked, looking up at Red and Blue. Both of nodded, Red breaking out into a large grin and Blue was smirking ever-so-slightly as he crossed his ankles.

As Red was speaking to Rae about the schedule, she turned to her large audience she had forgotten and gave them an apologetic smile. She slipped out from Red's embrace, a bit reluctantly you might add and walked over to her fanbase, apologizing over and over again with a guilty look on her face.

Blue watched as Rae left, however once she said his name in that sweet voice of hers, his face turned red and he couldn't muster up anything to say before the girl jumped up on her Flygon and left. Though, once Red said it mockingly, Blue turned around and glared at him, tempted to hit him. "Shut up!" he cried, trying to keep his face as normal as he possibly can.

Once Ariada finished up wrapping up her meet-and-greet (apologizing every moment she had...) She yawned and went back to her two companions. "Should we get back? Amphi and I are exhausted. What a day," Ari laughed as stretched her arms above her. Once her hand fell down, it brushed against Red's, and her automatic reaction was to blush and swiftly pulled her hand away. She glanced up at Red's crimson eyes, her face dusted in light pink as she shot him a smile.

"Rustboro, right?" Blue asked as he was staring up in the beautiful sky. His eyes were darting around, as if he was searching for something.

Ari gave a small nod, "Mhm. I believe we're gonna have to walk I think. Our pokemon don't know Hoenn well enough to fly us to a specific city. I..don't even have a flying pokemon," she laughed.

As always, last night Rae had called Elesa, filling her in on the sudden turn of events, to which the super model enthusiastically encouraged and approved of.

"I want an update daily," The woman told Rae, smiling fondly behind the phone. "Everyone will be so supportive of you, I'll have them keep an eye open and help you out when you're in their area! And if you need anything... in fact, I can have some necessities delivered to you now. Can't be a trainer without the essentials, right?"

"...Essentials?"

"You'll see," Elesa giggled, and after an affectionate goodbye, hung up, but not without instructing Rae to visit the PokeMart the next morning.

Nestled in a baby blue sky that morning, weaving in and out of puffy white clouds, V-Shaped flocks of Altaria and occasionally skimming just over twinkling, cerulean blue waters at high velocity, were Rae and Felicity. The brunette was perched on the bipedal dragons back, it's rhombus, ruby rimmed wings flapping effortlessly against the crisp breeze, emitting a sort of singing sound every time they beat against the air with powerful motions.

The two had awoken early with excitement, and took to hovering over Slateport's vibrant skies for a while, eventually stopping by the PokeMart to pick up what Elesa had sent. A brand new, light weight, full stocked shoulder bag, five brand new pairs of aviator sunglasses, one of which Rae eagerly slipped on, a stylish belt with Unova logos and pokeball holsters, and few other things that the Nimbasa gym leader thought were pivotal, like a proper selection of outfits better suited for Hoenn.

Rae had fallen asleep with butterflies last night, which only intensified as the two of them soared through the air, her thoughts drifting to a certain brunette, her Flygon gave her a side grin, understanding what her trainer was thinking about.

"Oh, whatever, I wanna be with Red and Ariada just as much," She murmured, to which the dragon growled in amusement. "Really! Ari and I are going to be super close!" At that time they were landing just outside the shopping center, eagerly awaiting her new friends. Her outfit consisted of dark wash denim shorts, a white chiffon top and Nimbasa city colored running shoes, complimented by her black handbag, and sunglasses.

--

Last night had weighed heavily on Red's mind, even after everyone was in bed, and the other two were sound asleep. He wasn't thinking about coordinating, or the young model who was joining them on their travels, or even his insatiable urge for battle- No, he was debating on how bold it'd be to hold Ariada's hand today. The accidental gesture had them both a quiet, blushing mess on the way back, lucky for them, Blue was occupied with the sky, and didn't mention this obvious hang up.

But it was the next morning now, and as Red thoughtfully brushed his teeth, he wondered just how he'd go about taking that little step in their... friend...rela...township. He didn't have a word for it just yet. But if Pikachu could speak English, he know the mouse would have a list of advice and terminology just waiting for the champion.

