Realistic or Modern Age of Vikings (Always Accepting!)

She looked up at magnus, shaking her head, "I'll see you in there maybe" she wiped her cheek looking back out to the water, "I don't feel like drinking right now" she spoke quietly, "but don't let that stop you". She shifted pulling her knees up to her chest, keeping herself warm, the skirt of her dress working as a blanket.

Magnus's grin transformed into a frown as he saw Astrid's reaction. Seating himself next to her, he draped his arm over her shoulders, pulling her in close. "Oh, I've got nothing better to do anyways." He sighed, feeling the warmth of Astrid's body against his. "Tell what's on your mind, huh?" Magnus asked, brushing her russet-colored hair to the side so he could see her eyes. "You had to sit through my blubbering, so I'll gladly sit through yours."

Aron released a brief sigh at the earl's response to him, shrugging off aso he turned and began to walk off. "Look my horses and I will have to part ways, my earl." He walked away from the dramatic situation as he whistled, "Have a good one!"

She let out a sigh, "Magnus, I do not wish you to hate me" she leaned into him, his heat warming her. "I am stuck between two, and I have to be selfish" she hung her head staring at her nails, flicking the dirt from out under them as she sat quietly. A breeze floated around them making her shiver slightly, the Tavern would be a lot warmer than out her, and maybe mead will help get her feelings out. She lifted her head looking back to the water, "let's go have some mead" she accepted his earlier offer.

@John Raptorfist

Magnus rested his head on Astrid's shoulder while she spoke, closing his eyes. "I don't know if I could ever hate you Astrid." When the woman spoke of how she stuck between 'two', Mangus assumed she was talking about Agnar and him. Sighing,Magnus gave an answer. "Just choose whomever your heart leads you too. If I end up getting...rejected, Of course I will feel terrible. But, I cannot help that, and someday, I will move on. The same goes for Agnar." He took a gulp. "Just think, who do you think you'll be the happiest with." Magnus said, fearing that he already knew the answer to that statement. It was very quiet for a moment, so quiet in fact that Magnus, could even hear the thrum of Astrid's heartbeat as he leaned against her. But, the silence was broken as she took up his previous offer to head over to the tavern. "A mug of mead lightens the soul, my father always said." Magnus gave Astrid a small smile before getting to his feet and walking over to the Tavern with her. As per the usual, the place was bustling with people, most singing, or fighting, or yelling. It didn't matter as long was what they were doing was loud. As they strolled in the building's door, Magnus welcomed the warm air heated from the large, roaring, fireplace and the sweet aroma of mead on the air. Grabbing two mugs of mead from a passing barmaid, he thrust one into the hands of Astrid. "I hope the drinks are good tonight. I remember once when I was drinking here, I found a frog in my mead." Magnus chuckled, chugging some of the sweet honey brew out of his mug before taking a seat.

@Sharkiee

She looked down at her mug, squinting to see what was in there, "A frog?" she blurted out, trying not to laugh, "and how much had you had before the frog?" she teased, her mood feeling suddenly better. She took a large mouthful of mead, swallowing loudly. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Azura, excusing herself she stepped outside to see her. "Azura, please come sit with us" she smiled, the mead already taking effect, she grabbed her hand pulling her back to the table.

@DarknessSpirit @John Raptorfist

"Three...no! Four! Four mugs of mead!" Magnus said with a laugh, seeing Astrid doing the same. "You've gotta believe me! It really was there!" Magnus said in a joking manner, taking a few more gulps of mead. It was nice to see that Astrid had had snapped out of her slump. He narrowed his eyes in mock frustration as he turned his flagon upside down, tapping its bottom to see if any last drop of mead would fall from it. He shrugged, grabbing another mug. Magnus then watched as Astrid suddenly walked out the doorway, and from what Magnus could see, it looked like she was talking to Azura. Though Azura wasn't Magnus's favorite person, but he had and a long day, and was in no mood to get in a fight. Anyways, the tavern was a place to forget your troubles, let loose, and be merry. "Yes, Azura! Come drink with us!" He shouted from practically across the room.

@Sharkiee @DarknessSpirit

Azura was watching the four men with amusement as they fought over her, punching each other to the floor, sipping her drink with an amused grin, a shout startled her and she looked across the room, finding Astrid and Magnus. She sighed at the sight of Magnus was pulled over and she sat down. Azura looked over at the four men with a smirk "This is fun" she said smugly, taking a sip of her drink.

Astrid drank more mead , watching the fair skinned girl, "Azura, tell me about England" she asked, she never got to see much when they raided. "What are the villages like? And the healers? Oh and the food" She grinned, she loved the hearing stories, her stomach growled slightly at the mention of food.

Magnus sat back in his chair, humming whilst taking a swig of mead as Astrid asked Azura about England. "Oh yes, and don't forget to tell us more of this...god...you told me of before." He emphasized the word 'God', as it felt strange to refer to only a single god. But, Magnus hoped that this jolly atmosphere would last far into the night.

The Slavic whistled as he pushed the door into the tavern open, patting a man on the shoulder as he went to a large tub of honey mead. He took a large drinking horn that had been hanging from his belt, dipping it in as he continued his walk through. He noticed the table with the fighting men, moving on toward it and around them, coming up to a seat next to her. "Mind I sit?"

