we levelled up. when we woke up, one of the things the DM told us to do is multiclass into ??? (Ascended) and that's why we were all rolling that d100 HP dice.
Essentially your zodiac will decide what kind of ascended powers you have, and if you wanna try applying a roll you do 1d20 + 1(Level in Ascended)

When you died, you were brought back to life and restored as an ascended, so you need to go up 1 level and use it to multi-class into ascended (I noticed you did not to that yet) (1D100)

The gods are testing you, seeing if you are worthy to be restored, the first trial is an accuracy test of destroying flying orbs. You can use your weapons or your new ascended powers (given to you when you when restored. as DuckPrince as explained

I think you also had a low d100 roll, we're allowed to roll the actual die and if we get something below average, we can take the average (50) instead.

Yes, it's hit points and ASI. And if their HP roll is below the average (50), then they may use the average instead.