It was nearing eleven, they'd slept in a little later than usual, and he figured they should head on out, grab the supplies they need, and meet with Rae. He was a little shocked, but overall grateful, that when the brunette had met the three of them, she wasn't fangirling, squeaking or asking for autographs. She seemed really down to Earth, and with a Flygon like that, she obviously was experienced, at least in some fields. That's why he pegged her as a great female companion, especially for Ari, though Rae wouldn't ever be able to make Red feel like Ari did. Ari had a cemented, experience woven place in Red's life, and it took a long time and a lot of twists and turns to get there, and even then, Ariada was in her own, special category.

He realized the taste of Colgate was making him sick, and finished up that bit of the morning. He combed his hair, slipped on his cap, bared his usual apparel and then urged his friends to wake up, blushing as he gently tried to awaken Air, relentless as he tossed a pillow at Blue.

"Wake up, guys," He told them with a bit of exasperation. "We're going to miss everything if we don't go now!"

One thing was for sure: Blue knew that the relationship between Rae and himself will not be a relationship like anybody's else. It wouldn't a be a rivalry between Red and Blue. Nor a relationship like Ariada and Blue. He had a feeling it would go down a different path that he'd never experienced, and to be honest, it kinda scared him. The male had laid in his bed, staring up at the ceiling as images of Rae ran through his head.

It irked him. He didn't understand what feelings he had for his new female companion, but for sure he knew he wasn't finding out anytime soon. He just met the girl for god's sake! He groaned as he shifted around his bed. He was lucky he and the other two travelers had their own rooms, yet all of them were connected.

He didn't even realize it was morning (and that he fell asleep...) until he was jolted awake by Red throwing a pillow at him, and Ariada standing there beside him yawning. He jumped awake, sitting up in his bed and realized Ariada's hair was a bit calmer...meaning she didn't get the same method.

"What the heck, Red?! Why does Ari always get the gentle treatment?!" he shouted as he dodged another pillow. He glared at his rival. "What time is it?"

Ariada was the one to answer, "Almost nine," she yawned. "Get ready. We're gonna leave without you," she said, before walking back to her room.

"You should too! You're still in your pajamas!" Blue shouted at the retreating figure. Ari waved it off.

"I know~!" she replied before disappearing into her room.

Scoffing, Blue got up and whilst glaring at Red, walked over to the bathroom. He sighed, oddly energetic and excited even though he had gotten no sleep the night before. As he was brushing his teeth, for the millionth time, his mind drifted back to Rae, and a faint blush appeared on his cheek. Mentally groaning, he spit out the excess and washed his mouth, then switching off to washing his face as well.

It didn't take long for the gym leader to get ready, pulling on a simple collared purple shirt and some brown shorts. He clipped his three pokemon he brought with him onto his belt, then grabbed his drawstring bag he brought with him, stuffing all the other clothings in it. He walked out of his room, Red following and knocked on Ari's door.

"Ready, Ar?" he called out.

"You forget the 'i'!" Ariada replied as she opened the door. The girl was wearing her ginger locks down, a strand stuck behind her ear. Her face was dusted with light makeup consisting of just brown eyeliner, mascara and a light-peach colored lipstick. She wore a simple black cardigan, with an unique orange-striped pattern sewed onto it. Underneath, she had a simple white tang-top and short white shorts. Adoring her feet were some of her favorite brown ankle boots. She stared at Blue. "It's not "Ar" it's "Ari." Get it right." She huffed. And in response, Blue rolled his eyes.

"Whatever. Ar, Ari, Ariada, what's the difference? They're all the same person," he said, flickering Ari's forehead.

"Ouch!" she cried out, rubbing her temple as she glared at Blue. "Anyways, let's go!" she chirped, holding her cream-colored shoulder bag. "Let's not keep Rae waiting~" she hummed, excited to see her new friend once again.

Arceus, she looked cute today, Red mused mentally as they exited the 'Center. His hand swung awkwardly at his side, hers mere inches from it. Was now the right time? Was there even a right time, or did he have to be his own advocate and just do it? Perhaps he was over analyzing. Friends held hands all the time. However, he wouldn't exactly refer to her as... just a friend.

He heard an encouraging 'Chuuu' from his shoulder and sighed, eyes tense beneath his cap, but just as they walked through the sliding doors out into the public eye, he reached out and slipped his fingers through hers, relief evident in the way his tight chest unraveled.