@DarknessSpirit

"England. Not much to tell. There's castles that reaches as high as the sky, food is unique, served in different styles, many different seasons. Healers use herbs, like you, but they do other things too. " Azura explained. Azura turned her head as the easterner from earlier came over she glared at him. "Yes I do. Scram." She said coldly.

Astrid stared at Azura, shocked by her behavior, "no please sit, the more the merrier!" She kicked Azura under the table, "who might you be?" She smiled at the new comer, "please do not take offence to her.. crude nature" she nodded towards the seat opposite her.

Azura gave Astrid a look that said "What are you doing?!" She then turned to the easterner with a fake smile "She means please sit... Somewhere else." She said with an irritated glare. Azura looked back at Astrid, kicking her under the table.

She stared at her confused, "what?" She mouthed to her, she stared from her to the man, shifting awkwardly. She took a sip of her mead, swallowing quietly before speaking again, "well... I'm just trying to be polite" she moved her hair to one side playing with a it a little.

Azura couldn't just say she didn't like him. Or that she was just a tad bit embarrassed that he saw her naked. "I'll explain later" she mouthed back. Azura replied back to Astrid "Your fine." She says kindly, she turned to the easterner "You ok the other hand can go. Away. Go sit somewhere else and drink. Preferably across the room. Or in a different tavern. Maybe even a different continent!" Azura said sarcastically.

Malina

Malina left the Earl and headed into the Tavern. She spotted Azura and Astrid speaking with an easterner. Looking confused, she got a mug of mead and went to sit with the girls.

"And who do we have here?"

She asked taking a seat by Astrid. She was curious about the man, and based on the Earl's reaction she was a bit wary of him as well. However she was not that hot headed so she would

watch him, something did not feel quite right about him.

@Sharkiee @DarknessSpirit

Aron had sat down either way, leaning backnowledge in the chair despite the woman's refusal. He lifted to the drinking horn to his lips as he took a larage swig of the honeyed drink, his attention being taken by the two womend who approached, gaining Azura's way. "Looks like we have a majority." He jested shortly with her, despite knowing well that she wanted the opposite of his company. His attention took a shift from Astrid and Azura, looking to the newcomer as she came over. "Aron, best fighting Slav you'll meet." He grinned shortly, taking a final swig of his honey mead before looking back ay her, his eyes resembling pale ice. "You?"

Astrid watched the man as she drank, his attention on the other girls. She'd had enough, finishing off the last of her mug she turned to the group, "enjoy the rest of the night" a slight slur in her voice, she glared at Azura for a moment, "be nice" she added before turning on her heel and heading out the doors to the tavern.

Outside it was dark, it took a while for her eyes to adapt, slowly she made her way back towards the hall. She stopped when she got the the door, unsure is she should go in and say something to Agnar, she was aware of everyone frustration in this triangle. She let out a sigh resting her head against the wooden door.

Magnus nodded to Astrid as she stepped out. Turning his attention to Aron, he spoke. "Russian? Illmenian? Pol? Ruthenian? Where are you from, Slav?" The swede asked, taking a sip of his mead whilst leaning back in his chair, the wood creaking slightly. "I'ts been a while since I've talked to a Slav." Chuckled Magnus, he was feeling in a particularly good mood on this night.

Malina

Malina replied in a cold voice, she knew where he was from, his people had attacked hers a few times over the years. She knew once she spoke he would pick up on the accent.

Malina, best Romani fighter you will ever meet

She replied before downing her mead and sitting down next to Azura on the other side of Magnar. She watched him with cold eyes while Magnar seemed jovial at the Slav's arrival.

Aron glanced inside his now empty mead horn, letting his hand hang off to the side as he rose his brow at the woman, speaking back to her with an unreturned grin. "Well, I'll have to watch for any other Romanis." His eyes trailed up to Magnus, giving out a short cough before he spoke, "Pol. Was born to a group of wanderers, we made raids from Francia to lands with people that'll make you piss yourself." A short chuckle came off from him, sitting up in his chair and leaning his arms on his legs. "Aron's the name, good man. Yourself?"

"Ah. I haven't met many a Pol. Most of the raids my family and I went on were to Rus and Ruthenia. I'm Magnus by the way, I'm not from around here either, but not as far away as Poland, I'm Swedish." The man said his deep, grumbling voice as he picked his teeth. "And what do you mean, 'lands that'd make me piss myself?" Magnus asked, genuinely intruged.

@northguy

Aron took a moment to think before a grin came over his expression, glancing up for a moment before speaking. "Have you ever seen golden tipped mountains constructed by ancient men, and women with skin of onyx?" He grinned at his own words, memories of his youth coming back to him as he leaned back in the chair. "Would that be enough to make you piss yourself?" He let out a short laugh as his hand went to the back of his long blonde hair, settling on his thick braid.

@John Raptorfist

"I've never heard of such a thing." Magnus chuckled, scratching the back of his neck. "But, I don't know about pissing mypants." The Viking said, with somewhat of a slur to his speech. The mead was starting to take effect. "I remember once when I was raiding in eastern Ruthenia, our party came across this...endless horde of men on horseback. They could move like lightning and were very skilled with the bow when on their horses. They called themselves the Magyars. My father met up with their leader, whom they called a 'khan', it turned out they were in Ruthenia for the same reason we were, to raid the local Slavs. Once we even saw them attack a village, it was razed within the hour. Now that, would make you piss your pants."