'Pikaaa!' The mouse chirped, and then went on to lazily observe the city before them.

Red tried not to make a scene of it, but knew with the way Blue and Ariada had been bickering, his rival was sure to tease. Then again, he seemed pretty caught up in his own world. Regardless, Red kept his hand in her soft one, his other shoved in his pocket.

"Um..." His voice cracked, but he'd spoken so low he'd hoped no one noticed. "To the shopping center, I guess. And try not to kill each other on the way, alright?"

Red took his sweet time maneuvering through the crowds of Slateport, purchasing a snack at one of the outdoor vendors for Ariada and taking the time to observe anything she might want to see before they leave the city. They could always come back, sure, but there also wasn't a reason to rush, and although they didn't want to keep Rae waiting, Ariada came first in his mind, if the woman wanted to do some last minute sight seeing then anyone else was going to have to wait.

And that anyone else happened to be a very impatient, oddly energetic Blue.

Eager to avoid animosity, Red pointed out that the shopping center was just across the street. He saw no sign if Rae yet, but led them in that direction anyways, his cap shielding the harsh sun light from his crimson eyes. He was just about to wonder aloud where the model could be, when a melodious cry sang out, sending Pikachu's ears into a twitching fit.

'Veeeeeey!'

Out of nowhere, a ribbon, glowing a vivid pink in the sunlight, reached out and wrapped softly around Blue's arm, tugging him a certain way, and then another one brushed against Ari and Red, all the while emitting a gentle presence. The sound came again, like wind chimes amidst the sea breeze, and before they could question it aloud, in front of them appeared a Sylveon, blissful and groomed to perfection.

Pikachu hopped down from Red's shoulder and seemed to communicate with it for a moment, before gesturing for the trainers to follow them. They darted toward and around the corner, which revealed Rae, outstretched on a city bench, grinning widely at the sight of the group.

"That'a girl, Lottie," She cooed softly, sliding off the bench and greeting her new companions warmly, albeit bashfully when her eyes briefly locked with Blue's. She noted Sylveon still had her ribbon wrapped around his arm, staring up at him curiously, knowing Rae had had him on her mind. The brunette didn't say anything, instead she pulled Ari into a tight hug, assuming that was alright. "It's nice to see you guys... I was scared maybe you forgot or something."

"Nah, just did a little last minute wandering." Red told her, not meeting the woman's gaze and instead tugging Ariada back towards him. "A Sylveon, huh?" Red commented, crouching down for a better look. He was greeted with an enthusiastic 'Sylvey!' which made him laugh.

"She's a sweetheart," Rae told them, noting how much more interested Red was in Pokemon. Her gaze drifted to Blue... Oh Arceus she felt the blush coming. Darn celebrities. Yeah, that was the reason.

"Now that we're all together, are we ready to go? I know I am," She grinned cheekily, her long hair, pulled back into a fairly high ponytail, swaying back and forth as she nodded her head.

She didn't know what path they'd take, geography wasn't necessarily her strong suit, but she assumed they had it all mapped out, and was genuinely elated to go out on the first day of a long adventure. She wasn't too optimistic, was she? Surely it'd be as great as the stories she'd read, and seen on television. And Ariada made it seem like a dream come true in her captivating blogs and vlogs.

Feeling the warm palm against hers, and Red's finger entwining themselves with their own, Ari couldn't help but blush. She looked up at Red, who refused eye contact with her, his blush noticeable on his pale complexion. Smiling gently, Ariada returned his gesture, walking closer to him unconsciously as she smiled at Eevee, who had escaped her pokeball and was walking along side the coordinator.

As they walked around the city a little bit longer, Red buying her a snack and Ari thanking for him, Blue got really...really impatient. Which was odd because he was always the patient one.

"Can you guys stop stalling?" Blue scoffed out finally, crossing his arms as Ari was chattering to Eevee excitedly about the beautiful seas of Hoenn. She glanced up at Blue, her hand still entwined with Red's and laughed gently.

"Why so impatient, Bluzie?" she teased, her eyebrows wiggling. "It sounds like you want to see Rae badly..." she giggled. However, when a faint blush found its way on his cheek, the girl couldn't help but gasp out loud. "Are you serious? You want to see Rae??" she questioned.

"S-shut up!" he cried out. However, he wasn't able to defend himself when the soft feeling of a pokemon's ribbon wrapped around Blue's arm, which made him look down, catching the gaze of a beautiful Sylveon. Eevee, the pre evolution of Sylveon looked at it curiously as she bounced over to Sylveon.

'Ve?'

"Who's is it?" Ariada questioned, however once Pikachu and Sylveon began to urge them toward the store, Blue shrugged.

"Let's find out," he laughed as he followed the pokemon. And once he captured the gaze of Rae, a smirk fell on his lips. He waved at Rae, "Hey there." Rae looked beautiful. With her obviously excited state, Blue couldn't help but form his smirk into a gentle smile as he watched Rae embrace Ari...who he finally noticed was holding hands with Red.

He had to make sure he teased Red about that.

Ariada laughed, "Sorry. I wanted to check a few things out. Sorry if I worried ya," she smiled, returned the embrace. However, once Red tugged her back, her face felt warm again. She smiled at Rae, "I'm ready."

Blue thought for a moment, "There are two ways to reach Rustboro: walk from Slateport to Rustboro City, whilst passing Petalburg which by the way has a pretty strong gym I have heard...or we find someone that will be kind enough to let us ride with them to Route 104, where we can easily reach Rustboro then head back to Petalburg," he said, stroking Sylveon's head.

"I say we walk, I hear Norman is one Hell of a gym leader," Red said factually, his enthusiastic grin quite contagious. Pikachu's bright red cheeks sparked in anticipation. "Besides, we having set up a tent in a while. A walk there and a night or two by the fire, under the stars, might be really nice you know?" He more so said that last part to Ariada, surprised a little at how easy it was to suggest such sentimental ideas.

"And seriously, these guys are dying for an actually challenging battle. I don't know exactly what pokemon Petalburg gym uses, but I'll figure out a time to strategize."

"I'm down for walking," Rae commented, silently thanking Elesa for the new shoes, she had a feeling they'd be walking quiiite a bit. "I've never been camping before! How's that sound, Lottie?"

The intertwining Pokemon purred affectionately underneath Blue's touch, nuzzling his hand.

"I'll... Take that as a yes," The brunette blushed, tugging at her ponytail whilst her eyes scanned Blue. Goodness, he was handsome. Red was, too, but he didn't make her skin sizzle like the brunette before her. She tried not to stare, and instead focused on remembering to take a deep breath.

"Ari, I'm sure you're up for walking?" Red nudged her a little, offering her his crooked smile.

Ariada returned his smile, laughing gently as nodded. "I'm so up for walking!" she grinned, bouncing on her heels a bit. "Though, I'mma have to change shoes later on," she chuckled. "These boots aren't the most fun when it comes to walking for longer than three hours straight..." She glanced up to Red with a gentle smile on her face, "And a night out by the fire doesn't sound that bad either..."

Blue rolled his eyes at the obvious affections both of them harboured for each other. "Seriously, are you guys secretly dating behind my back and aren't bothering to tell me?" he teased gently, smirking at Ari and Red. In response, Ari's face burned and she quickly slipped her out of Red's, as much as she hated so.

"Shut up Blue!" she cried out. She would fire something back at him, but what she had in mind would mention Rae and she didn't want her to feel awkward on the first day. "L-Let's just go..." she muttered as she leaned down and scooped up the Eevee.

"I swear, Ari. You're taking my Eevee away from me." Blue glared.

"Meh," was Ari's reply as she began to walk toward Route 110, a big grin on her face, "Let's get this adventure started! It's about time we start walkin'!"

With enthusiasm as their drive (Well, maybe not so much Ari and Blue, they were at each others throats!) the little group of trainers had already covered a good three miles, and were nearly upon Route 103. Red tried to ignore the singe on his pride when Ariada had snatched her hand away due to Blue's sudden comments. The man didn't blame her for doing so. But it still kind of bruised the ego. However, as they walked on, his thoughts deep and thorough, he decided there was plenty of time to try again. Maybe it'll be more discreet. By nature, Red remained his usual quiet self, occasionally nodding or humming in agreement with something Ariada inquired or exclaimed. Pikachu had taken to walking in front of him, conversing with Eevee and occasionally the very mature and melodic Sylveon, who stayed glued to Rae's side, one long ribbon wrapped around the woman's left wrist. The brunette was very appreciative she had companions like these three, for both she and her Pokemon didn't have the best sense of direction.

On weekends and holidays, fishing enthusiasts take up every available spot of coastline on this seaside route, casting treasured rods into seas of blue, yanking back lines and revealing Tentacool, Wailmer, and the unfortunate Magikarp. Pelipepper squawked as they flew in flocks over head, Nuzleaf leapt from limb to limb of lined maple trees, Shroomish dotted the shrubs that accented both sides of the path. Hoenn was teeming with wildlife, and the chorus of various animals that emanated from every corner confirmed that.

"You know," Rae jumped up and grabbed onto a protruding branch about seven feet off the ground, hanging there for a moment before she swung her long legs forward, carefully stepped up the side of the tree until she was hanging upside down. Of course, not without Sylveon's help, ribbons outstretched and keeping her trainer balanced. Her long brown hair grazed the grass below and her face was suddenly flushed as the blood rushed downward. Seedot peered at her with curiosity. "I only went fishing once, but something attacked my rod and took it, and almost took me with it! I still don't know till this day what that was. But the fisherman in front of me caught onto the same thing, and was pulled into the lake. His Seaking saved him, though."

'Veeeey,' the Fox-pokemon chimed, seemingly relieved by the positive end of the story.

Red smirked in response, but it didn't hold any attitude, just acknowledgment. "Fishing is a great thing to plan for an early Saturday morning, course I prefer Kanto's waters- I know, I know, I'm a patriot."

He chuckled a little, then glanced up at the sky- Man, Kanto temperatures compared to this heat just really wasn't fair. He didn't even want to know what the desert here was like, his skin felt like it'd melt off just at the thought! Still, he was slowly adapting, though the snowy climate of Mt. Silver never really stopped being the contrast of Hoenn weather.

Rae adjusted her position, sitting upwards and running her fingers along the bark. It vibrated with natural energy, which was lovely, but the sticky sap that stuck her fingers to the wood wasn't so nice. She crinkled her nose and eventually hopped down onto the ground, her head perking up as Red began to speak again.

"103's just down that left turn, then we hit Odale. Think we'll get any special perks with Birch if we mention you're Oak's grandson?" Red asked Blue with a crooked grin. Champion status, although envied and admirable, didn't always have perks everywhere you went. Professor Oak's lineage, on the other hand, was widely praised and respected, so the man couldn't help but ask.

As the group of friends walked down Route 110, with a few wild pokemons jumping at them and scaring Ariada most of the time, the girl sighed, her eyes trailing as she looked over at the beautiful Hoenn seas. When she heard ruffling behind her, Ari had realized the group had stopped to look at the Hoenn ocean. As she listened carefully to Rae, she grinned. "Sounds scary. I actually never been fishing before. Mama doesn't enjoy water pokemon–" Blue snickered at the fact that Ari still called her mother 'Mama.' In return, he got a harsh smack on his head and a glare from Ari. "–And Morty was always so busy with his gym leader duties that he'd never have any time for me." She finished.

Blue walked over to where he was facing the upside down Rae, and smirked, poking her nose, "Keep doing that, you'll pour blood into your brain," he teased lightly. He then turned to Red, and with a roll of his green orbs he walked on forward, "Of course Red, you'll prefer Kanto. Mr. Patriot."

Ariada laughed gently as she caught up with Red, smiling up at him. It has been an hour or two, and Ari still longed to hold hands with him, seeing as he fit perfectly with hers. Her hands were mere inches from his, but she did nothing to advance her actions; too afraid to do so. Humming gently, the girls gazed at the Hoenn skies.

The Viridian City gym leader whistled, finally replying to Red's question: "I don't know, Reddie. Let's find out, shall we?" he laughed. They were nearing the left turn Red had mentioned. "We still have a lot to cover. Probably gonna have to camp out tonight on Route 103~"

Man, even that little touch was like Blue had used Captivate on her right then and there.

"My dad wasn't around either," Rae sympathized with Ariada, even if it wasn't necessarily a good thing, the brunette was happy she could relate to the other woman about something.

Quickly, though, the conversation had bounced around, eventually coming to the concept of camping out again, right there on Route 103. Red nodded at Blue's observation, "Yeah, I guess so. It'll be nice, though, just like old times. Of course, with the addition of a model. Didn't see that coming." He chuckled lightly, and then gazed upwards. "Time?"

"A little after one," Rae answered, texting speedily on her phone. The Nimbasa gym leader wanted updates, pictures, souvenirs, she was basically asking for a scrapbook, via text. Rae appreciated the fact someone cared so much, but she always had to inquire why. She liked the attention though, honestly. "Elesa says hi," She told the three, flashing a grin in the process.

"Long time no see," He had Rae respond for him, hardly remembering the last time he was at a convention with all the other big names in the league. He didn't know how much Blue and Ariada knew about the other gym leaders, aside from work and her father.

"Well, time's moving fast, let's get as far as we can and then scope out a potential resting spot. Charizard will happily provide the fire," He grinned, feeling that particular pokeball quiver. Pikachu perked up notably at the thought of its companion coming out for a while. He noted the closeness of Ariada's hand, and, although tempted, he didn't take it, touch it, or even graze it. He'd wait till the night time came to be bold like that again. It'd go more unnoticed, and maybe Blue would drown Rae in his boasting, so Red could... could...

Could what? He suddenly felt apprehensive again, and out of habit, tugged his hat downwards.

"Hello! Hello!" Ariada greeted excitedly, waving at Rae with a large grin. She hadn't met Elesa before, or...really any gym leaders outside of Kanto and Johto. This would be her first time out of the region, since most people just considered Kanto and Johto as one. Ariada stretched her hands upwards, with a small yawn. "We have tents, right?" she asked. "Because I don't think I have one..." she laughed gently.

Blue rolled her eyes, "You are so unprepared, Ari. Yeah I have a tent, what about you Red?" He turned to his rival, only to realize he was deep in thought again. "Red?" he asked, snapping his fingers in front of the male.

Ariada laughed, "Red, are you alright? You suddenly went quiet...which isn't out of the ordinary..." she muttered, cocking her head a bit. "Meh." The girl leaned down and picked up Eevee, who gladly responded with a small 've!'

The gym leader sighed as he watched Ariada and his Eevee. "Might as well give Eevee to you," he muttered. Then he fell back to Rae's side. "So...I heard that you use to live in Kanto? When was that?" he asked with a flirtatious smirk. Meanwhile, Ariada was looking around for a good camping spot.

The girl thought since they still had half of the day left, they might be able to reach Odale Town in that amount of time...? She didn't know...but it was a thought.

At the sudden snap of fingers before him, Red came to, but only on the surface did he offer a smile of comprehension. He was still thinking, but honestly, that wasn't out of the normal. He used to get lost in reveries all the time back up on his sancutary, the only difference now is what his thoughts have been revolving around. Then, it was like a meditative state, with thoughts of tactics, strategies, reflection, and when his next challenger would scale the mountain in hopes for a battle they'd inevitably lose. Now, it was all that, minus the mountain, plus hormones, thanks to Ari's undeniably pleasant presence. It'd been like an awakening the moment they'd reconnected, and only because it was her, he left his safe haven. Anyone else would've gotten blasted off the mountain before they could further bother him,

Pikachu shocked him a little, just enough to snap him out of it again. "Have I?" He asked Ariada rhetorically, not really sure what else he should say. "Guess I'm just adjusting to being out and about again... I do have a tent, yes. Don't worry about it, Ari. That's a lot to carry anyways." He offered her a light smile, ignoring Blue's banter.

Rae greeted Blue with that usual bashful smile of hers, the one that gave a blush hue to her cheeks. She matched his pace and kept it, her hands slipping into her back, denim pockets, warm from the rise and fall of temperature in her body. "I was born there," She told him, mirroring his smirk. "We moved aaaaall the time when I was younger, so it's been quite a while since I was last there. Let's just say it's been so long I thought Giovanni was still the gym leader," She laughed lightly, obviously feeling a little behind. "Viridian is gorgeous, though. Had I liked school, I would've been able to enroll in the Ace academy, that's what my counselor told me. But, I wanted to be a model instead!" She shrugged, obviously having made her decision. "I've visited most of the region, save for the islands, but I'd love to vacation in the Archipelago sometime. Their resorts are arguably as beautiful as the one's in Unova. Which are amazing. The restaurants there are to die for. And the beds? It's like a cloud. But... Better."

To that, Sylveon cried in agreement, apparently remembering their last stay in the region. She skipped beside the two with an unmatched grace, optimism contagious.

"Guys? Let's keep moving forward, that sign there says that Odale is way closer than we thought." He told them, matching Ariada's pace, glancing at her with a sheepish smile. "We'll rest soon, though. If we can't make it..." But he trailed off, and that obviously meant he was determined to at least camp on the outskirts of the little towned. He didn't know if the others were picking up on it, but Red was anxious for a battle. It was in his blood, it was his calling, and his team was quivering the whole walk there, beckoning him for a challenge. He appreciated the scenery, loved being with his companions, but all of that lacked the adrenaline a real, genuine challenge gave him.

(You can skip ahead, to where they either make it to the town or set up outside of it? I'm not so sure what you wanna do, now. Red doesn't have to lead, either, lol. Just go with what you're up for! I'll get to brainstorming on some more plot twists. Maybe we'll need more than just Levi to kick this plot into gear. I'll let you know what I conjure up. :)

It took them quite a while, covering all of Route 103, and most of 110 (seeing as the rest of the route heads toward New Mauville) but the small group finally reached Oldale Town by sundown. Ariada yawned as they reached the quiet town, rarely anybody was up. She stretched her arms over her head as they walked toward the Pokemon Center. Blue tagged along behind, making Rae's pace whilst talking to her in hushed voices, afraid if he went any louder he would wake up the sleeping town and the sleeping Eevee curled up on his shoulder.

Ariada rubbed her eyes, "That was long..." she mumbled as she headed for the Pokemon Center, everyone following behind her. "So what are we doing?"

Blue perked up at her question, "Since we shouldn't waste any money, how about we get two rooms? One for you and Rae and one for Red and I?" he suggested. Ari nodded.

"Sounds good, what do you guys think?" Ariada kinda wished she could share a room with Red...but it would be way too awkward to ask and it's a boy! Not like they're were gonna do anything naughty, seeing as both still have time to confess to each other. But...

But, what? Ariada sighed, folding her hands behind her back.

Red denied the thoughts of sharing a room with Air instead. He'd hoped to talk to her tonight if they called, but apparently that was in the cards. Staying in the same room though, that was too bold to ask; he'd never hear the end of it from his rival, either.

The man nodded and headed inside, the cool air of the 'center refreshing after their tiring trek here. It never seemed like that long of a walk, until you actually arrived where you'd intended to. He shifted uncomfortably on his feet, yes he was in great shape, but even champions got worn out!

Nurse Joy handed him two keys with a polite smile, and he tossed one to Ariada, jiggling the other before Blue. "Good idea. Tomorrow we'll go visit Birch, if you're are up for it. Tonight, though, we rest up. Maybe we'll grab breakfast tomorrow, too."

Pikachu hopped up onto his shoulder with an agile leap, cooing in appreciation of a nice, warm bed to rest in. He'd walked a long way, too!

"Sleep well, Ari," Red told her, seemingly contemplating on something, but deciding against it. He started down the hall, expecting Blue to follow, and plopped down on the bed farthest to the left eagerly. He tossed his cap, kicked off his shoes, flipped onto his side and smiled as Pikachu snuggled against his chest, underneath his arm.

Ari caught the key with ease and smiled at Red. "Thanks. You too," she mumbled awkwardly. She glanced over to Rae with a smile, "We finally get alone time!" she laughed.

"Hey! Eevee, what are you doing?!" Blue cried out as the Eevee, that was previously sleeping on Blue's shoulder had jumped off and walked toward Ari. When he realized where she was headed, he glared up at Ari who put her hands up in the air as if she was surrendering.

She stuck her tongue out, "Girls sleep in their own room while boys sleep in their own."

"Eevee I can return you back to your pokeball..." Blue threatened.

As quick as she can, Ari scooped up the eevee and grabbed Rae's wrist. "Sleep well you guys!" she called out, before running toward the elevators.

"It won't work Ari! Our room is right next to yours!" Blue called out as he chased after her. However, the elevator door closed right before he can get her.

Ariada turned to Rae, giggling. "This is gonna be fun!"

Red laid in bed, his face buried in his pillow, thick, black hair ruffled and messy. He and Pikachu were breathing in sync, but whilst the yellow mouse had fallen asleep instantly, Red was wide awake, focusing the rise and fall of his toned arm as the likeminded beneath it breathed in and out.

For the moment, all tension was relieved. For some reason, Blue wasn't here yet. So there was no anticipation of teasing, though, don't get him wrong, he loved his friend. Just not when he was playing match maker. And Ari... He didn't have words. All he knew was that blushing wasn't his thing, and it was nice to catch a break.

'Piiii'

"Sorry buddy, thinking too loud again?" He laughed, and hugged him tighter to his chest.

'Chuuu...'

-

Rae and Sylveon exchanged confused glances, unsure of how to react to the situation. But this was between her and Blue, so Rae just put on a half smile and watched.

Once Ariada arrived to her room, with Rae inside as well she shot her an apologetic smile, "Hi there..." she laughed. Eevee had jumped out of Ari's arms and bounced onto one of the beds. "Oooh! I'm so excited we get to share a room together! Aren't you excited?? Aaah!" The young blogger squealed and jumped onto her bed, kicking off her tennis shoes she had switched. She sighed out in relief, "This feels comfortable..." she muttered.

~

Blue grumbled as he reached his room, finding Red and Pikachu and one of the beds. "I swear, Red I'm going to kill your girlfriend one of these days," he muttered angrily.

He loved Ari(as a sister) and all but she can just be a pain...or is just towards him? He certainly hope it wasn't just towards him because he didn't know if he can handle her.

However Rae on the different matter....

Sylveon leapt forward and secured her spot on the bed opposite of Ariada, drawing down the blankets and fluffing the pillows dutifully. Rae offered Ariada a warm smile, not quite able to squeal like the young woman, but she was wondering what tonight would entail.

The brunette showered before, then switched into terry cloth pajamas, her long wet hair dampening her shirt and reaching her hips. She plopped onto her bed, sighing dramatically as her body sunk into the surprisingly comfortable mattress.

"If we had a giant window overlooking the ocean, room service and a flat screen, I'd say this is just like the heights in Undella bay," She said lightly, thankful for the shelter, but some luxuries were addictive. Sylveon purred in agreement, situations herself in Rae's lap, warm to the touch.

"But Hoenn's beautiful, too." She added. "Where do you want to visit the most? Do you think Red and Blue will travel with you all over the region?"

--

"Not my girlfriend," Red sighed loudly, but there wasn't much denying in his tone. In fact, he'd rather like to say the opposite, but it wasn't true. Yet.

"She just wants your attention," Red told him, flipping over, onto his back. "You're like a brother. So she's inclined by the sibling rulebook to torture you." He laughed lightly, but knew his friend was genuinely frustrated.

"On a different note. Rae's not so bad, yeah?" He said awkwardly, unable to think of much else to say. They'd done their reminiscing and teasing already.

"Hoenn is quite the sight." Ari grinned, glancing over to the model beside her. "Ah, and yeah. Blue, although you can't see it, is kinda scared that if I'm alone I'll do something weird. There's two reason why he's with me right now: to see Red die in Hoenn by the sudden change of temperature and to make sure I don't do anything stupid," she laughed. "And I'm excited to visit Sootopolis City. It's...different for sure. I mean, have you seen pictures of that city? It looks amazing!" Ari cried out, stroking Eevee's head.

"What about you? Do you have any plans for your first adventure around Hoenn?" she asked, shifting so she laid on her stomach while her chin is propped up on her palm.

~

"You wish she was your girlfriend," Blue grinned, falling back on one his beds. "I see you're advancing there, champ," he teased, his eyebrow wiggling as he kept eye contact with his best friend. "And brother my ass. If she's get to torture me, then I get to torture her." As that wasn't true enough. The two are always bickering like brother and sister. Let's not mention the fact that Blue can be overprotective of Ari.

However, once Red mentioned Blue, his face flushed. "Yeah...she's really pretty," he mumbled, his mind drifting off to the beautiful model. "Surprised I haven't heard of her. Then again...Ari is all over the internet. Probably knows anyone and everyone that is quote: 'Internet famous'" Blue snickered, knowing that his little "sister" knows about almost everything.
